ajajd: Good afternoon Dear, actually it's not a paid flight, just a booked flight reservation. So it's their need to cancel and if yes would it affect the chances of getting my application approved? If it's not paid, it's automatically cancelled after the number of days you are allowed to hold on the reservation after you booked. It doesn't affect your application. |

ajajd: @ Hotstepper Thanks Dearly for your response regarding the hotel reservation. Sorry I didn't include the reserved Flight ticket, I should also cancel that too right?? Thanks You are not meant to use a paid flight reservation. Check the terms of your ticket for cancellation. Your visa can't be gotten in 6 days if approved. |

Teju2014: I understand perfectly well you guys view. I was only reiterating their "Modus Operandi" Approval is by no means of good job/ salary ooo or travel history. I have known from time in memorial that Visa Approval is by luck and not based on facts..it merely on assumption. We currently have valid multiple visas. We included entry stamps and all but eh i guess that wasn't good enough. But i have applied for GMCS notes to know what exactly the issue is for future purpose. Not bothered the slightest.
All the best to those awaiting response! I pray your application doesn't get to London Office ooo. They take their bloody time and don't like when you follow up(typical British Attitude). They are ruthless and mean(lol). Even Abu Dhabi is worst. They hardly check anything from the different cases I have seen, from Nigerian applicants. |

I have received the passport request for my folks. How do they go about taking it to VFS? Do they need to pay money? Do they put in self addressed return envelopes? I'm a little confused on the next steps. It's Lagos VFS. Thanks No confusion there; they should submit their passports for their visa at vfs office. No money is paid. |

Teju2014: Sorry to burst your bubble but I doubt it. I received my response yesterday and they denied us (myself and my mum) even though our application took 6weeks(online). The event we were to go for is this Saturday and was suppose to fly out yesterday. The only reason given for ours was them not sure we would leave Canada(Myself and My Mum). We submitted everything you could think of; properties documents, good Bank account, the invitee data page, utility bill all my education background in the UK, multiple visas on both passport. Bare in mind that, i am a professional with good pay too so why would i toss everything away to be illegal in Canada?? A country that with strong immigration policy? when i can easily slide to the US and plough it out eh?? smh
We are well traveled and my mum has been travelling since the 70s. i wonder why a Grandma who is in her mid sixties would want to leave her husband behind and all her properties to stay in Canada illegally. They purposely delayed the application so so would have a good ground for refusal. It seems to me they frown upon you attending events such as Wedding and Birthdays, PR is the only way now guys, longer process but sure to get it
I intend reapplying just to put them in their place, i honestly don't to give a monkeys about them...aside the short summer what is fantastic about their long cold winter Unfortunately, this is the situation for many people even with everything you could think of. They gave people who have travelled extensively travel history as reason for denial. A GCMC note might help your case before reapplying. |

Jayne07: hello house, my entire family has just been denied a visit visa based on travel history and purpose of visit. the hotel reservation we did expired June 5th and we were denied June 19th. is it possible we book a new hotel reservation and reply them with it as a mail (not reapply). is this possible? and does anyone know how this can be done? I have said it repeatedly: family visit visas will take the grace to be granted. I am not saying it's impossible. If you reapply again with hotel booking, nothing will change. they will give new generic reasons not mentioned before. |

Bjkhaleed: Good Morning Nairalanders & Happy New Month. Please I've a vital question to ask about Aunt Intl. passport. Her Head is covered with hijab on the picture in the Intl. Passport (because of her working visa to Oman she did that then about 2yrs back). Thus, she's embarking on another journey to Canada. So her curiosity now is, will the embassy accept the Intl. Passport to stamp visa on it due to the hijab or not (so we can get another new passport for her again in alteration of the recent).
Thanks 1. How do you intend to get a new passport with 3 years validity on the current one? Nothing is wrong with having hijab. There are muslims in Canada using hijab, niqab. So it's not an issue. 2. Your aunt is a muslim, hence why she needed hijab on her passport. Oman doesn't mandate any woman to use hijab for visa. There are thousands of expats working there that do not cover their head. |

I am the sole sponsor of my wife and kid.
On my wife and kids application, what should I input in the question "How much money are you planning to spend on your visit to the UK?"
I have budgeted 1800 pounds because my kid is just 5 months old and does not require a ticket.
Thanks Does your baby have international ticket to travel for free? |

It's not necessary stating visa in your employment letter. However, if you want to, state what specific you are going for. |

I submitted application for my family online on 26/6/19 by 27/6/19 biometrics request letters were sent for every member of the family except the 12years old applicatant.
Does it mean that Children don't do biometrics? If so what age is exempted? Why am asking is because the rest of the children that got biometrics letter request were ages 17 and 15 respectively except the applicant that is 12years old. Exempted till 14. Pray very well o for family visa with Canada. Good luck!! |

bibiliscious: Good afternoon,
I urgently require your assistance on behalf of my Fiance's TRV Application (Paper based).
Many thanks in Advance.
My Fiance got his final decision email today and and was denied basis the below
Family ties n Canada and in your country of residence. Purpose of Visit
A Brief summary My Fiance works and lives in Lagos Nigeria. He has about several property development investments in Nigeria spanning over 12 - 25years (We attached this during application).
His Sister and her kids are based in Canada and has a PR while his Mother has been in canada for almost 3years awaiting her PR (She filed for PR and have been given a work permit pending when the PR is confirmed).
He added their details to his Family Info while filling the forms so we are a bit puzzled as to why they refuse basis Family ties in home country and canada (When we have proven that he has both- Though we never mentioned he would visit his family in canada ). Also His Elderly Father is based in Nigeria .
Ps : We also attached a detailed cover letter and itinerary showing breakdown of his stay- Tourism purposes (Yet he was denied basis purpose of visit).
We are engaged to be married November 2018 . Please advise me of the next step as he wants to re-apply again as soon as possible.
Your usual assistance is highly appreciated.
Many Thanks Those are generic messages given to everyone. To really know what happened, you might want to request GCMC notes. That will give you a summary why the VO denied you. Imagine telling someone who has been to the UK, US, UAE and European countries he has no travel history. |

Nwaeze6: thank you.... 1)please can I have a sample or guidelines of the letter of explanation/ travel plan for a tourist applicants and (2)please can I apply here online for her while she is in Malaysia rather than her coming back here to naija since it's online. You don't need any guideline or sample; it's clearly stated on the portal. Anything you feel you need to add to your application that's not already there or not clearly explained is what you include in your writing; you can list places you wish to go since there is no place for that. 2. You will be asked where you are submitting the application in your questionnaire. So you should choose where she will submit her application and do her biometric. |

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
I traveled last year to Ireland with hubby and our first son, Our previous passport got expired so we did a new one for hubby and myself and we didn't submit the old passport but a copy of the visa page and all other pages that wasn't empty was made and submitted. Please I need an advise on how to proceed, maybe I should get someone to invite me or I should send with just hotel reservation again and how soon is advisable to apply again. I will appreciate a prompt response. Thanks guys
Documents submitted Reference and leave letter from work for hubby and myself Appointment letter for both of us Hubby last promotion letter Professional practising licence and certificate included. 6 months payslip for both 6 months statement of account for both Pension statement for both Hubby timed deposit certificate Reference letter from Bank 2 landed properties, 1 for each of us Original flight ticket for previous trip to Ireland Flight reservation Hotel reservation (booking. pointednose: I will advise you to not apply in a hurry.
First of all, request for your gcms notes to be sure of the exact reason(s) why you were denied. If you don't address that reason, you may be denied again.
GCMS notes take about 30 days to be ready.
You can google "applygcms" or google any other organization that help with gcms note application .
You didn't have a lot of reasons itemized for your refusal, so I feel knowing what they think is missing in your previous application will help your application.
All the best. Is the electronic one ok ? The one of $18 |
