I'd have something to say about it if I was talking to fellow genuine Yorubas on a thread started by a genuinely concerned Yoruba and not an IPOBian mischief-maker creating a congregation ground for the mocking of Yorubas.

This sort of thread is to be derailed. Let NGpatriot, LegendHero or other genuine Yoruba sons and daughters start this thread and I will discuss in it productively.

Next some of you will ask us to take Kanu's rant seriously merely because he pretends to be concerned about the plight of the Yorubas and the SW.
Are you insinuating this is a fake news?

From my observation from Oyo history, they are slow to react but when they do, they spare no prisoners.

Insecurity under this regime is alarming.

Abohboy:
yes, if you ever watched videos of news reporters going into the factory of innoson you would know that they import and assemble the advanced pieces, majority of the car is imported for assembly, innoson cars are very similar to some other Chinese cars, the contract he signed allows him to import the pieces and assemble the Chinese cars under a different brand name, if you bothered to do research you would know. But the more money we pour into them and the more advanced our metallurgical industry becomes the less importation they will need.
Okay.

Abiola won because IBB backed him and this gave most of the south , MB and even parts of the north to vote for him.

It was this endoresment from IBB and a section of the SMC that made people troop out and vote for Abiola.

The Igbo did not vote for Abiola for reasons best known to them and I know they played a huge part in the annulment and were heavily invested in the Abacha govt and Also rock court that they can not be counted in any way or form part of the call to return to democratic rule and I also know they went as far as rallying support for Abacha's transition to civil rule. That's their kind of dirty selfish politics.

Owerri is the perfect place you need to stay based on your criteria. The city is beautiful, serene, has an amazing night life, relatively safe, and good power supply in parts of the city like Spibat area. The only drawback is bad roads but you can always take alternative routes that are good. Owerri is just another Abuja on a low budget.

Thanks for the correction but Elias wasn't the only one though he preceeded Bola Ajibola who was there between 1991-1994 according to Wikipedia. Check for yourself. Wọlé Soyinka sees himself as an Ẹ̀gbá man. There was an interview he granted that he mentioned to have identified more with his maternal side (Ẹ̀gbá).
Bola Ajibola was just a judge. He was not president.

He is still from Isara Remo from a royal family.

Come up with facts and stop beating your hairy chest. Only Abeokuta in ogun state can drown all southeast with achievements.

Abẹ́òkúta achievers

The town alone has 3 people with the GCFR title in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo, Ernest shonekan and (late) MKO Abiola. (this alone has dwarfed all achievements in the east grin)

The first chief Justice of Nigeria was from Abeokuta.

The first Nigerian female accountant is from Abeokuta.

Fela Anikulapo Kuti (he doesn't need much introduction grin) was from Abeokuta.

Funmilayo Kuti (Fela's mum) was the first woman to drive a car in Nigeria.

Efunroye Tinubu was the first woman to own a car in Nigeria.

First African to head World Court is from Abeokuta in the person of Bola Ajibola.

Award winning cinematographer, Uncle Tunde Kelani, is from Abeokuta.

Olikoye Kuti introduced primary healthcare in Nigeria.

The first church, first hospital, first newspaper, first bridge constructed by an indigenous engineer, etc were all in Abeokuta.

Tunde Lemo, former CBN deputy governor is from Abeokuta.

Wole Soyinka is from Abeokuta.

Reuben Abati is from Abeokuta.

Ebenezer Obey is from Abeokuta.

The first Nigeria monarch to visit England was the former Aláké of Ẹ̀gbá.

Shina Peters is from Abeokuta.

Popular musician, Bukola Elemide (Ásà) hails from Abeokuta.

Kizz Daniel is from Abeokuta.

Laycon is from Abeokuta.

The 2 men (Fola Adeola and his friend, now late) who founded GTBank hails from Abeokuta.

Dimeji Bankole (youngest speaker ever in the house of representatives) hails from Abeokuta.

****************
Those are just few I could remember now from Abeokuta alone ooo. Now let's start comparison with your ipob stats grin
Nice one but Taslim Elias was the first and only Nigerian to head world court.

Wole Soyinka is from Isara in remo.

If you add others from other parts of Ogun state like Subomi Balogun the founder of FCMB, Chief Mathew Adekoya Okupe the founder of WEMA Bank, Oba Otudeko the owner of Honeywell etc
Politics › Re: Top 7 Most beautiful State Capitals in Nigeria by forgiveness: 3:27pm On Dec 04, 2020
OfficialAPCNig:
Below is the ranking of top 10 cities in Nigeria by PropertyPro. This ranking is in no particular order according to them.

1. Lagos city
2. Abuja
3. Calabar city
4. Warri city
5. Uyo city
6. Port Harcourt city
7. Kaduna city
8. Akure city
9. Enugu city
10. Jos city

Here is the link to the original article. is the link

So, I've extracted the CAPITAL cities from their list and arrange them in the order of the most beautiful to the least beautiful.

1. Enugu

There is no doubt why the most planned city and the most serene place to train a child in Nigeria shouldn't make the top spot. Only those who have never visited all the listed cities with open mind will argue against this. Perhaps, they should also sue Rockefeller Foundation for naming Enugu in the top 67 most resilient cities in the world.

331 cities from 94 countries applied to be evaluated but Enugu was named in the top 67. According to Rockfeller Fondation during the unveiling ceremony, Enugu is now a model for cities seeking for global resilience.

https://www.rockefellerfoundation.org/blog/next-35-resilient-cities-are/

2. Kaduna City

Why shouldn't the most beautiful city in the North and capital of NW make the top 2 position? Nothing.

This is a position well deserved. Only those who have never travelled will argue this.

3. Port Harcourt

Nigeria's oil city sits comfortably in the third position. No Challenge.

4. Uyo

Thanks to Akpabio and Udom, Uyo now sits above Calabar in the 4th position.

5. Calabar

Nigeria's second capital city is one of the most beautiful capital cities in Nigeria but not more beautiful to sit above the 5th position. But it remains the best capital for tourism followed by Enugu.

6. Jos

Jos should have been above this position, no thanks to insecurities. But still, it remains the most beautiful state capital in the North Central.

7. Akure

I am still wondering what Akure is doing here but since I am only ranking capital cities from PropertyPro list, I will allow them to enjoy the undeserved 7th position. That position rightfully belongs to Ikeja.

Note: if you have never travelled outside your state you are not needed here. If you have never visited at least 5 of those capital cities and spend over 3 weeks, you are not needed here. If you have never taken out at least 5 hours to survey how beautiful at least 5 of those cities are, don't argue here.
Abuja remains number one. Followed by Lagos city and Calabar. Enugu should be number 4.
