Helo gurus in the house, pls I have these two question:
I wrote TOEFL twice and with a score of 69, but I needed 79 for a pass. Please I was adviced to take IELTS this time, for the experienced ppl here on this, what's your take on that.
TOEFL again or IELTS.?
For you to need 79, equivalent of 6.5 on IELTS, I recon you are a graduate. If you can't get 79 in TOEFL, I will not advise you to take IELTS. TOEFL is straight forward; IELTS needs you to know its intricacies.

sir please what's quality control?
At every interval,ETS can request for CCTV of every test center to ensure there was no any cheating during the exams. It's done with IELTS too. Sometimes you will need to wait more than the required days for that to be done. Once done, all results will be available online.

Please gurus help me here.
The statement of account that I submitted to the school bears a different name with the one I intend going to the embassy with. It's actually owned by d same person, just that d first is her maiden name. And I have asked d bank to change it as to tally with my surname.

Please I hope my i-20 won't carry d statement I sent to them and also it won't be a problem at the embassy?

Please I need guidelines
Haven't you got your i-20? Does the bold happen in a Nigerian bank? How did you book interview date without your sevis no?

Hello Gurus in the house,

I have gotten an admission in one of school in US to study vocational course certification for 6 weeks.
Please do anyone have an idea on what the visa interview would be like as majority of the post here is on F-1.
What visa were you told by the school? B1/2? it's the same thing. You will answer questions about yourself, the purpose of your travelling.

Gurus in the house, please i need your help with this...it is a big decision i need to make here. Please i need ur advice.
While you can apply for your visa in any US embassy, it's always advisable to apply where you can demonstrate family, economic ties. Check which is applicable to you.

I know this is going to be a little if not lot controversial but part of the dividends of a good education is an ability to read up and learn almost anything you need to know about.

I am in the middle of a build and happen to have time to investigate and plan often times 2 or more stages in advance and also carry out extensive research on quantities required.

When it came to decking there is this standard that is banded about 3 tonnes of 12mm and 2 tonnes of 16mm and then some more of 10 or 8mm also. I made my calculations based on engineering requirements and bought 2.25 of 12mm and 1 tonne of 16mm and 40 pieces of 8mm. I actually bought a little more than my decking calculations cos I was doing a concrete water stand at the same time. Spacing was stated as essentially 6.67inches apart some end up using 6 inches and others 7inches. My build is essentially 50ft by 40 ft. I only ended up buying 4 more pieces of 16mm and had 15pieces of 12mm and 7 pieces of 8mm left over.

When I finish the roofing I will present costings and I can say it's been a eye opener.

Mind you I have been in a position to like a hulk monitor major stages of the progress(as I virtually lived on site) save for some stages which I have had to allow.
We are waiting patiently!!

When you have permament papers in any country then yes you can follow your passion and do what you like.. in some countries you can decide to watch Tv the whole day and claim benefit .

When you don't then society trend dictates what possible and what limiting. .......

haba sister take am easy na. if you don't know TAMU-Kingsville, i am sure you don't know the other TAMUs in Texas. when you hear TAMUC (Texas A&M Commerce) you will say it sounds like a subject in secondary school; TAMUCS (College Station) sounds like a train station;TAMUCC (Corpus Christi) sounds like the name of a messiah.

everyone must not attend Unilag, that is why we also have Uni-Ibadan, Uni-Ilorin, Uniben etc...
And Lamar Uni is not even a bad school. I know some folks that studied there.

House please and please I need information. I applied to etsu for fall 2018, submitted everything in March, yet to get a decision from them.
I also want to apply to Texas a and m university commerce for masters in computer science, please hope they don't need TOEFL and I had a cgpa of 3.74 in my undergraduate degree in computer science, what is the US equivalent please.
Anyone currently in Texas a and m university commerce please....
Please gurus here, answer me please
I don't think anybody can give you the info you need. Send emails to the ETSU to enquire about your admission status. Go to Texas A & M website and check admission requirements. Go to https://www.wes.org/ to check the equivalent of your CGPA.

Oga this thing na just simple English be it B1/B2 F1 /F2 or any kind of visa all passports for travel to the USA should have at least 6 months past the date of intended stay before they expire. The guy asked if he could use his passport expiring around nov for his proposed interview ard first week of June I said it won't be a good idea because by the time he will be getting to the POE his passport won't be valid for six months as advice by the USA embassy so it's advisable he gets a new one
Good advice, indisputably. You can enter the US with a valid visa on a passport with at least 6 months

Not at all, Tower has quality standards as respectable company they will never compromised on the standards set by SON and other international standards. Again that does not mean other can make better product, mind you Tower is an international Company with branching all over Africa and other part of the world. Many Chinese products are not as bad as people thought, it is our people that goes their to compromise the standards just to make huge profits. If you are ready to pay for genuine Chinese products is always there, it depends on your budget.
He actually worked on my project. And I didn't doubt the integrity of the materials used. So I was wondering where the Chinese come in. @ the bold- if he truly didn't use the Tower, he must have used the bolded.

Oga I'm not wrong so don't even go there if there is anyone wrong it's you and you only trying to ridicule yourself out of over sabi
This is why a lack of will to listen to correction is mentally dangerous. That part you cited is what is termed 'generic'. Go and check for B1/B2, you will see same requirement. Call the US embassy and ask them. I simply can't understand why you want to mislead people here with your oversabi. If you truly know about the US, by now you should understand what we are saying. You only need a passport valid for at least 6 months at the time of your application for F1 and not 6 months beyond your intended period of stay. cool cool
