komekn: Agreed 100%
It is ludicrous for us to be using age as a standard when we all know that age cheating is in our DNA.
Firstly, we have no automatic birth data capture so nobody born in Nigeria can have any authentic verifiable age certification. Even our Presidents age is up for question.
Even the MRI is not 100% fool proof as it is an indicative component giving conclusive evidence of what age range you most likely are. Not your actual age.
Age in this regard should never be a yardstick particularly in Nigeria. For goodness sake I have known guys who got married to females older than themselves but it was too late when they found out. Pikins don enter. Honestly, it is indeed ludicrous to use age as a standard to discredit players. You are right on point. |

MetalJigsaw: That guy is blazing hot! I watched the video of his last few goals... clinical finishing! very Impressive. The number of goals he's scored is almost times two of his appearances for his club this season.
He's the most in form Nigerian attacker right now. Ogbeche has being consistent for the past 5 years. He scored 14,12 &10 goals in the last 4 season save last season but the problem with many is his age. They use age to dismerit and disqualify any player they don't want. Age is nothing but a number if an old player is performing better than a younge player. |

We haven't set any benchmark that restricts players.
I watched Ogbeche when he played for Middlesbrough and he looked quite decent. The only problem is that the Eredivisie is one of the easiest league to score in. Nonetheless, his scoring rate cannot be ignored. Well said. |

chimzyblack: FIFA FINES NIGERIA FOR USE OF INELIGIBLE PLAYER IN SHEHU ABDULLAHI AGAINST ALGERIA.
World football governing body FIFA has sanctioned Nigeria for fielding an ineligible player in Shehu Abdullahi in their final FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Algeria on the 10th of November 2017 in Constantine. Abdullahi who played the entire duration of the above mentioned game and even gave away the penalty, which Algeria converted to draw 1-1 isn’t eligible for the game after picking up two separate caution in two separate games of the same competition. He was supposed to be suspended for the game but Nigeria fielded him, and FIFA have now confirmed a fine on Nigeria following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee earlier today. Nigeria were fined CHF 6,000 with FIFA also awarding Algeria three points and three goals, which means the game which ended 1-1 is now recorded as 3-0 in favour of Algeria. However the victory awarded to Algeria, has no implication on the final standings of the group as Nigeria have already qualified for the World Cup, while Algeria were confirmed eliminated before the game. This is what you get when you are too sentimental about a player. Ebuehi suppose start and finish that match but the coach was busy playing pranks. Thank God we have already qualified else the second best could have just replaced us if the 3 point will make dem top the league. |

terzurum5: I am one of those who is impressed with what Alampasu has been doing in training during camping and the performance of Uzoho for both Club and 45minutes debut for the Super Eagles. However, I refuse to rule out Vincent Enyeama's return because we need the best for that position.
Now come to think of the options available to us which are; 1. Akpeyi 2. Ezenwa 3. ***Uzoho*** (The anointed) 4. Alampasu
are you seen what I am seen?
If we decide to go with Uzoho and something happens. Who steps in for him, baring any injury or red card?
Common we need Vincent Enyeama.
Unless Enyaema or Rohr tells me Enyeama is not coming back else I will keep on expecting him.
I have never taken any anti Enyeama return Journalists serious. Let the news come from the right source first. All these goalkeepers should be given the chance to prove themselves again. Na only 3 matches we need to test each for 45 minutes against top teams and then we can decide who is better. How can I believe a bench warmer in a local league is better than a regular in the same league without seeing both play? A case btw Ezenwa and Ajiboye? How can we tell who is better btw a bench warmer/first team squad player in an European club and a bench warmer in our local league? A case btw Alampasu and Ezenwa? How can we emphatically say a division 3 goalkeeper is better than a regular goalkeeper in Europe? A case btw Uzoho and Dele Aiyenugba/Nwofolor. How can i agree a goalkeeper with a team in first division is lesser than a goalkeeper in division 3? A case btw Alampasu and Uzoho. Enyeama no get comma. How can we say one is better than one without given fair share chance to one? With an open mind, I say give all these goalkeepers chance to prove themselves and choose the best. People should not use any more mischievous criteria to disqualify or qualify a goalkeeper. |

ChrisKels: A Pointer ; please what's Deportivo B's position in the Segunda B? Did u know that Uzoho, with his heroics between the sticks, is on the verge of promoting his team to the Segunda division where Ondoa is a bench warmer?
Dude didn't get demoted because he was poor, only the coach knows why he sent him back to the B team. He is definitely better than Pantillimon and will be taking Panti's place in the first team to contend properly for the first choice when Panti's loan expires by the end of the season.
Dude is also about the best goalie in the division he currently plies his trade. 7cleansheets in 10 appearances no be beans. Even Enyeama who just came back, conceded in a division lower than this Segunda B. Not comparing the two but if Enyeama failed to turn up, Uzoho gets my nod. Playing in division three can't be the yardstick to measure performance and get selected for a whole SE. I will prefer he sits on the bench of his team first team in the la liga. |
