Okay na. But I don't like how NPFL teams play their football.

Anyway, France has the edge going into the game today because they are host and also very good.

This formation needs the right personnels to execute it.

Ogu should be removed for Balogun (heard he was sick)

Collins should be replaced by Aina and Chukwueze for Musa.

We can retain the mildfield we used during the world cup by replacing Iwobi with Etebo then we are good to go.

However, in a 4-3-3 formation, Aina, Ekong, Balogun/Omeruo and Collins should lead the defence with Akpeyi as the keeper. While, Mikel, Etebo and Ndidi should lead the mildfield. Then, Ighalo, Kalu and Ahmed be allowed to lead the attack.

The only way pdp will win this is if the supreme court declares supplementary polls illegal
As long as it is fair hearing, I don't have any problem either which side the judgment favours. But induced judgement, no no no.

Senegal beat Nigeria in pre-AFCON 2019 friendly
36 MINUTES AGO ISRAEL IKO
Three –time African champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria lost their last 2019 Africa Cup of Nations build up match 1-0 to the Teranga Lions of Senegal in Ismailia on Sunday.

A defensive mix up in the 20th minute exposed the Super Eagles’ defence and Idrissa Gueye capitalized on it to score the only goal of the match.

Nigeria came close to drawing level on a number of occasions with Odion Ighalo and Wilfred Ndidi almost leveling proceedings before the interval.

Both coaches, who agreed to the game being played behind closed doors, made good use of the opportunity to make their maximum changes.

The better chances in the second half fell to the Nigerians with Samuel Chukwueze’s close range shot blocked with a last ditch tackle and substitute Oghenekaro Etebo’s free kick on the edge of the box rattling the cross bar.

Nigeria’s starting 11

Daniel Akpeyi, Samuel Kalu, Jamilu Collins, Kenneth Omeruo, William Ekong, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and Odion Ighalo

Substitutions: Collins (Ola Aina), Ogu (Oghenekaro Etebo), Chukwueze (Henry Onyekuru), Iwobi (Moses Simon), Ighalo (Victor Osimhen) and Kalu (Chidozie Awaziem)
Courtesy: futaa.com

I remember saying this:
When i heard Super Eagles would be playing 3-5-2 at Afcon. Percy Tau on my mind. Ekong & Omeruo marking same player exposing the whole backline. Kalu constantly overhitting crosses. Slow reactions from the players when in possesion. Iwobi missing in action after 3 to 4 passes till he get substituted. grin grin grin. The Coach has no drive to motivate players for championship triumph. Its not in him. Too conservative.

Politics › Re: How Fulani Jihadists Created The Largest City In West Africa by forgiveness:
ImadeUReadThis:
The Fulanis not only conquered and annexed Ilorin for themselves but went as far as sacking the old capital of Oyo empire.

The Yorubas did a tactical retreat from their pillaged capital of Oyo Ile and headed south, fleeing 90 miles to Ibadan - a then small remote town.

The new settlement then doubled as both the capital of the declining Oyo empire which was facing the ravages of an Islamic Jihad by Sokoto and also as a major refugee camp serving to host fleeing Yorubas from across the old Oyo empire.

The Jihadist had conquered the very capital of old Oyo empire and had annexed Ilorin for themselves so it wont be any surprise that smaller Yoruba settlements and towns in the old Oyo empire where being sacked with little resistance.

It is from the fleeing Yoruba population that Ibadan grew from a small town to one of the largest and densely populated areas in Africa.

We can forgive the British in defining Ibadan as a city when they first approached Ibadan but the honest truth is that Ibadan was nothing but a refugee camp.

Only two other local domains where described as ''Cities'' by the British and they relied on the classical definitions drawn from European antiquity.

The term city comes from citadel and it refers to a heavily fortified castle or town with watch towers. Ibadan had no such artificial defense unlike the cities of Kano and Benin.

The British used contemporary 19th century definitions based on population density and relative cosmopolitan makeup of Ibadan to arrive at the description of Ibadan being a city. Kano is famous for its surrounding walls which at some points was described by a British explorer as being up to 40ft thick. Benin was both walled off and had a complex moat encompassing the walls as a first line of defense.

So please lets not call Ibadan a city any more but rather refer to it for what it truly was - a massive refugee camp!
Fulani didn't conquer Oyo empire. A prince and General of Oyo empire called Afonja destroyed Oyo empire with the help of hired Fulani soldiers. This was done with the hope of establishing a new empire in Ilorin.

Ilorin was neither conquered but a palace coup took place that enthroned Alimi as the new king despite that Fulani never controlled Ilorin.

Moreover, Ibadan was surrounded by a natural wall which happened to be the seven hills. There was never need for any artificial walls for defence. The main reason Ibadan was never defeated, even by the same Fulani jihadist.

Finally, we are not in the 19th century, we are in the 21st century and Ibadan has gone far ahead to be more developed than any cities in Nigeria save Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
