There is an option for healthcare visa, Medical Improvement Visa and health treatment.

The problem is that some Nigerians are not interested in reading and researching.
Interesting!

Thanks. This is sad and i sympathize with them.

It is always best to apply for visa when not yet showing to avoid trouble.
It is not a case of showing o, based on what I was told. It's the instruction given from MoFA from Brazil: to do pregnancy test

I don't know anything about the hepatitis, so I hope the vaccines cover all types of hepatitis, I also hope I can do it in any government hospital. Tanx!
First, go to a general hospital and do the test; if tested negative, you will start the vaccination. You will take 3 shots in a space of 6 months.

I have always admired your comments with your caveats: "i am not an expert, I am only expressing my thoughts, we are always learning" Thats a paraphrase of your caveat. However, on this one, perhaps you forgot that by claiming my findings are (at bold), you even used extreme adjective " absolutely" to disprove my comment. You were even sure it's 200% false (correcting your typo) info. Haba!!!

If I were you, I would evaluate the claim I made. I said someone didn't come back to update us. You didn't talk about it. Your last statement negated all your submission.

You would notice, I have asked you questions in the past about a safe place to have a baby. If I don't have anyone interested, I will not ask you anything.

Just like you, she applied outside of Nigeria with her husband and kids. The husband went with their applications as the sponsor. But they only accepted his own and said the wife has to be there physically. She went last week Monday with the kids. No interview. They did biometrics and were even advised about safety and security measures while in Brazil. In fact, they were asked to come pick up their visa after 5 working days once they get a go ahead from Brazil. However, there was a public holiday from Tuesday. They were given collection papers to come on 13th May for their visa. But on Sunday, the husband was called from the embasssy and was told they got a mail from Brazil that the wife needs to do medical test. So what's fasle info here. If I could remember vividly, someone alluded to preg tests in the previous pages, may be you or someone else, not sure.

Yes, you were never asked. Remember, your baby might be 1 or 2 years old now.

I rest my case wink wink wink
Update:

The visas were not approved because of the pregnancy.

You don't need to sign the uploaded forms if you are applying online. You will sign electronically with your name at the point of submission/transmission of your application. What computer are you using? shocked shocked

Should I reapply again?? And apply this time with my husband's accounthuh

Someone said something about writing a letter of appeal to the embassy...is it possible?
Don't let anyone deceive you. You better reapply and address concerns raised in your letter of refusal.

Na wetin our brothers and sisters wen dem give tourist visas wen reach there and no come back do to us. Now the embassy will prefer somone inviting you and stating you are coming for vacation and you will go back at the end of your visit. Who doubts your purpose of visit won't stick his or her head for you to give you an invitation letter. Not to discourage you, apply with hotel reservation if that's all you have, you might be lucky to get the visa. Take care
What about those with invitation and still got denied? There are so many parameters involved. If you qualify, you will get. Simple.

Good day guys, please if I want to apply for an online visit visa for me and my son who is below 1year old will i havr tocreat two acct for both of us or my account only will cover the both of us?
You can add him to your application in the questionnaire. Answer YES, where they ask whether you are travelling with a family member. Once you do that, you will fill his details. You will eventually see his forms and documents to upload for him under your profile. You don't need two acct

Financial Management while giving birth in Brazil

Hello guys. I just taught of something very important and would like to share.

Please do not exchange your money into dollars in Nigeria with the aim of exchanging hard currency while in Brazil. Do not take physical Niara either. This is because the Brazilian government charges a 10% fee on all physical currencies exchange. This basically means that you will be losing 10% of your entire money.

Instead, get a bank card from your bank and have all your money in there. Also, almost everyone (even the coconut seller on the street) accepts credit or debit card in Brazil. Your can pay for goods and services this way including your medical bills. This way you avoid the 10% charge on hard currency exchange. (Of course you may pay bank charges from your bank) but much better than the 10% tax. I was a victim of this and don’t want to you to be one. Cheers
Good! Do keep giving the houses titbit!

Fill the passport application, take it to the passport office and the officer will tell you exactly what to do which is to give you ur application no to send to ur hubby. ur hubby is to go with his int passport to canada consult office to sign the docs. After signing, it will be faxed bk to the passport office u applied at.

Pls i want to know if its difficult to get a visa, what you need to secure a tourists visa and d possibility if getting a job on a tourist visa. Im trying to prepare my mind for the journey ahead. Im not pregnant yet but wont mind a baby being my ticket to PR.
You can't work with tourist visa in Brazil; it's a serious offense in Brazil.

If i want to go with my two kids do i have to pay for them also and get their passports ready at the time of visa application? Pls forgive my ignorance. Thus is uncharted territory. Salute.

Clarification of certain things based on my personal experience. Stand to be corrected

1. Being pregnant does not disqualify you from obtaining a Brazilian visa so far as your stated intention matches that of the visa category being applied for. For example: tourist visa-for tourism and education visa-for education

2. Unlike the US (under medical treatment visa), There is no visa category for giving birth in Brazil. So if you apply for a tourist visa which is meant for tourism and state that your purpose for applying for the visa is to give birth, the immigration officer has no other option than to deny you the visa even if you show all the money in the world and tell them you want to give birth in a private hospital. There is just no visa category for you so you will be denied. This may work for the US but remember, US is US and Brazil is Brazil.

3. If you are pregnant and showing and apply for a tourist visa and convince the visa officer that your intention is for tourism and meet all the requirement, then there is no reason to deny you.

4. If you manage to enter with a tourist visa, you will not be denied medical care in Brazil in both public and private hospitals. When your baby is born in Brazil, the constitution guarantees your child Brazilian citizenship and a passport no matter the parents, nationality, visa status or the type of visa they use to enter the country. The constitution also states that parents of a Brazilian child cannot be expelled from Brazil no matter the reason. This means that the immigration office (Police Federal) has no choice than to grant you a permanent residency even if you came to the country with a tourist visa.

ADVICE

Apply for your visa before you start showing to avoid any problem. The most important thing is to enter the country. Your baby will be Brazilian even if you overstay your visa (I am not promoting overstay). I am just making a point. If you are already pregnant and showing, do not lie about it when asked just do not tell them your purpose is to go and give birth. Although it is advisable to apply when not showing.

Hope this was helpful. Cheers
@Adjo10, do you mind telling us the year you gave birth? Sorry if you have mentioned it before.

Hey folmus thanks for the update. I am very sorry if my language sounded harsh. Your update has indeed provided us with new information that I didn’t know about and thank you for that. In fact, I don’t know much and am learning a lot from posts here.

Do you think they probably applied for a family reunion visa instead of a tourist visa? I know in this case they may be required for a med test which is not necessary a pregnancy test. Some times one can mistakenly apply for the wrong visa.

I know a Nigerian friend who went for her tourist visa just last week and was not asked for a pregnancy test. But of course every situation may be different. Thank you very much folmus.

Cheers
No, tourist visa, not family reunion o.

So this is my findings: and perhaps why @Logachev has refused to update us. It seems Justwise has the precognition of doors closing:

Any female applying for a tourist visa is mandated to do pregnancy test Note: you won't be asked when you submit your documents. You will be called after you've paid and submitted everything as requested from the Ministry of foreign Affairs from Brazil.

Hi guys, I just want to ask one question. A friend of mine apply for UK visa in Europe. 21th of May and got a message that his passport has been despatched from the UK visa section on the 3rd of June. It just 9 working days. Do you think it a good sign since the passport has been sent early or bad news? Because it say 15 working days for 100 % decided. He is nervous. Thanks guys
Why is he afraid? It can be either; the pace has nothing to do with approval or rejection. Perhaps it's a period of less activities and decisions can be taken asap based on what he stated in his application. I have had less than 5 days before and granted.

OK house...so I travelled to Lagos last month and submitted an application for Brazil tourist visa at the Consulate. My wife is pregnant but we did it nicely that it didn't show a bit. We had a nice chat with the VO and he said we would get a mail informing us to come pick our passports soonest. He said if we weren't available, we could detail someone to pick up for us provided we inform the consulate prior...and all. Howbeit, I had to travel last weekend and I informed a friend in Lekki that he would do the pick up for us when the time comes. Now I have received a mail form the Consulate inviting us for an interview. I don't know if this is an invitation to pick up our passports or another round of VO interview. Mind you every single document submitted was authentic and original so I'm not worried of any such incident. I just want to confirm if this email title is meant to be invitation for collection of passport or not
So what's the update on this?

Why dont you write a letter with the details of the appointment you booked with dr ayodele. Explain that your doctor will not do email correspondence. That your appointment was booked over the phone. Write his name, date and time of the appointment in the letter. You can include his tekephone no should they need to confirm the appointment. Upload this letter in the section of the additional docu they asked for. Shikena
