All,
If you are requested to do medicals, does it mean you'll get the student visa after passing the medicals?
Secondly, how long after doing the medicals will it reflect on your online profile?
It's not a guarantee that you will get visa after being instructed to undertake a medical exam. It takes 2-3 working days for the medical result to reflect on your MyCIC account.

When has having a sponsor in Canada become a requirement for Canadian Study Visa application? I will whisper this to you BEWARE OF SCAMMERS. I understand how traumatized you could be at the moment because your study visa was rejected. However, I will advice you to get your GCMS note, seek counsel from any of the knowledgeable gurus here, rewrite your SOP/LOE and refire.

Please Let him go ahead and apply. One fact about Canada visa is that what worked for Paul may not work for Peter as far as its not a standard policy on their website and applications are access by different VOs. If you have all the document to back up and proof that the scholarship exited before you got it ,then apply. Most times it depends on who your application meet. Ur Vo may not even know that someone applied with such scholarship and was denied a visa sef...
I am here to give my opinion and suggestions which I feel might be helpful and beneficial to the inquirer. As a result, the onus is dependent on the applicant to reach a conclusion on the route that best suit him. One thing I know about these Kenya visa officers is that such kind of study visa sponsorship doesn't work or move them. The applicant can apply you've suggested, I hope he will return here to share his experience.

Why people still use agent to process application is confusing to me. What most of these agents do is simply submit an application for you based on experiences of other candidates. These experiences can be gotten on this forum for free. So why use agents? Most of these agents come to this forum to learn and what they learn here is what they sell to you.

Most of these agents you all go to pay money all started on this forum (they were groomed here). They combined peoples experiences and information they got on here to start their business. Please stay woke. Is it not funny you will end up paying above 200k for an application and your visa is still not guaranteed? So why pay so much for what you can get for free here?

Please and please, If you have work experience, just go via PR route (it makes life so easy for you). There are so many hurdles to cross when applying for Study permit. You need to convince the Visa officer you will come back on the completion of your program, you need to show travel history (in some cases), Pay huge fees for study and then show money for maintenance.

The major challenge with PR is doing well in IELTS and it is not that hard. You don't have to prove home ties because they know you are going permanently, you don't have to pay huge fees for education (once you get PR, you will go to school for a small fee), the visa process is almost same time with study permit, You will school and work without restrictions and in most cases, you don't even need to show so much money in your SOA unlike TRV above.

It is well.
Very true! PR is the best!
The rate of approvals for PR applications has drastically increased more than study permit and chances of securing a PR is very high once you submit every relevant documents as stipulated on the document checklist. I hope people will start spreading their options soon!

I NEED HELP ON TRV APPLICATION

I have my letter of offer, admission letter and Full funding Award ($23,400 per year for minimum of two years) for a Research Masters Program at University of Sask. I have no travel history and no sponsor on sight. I thought TRV is something i could do on my own just like i found supervisor and got admitted on my own (All Glory to God). However, navigating the www.cic.gc.ca site with the failed effort of downloading necessary IMM forms, and other confusing procedures, it doesn't seem like something one can attempt on his own. Also, I have studied the thread word for word, still confused about the practical procedures.

Please i need help on complete and successful TRV application as I am self-hustling die-hard scholar and researcher not rich enough to afford agent fees because i am currently a serving Corps member. My program begins September, 2019 (Fall term) and i don't have a clue up till now. Please help me out as this is my life, a golden opportunity i may not forgive my self for if i miss. This is a dream i have nursed for years.

PLEASE HELP ME ACHIEVE THIS LAST ONE
Hello AgroNACT,

Congratulations on your crowning achievement (admission with funding). Please be properly guided that all the necessary lay down procedures and relevant informations with respect to how you can package a good application is available free of charge on this window. As a consequence, You don't need the assistance of any third party (agent) before you can secure a TRV for yourself. More importantly, I would further suggest that you get a sponsor regardless of the funding which you've already obtained from your proposed university in Canada. The sponsor should be responsible for your flight itinerary and other miscellaneous expenses that might arise during the course of your studies in Canada. A sponsor's bank of statement of 5M and above would be adequate enough for your study permit application. Feel free to always reach out here should you require further guidance on what path to take.

I wish you the best of luck with your application.

Call the number therein and request that you want to book for an upfront medical, the process is straight forward and doesn't take up to 2mins. The customer care service will request for the proposed country you're heading to, your passport number, full name and date of birth. Ignore the lady, you aren't expected to pay a charge fee to any individual before you can book for a medical exam.

Hello how do I explain a lump sum in my sponsors account when he doesn't owe a company or a retiree?
My post 9:25pm On Mar 23, 2018

HOW TO ADDRESS LUMP SUM DEPOSIT INTO ACCOUNT FROM AN UNKNOWN SOURCE

Lump sum deposits are funds that are never in existence in an account statement, and are perceived by the Visa officer as borrowed money into an applicant/sponsor account just to acquire their TRV.

Firstly, in your next application try as much as possible to draft a separate letter of explanation, indicating the source of the lump sum and stating how you have addressed it e.g was the funds gotten from business investments/sells, sold landed property/buildings, rented apartments___Provide little explanation to this and transcation reciepts to support your claims about the origin of the money.

Secondly, Pay up your first year tuition fee out of the account the lump sump was noticed to show that funds is actually meant for your study and let sponsor transfer living expenses into your personal naira/dorm account.

Thirdly, Provide an updated letter of sponsorship stating the origin of the lump sum deposit and what the sponsor has done afterwards as fresh evidence and financial commitment after the first delay (i.e paying up the balance of your tuition and transferring funds to your personal naira/dorm account). In addition let your sponsor get a reference letter to back this up.

Lastly, endeavor to construct a financial table chart on your LOE/SOP showing clearly your tuition fees, Room and board, others and estimate on how the total funds available to you will be spent.

The above is how to tackle lump sum deposit.

All the best!

LETTER OF EXPLANATION ON HOW TO ADDRESS LUMP SUM DEPOSIT.

This is with regards to the source of funds which was deposited into my account on (DATE). Please be informed that I hold savings account in the NIGERIAN Bank:

Bank Name (Branch) (Account Number)
(XYZ Bank bank address) (ACCOUNT NUMBER)

I received (AMOUNT) as a result of the sold landed property of mine which is located at Lekki Ajah, Lagos, Nigeria. The land deed is reflecting in transaction dated 00/10/2016 via Cheque No. 00000 OR ON-LINE TRANSFER dated 000/10/2016 in my XYZ Bank account statement enclosed with this letter. I have also enclosed a Land Deed letter, an affidavit and a scanned copy of Cheque No. 00000 (drawn on ABC Bank, Account No. 0000000) signed between me and the purchaser.

Thanks and Regards,

That's gonna be a problem cause there are people that have been working in the company over 3 years. You haven't worked in the company for 1 year
So you will have to be careful In your SOP or from your letter of sponsorship (from the company).
In fact don't say anything like ”one staff for every 2 years interval” in your SOP or Sponsorship letter because it can be use against you.

Obtaining a company sponsorship can be highly mutually beneficial for both You and the company involved in the arrangement, as it can give financial support throughout the period of study for you, while at the same time ensuring that meaningful, relevant research is being carried out for the company with the added benefit that, in most cases, an excellent employee will be ready to work for them upon completion of study.

That’s why I would advise you to sign an agreement with the company that commits you to work for them for a minimum period of time after completing your degree. Before getting on board with the sponsorship you want to be crystal clear that you are happy with the terms being set in terms of how long after completion you have to stay exclusively with the firm that is to be your sponsor.

Let the company transfer your tuition fee or living expenses and they should provide the company's account. You should also provide your account as the co-sponsor.

Good luck to you
I know of over five (5) different applicants that did all of the bolded and even went beyond what you've listed, but were still rejected of their Visas. Generally, company sponsorship doesn't work for Kenya (Nairobi) visa officers. The applicant sporting chance of securing a TRV for himself is to use a relative (father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, and step-father)

I wish the applicant best of luck

Biggest problem was that I applied from Abu Dhabi which has extremely high rejection rate for foreigners(especially Nigerians).

Note: I have travelled to turkey, Singapore and Cyprus before so I don't understand what they mean by travel history.
Profile: have a bachelor degree in hospitality management and got admitted to NBCC for 2years diploma in hotel and restaurant management, also paid the 500cad confirmation fees.

Is it okay to come back to Nigeria to come apply? According to my fimdings, they couldn't conduct thorough background check on me because am not applying from Nigeria.

Please gurus, what's your suggestions?

@nuelzs this is my fourth rejection and am so devastated.
Dude I understand your present predicament. Be strong okay!.
I have few questions to ask you, What's your Immigration status at Abu Dhabi? Why applying from there instead of Nigeria your home country? Before issuing a visitor visa, work permit or study permit, the immigration officer must be satisfied that you are likely to leave Canada when your permission to stay expires. If you have strong ties to your home country, the immigration officer will generally be satisfied that you are likely to return to your country after visiting, studying or working in Canada. Significant ties can include close family members who live in your home country, current employment as well as good prospects for future employment in your country, ownership of an active business, and ownership or property or other assets in your home country, among other factors. If you are not a citizen of the country where you live, your immigration status in your country of residence also has an impact on this assessment. If you can show that you will be able to return to your country of residence after visiting Canada, the visa office will likely focus primarily on your ties to your visiting country of residence (Abu Dhabi). Hence, If your immigration status in your country of residence (Abu Dhabi) isn't work permit, study visa, or resident permit, you're ought to return to your home country, Nigeria where you have sufficient ties because this will be considered to weaken your assessment in the sight of the visa officer. That means if you don't have a legal status in Abu Dhabi to apply for a Canadian student visa from there. You will always be denied if you keep trying to apply from the country. It's going to be inconvenient and expensive for you, but the best thing to do is go back to Nigeria and and apply for the student visa from there.

Best of luck

Additionally, make an effort to order your GCMS note to have a clearer picture on what went wrong with your previous application.

It shall end in praises in your next application.

Use your current transcripts for master's and apply for your study permit. Make an effort to state in your SOP that your master's degree certificate will be ready by June/July hence you didn't attach it with your application but have included a copy of your transcripts. You should be fine with that.

So what’s going to be the relationship if I’m using my boss as my uncle cos we are not even from the same place
You musn't come from the same state of origin with him(uncle). Your boss can be your maternal uncle, while you state in your SOP as well as his letter of sponsorship that he is a younger/elder brother to your mother and also the reason why he is sponsoring you to undertake a foreign education. Documents to show proof of relationship between you and your uncle are namely: Your uncle Int'l Passport Bio data page, Your mom's NPC attestation of birth (showing your uncle and mom once shared the same family name before your mom officially got married to your dad), a family tree diagram demonstrating how your mom and uncle are related from their immediate parent down to your generation (the children).

And also, does he have to pay any money into my account to show commitment.
Please I need help guys!
You're better off using your employer as your close relative (uncle) this makes more sense to me. The visa officer will surely throw diversity of questions at your application should you eventually use your employer as your sponsor for your study permit application. Questions of this kind will suffice on your application e.g;

1-) For how long have you worked for this employer that he wants to spend his hard earned money for an employee?
2-) What responsibilities do you hold in the company that deemed you fit for a scholarship/sponsorship from an employer.?
3-) What does the employer stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship?
4-) Will you be able to have continued access to funds from your employer's account during subsequent years of study in Canada? Etc..

Your sponsor should include both his business and personal bank statement as well as his CAC certificate to evidence that his business is legally registered in Nigeria and earning legitimate source of income. Certainly, he needs to pay at least your tuition or living expenses to show in your account or to your proposed institution in Canada to demostrate his eagerness and commitment in financing your study in Canada.

Hello From Sydney, Australia

I was in this race in 2017, I got denied by Canada only due to insufficient fund.

I changed focus to Australia. Now I’m happy getting here.

If Canada isn’t working, trust me is not the only destination in the world. Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands are great places and are all giving Student Visas
Congrats Vikmeek, I can remember vividly some time last year when you came here seeking for counsel because your study visa was denied DUE TO INSUFFICIENT FUNDS. It's good to know you exploited other alternatives and presently in a country as good as Canada. You're actually correct, everyone mustn't be in Canada. Sometimes we should be actually be grateful for some things don't work out the way we once wanted them to. When we get rejected, or we fail or things don't go our way. We feel we are farther away from our goal. However, sometimes its those moments that we have the greatest opportunity to reflect, refuel and refocus. If a door doesn't open, it's simply not your door. Often we are trying to climb latters that are not ours to climb. Is your dream really your dream? Are you chasing what you truly want?. Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand. Everytime we think we are being rejected for something good, remember you're just being redirected to something better. I wish people will know about this and make the most of it. I am not trying to discourage anyone out there from not trying, but the trial should be to an extent.

My advice, go for the one you feel your chances are considerably high. Should you wish to apply for the both simultaneously, bear in mind that a background check will be put into effect on your study permit application. Thus, the two applications might coincide and the visa officer will found out that you've an active profile for a work permit and that you're actually not going to Canada for studies but rather to work.
