PoliticsRe: Nigerian Refineries Roar Back To Life by FrankC3: 10:54am On May 04, 2013
Lawalkay: Rossikk or wetin be that your name self. Yr source said 5.3m of kerosene daily abi. Now my question. How many filling station get kerosene for your area ? Abi the product na for export. My bros don"t be deceive . All ma wash. Up naija 4 wash. I have always used this forum to advise GEJ and his owambe party members that the mases of over 159million out of our population of 160million will one day do more than the mases of tunisia, egypt, libyan put together. Where is sadam, ben hallim, mubarak and muamar ghadafi? The end shall tell. God bless the United State of Niger Delta. That is a message 4 another day. Up Naija.
Really? This is not Ojota bus-stop or beer parlor where data are pulled out from the air to support any loud opinion. Where is your source? The fact is that our refinery are getting back to their feet after years of lying comatose, so are our rail roads.

And for your celebration of the so called Egyptian, Tunisian and Lybian 'revolution', tell me, between the leaders that was deposed and the citizens, who are better off today? What has the 'revolution' brought them? Is Lybia better today than it was under Ghadaffi? And is Egypt better today? Don't talk out of exuberance. Think through your opinions.
PoliticsRe: World Leaders May Ban Jonathan From G8 Summit by FrankC3: 12:31pm On May 03, 2013
Why all these lies? Is Nigeria a member of G8? What bullcrap!! Apart from the 5 other states that UK and France have been pushing for their inclusion and have often been invited as 'guests' in previous meetings, no other country outside G8+5 is being invited to their 2013 summit. Is Nigeria a member of the O5? Well, the Outreach 5 members are Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa, so Nigeria's name is not even there. There is even not clear indication yet that any of the O5 guests are going to Lough Erne this year.

UK is presently the host country and their diplomatic focus on middle east is forcing them to push for the invitation of any of the key players- Israel and/or Turkey. How does Nigeria come into the picture? And for the clowns that claim to have held a meeting with Terrence of US, they should be discussing with UK who sets the agenda as the 2013 host country.

For the records, that you don't like GEJ should not not make one stupiid. Some people are even already celebrating. That some graduates cannot even google the membership and configuration of G8 is pathetic.

Nigeria is doing excellently well in the diplomatic circles. Have held her own and have done her things.

Finally, from what i know, the US foreign assistance strategy to Nigeria is "investing in people" and all forms of military assistance is in training and support, not the type heavy financial aid you have between US and Isreal or US and Egypt.
PoliticsRe: How Is Your State Governor Fighting Corruption? by FrankC3: 11:58am On May 03, 2013
The reason is simple: they are all beneficiaries of corruption and does not care about its eradication. To be fair though i do not have the facts but it seems that corruption was recently exposed in contract award in Imo State. But it is not enough.

FOI bill that gives civil societies teeth to fight corruption has not been domesticated in ANY State, including ACN, CPC, APGA and PDP States. Procurement process in ALL States are still handled in Governor's sitting room. Corruption is festering in ALL member states of the Federation, including massive corruption in State tertiary institutions, parents bribing invigilators to help their wards pass WASSCE,flowers planted with hundreds of millions, double invoicing of projects and nepotism heavily present in ALL states of the Federation. In Lagos for example, MTN cannot install mast even after acquiring lands from the rightful owners because of 'omo nile'. You cannot develop a property you acquired in PH and Lagos without paying heavily to area boys for 'daring to own a house'. Then if your car break down at some spots in Lagos at some ungodly hours, you may go home naked with your tires, car batteries and ALL easily extractable accessories gone. Pipelines are still broken while citizen watch. Steal my mobile phone and it is gone but try that with Aregbe's phone and get 45 years. I can go on.

Corruption stares us in the face daily. The civil society does not care. Some of them even blackmail politicians with accusation of corruption.

My greatest worry is how people are able to overlook ALL these going on around them to focus on GEJ's presidential pardon (while they themselves pardon corruption daily), as if they have done ALL to clean up their angle. What moral justification does a civil society in Lagos or Enugu or Kano to talk about contract inflation in Abuja when the mentioned states have not domesticated FOI bill? How can a national Assembly that fix her own salary accuse Presidency of abuse of powers?

This is the problem. They are not really after corruption. They are after GEJ. If they are really after corruption, they will start from the one that happen around them.
PoliticsRe: Rivers PDP Suspends 27 Pro-Amaechi Lawmakers, Gives Amaechi 48 Hrs Ultimatum by FrankC3: 9:23pm On Apr 29, 2013
Omo_Tier1: FYI, as someone who hails from an opposition controlled state, Amaechi's school models have always been used as a reference to our governor and no doubt, what Amaechi has put on ground in terms of school is a model every state should emulate IF THEY HAVE THE MONEY. Health wise, it is a fact that He has built some of the hospitals so many states wish they have.

Amaechi's strides in leadership despite His party affiliation has always endeared Him to many who have been opportuned to under study Him for some time. Yes, liek every politicians He has His short comings, but He has put on ground what will continue to sustain rivers state for some years to come. Just like the architect of modern cross river state did in His time.
not disputing any of Amaechi's achievements, how do you know these things? I thought you are in the UK? How do you know that the schools are being studied as models and please, tell us who is studying them.
Please, help me understand your interest in a PDP governor that takes a position against a PDP president and is about to get disciplined. You have been all over this thread typing epistles, please, bebold an declare what your interests are. You guys want to 'outsource' opposition to a PDP governor too?
PoliticsRe: Rivers PDP Suspends 27 Pro-Amaechi Lawmakers, Gives Amaechi 48 Hrs Ultimatum by FrankC3: 9:01pm On Apr 29, 2013
Can anyone just notice how 'Gov Amaechi of the killer party and useless PDP' has been credited of building the 'best primary, post primary and medical institutions in Nigeria through his focused and visionary leadership'. Can anyone also notice @Rhino and Omo_Tier just become Rivers indigenes and how Amaechi of PDP just become the best thing since sliced bread? I think i also noticed a tone that suggest that known ACN e-warriors wants GEJ to leave Amaechi alone so that he can continue his good works in Rivers State. These clowns really care soooo much about PDP that they want Amaechi to succeed, Amaechi of 'the killer party'. And anyone notice a similar tone as when Sylva story was developing? Anyway, Henry Orkar also became a hero when he stood against GEJ. Abati, NOI and Ribadu became demons when they took up appointment to serve under GEJ and Ribadu became a hero again when he disagreed with GEJ. I can assure you, Buhari can also become a devil if he dare support any of GEJ's policies...
These are the clowns presenting themselves as opposition. Henry Orkar and Sylva were hailed by these same clowns and today, they are caged and the cheering has moved on to Amaechi. When the cloud clears, they will still give him the Sylva treatment.

@topic
it is only a foool that picks a fight with a sitting President. I thought Amaechi knew better. If 5% of federal might is deployed by Gulak against Amaechi, he is gone. Watch this space, if he continues his stuuupidity, he will be sacked from the PDP and run a lone cat in the jungles of SS surrounded by red eyed wolves both in the creeks and the plains who will want him totally finished for some of their own personal interest. You don't challenge a strong man to a fight in his backyard. Amaechi is challenging the President and he is not even pretending about it. How on earth is he regarded as a politician?
PoliticsRe: NCAA Bans Amaechi’s Aeroplane For Non-Clearance by FrankC3: 6:21am On Apr 28, 2013
If our errors are all counted, nobody will stand. Forget the hypocrisy. If Amaechi is to be singled out and the laws fully applied on him, i can assure you that he will be so frustrated.
Consider the prevailing situation. If the laws are to be obeyed, that aircraft should not have left Akure that night unless NCAA does not know what it knows now.
Amaechi should relax, come back home, make concessions and get reintegrated. He cannot win this fight. You cannot fight a sitting President in his own backyard, even if you must, you should not be caught. Forget that GEJ is the mild type, were the positions be swapped, Amaechi would have ran GEJ out of Nigeria by now. Now, we are just talking about his transportation logistics. What happens when other agencies of the state joins the game, which they will happily do cos everyone will like to be noticed by the President.
Even a sick Yar'Adua rand El-rufai and Ribadu out of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Baga Massacre Will Cost PDP The Presidential Election In 2015 by FrankC3: 4:07pm On Apr 24, 2013
Orikinla: The unfortunate massacre of 185 people, including scores of innocent women and children in Baga, a border community in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State last Thursday April 18, 2013, will jeopardize the dominance of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the northern states of Nigeria and the PDP may lose the presidential election in 2015.

-U.S. condemns Borno massacre

-Senate: it’s unacceptable

-ACN, CPC warn against killings

-North’s elders call for inquiry

According to The Nation newspaper of Nigeria, the Red Cross reported that 187 must have been killed, 77 others were injured and more than 300 homes were destroyed. Some reports said over 200 people were killed and over 2000 homes were razed with many of the occupants burnt in the inferno of the gun battle between the Boko Haram militants and the Joint Task Force of Nigerian military forces supported by forces from neighboring Chad and Niger republics. Reuters described the operation as "possibly one of the deadliest since Boko Haram launched its insurgency in 2009".
You are really sick. So the only thing you can make out of the purported death of 187 people, about 2000 burnt houses and many dead animals is GEJ and 2015 Presidential elections? Not even "RIP" to the dead. To you, everything is politics.
PoliticsRe: EDO ACN Lawmaker Caught With Gun (PIC) by FrankC3: 10:30am On Apr 23, 2013
Prof Corruption: Being caught with a gun is not even the offence here. The question we should answer is, is there a licence for that gun? Such an answer can not be inferred from this shallow report.

Politicians, for justified security reasons, do normally possess guns.
Don't mind them. This is why they are not progressives. They forgot that you can actually overtake another car in a sharp bend depending on the curvature, car balance and gravitational pull operational in such bends... Isn't it lovely to be a progressive?
PoliticsRe: Next Generation Must Take Nigeria To Moon - Jonathan by FrankC3: 7:34am On Apr 23, 2013
vanstanzy: Better start equiping that next generation now, with the right tools to enable them carryout this feat. Talk is indeed very Cheap!
Talk is indeed cheap...We watched how the country decorated our Engineers, most of them younger than you and probably busier than you and I to post actively on the internet, with honors for successful launch of the last Nigerian Satellite. Those young boys and girls understood that talk is indeed cheap, that was why they ACTED and placed a satellite adorned with our national colors in the orbit. Unfortunately, your kind of mindset has so polluted this country that the young people find government to blame for their generational failures, be it failure at the olympics to research to science and technology.

Today, the government is doing a lot of work in incubating the right kind of knowledge. From the very many available FG sponsored scholarship for our 1st class products to the ones being done by State government, and most recently by Ondo State government. Probably, you and I did not make a 1st class and even when we did, we chose the oil majors, but some that really decided to ACT have been on government payroll for the past years, studying in the best schools in the world and preparing for the launch of the dream the President is sharing. Those guys have got no time for NL and Facebook and you can't find them here to share their idea but we know that they are there doing their things and sustaining our satellites and nuclear reactors.

Now, why not relax and see what they make out of the situation, since you are and are not even qualified or unwilling to chose further rigors of research and class room work to the posh and lovely life that Shell and Chevron brings. You know what, they are the heroes, WE are the cowards!!! They ACTED on a dream, YOU suppressed the dream and even poison it.

I believe you also watch how Americans respond when their President share his dream of next generation energy source that is cleaner and more environmentally friendly. How come Nigerians want their President to respond to issues like the American President but are themselves not willing to behave like Americans?

All I see is people projecting their individual failures all around them and all over the internet to mean the failure of anyone else but them. Pathetic!!

Is this picture of Benue State any worse than the pictures of slums in most parts of this country, including Lagos, PHC, Kano and Ebonyi? The problem is the mindset that get a man to reduce the good and wonderful state like Benue to this picture. What of the massive farmlands, mango plantations, fruit processing plants, bridges and roads in that state?
I advice Nigerians to travel round and see how diverse and beautiful this country is (probably not as beautiful as Manhattan) but it will definitely cure one of a sickness that gets him to accept this picture as a summary of Benue State!

Why are you shouting and running around just because of a proposed meeting between your traditional rulers and a sitting President? Can you guys get funnier?
I think you are doing your part of the country more harm than good. You are narrowing opinion horizon to your personal feelings and thought and extending it to be what every other person in that part of the country thinks. Only a foool in the present day Nigeria turns down such meeting. Nigeria runs a sharing system from the center and you are discouraging your people from being around where the wealth distribution decisions are taken? You can't get funnier!!

With this attitude, what becomes of you WHEN (not if) GEJ wins 2015 elections?

When a 50KG of Rice just jumped from N8500 to N12,000 and a Kongo of Garri now N200 all the way from N120.
Keep deceiving people
You are wrong, as usual. There is nothing like 'the price of 50kg is x or y'. It depends on quality and type. And for your garri price, white garri has never been the same price as yellow garri which is not also same as the price of Ijebu garri.

You are just caught up in negativity, trying very hard to downplay any and every positive news coming out of Nigeria while emphasizing the negative ones. I know GEJ's success threatens people like you and your political association, but hey, it benefits Nigerians which is what really matters.

It is a big deal that we are on a single digit inflation rate. It is a big deal that we are still improving. It is also a big deal that we have positive economic indices everywhere against the cry by Lie Mohammed that the economy is on the verge of collapse.

The investing community is watching. The global watchers are on the lookout. Things are looking good on the economic side of things. These indices that we are seeing can only come from an environment of fiscal discipline, mature budgeting system and successful FG policies. They can never come from a 'corrupt, clueless and incompetent' leadership as ACN people want us to believe GEJ's team to be.

The figures are coming out and they are running around the place telling us the price of 'rice' as if the price of 'Abakaliki rice' or 'elephant rice' has always been same as the price of 'mama gold'
PoliticsRe: Tale Of Two Countries: Obama Speaks, Jonathan Sinks by FrankC3: 11:32am On Apr 16, 2013
Gbawe: Dishonest sycophant, your spin is not working any longer. It is obvious to sensible Nigerians GEJ is a callous mediocrity and empty-barrel only focused on his own ambition and pocket. It is disgraceful how non-Nigerians now routinely and openly call GEJ's competence into question today while sycophant like you are here attempting shameful and ultimately futile 'damage limitation'. Ask him to arrest and prosecute Buhari or get lost.
We can see how your clueful and intelligent APC/ACN led by a very honest and hardworking Tinubu will address the problem. He is already advocating amnesty to BH. Oh!, i almost forgot...one of your party leaders once said that BH will vanish in i think 3 months 'if' your party wins the presidency.

Those are strong and wonderful position of your party and leaders, comparable to that of the Obamas and McCains of this world. You and your party are indeed wonderful people, who love Nigerians and extremely clean that they visited Borno to mediate in the problem the last time.
You, Gbawe is a labelled hypocrite who dwells on misinformation and lies. You also are the resident bigot who does not even care if Nigeria is on fire as long as it helps your party to power. You, Gbawe, should be ashamed of yourself for exploiting people's woes for narrow gains.
PoliticsRe: Tale Of Two Countries: Obama Speaks, Jonathan Sinks by FrankC3: 10:12am On Apr 16, 2013
Gbawe: Why can't you guys, for once, give the nauseating spin a break. Many now know and recognise your modus operandi that is always limited to a cheap attempt at exploiting technicalities and grey areas to obfuscate very simple issues so that the mediocrity you support is spared the scrutiny he deserves and would rightly get in serious nations with politically sophisticated folks who simply want peace and progress for their Country.

Everybody knows precisely what the OP is talking about even if you two want to embarrass yourselves as usual. Obama has taken action and we will see results. Very different to your clueless oga who limits his own 'action' to pathetically and weakly accusing Buhari of being a "major sponsor of Boko Haram" yet the former head of State is walking around freely.

You guys truly have no shame. Better to say nothing than show up here. GEJ has disgraced Nigeria. Show us a nation where a President , like a market gossip and impotent hack, is busy throwing accusations back and forward without the gumption to act on the careless and immature accusation emanating from his office. It would be better for the Presidency to say nothing rather than show the world it is lead by a weak and highly unprincipled man with no commitment to doing the right thing.

There is Never actions from GEJ , against the head of the Snake i.e the sponsors of terror, yet always talk, rhetoric, empty accusation, impotence and platitude. A woeful leader supported by aberrantly garbage supporters. You two should go and ask GEJ to take out Buhari and stop at least one "major sponsor of Boko Haram" as he claims. Stop patronising folks here with your rotten product nobody wants to buy. This is a very clear-cut issue. You two simply have no shame at all. After what the President stated below, what should be the next step if the mediocrity you worship is even a shadow of a real leader? Even for sycophancy, there should be a level decent people retreat from.

The greatest mistake the present day SWners are making is reinforcing the impression that Tinubu is the leader of SW or the ACN is more like an ethnic group. It engenders the kind of feeling of isolation they are feeling now and it is not good for the national polity. The question i will ask the few reasoning Swners is this: what happens if PDP hold on to power for the next 30 years? Does it mean that they will continue following Tinubu, even if his party collapses? I want realistic answers, not some emotional outburst.

On the topic, while Tinubu is free to make comments about developments in the polity, i think he should be a little more matured about it. Day-to-day affairs of PDP should not be Tinubu's concern, rather how PDP's policies affect Nigeria. Infact, it is very foooolish of him to suggest that PDP gov forum is anything bad because it goes against a very basic principle in a democracy and an opposition leader whose party want to be seen as an alternative should not be caught stifling the spirit of democracy.

For his NL paid agents, i know you guys have a job to do and that you are always first to label other party's followers as being paid. What will happen if PDP presents a good candidate and that candidate wins Lagos State election in 2015?

This will definitely be a bad news to some people that always want to hear bad statistics about Nigeria

u wont even see them here
Funny enough, none of them will accept that they are poor. They will agree with International Agencies that about 70 percent of our people live below one dollar per day without asking for research methodology and will agree totally with NBC with praises for great work being done by Mr Kale's team if he had said that Fashola is the most visionary governor on earth or that Press freedom was highest in Nigeria in 1984.

Now, should we use World Bank and CNN bait to judge our poverty level, how many of the people in Okitupupa or Izza or Kaura Namoda feed with less than N160 per day (persons, not even families)? How many of these people screaming here have a relation or friend or parent who they can confirm with certainty that the total amount of money they spent per day (directly and indirectly) is less than N160? If we have few of such, then it only means that poverty has reduced because CNN and World Bank told us that we are poor if we spend less than $1 per day. Attack @Billionaire as much as you like but going by CNN and World Bank standards, i can't recall the number of 'poor' people i've seen around me this year.

If any of you have a different definition of poverty that what IMF and WB and CNN tell us that it is, please, post it here lets learn from you.

First of all, you are no Leadership reporter, even if you are, you are in no position to authenticate the veracity of a document with your editorial crew. It is quite surprising that a whole editorial board of a leading print media can fall for such.

Again, the language of the paper sounds more like what you typed up there. If this your writing style is what is tolerated by Leadership, then i give up.

eGuerrilla: Frank-C, since when did our Nation of 1001 porous borders become the equivalent of highly secure NK or Iran? grin
I don't think your question make sense. You remember how 'secure' Nigeria was under Abacha? Some military guys joke that even butterflies get shot down for flying across Aso Drive in Abuja those days. Who publishes this kind of stuff then? Do you know the ills of those societies too? I pointed out NK and Iran because of how folks who know nothing about what happen within those borders talk about them. Now, sincerely tell me (without derailing ofcourse), do you think that anybody can publish this nonsense in Ghadafi's Lybia, in 'post revolution' or even 'pre-revolution' Egypt, in your UK, in Isreal, or even Ghana here. Tell me exactly which country have this kind of press that we have. Can you guess what your Buhari will do if he were to be in Aso Rock and Leadership publishes this crap?

I am sure that if you are Nigerian President nobody can publish this especially when it is false. Well, i will so deal with Leadership for publishing 'classified internal memo' even if what they published is true.
