safarigirl: All these people were hurriedly included because we experienced a lacuna that could not be immediately filled
Maduka became first choice because of an injury to Uzoho, else, he was just a backup
Uzoho came on off of his performance in La Liga, perhaps you have forgotten we got him from a top league. Akpeyi also benefitted from the same lacuna, because he was third choice. Ezenwa came off of a brilliant showing in CHAN.
Alampasu was invited once upon a time, but we don't know what became of his career and he has since fallen off.
If you have suggestions, state them and keep it moving. You will mention NPFL goalies that have neither qualified for CHAN nor put up a half decent showing on any continental competition. I know it cannot pass those ones, and it is hard to prove those ones are better.
At most, they are all within the same bracket There was no lacuna because Dele Aiyenugba was still active in Israeli top division as at the time Ikeme was diagnosed in 2017. There were better goalkeepers in the NPLF then that were far better than Ezenwa who became the number 1 from number 3. Why was Maduka brought from fourth division to the National team ahead of those in the NPLF in the first place? Remember, you said a goalkeeper must be tested in a quality league and put in a good numbers in their club before getting any call up? Are you insinuating German fourth tier league is better than NPFL or even the Israeli’s second division were Adebayo Adeleye put in good numbers and had several clean sheets? Was that not the reason Alampasu was dropped because he dropped to the Portuguese third tier league? Uzoho didn’t have good numbers in the Laliga because he only played 2 games before he was called. Notwithstanding, he had good numbers in the second division and deserved to be called but he has not measured up to the standard set by previous SE goalkeeper. The point is other goalkeepers should be tested to ascertain how good they are instead of these ones that have broken hearts. |

jasena: Football administrators in the country are not after the team's success, they are after their personal interest and force players on the coaches. This isn't the best team selection Nigeria can produce Right on point. They are not interested in the team's success. Looking at the team, there's a little bit of sentiment in selection of players. |

safarigirl: Chelsea are not limited by nationality
I am very sure if Alloy Agu could, he too, would have scouted Mendy from Senegal.
A goalkeeper has to put in great numbers in a decent club, before the coach can scout them.
The quality of the league and the quality of the players performance will always be a consideration first. Are we limited with just Uzoho, Maduka, Akpeyi, and Ezenwa? Because those are the goalkeepers that have seen enough game time in the watchful eyes of Alloy. Besides, where was Maduka playing before...fiam became number 1? What great numbers did Uzoho put in in his club and in which quality league? Is it Ezenwa that a bench warmer that put in a great numbers? Haba mana! Let us call a spade a spade. |

Danielnino00: Thelonecitizen and thesupernerd have once done a statistical comparison of Maduka and Uzoho in the GWG and Uzoho clearly edged him.. You are talking as if you don't know the history of goalkeeping in Nigeria.. We have always been known for producing good goalkeepers, and wherever they play doesn't matter as long as they are good.. Where did you put this energy when Rohr called up Maduka from the German fourth division? where was this energy when Uzoho was unjustly pushed to second choice because he got injured.. You can sugarcoat it as much as you like, but the fact remain that as long as the super eagles is concerned, Maduka hasn't done anything to justify his inclusion as the first choice..it doesn't matter if he is playing for Man City..it is his performance in the super eagles that we should be more concerned about.. Both are not good enough for the SE. It's the duty of the goalkeeper coach to scout for a better goalkeeper just like Chelsea searched for a world class goalkeeper. The goalkeeper coach is either lazy or corrupt. |

somehow:
There's too much corruption in the team. Personal interest supercedes National interest. Else how can a bench warmer goalkeeper be called ahead of the ones playing and having clean sheets in the same NPLF, not to talk of the one doing well in a first division in Europe? Despite the fact that the goalkeeper department caused us on two occasions in the AFCON. Some people are just callous. |

codemaniacs: It's a general list that should be broken down to 23 players or the amount of players the tournament permits.
I will include Awoniyi and Olayinka. I forgot about them. The list was beginning to have too many forwards so I just decided to stop adding players..
As for Awoniyi, olayinka, Sadiq, onyekuru, Ihenacho, Nwakwame , onuachu will never make my team.
I believe in 2022 forwards are at least supposed to have speed.
My likely list below:
Forwards Osimhen Yira sor Dennis Dessers Lookman Amoo Ejuke Simon Chukwueze. ( On standby and I didn't like his AFCON performance ) Terrem moffi. ( On stand by ) Olayinka ( on standby and I liked the through pass he gave Sadiq against Tunisia S.E needs wingers that can pass like that and he doesn't try to dribble or hold the ball for long ). Sadiq ( on Standby because his quite fast and can press)
Midfielders Iwobi Aribo Ndidi Onyeka Bonke Nwakwali ( on standby and I liked his through balls and corner kicks during the AFCON )
Defenders Semi ajayi Omeruo Ola Aina Bassey Akpoguma Ebuehi Sanusi
Keepers Uzoho Okoye Any good keeper they can find. Are you saying the aforementioned forward players don’t have speed? I am not sure you know what you are talking about. If you had mentioned Sadiq, Nwakeame and Onuachu I would have understood but seeing Onyekuru makes me believe you don’t know what you are talking about. You are just trying to make excuses to drop some of these players. Well, you are not different from Eguavoen in my own opinion. |

codemaniacs: List of Nigeria's striker must include Osimhen. Players like Ighalo, Musa ,onazi and Shehu should not be anywhere near the S.E.
Nigeria currently has a golden generation and Eguavoen is messing it up by trying to "make everyone happy".
Depending on The amount of players that the tournament allows.. this are the S.E players that should be getting a call up.
Forwards Osimhen Yira sor Dennis Dessers Lookman Terrem moffi Amoo Ejuke Simon Chukwueze Sadiq Ihenacho Onuachu Nwakwame Onyekuru
Midfield Ndidi Onyeka Bonke Aribo Yusuf Tijani Onyedika Etebo
Defenders Semi ajayi Ola Aina Bassey Akpoguma Ebuehi Sanusi Omeruo Balogun Ekong
Keepers Uzoho Okoye Any good keeper they can find. Why do you think the bolded deserves to be getting call up? You even mentioned Yira Sor but Ignored Peter Olayinka who is doing well in Czech league and has been consistent for the past 5 seasons if not more. He is even their captain in some games recently. What has Onyekuru done this season that he deserves to be getting a call up ahead of Iwobi? There’s no Awoniyi on your list despite scoring more goals in all competitions than all our strikers in top 5 leagues in Europe but Terrem Moffi with just 4 goals is on the list. Can you please explain? What makes you think you are not different from Eguavoen? |

Truthisunique3: you can only rant online you have no say in apc has was proven last week
The foolishness here is to tag one person that left the party as the whole state that left
Shekaru and ganduje would remain in apc and bring the numbers as usual
Tambuwal won wammako with less than 1000 votes in sokoto, wammako is pro buhari
Adamawa is pro atiku right from time even in 2019 but apc would still get 30% there at least
Rivers who cares about it buhari has been loosing it and becoming president You claimed nPDP will remain and that’s what I debunked. Now, which party won Sokoto, Adamawa and Rivers? APC or PDP? The answer is the reflection of who controls those nPDP states. Buhari has always won in Kano but he is no longer on the ballot. Notwithstanding, CPC will always win in some parts of the North but once the remaining decamps, it will go back to his local champion status. |

Truthisunique3: you are the novice here
The loosing block would be Yoruba acn when they decamp npdp, cpc would still remain
Acn decamping doesn't change the fact the party is called apc, the ruling party, it has since grown from that amalgamation party into a household party in the whole Nigeria
Household party like PDP, apc would continue to win across the nation Kano, Rivers, Adamawa, Sokoto, and Kwara state were the nPDP that decamped to APC. Sokoto already left. Wike rules Rivers. Kwara leader Saraki rejoined PDP and very much influential in Kwara and ACN block still has a strong hold too. Meaning Sokoto PDP, Adamawa PDP, and Rivers PDP already left. Please, which nPDP will still remain? Kri kri kri! APC will become a shadow of itself once ACN decamps because majority of NPDP already left. You are definitely a novice. |

Truthisunique3: very simple if you are a Yoruba politician because tinubu controls south west and you can parasite off him
But sucidal move if you are a northern politician because apc is stronger in your region
Aside this how many are ready to leave a national party in power and go to a new regional party CPC fraction of APC has always been strong in the North but they couldn’t win Presidential election. Decamping means they will go back to their former state. We saw 5 nPDP governors decamping from National party in power and went ahead to win against incumbent President. Are you new in Nigeria’s politics? |
