Soso98:Hello Soso98, With the high level of scrutiny for Nigerian applicants applying for a Canadian study permit, I would advice that you go for a bachelor's degree rather than a preparatory classes in biology that will determine your acceptance to study practical nursing (diploma) in a college. If it's your passion to further your study in the field of nursing, it's very easy for you to switch from the university to the school of your choice while in Canada. The core importance of going through this approach, is to increase your chances of securing a TRV as the visa officer will doubt your genuineness to study a preparatory classes considering your study gaps as well as you being able to continue your studies at the college in Canada. The visa officer will tag you as not a bona-fide student that is using study permit as a means to facilitate relocation into Canada rather than educational advancement. Deride not what I say because of it's simplicity. Truth is always simple. It's your decision to make. I wish you the best of luck! |
oniwoski:Hello oniwoski, In order not to derail the thread with discussion outside the purpose this platform was originated. You might want to CHECK THIS out. Thanks! |
Arobake:1-) The funds available in the sponsor's account (step father) should be sufficient enough to cover for the applicant's first year tuition and living expenses and have some left for the sponsor's immediate family and personal welfare. 2-) I don't quite understand your second question, do you mean to say if company/cooperate account is ever acceptable for Canadian study visa or is it compulsory that it should be a personal account? If so, company account is also acceptable as proof of financial support although by so doing the sponsor must provide a bank reference letter stating clearly that he is the sole signatory to account or a board resolution letter attesting that the board of directors/share holders in the company are fully aware of this sponsorship and hence won't tend to pose any hindrance to the applicant's financial support during their stay in Canada. 3-) Preferably an international passport bio data page will be better in view of fact that the sponsor is a foreigner which will show that he is legally residing abroad and also would serve as proof of relationship b/w the applicant and sponsor. Therefore, I would suggest you include it. 4-) Marriage certificates is a strong proof of relationship make an effort to include them. Remember to also make reference to all of these in the applicant's personal letter. Best of luck! |
Omonoba1981:Your question has already been answered on this window. Please kindly CHECK THIS . Thanks! |
Soso98:Please what's your level of education? Why going for a College prep at this point in your life instead of a degree or advanced diploma? Do you have any degree certification before now? I hope to hear from you soon as your response determines the advice I will give to you! Thanks |
sleekysoft:My sure Brother @sleekysoft, I am only doing that which I am good in for the benefit of others. I hope you're preparing real good for your trip? I wish you the very best bro. Success ride to Canada! |
Amahjosh:LOL . I am humble at thy service Sir!Whatever knowledge I possess I will gladly give for the betterment of others and to the glory of this reputable thread. Thank you very much for the elite wishes. I am glad you find the information useful. Always feel free to reach out here should you require further guidance. I saw your PM, will respond soon! Best of luck! |
Samolala2019:This must be an online application right? The list of sections proof of financial support, international passport, passport photograph, acceptance letter etc... provided on your MyCIC account are your document checklist, you're expected to upload each documents in their various sections. For this reason, you don't need to fill a separate checklist. I don't quite understand your second question, do you mean to say you're unable to fill in your details after downloading the required IRCC forms? If yes, try installing an updated Acrobat Reader DC on your desktop, I am sure it will go through this time. Best of luck |
Maestro001:Hello Maestro001, Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I say a big AMEN to them all. Yes, you're certainly free to PM me, and I will respond at my convenient time. |
Uzee24:Hello Uzee24, I will respond at my own pace. Thanks for your patience. |
nonipeter:Kindly contact the school admission office to know why your application is showing processed when you've not completed payment. Do that as soon as possible. |
alexflint20:No it doesn't have any negative influence to your visa application. You're certainly eligible to use them (foreign bank statements). |
mykolalekan:Online applicants are not required to sign their forms. Upon successful uploading of documents in their various sections, you will be prompted to fill in your name as a signature. |
Emmaokudu:Sure! It's an adequate proof of funds. In such event, you should also put into consideration the applicant tuition and living expenses, will the presented bank statement be sufficient enough to cater for the applicants first year of study in Canada without any recourse to public funds? On the account that it's sufficient. I would suggest you include a bank reference letter stating that the father is the sole-signatory to the company's account. Best of luck! |
Amahjosh:Hi Amahjosh, In respect to your questions, please find the following answers below: 1-) You have to draw a family tree that will encapsulate how your father and his cousin (uncle) is related. First, you have to start by demonstrating the relationship between your grandfather and your (sponsor's) grandfather with the rest of the family members down to your generation. See attached at the last page of this post a copy of a family tree you can use it as guide when constructing yours. While doing this, try as much as you can to establish a strong proof of relationship between you and your sponsor, by including your father's age declaration, int'l passport bio data page and sponsor int'l passport bio data page. 2-) Having your sponsor to pay for your tuition fees from his account isn't a red flag to your visa application rather it gives a practical exhibition that funds will be accessible and available to you the principal applicant. It further goes a long way to show your sponsor (uncle) financial commitment, genuineness and eagerness to finance your study in Canada. 3-) These are the list of DOCUMENTS you need from your sponsor (uncle). 4-) BREAK DOWN BETWEEN ONLINE ROUTE AND PAPER ROUTE i)The online route no one will correct your mistakes like it is done on paper route whereby VFS workers will make sure your papers are complete and arranged accordingly before submission. ii) If you have close access to a scanner and a desktop/system, online route would be your best choice. Bear in mind that you will need to compress and merge the documents to 4MB before you can be able to upload them on your MyCIC account and also have your Naira debit card handy in order to complete payment. On the other hand, the paper route you are to pay at the counter in the VFS office. III) The online route, upon successful submission of your application, you will receive a notification a day or 2 days as the case maybe at times might stay up to a week in order to proceed for your biometrics. Whilst, the paper route, you will complete all registrations including biometrics that very day at the VFS office, Afterwards you wait for the outcome of your application. IV) Finally, Online route cost (65-66k) for first timers. Whereas, paper route goes for (68-69k) for first time applicant. So it's left for you to decide which best suit you. Be properly guided that none of the above routes (paper and online) have any added advantage to your TRV application. 5-) You will have enormous explanation to give should you opt for a second degree instead of a PGD reasons being that you will have to cover up for your study gaps. What were you up to/doing since you last left highschool until now?. I believe your sole purpose of coming here is to seek for advice. Hence, I will advice you from the wisdom of my experiences which I enjoyed for over the years that you should go ahead and apply for your visa with the PGD acceptance letter from George Brown College(GBC) and explain in your SOP how the program will be beneficial to your career and how it will be translated to your home country for the benefit of others. I drop my pen! Best of luck!

BeatriceAdeleke:Hello, This college (Cape Breton) is not common and I am not conversant with it. I would suggest you apply to a well-known institution/college in Canada so as to increase your chances of visa approval. Best of luck |
Pinky16:Congratulations on your acceptance and funding. First, you have to start by gathering the list of these DOCUMENTS FOR A FAMILY APPLICATION. Secondly, should you have any further question along the line, don't hesitate to reach out to us here. Best of Luck |
BeatriceAdeleke:This question has been answered on this thread CHECK THIS |
nalizzzy:That's the more reason your sponsor (mom) must provide sufficient proof of support. A bank of statement of 8.5M - 10M will do. |
Stencil:WES requested that WAEC scratch cards and confirmation of result must be sent separately via post mail or courier. The reference number that will be placed on the cards will be used by WES to track the applicant evaluation application and upload them appropriately in our various profiles. I have seen people on this window that did it and was successful. |
Greetings to you all. It's good to be here with you guys. I am in the process of sending my WAEC scratch card for WES evaluation. I want to confirm if there is anyone here that is interested, so we can possibly cut cost for ourselves and send it in a sealed envelope via courier with our reference number affix on the cards. I anticipate your response. Thank you all. |
kylexy61:Thank you @kylexy61. I wish you well. |
nonipeter:Your aren't disturbing okay. Always feel free to ask questions here anytime and I will be happy to assist you. Please can you share a screenshot of what you're saying so that I can be able to advice you accordingly. In the absence of the screenshot, have you attempted to complete payment with your debit card before now? |
kylexy61:I remain humble and faithful boss. I am delighted to see you here once again. Everything is going on well, I am anticipating a positive response concerning my application for a permanent residency. I hope things will fall in my favour. Thanks for reciprocating. Do enjoy the rest of your week. |
@kylexy61,(the Ghanaian man) How are you doing? It's been a while. Welcome back |
nalizzzy:Let's perform a little arithmetic here. Annual expenses = 19,034CAD$ which equivalent to 5,182,270CAD$ Mom's bank statement = N5,000,000+N2,000,000 = N7,000,000 Funds available in mom's account - Annual Expenses N7,000,000 - N5,182,270 = N1,817, 730 In light of the above, mom will be left with N1,817, 730 after paying your first year tuition and living expenses. Now let's think like a visa officer, will the remaining funds be sufficient for your younger siblings and mom's personal welfare during your first year of study in Canada? As a consequence, you stand a better chance with two eyes closed if Mom can increase the funds to 4-5M. Conversions were done with OANDA.COM |
oke22:Worry less, this ONLINE COMPRESSOR will be an end to your problem without altering the appearance of your documents. |
Schonebaby:Yes you can. Should the immigration officer at POE ask you why you're arriving so early, you can possibly say you want to acclimatize with the new environment prior to school resumption. You will have no qualms with that. |
nonipeter:No you do not need to present a statement of purpose for an undergraduate degree application. You only do so when applying for your study permit. |
tuisek:Welcome to the thread @tuisek Your question has already been answered on this window. Please kindly CHECK THIS |
Christty:Unfortunately, I don't think there are any colleges in Canada that doesn't require an application fee. You're ought to pay for an application fee before your application for admission will be accepted and accessed by the admission department of the school. |
nalizzzy:The funds in your mom's account is insufficient. I'll advice you tell your mom to deposit more funds into her account or source for additional assistance from someone i.e by getting a co-sponsor to improve your application financial sufficiency. |
