stop all this una 2nd hand reports.
Abia was already paying the minimum wage to most of its civil servants before Buhari became president. We pay better than most state's in Nigeria- that should tell you something Which schools? Early learning? For your information, I lived in Aba for almost a decade. So, I am not given you a second hand report but report from what I saw and experienced. Up till this moment, salaries of teachers are yet to be paid. I lie? Abia state is the worst in the whole of Southern Nigeria. |

The topic says: "Top ten Nigerian states that can't survive without federal government allocation" they also listed the 10 states yet you rushed to ask stupid question. Abia state government is struggling to pay Teacher's salary. Sometimes they owe 5 months to six months. Other ministries are not excluded. Schools are dilapidated. |

ABA is well planned and has many 2 - 3 storey buildings but road infrastructure, drainage system, waste system, basic amenities etc are very poor compared with other cities in SE. |

AfriqueDuZuid: They are 1.5billion people in China.
Access to land may be limited so in order to accommodate many going up is all that can happen. You see it in Hong Kong, Singapore etc limited land to build
However its not an ideal, or best way to build but for them its up or no where. Exactly! Necessity is the mother of invention. Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea built or are building skyscrapers due to the need to utilize their small space to accommodate their ever growing population. There was restriction of skyscraper structures in Lagos State and Abuja though it was only allowed in Lagos Island but recently restriction was lifted in Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Lekki but there’s still limit to the numbers of floors or height allowed in Ikoyi area. Why? Because there is high demand for apartments and office spaces in Ikoyi and Victoria Island respectively, and these places are too expensive to be building one floor or two floors hence the need to effectively maximize the little spaces. As for EAC, it was necessary to stop the erosion from Lagos coastline and reclaim the land from the Atlantic Ocean. The developer and contractor decided to recoup their money from the reclaimed land by building a city with skyscrapers and it has been successful so far. |

TheGoodJoe: Eguavoen, Amuneke to takeover Super Eagles Eguavoen gets two-year contract • Salary to be increased from N3m • NFF discards Peseiro By Emma Jemegah
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finally settled for its Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen, as the substantive coach of the Super Eagles with former international, Emmanuel Amuneke, as his assistant.
Daily Sunsports exclusively gathered that the choice of both Eguavoen and Amuneke was arrived at a meeting between the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and officials of the NFF, yesterday, in Abuja.
According to our impeccable source, the Minister nullified the planned appointment of Portuguese Jose Peseiro and ordered the immediate draft of Eguavoen and Amuneke to the Super Eagles.
Also, the meeting agreed to give Eguavoen a two-year contract with an improvement on his salary from the present N3 million, although the source did not disclose the new salary.
The development comes after Eguavoen’s ‘impressive’ performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, where he led the Super Eagles to hundred percent performance in the group stage before crashing out in the round of 16 to Tunisia.
Already, the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), through its president, Isah Ladan Bosso, had queried the appointment of a foreign technical adviser for the Super Eagles, stating that no foreign coach had ever won a World Cup in the history of the competition.
Bosso said with equal welfare and a good atmosphere, the Nigerian coaches can do better than their foreign counterparts because they understand the playing culture of Nigeria.
Also, scores of Nigerians, including renowned coach, Adegboye Onigbinde, had called for the retention of Eguavoen as the Super Eagles technical adviser.
Chief Onigbinde argued that if Eguavoen, with just about a month to the start of the AFCON, could come up with the performance in Cameroon, he should be encouraged to continue with the team.
https://www.sunnewsonline.com/eguavoen-amuneke-to-takeover-super-eagles/ Kri kri kri kri! We don enter one chance. Egunje go run belle. Be expecting players from obscure leagues over players doing well in a better league. |

I seriously hope we get a good goalie before we face ghana because the ones we have are all suspects… The keeper position is likely the position you need the most experience in.
Why doesn’t the incompetent and inept NFF have someone like Vincent Enyeama scouting potential Goalkeepers of Nigerian heritage that would be interested in playing for Nigeria so there is competition for the spot? I agree with you. NFF should be blamed for allowing incompetent Alloy Agu to continue the with the job. |
