Igbouwanile:The young man is loyal Sir! My humble greetings to you brother! What's new bro and hope life is treating you well over there? Stay safe! |
Phocusjosh:That nobody has an answer to. At most, 1-5weeks to get an approval. |
Phocusjosh:From recent findings, it's rare. Getting a medical request and passed and later got refused took place last year, but I haven't come across such happening this year. They hardly deny an applicant nowadays after being called for medicals. Therefore, the likelihood of getting a refusal is significantly low. |
bbclue:My Madam! Sure!Yes he is making a good point from his end. I know very well the applicant can present a notarized affidavit to tackle the both errors in his NYSC & Degree certificate and It's not a rule that the applicant must visit his previous university to effect a change in his name. Wait a minute, with the bolded words are you saying based on experience or presupposition? Changing a university degree certificate name isn't so easy as you thought it would be. |
jnyuwa02:Hehehe Attorney! , I hope you don't expect me to agree from your perspective! Are you insinuating that you haven't seen an applicant that submitted a sworn affidavit in support of the discrepancies in name and got approved? Why do you think the visa officer will use that against the applicant application? Since the applicant has gone ahead to present this to a notary public officer and proven to be authentic. I bet you that this won't be an issue in his application.Edited: if the applicant can easily get his way in changing this errors with his previous institution. Then fine! If on the contrary he was unable to achieve this, a notarized affidavit will suffice. |
Vnjz:Vnjz, I'm sorry, my hands are tied now. I have so much letters on ground that are yet to be reviewed. You can transfer this letter of yours to my bosses in the house to assist in revamping them for you. I apologize for any inconveniences this might cause you! |
Linsigne:Linsigne, Check Memorial University of Newfoundland! They have tuition fee below your targeted budget. Visa application fee is 55-57K for paper route, while online applications cost 65-67K. You also need to acquire a sponsor to support your application, presenting 1.9M will be insufficient as you will also need to put your first year living expenses of 10,000CAD equivalent = 2,850,000N. All the best! |
gerrymini:gerrymini, You're expected to fill four (4) forms namely: Document checklist IMM 5483, Study permit questionnaire IMM 5832, Study permit form made outside Canada IMM 1294, Family information form IMM5707En All the best! Cc: chisiudeh take note! |
Vnjz:Vnjz, You need to present a rational explanation to why you left the IT industry for the past 4 years and now wants to further your studies in the discipline of applied network infrastructure. The 15 certifications you've acquired in the IT industry will be of paramount assistance here to explain your intent to further in the IT field. Write extensively to why the cost of your program is justifiable and warrants the cost and difficulty of undertaking a foreign education. Why you can't undergo this program in Nigeria since it will be less expensive here and reduces the financial burden on your sponsor, why you opted out for a PGC instead of a direct masters degree, How the program will be beneficial to you as an individual and to your prospects back home, the lucrativeness of this program in Nigeria after studies in Canada. Activate this and discuss them on your SOP and you will be fine. |
.... |
jnyuwa02:I grab your point my attorney! Considering the applicant is heading for fall and the clock is fast ticking for his application submission. I see no problem If he submits a notarized affidavit to support his claims with his application, while he goes ahead with the names amendment from his school and NYSC. |
Vnjz:Vnjz, Purpose of visit as a generic reason for refusal is always broad and can be tackled when you get to set your eyes on your CAIPS file So, I'll help a sister by advising her to order for her GCMS note before re-applying. Using the link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en Edited: Is your intended program reasonable in control with your previous studies/job role? |
jnyuwa02:Attorney! And you think this would be done in a haste? Do you know the rigorous process he has to undergo and the huge cost involved prior he can change his first degree certificate and NYSC name? It's not an easy task as you thought. In a situation like this, a well written notarized affidavit explaining the discrepancies of name will be the best for now and will be acceptable by the visa officer. |
holubukola:holubukola, Madam, there are few samples of SOP at the beginning of this thread, I beg you to check page 0 of this thread you will find some. Also, you can get so many through www.google.com. But beware of plagiarism while picking some points from the internet. Sure! SOP is not compulsory but necessary. Because we have some records of few applicants that didn't include an SOP in their application and got approved, while some were rejected. With the present situation on ground, SOP/LOE is very important when it comes to Canada study visa. I'll advise you include them in your application as it will further buttress your study gaps, why the program, why you choose Canada and not Nigeria, your home ties, financial establishment and after study plan (career goals) and prospects in Nigeria. Finally a well written SOP does wonders in your application and can land you a visa approval. All the best! |
bbclue:bbclue, I guess I came across such school today while browsing through the internet. Oh! Unfortunately, I was unable to lay my hands on the school. ![]() But for real, it's difficult to find such school that offers PGD in the discipline of Business administration and pays upon arrival. Most schools will require an applicant to pay at least a tuition deposit or an acceptance fee. You can as well extend this question to www.quora.com or www.google.com ![]() |
chisiudeh:chisiudeh, My earlier suggestion regarding your current employment situation will be your best bet here. I advise you go in search of that. You can't present to a Visa officer that you quit your source of livelihood since January till date all in the name of sitting for an IELTS test that doesn't take a candidate up to a month to prepare for the exam and come out with flying colors. |
joe10:joe10, Online applications - You will get a passport request to submit your passport for stamping at the VFS. While, Paper applications - Your passport of which you submitted along side with your application, will be dispatched to you, while you pick it up at the VFS. Hope understood! All the best! |
technokid: jnyuwa02:Attorney! A sworn and notarized affidavit clearly stating the discrepancies of names on his documents/certificates will do well in his case. The bolded words shouldn't be the best suggestion at this point in time. Cc: technokid |
Jewel80:Jewel80, Of course yes! It's acceptable! So many successful TRV applicants didn't exchange funds into a domicilary account and got approved. It's left for you to certify the visa officer that the funds in the said naira bank account will be accesible by you and available during your stay in Canada and you will get your visa approved as well. All the best! |
gerrymini:gerrymini, This is more realistic and credible! In this case, it's more better you claim that this business is running and try as much as possible to show some funds in your name. Again, make sure the activities of this business shows a natural progression with your proposed program in Canada. All the best! |
Hardinno:I doubt if you did the right thing. The current processing time is 9weeks. |
gerrymini:gerrymini, Resigning from your place of work just for the sake of sitting for an IELTS test and preparing for your studies in Canada is not justifiable. Reasons why I said its not justifiable is because people combine their job, sit for an IELTS test, prepare for their studies abroad and at the end they achieve their purpose without leaving their respective places of work. Why should you then resign all in the name of travelling to Canada when you haven't secured your TRV? That's a question you need to answer. I hope you don't intend presentating the above, because it's unreasonable. All the best! |
gerrymini:gerrymini, Yes you can! A registered business is a strong tie to your application, whether running or not. Simply, explain on your SOP/LOE that you've a registered biz back home and you will be coming back to continue managing it. Provide all evidence on file. |
Aghatise:Aghatise, Check my past post using this link. https://www.nairaland.com/4390108/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/33#66255587 |
obajoey:Thebushboy is actually correct! The bolded words already flags your application to be refused based on purpose of visit. Why changing to a program that is not reasonable inlight with your previous studies and current professional career (job role)? That's a big hurdle for you! Advice: Simply go back and secure an admission that is related to finance, then apply for your visa. |
Aghatise:It's more better you link your application online. |
chisiudeh:chisiudeh, Considering that you've already quit your current job as at January and you've not been working since then. CIC wants to know what you've been doing for the past 10years till date. Presenting to them on file that you don't have something doing for the past 5 months since you last left your previous job, you're indirectly asking them to refuse your application based on 1-) Current employment situation, 2-) Limited employment prospects in country of residence. 3-) Personal assests and financial status and 4-) Purpose of visit. To avoid this, It will be best you include the details of your previous employment while filling the IMM1294 form and also try acquire a new employment letter from a company to cover your 5 months gaps that will be directly related to your intended program. All the best! |
Famzyactivity:Of course yes! The current processing time is 8 weeks. |
Phocusjosh:Wow! |
bbclue:bbclue, Yeah yeah! That's what I noticed recently, he's really doing a wonderful job here. I guess the spirit of being a guru has fallen on him. LOL! ![]() Edited: It's a sign that no one is too important, each and everyone here is countable as long as one can proffer viable solutions to queries. |
Candybright:It's not too late depending on the institution you've in mind. |
chisiudeh:I'm very sorry to disappoint you for the very first time. I am currently having so many SOP's from prospective applicants, which I am yet to review. If you are in a hurry, you can send it to some of my bosses here. I strongly apologize for any inconveniences this might cause you! |
