WEIRDPC, Longest time bro! You've not been contributing to the forum lately. Hope all is well with you? Stay safe and welcome back Bro! |
chuksiyk31:chuksiyk31, For sure!, You can get an admission without hassles! But there are low and high tendency of you getting a visa approval for a Bsc at the age of 27. This can only be achieved once you can account for your study gaps, what have you been up and doing since you last left high school? Have you acquired any relevant training certificate while away from school? You also need to convince the visa officer to why you haven't acquired a Bsc certifcation till this time and reasons why you choose Canada rather than Nigeria to complete your chosen course of study. Present your case in a reasonable manner on a rational letter of explanation and your visa application will scale through! All the best! |
CanadianNurse:Welcome back man CanadianNurse! |
mightyola:mightyola, It will be best you discuss the reasons to why going for a PGC is very important to you at this stage in life, instead of disclosing the poor CGPA during your undergraduate studies. You may start by saying that a PGC specializes more on hands on vocational trainings and practical training which is very essential in learning more about the complexity of your chosen course of study, whilst a Master’s degree will only expose you to the theoretical knowledge which can’t equip you with the necessary acquaintance needed for a successful career back home. Hence, your choice for PGC rather than a masters degree. Relate more ideas on this and you will be fine. All the best! |
GentleDollz:GentleDollz, This should be enough to evident your current employment situation... Also include payslips. salary bank statement (if any) and work ID. |
nivlek000: okwadatigbogal:I acted out of impulse. I am sorry I don't know it all Sir! I just felt the refusal could have been averted. |
. |
chisiudeh:chisiudeh, Address your SOP to the deputy high commission of Canada. There is no need putting your address. |
Kishkosh:Kishkosh, You won't be able to see the result of your upfront medicals until you apply for visa. An E-medical slip will be issued to you by the hospital where you completed the medicals, of which you're expected to include this slip with your application. The Visa officer will then use the UMI number that is located at the beneath of the medical slip to track the medical result and upload it on your CIC account whenever you have submitted your application. |
Phocusjosh:Lemia was actually correct! See attached! Permanent resident applications are being processed at Accra, while temporary resident visa are handled in LAGOS visa office, of which I'm yet to see an application that was processed by them. Because most paper applications I have seen are handled at Nairobi or Accra.
|
Lemia:Sounds interesting! Indeed it has changed, but I'm yet to see an application that was processed at LAGOS visa office. All good! Thanks for the info |
Cboss:Cboss, Economics itself is an academic subject while HRM is a vocational one. You have to explain to the visa officer on your SOP the strong correlation between your previous studies, current employment and proposed program by listing out some courses which you did during your undergraduate studies that are pre-requisite to your intended program in HR. Go through your university departmental program website to find some courses. Most times, People studying HRM or business related program normally need to take a few economics modules to understand some underlying principles of how economic factors affect business. You may also decide to say you wish to further in a vocational subject that focuses on specific cooperate jobs that will be of an added advantage to your portfolio and an immense potential to your career prospects back home. My advise is that you go for MSc in HR |
Candybright:Okay! For an undegraduate program, you can extend your research to the below listed institutions for the winter semester: 1-) The university of Winnipeg 2-) Brandon University Manitoba 3-) University of Regina 4-) Univeristy of Manitoba 5-) University of Saskatchewan 6-) Memorial University of Newfoundland 7-) Thompson Rivers University Kamloops. All the best! |
dubaiboy1:dubaiboy1, Are you currently on a visiting Visa in Dubai? If so, you will have to return to your home country to apply for your study permit. But if you're a on a Student Visa or permanent residence over there, then you are eligible to apply from Dubai. I don't seem to understand what you mean by the bolded words. Do you mean to say your uncle has given his documents to a distant relative last year for visa application? If so? Yes you can use his documents, try everything humanly possible to get an updated bank statement from him and know the progress of the previous relative he gave his financial documents to be sure if the applicant application is still undergoing processing with CIC or finished, so that the applicant application won't collide with yours(i.e using one (1) person to sponsor two (2) different applications. More so, in a situation where by this is a maternal uncle, attach your mom marriage certificate, birth certificate and uncle birth certificate and international passport bio data page to evident that both of them once shared same family name. In addition, you can as well show strong proof of relationship with uncle, which can be history or ongoing financial support from him. All the best! |
Lemia:Your application is likely to be processed at Kenya Nairobi or Accra. Lagos visa office doesn't process study permit applications. They are meant to receive applications after which they transfer them to the above named offices. |
reichwolf:reichwolf, You can go ahead and complete the first term tuition deposit requested by the university and send the official transcripts quickly so as to acquire an unconditional acceptance offer for your study permit application. Again, be guided that payment of upfront tuition is not a prerequisite to visa approval. When it comes to Canada study visa, your duty is to certify the visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of the authorized stay by providing strong ties to your home country. You must also present justifiable reasons to why you're going for a second masters degree in Canada rather than a Phd to show progression. What is your current activity? Is it related to business? |
MightyGIE:HOW TO OPEN A CANADIAN BANK ACCOUNT FROM NIGERIA Make sure you have a solicitor/lawyer stand by to notarized all your documents before kick starting the process. |
Lemia:Lemia, Don't let the automated email which you got after successful submission of your study permit application confuse you. Lagos visa office recieves study permit applications, after which they transfer it to the processing office which is Nairobi or Accra for paper route, while online applications are mostly processed at London or Turkey. So far so good most visa approvals and refusals I have seen from prospective applicants are coming from the above mentioned offices, I haven't set my eyes on Lagos visa office issuing visa for study permit. |
Phocusjosh: Phocusjosh:Phocusjosh, You've answered your first question with the above link shared by you. Sending a Case specific Enquiry email to CIC when an application has exceeded the stipulated processing time does not show sign of desperation. CIC is aware of this and has given every applicant the privilege to do so. Congratulations in advance! |
Phocusjosh:It will be good if you send them a CSE inquiry email as your current application has passed the stipulated processing time. |
odimbannamdi:Very well then, will be happy to see you contributing your quota to this great forum. All the best with your admission application. |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, Every official business letter headed paper bears: the address of the business, the contact details, the business name, and the nature of the business(what the business specializes in). How come yours does not posses this characteristics? Well, this can also be a problem too. As previously said, the main problem here was that CIC had an integrated search with your dad's business name on CAC website and couldn't find it. Please try running a check with your dad's business name on CAC website :www.cac.gov.ng |
Kemdy97:Oh! Sorry about that, try using it's official webpage www.cac.gov.ng and click on public search! |
odimbannamdi:odimbannamdi, In your case what will best sell here is an MBA program, considering that you're into business since you last left university and decide to further studies in business shows a career progression for you and will also stand as a career advancement towards your business portfolio back home. This appears more realistic to a visa officer. A progression as it goes can be your current employment position/activity with your proposed program or previous studies with your intended program. |
Jewel80:Jewel80, Paying your full tuition and living expenses at your disposal has not provided your sponsor source of income. CAC certificate is a mandatory business registration document that is required by CIC and must be included along side with your application. I haven't come across an applicant that secured visa without a CAC certificate, Tax clearance certificate is not compulsory, but if you have one you can include them. I advise you heed to @Wealth360 suggestion, try searching the business name and not the full business name that ends with limited and let's see how it goes. |
Jewel80:Jewel80, This was the origin of Kemdy97 current problem. How come yours is also not found?. The bolded is not a tangible reason to why a business name shouldn't appear on CAC portal. |
Yinyechi:Yinyechi, One behalf of this thread, we say we are deeply sorry about the outcome of your application. I bolded some of the errors you made in your previous refused application. Be guided that payment of upfront tuition is not a prerequisite to Visa approval. Do you work? If yes... Include your personal bank statement. If you're a fresh graduate and no work yet, I see no reasons including a bank statement on your behalf. Yes those *Most people* that advised you earlier are absolutely correct, if you have a good CGPA for the last 2 years in the University or a 2.1 that can help in securing a direct masters degree, please apply for it as you stand a chance with this to a diploma program and be sure that is directly related to your previous studies/job role. Finally, order for your CAIPS file using this link: This is simply a note that will further give clarification on the factual reason behind your application refusal. https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en It will end in praises in your next application. |
Candybright:Candybright, Searching for admission against fall by this time? No! It's late. I want to believe you're heading for a masters program. All masters degree/PGD/PGC applications against fall must be closed by now. Kindly apply for an admission for the winter. |
Kishkosh:Kishkosh, From experience, presenting to the embassy that you work and earn salary every month end, It is expected of you to present a paystubs from your employer and a salary bank statement to evident that you're truly paid into your account at every month end. It's not a rule that it must be a transfer, salaries can be paid by deposit into an employee account using the company name as the depositor. In your case where you work for a close relative (Uncle), you have to explain on your SOP that your current employer, who happens to be your uncle pays salaries by cash (seal envelope) of which you have some savings in your account (You then present your personal account). If you do this, no issues will be raised! |
Kishkosh:Kishkosh, Funny guy! I remain loyal Sir!...Definitely you will be in Canada soon, it's a matter of time okay! Everything in life happens at their own time and pace. Keep reading past threads and other different relevant posts on the internet concerning filing a good study permit application and you will notice that you will be far better than everyone here! I hope to see you contributing your quota to this great forum soon! Cheers boss! |
Famzyactivity:Famzyactivity, To provide clarity on your GCMS file, The Visa officer is simply not satisfied you have social and economic ties that can compel your return back home after studies in Canada. Your guarantor has an insufficient funds to cover for both your tuition and living expenses in Canada. Travel history is not a factual reason for a refusal, once you can tackle your home ties and insufficient funds that was raised by the Visa officer, travel history will be waived for you. Home ties: Things like the below should be addressed in your SOP and backed up with strong evidence on file to address your family ties in Nigeria: 1-) Do you have a spouse and kids(minors) and are you leaving them behind? 2-) Do you have elderly parents who depend on you? 3-) Do you own a registered businesses/landed property that you need to continue managing? 4-) Do you have adequate funds? 5-) Do you have family members whom are not accompanying you to Canada? 6-) Do you have investments back home, that you will continue running like: Shares with the bank etc.. 7-) Do you have an obligation in your community?.. A youth leader in your local community and you will be back to take up this position. Pick any from the seven (7) listed above, that is applicable to you and discuss how it will induce you to return after studies in a realistic manner. Insufficient available funds : Pay your tuition fees and and let your sponsor transfer living expenses into your personal/dorm account. In a situation where by your sponsor can't transfer living expenses funds to you, try as much as possible to pay up your full tuition and make sure your sponsor presents a strong letter of sponsorship stating that the remaining 10kCAD for your first year living expenses will be made accessible by you and available for you once you've successfully acquired your TRV, coupled with a sworn affidavit of sponsorship. Though, this must appear very convincing. Lastly, endeavor to present a rational explanation to why you prefer Canada to Nigeria considering the high cost of foreign education. Why does your program deserve to be studied abroad not NIGERIA, since it will be cheaper here and favourable to your sponsor. Do all this and you will be fine in your next application. All the best! |
Lotusboi:This was not the problem! People get visas without the bolded. |
