wolex2090: Please guys,I need a serious advise,in 2015,i did my international passport and I increase my age by 5yrs according to agent I use for U.S visit visa which was later denied.since then I didn't apply for any country.
Now,i want to go for my master's in Canada,my waec certificate has my real age,but the international passport age is different.
Please guys what can I do? Does it mean I can't study abroad any more?
What can I do,no insult please. Since there is an inconsistency on your passport that is totally different from the ones you have on your other documents. Then your best bet is to go to the Immigration Headquarters in Abuja. That's the only place I know in Nigeria that issues like this can be resolved without hassles, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. When you get to the immigration headquarters, go straight to the Glass house and explain to any elderly officer you see around, please don't give the work to junior officers. I reiterate elderly officers because they seem to be the only reasonable ones who takes the work serious, after explaining he/she will tell you how much it will cost you. Whatever the amount they tell you usually between (250k-300k), please don't bargain it too much as that alone might delay your work. I'm talking from experience, I'm sure you know how Nigeria government establishments work. With money you can easily buy your way through grin If you want to Change it because you're now married, then you need to go along with some documents. E.g; your marriage certificate. But whatever the case, be ready to spend a huge amount of money and also you'll need to be patient because the processing takes time let say (3-6weeks) I hope you find the information useful. nua07: Nawawo! So CIC can send you a message like this “there have been no updates to your application (S3*******76) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience.” Even without writing them for requesting for an update on your application? You're receiving such email correspondence from IRCC because you subscribed for a monthly update of your application on your MyCIC account. |

sillysassysally: Hi Nairaland Family,
I was reading old threads and came across an old tradition that I believe would benefit all of us. If you are a 2019 TRV applicant, kindly share your profile so that we can rub minds together to establish a timeline as to how CIC operates.
This idea was initiated by jnyuwa02
Please see the template below to guide the information you’re to share
1. Sanwo-olu Applied online- Jan 25th Biometrics- Jan 31st Eligibility started- Feb 24th No medical request yet. As of today current status still shows eligibility review and background check
2. Buhari555 Applied via paper - Feb 12th Upfront medicals updated - Feb 20th Eligibility review - March 1st
3. Rochas Applied Online - Jan 5th Biometrics - Jan 6th Medical request - Feb 28th Passed medicals - March 5th Haven’t heard back on final offer
Hoping for the best for us all! Indeed an old tradition dumped in the trash. We were unable to continue with the above custom due to the fact that the moniker (wealth360) who volunteered himself in rendering this selfless act got his Visa approved. Since that time, no one likewise myself has shown interest to continue from where he stopped. I am delighted seeing that you've decided to bear the responsibility of publishing the names of TRV hopefuls. Keep the good work going @sillysassysally. |

teejay2018: My boss! Respect sir.
Sorry, I'm just seeing this. But the moniker in question contacted me few days ago, and I've replied his mail. But for the benefit of others who may need the info, this is what I've noticed.
Offer letters are sent out in March/April depending on the departments, and some also get it earlier, if they apply early too. So if the applicant waits till end of April with nothing yet, I'd advise to contact graduate studies. In 2017 and 2018, offers were sent out on April 24th(same day) for my program. Thanks teejay2018 for responding to the applicant's concerns. Cc: TeeeeApril, the above information is for you. |

Some universites in Canada do offer PGD. Generally, colleges offer numerous PGD programs than universites. What's your field of interest? I could possibly play around with my internet. |

wealth360: Hello Everyone. I came back here to encourage someone especially May/June/July 2018 applicants. I'm of the opinion that all these applicants should have patient with the London Visa Office provided your application is confirmed to be treated there.
My reasons; I also submitted SOWP and TRV application for my wife and daughter respectively on the 15th of May, 2018 precisely. Because I'm here in Canada, I was able to use 2 MP's office to make enquiries for our application after 7 months of no update nor replies from CIC both in Lagos and London. Applied for 2 GCMS note in October and December last year and no updates of any sort on the note except many emails and enquiries sent to them.
Our Findings: London Visa office is overwhelmed with so much applications especially from Nigerian, because as @ 2018 Jan - July thereabout, most of the online route application were all transmitted to London office, coupled with PR applications, study permits, visitor visa and many other things Dont be surprise, This was the information given to us after 9 months in Feb 2019. Many applications from last year are still on queue for eligibility review either primary or secondary review.
My Message: Last week after 10 months of waiting, we got PPr for my wife and Daughter. a friend also got SP approved after 10 months. so, TRV hopeful as the name sound so you should be. please if London have not updated you, I bet you it will be approval. if they are gonna deny you, it will have happened before now.
Just to encourage you guys from last year MAY/JUNE/JULY 2018.
A big thanks to Frankrobbn1. God bless you bro. What an inspirational and impactful story!. Happy to hear the long awaited application finally concluded in jubilation and praises. Thanks for sharing and elevating the minds of those who are presently on the wait list from IRCC. I hope they will also share their success story in a short while. Thanks for your elite wishes my bro and Amen to all of them. I am honoured to be mentioned in this crowning achievement. Congratulations! May God bless you and your family! Do have a great stay in Canada. |

sillysassysally: What of half-siblings? are we also supposed to include their birth certificates? Also, in the case that two of a PA's half-sibling immigrated (one to the US and one to the UK - based on marrying citizens), does it weaken home ties and how does one need to address this? It's not compulsory to include their birth certificates (half-siblings). Either way if it's available you can. I know of someone whose half of her family lives in Canada and still secured her TRV. Thus, It doesn't weaken the PA's application on the account that PA's half-siblings reside abroad. As long as PA can demonstrate sufficient ties to their home country that can motivate their departure after visit, that wouldn't be an issue. Significant ties can include PA's other close family members who live in their home country (aged parents, spouse, kids and immediate siblings), current employment as well as good prospects for future employment in PA's country, ownership of an active business, and ownership of property or other assets in PA's home country. |

Johnsonkelvin: Hello, please it is very necessary that I submit siblings birth certificate, because the family form I Saw is IMM5707 and also is it compulsory my sponsor (dad) declared his dependants in letter of sponsorship?? I didn't do any of them the last time I APPLIED THANKS Include the birth certificate of your siblings. Also, your sponsor (father) should list out the number of his dependants because this gives a clearer view about his family composition. Father should further state in his letter of sponsorship that sponsoring you will not be a burden to the family, business and personal welfare. |

Bracha: Hello,
You cannot get it from there. Police Clearance Certificate only comes from the Police Criminal Registry Office Alagbon, in Ikoyi Lagos. Police clearance certificate can be obtained in any part of the country. The difference is that it will be more expensive in other states than Lagos. |

gatsbym4: Please can anyone tell me, if I can get a police clearance certificate from iyaganku police station in Ibadan... thank you... and pls how much is it... You can get a police clearance certificate anywhere in Nigeria. However, the cost of obtaining the certificate in Ibadan will be relatively high (let say 15-20k) in comparison with Lagos where you can get it at an affordable rate (5K). This is due to the fact that the police headquarters at Ibadan will have to transfer your request to CID headquarters at Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos for due processing, before sending it back to them and then ready for collection by you (the requester). With that being said, it's left for you to decide whether to come to Lagos, obtain the certificate and submit your application same day since the process doesn't take longer than 20minutes. |
