lonelydude: andre99:Advice from andre99 is a good one! @ lonelydude, I have seen applicants that have a masters degree and are going for a second masters degree in Canada and were approved of their visas, you can as well do same. But, your reasons for opting out for a second masters degree at this point in time instead of a Phd, must be justifiable. Lastly, With your level of education and working experiences you stand a better chance if you go through Express entry. Being a permanent resident of Canada, you're entitled to many goodies. To mention a few, your tuition will be rated same as a citizen of Canada, you don't have to pay exorbitant international students fee, you can also relocate your family(wife and kids) to Canada without restrictions. |
geotherm:geotherm, Include the uncle identification Card (Int'l passport bio data page). Presenting a study leave letters for a 2 year and above program does not appear realistic. You can show ties to your home country through your career prospects, family property, family business etc.. |
geotherm:Merge the police clearance certificate with your personal documents and upload them in the client information space! |
Lemia:Congratulations Lemia! |
Mrsecman:Wow! This is great. Glad to see it worked for you also. Congrats! |
HerMoney:HerMoney, You don't need any other form. The signed consent form you sent to the person assisting you is only form that is required for this process. |
Titaniium:Happy to hear it also worked for you! Congratulations in advance! |
HiSignature:You've a point here HiSignature, yes there are no blue print when it comes to visa process. But there are certain factors one needs to put into consideration before applying for Canada study visa. I dish out my advices based on experience and what I have seen on several GCMS notes, using a brother-in-law as the main sponsor to an applicant is not always feasible. If an applicant must make use of such sponsor a strong proof of relationship must suffice like proof of history or ongoing financial support from the brother-in-law coupled with a very convincing letter of sponsorship and strong financial backing (commitment). |
HerMoney:HerMoney, Applying for a study visa to Canada with a proposed program that is not related to your current employment or previous studies is usually difficult but not impossible because there are no traces of academic/career progression. To support your claims, go for a program you have relavant experience in. Or Better still, table a rational letter of explanation detailing your reasons for a change in career path and how you intend to excel in your new academic pursuit, how it might be of paramount benefit to you and your home country. Lastly, don't be in a haste to reapply if you haven't secured your gcms notes and address the concerns of the visa officer regarding your previous refused application. |
ayoadefantastic:ayoadefantastic, Nice tips from you! Even as that, using a Brother-in-law is also unfeasible here! Because, the Visa officer will question his sponsorship, why should a brother-in-law leave all his direct relations, immediate family members, dependants and now spending so much for an inlaw (applicant) to school abroad in a country like Canada where education is so demanding, the high tuition and living expenses. What has this applicant (inlaw) done to deserve such preferential treatments from a brother-in-law. What the brother-in-law stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship should be addressed in the letter of sponsorship. I have read so many GCMS Notes where a Visa officer is not satisfied with a brother-in-law sponsoring an applicant to Canada. I advise the applicant should go for a direct relative rather than a brother-in-law. |
olufiz89:olufiz89, Using the bolded (your sisters husband brother) as a sponsor to your visa application will be unrealistic to the visa officer. If you must make use of the above individual as a sponsor, the financial commitment from him must be very very strong (i.e Paying full tuition and transferring funds in a dorm account) and the reasons for sponsorship must appear very convincing too. But, you stand a chance if you use a direct relative... Father, mother, brother, sister, uncle or aunt as your sponsor rather than the above person. Kind Regards! |
Prudento:Yeah! I have seen an applicant who was called for medicals with such update on her CIC account! There are no set out standards to which CIC follows prior an applicant will be called for medicals. Sometimes it comes this way. Both applicants should be hopeful, it's a good sign. |
Titaniium:It's a good sign. Be hopeful your medical request is coming shortly! |
Mrsecman:You will be called for medicals soon! The good news is on its way. Sometimes medical request comes this way. Relax! |
Hrhchris:Christo I celebrate with you my brother! Congratulations!!! |
alftdbts:alftdbts, First bank master card will work perfectly, the total cost is between the sum of 66270-68000. Yes uploading documents comes first before completing payment. Upfront medicals is not compulsory, most applicants go for this due to the time factor, because it speeds up visa application processing. All the best! |
chisiudeh:It's normal! Chill and Relax! Your biometrics letter is on its way. |
leonard20147:leonard20147, Going for graphics design as your proposed program shows a career progression for you. You have no problem whatsoever. When applying for your visa, endeavor to include all documents to evident your current employment situation. All the best! |
MrsDaniels:Hello Madam, Glad to hear you find the previous piece useful. In my understanding you need to fill up the statutory declaration of common law union only if your common law partner is your co signer. Meaning, you've to fill the form while your hubby is the co-signer. Yes! It was clearly stated on the form, that you will either need a notary public, commissioner of oaths or commissioner of taking affidavit. In this case, you will need one to administer the declaration. To mention a few, OTHER DOCUMENTS CAN BE: Your Acceptance letter Spouse's passport bio data page Spouse's passport visa stamped pages Your passport bio data page Marriage certificate Your birth certificate You and your spouse educational certificate(degree) You and your spouse bank statements for the past 4 months. Property evaluation (if any) Wedding photos Your employment verification letter if you working. Your pay stubs for the past 4 months Promotion letters(if any) Your travel history (Stamped visa pages). Your birth certificate. Below are some of the clues found on a traditional Canada study permit SOP: Each paragraph must have a central idea and a different point. Paragraph 1-) Academic and career profile should be discussed briefly. Paragraph 2-) Why you choose the program of choice. Paragraph 3-) The school of choice. Paragraph 4-) Why you choose Canada and not Nigeria considering the high cost and difficulty of undertaking a foreign education. Paragraph 5-) Financial provisions. Paragraph 6-) Family ties in country of residence, what can compel your return home after studies. Paragraph 7-) Career goals: What you intend to achieve at the end of the program in Canada, how it will enhance your career prospects back home and how it will be of paramount benefit to you in the future and to your home country. Accompanying dependant (Spouse) doesn't need to tender an SOP as he is not the principal applicant. Lastly, kindly extend your queries to the SOWP thread using the link below, as that's the ideal place to get answers to your questions not here. Presently, this forum is strictly for matters relating to Canada study visa. SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT THREAD All the best! |
olugere:olugere, I'm honoured to get such prayers and best wishes from you! I sincerely appreciate and I say AMEN to that! For your accompanying Kids, you will be expected to fill a separate TRV form for each of them as newly stated by CIC. When filling the family form be sure you click on Accompanying me to Canada for each of them |
HerMoney:HerMoney, Well, including a salary bank statement with your application adds more credibility, but I don't think you being unable to include one with your application was what lead to your visa refusal. An employment letter, introductory letter, 3-4 payslips and work ID can evidence your current employment situation. Back to business, while looking closely from your profile, it happens that you have few/little experience in your intended program, which could further buttress your intent/purpose to be solely for studies to the visa officer and also considering that you're currently working in a legal position, which is not reasonable in control to your proposed course and having studied Law in your previous studies shows no logical progression between your current employment, previous studies and your intended program. The short and long story is that, you quickly order for your GCMS Note's then we could know the factual reasons behind your refusal and then pick it up from there. It shall end in praises next time! |
olugere:olugere, I want to drop into conclusion that you're a paper route applicant.. 1-) You're expected to submit originals of bank statement. Letters addressed to the embassy should be originals and all other supporting documents are meant to be photocopies. You don't necessarily need to notarize your documents before submission. 2-) You can certify/notarize your documents in a notary public office at Alagbon Passport Office Lagos, Alausa Passport Office, Ikeja high court of law etc... 3-) Documents that needs to be notarized are documents that does not bear an official signature or stamp on them. If your documents has an official stamp and sign, then there is no need notarising them. 4-) To notarize a document, you will need to take along with you the original copy to a notary public office, of which it will cost you between the sum of N500-700 per copy, depending on your bargaining skills. All the best! |
olugere:SAMPLE EMPLOYMENT OFFER
|
SPOILT9JAOLOSHO:No consequences if you're already in Canada. |
SPOILT9JAOLOSHO:SPOILT9JAOLOSHO, Your chances of getting a TRV approval is extremely slim but not impossible as your intended program is far not reasonable in control with your previous studies/current employment history. If you persist going with such profile, then be ready to present a justifiable reasons (a rational letter of explanation) pointing out reasons to why you're deviating from your previous discipline to something you do not have any relavant experience in. How do you plan to succeed in this program being a first timer with no experience, what intrigued you so much to pursue this program in Canada and your career goals back home etc... All the best! |
MrsDaniels: MrsDaniels:Hello Madam, Oh! Sorry to hear you went all this stress but to no avail. Kindly follow the below guidelines/steps stated by me and I am sure you will get it right this time. 1-) Apply online and acquire the correct forms using this link: HOW TO APPLY FOR SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT FROM UNITED KINGDOM 2-) Complete the PDF Application Form IMM1295E SPOUSAL WORK PERMIT FORM MADE OUTSIDE CANADA 3-) Save it to your desktop, and upload it to your application (the electronic signature is not needed). No job offer is necessary when applying for a spousal work permit. You can indicate "not applicable" in fields requesting this information. No Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is necessary for the above work permits; you can leave this section blank. 4-) Upload required documents Upload your saved IMM1295E form to your application 5-) When asked to upload your passport, be sure to include ALL stamped/marked pages of your passport. These should all be scanned into 1 document. 6-) If you were required to do a medical exam as part of your work permit application, upload proof of this (i.e. a receipt and E-medical slip) in the additional documents section. If not, there is no need for medicals. 7-) Last but not the least, Pay the required fees: Spousal work permit = $155 + $100 = $255. Please don't hesitate to let me know if this information is not sufficient or not related to what you seek. All the best! |
Martswoll:The only man that was panicking on this great forum disturbing the peace of Everyone. Finally his TRV has arrived. A huge congrats to you once again! You've created a name for yourself # DE TRAVEL HISTORY GUY! . I hope you will be around to contribute to this great forum. |
HerMoney:HerMoney, I want to believe you didn't undergo an upfront medicals. If you did, it's likely not a refusal. But if you didn't, I am afraid it's a refusal. Kindly Order your GCMS notes using the below link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en While waiting your GCMS notes, you can as well share your profile to the house. It will end in praises next time. |
Kemsure30:Kemsure30, You have no problem at all, going for global business management at this stage in life shows a logical progression between your current employment/activity and your intended program. Having been into business for 6 years and now decide to study in Canada to enhance career prospects shows a career progression in your academic pursuit. Include all documents to evident proof of ownership of business: Tax clearance certificates, CAC certificates etc.... All the best! |
esefrancis:esefrancis, You will get a mail notifying that there is an update in your CIC account, of which you will find a medical form lying below your CIC account messages. You then have to download this form from your account, together with your intl passport bio data page and a medical fee to complete your medicals in an accredited physician by CIC. All the bst! |
Martswoll:Congrats Martswoll |
olumzy1993:olumzy1993, 1-) If you should conceal the fact that you already have a degree in Canada, how do you intend to cover up your study gaps for the past 4 years while at the University and a year mandatory NYSC program.... Which amounted to 5 years study gap?. 2-) Yes you can bring in your spouse through SOWP (Spousal open work permit) when you've successfully acquired your TRV. 3-) At first, you need to show POF for your first year tuition and living expenses and have some left for your sponsor. In addition, You will certify the VO that funds will be made available for the subsequent years of study from your guarantor. 4-) 9M is good to an extent... But it boils down to the total sum of your first year expenses in Canada and the number of dependants your sponsor has, will also be put into consideration. The more dependants your sponsor has, the more funds he/she needs to show/declare. 5-) You don't need IELTS before applying for your visa. All the best! |
