Asapant:Asapant, 16months masters huh? I never said its impossible okay, but your reasons for going for such duration of program must be justifiable and convincing. |
goingforward:goingforward, If you're applying online the family form there is the old one IMM5645E, so make use of it and if you're applying through paper route you're expected to make use of the new family form IMM5707E which excludes adding your siblings details. None of these forms are wrong, anyone that said this, is spreading a false information. Best of luck! |
hasalau:hasalau, Applicants going for studies in Canada are expected to fill the IMM1294E form and not the IMM5257 which was written on the online dashboard as OPTIONAL. |
Asapant:Asapant Sir, sorry for the late response okay. Well, I'm not a Visa officer nor a guru. But, I advise people based on experience and what I learnt so far on Canadian student visa. If a masters degree applicant applied for a year program in Canada, the applicant must have a justifiable reason for going for a year (12 months) masters degree in Canada. Few out of applicants with a year masters degree program will scale through while majority will be refused based on length of stay in Canada and purpose of visit. Applicant going for a 2 years PGD that is relevant to their previous discipline of study/job role because their CGPA wasn't up to the minimum 2.1 requirement for a masters degree program in Canada will easily scale through than an applicant going for a year masters degree in Canada. All the best! |
Thebushboy:With the new contradictions, it's best to continue addressing all letters to your local embassy or that of Ghana. Deputy High Commission of Canada, 4 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, P.O. Box 54506 Lagos, Nigeria. OR, The Visa Officer, High Commission Of Canada, Visa Section, P. O. Box 1639, 42 Independence Avenue, Accra Ghana. Email: ACCRAIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca |
adel3951:Lagos now process study permit? I haven't come across that. I only noticed the Kenya (Nairobi) office. |
Ratawu:Ratawu, Lagos does not process study permit. VFS office acknowledges/recieves documents while all correspondence are couriered to Accra Ghana, which after successful processing of applicant visa, it will then be transferred to their local VFS office for passport submission/pick up. But currently, I noticed that all correspondence are now treated at: High Commission of Canada, Visa Section, P.O. Box 1013, 00621 - Nairobi Kenya. www.kenya.gc.ca Stay safe! |
sweetmb4real200:sweetmb4real200, Sorry for the late response Sir/Ma. I have been busy lately. Don't be in a hurry to apply to a college for a PGD, your best sell here is to apply for a Masters degree that would be relevant to your previous studies/job role on the discipline of electrical engineering since you graduated from the University with a 2.1 than settling for a PGD in a college. My advise! |
seglius:seglius, You're continually doing the wrong thing. Change your intended program so it could be relevant to your previous studies/job role. So, your best bet here for your next application to scale through is to go for a Msc/Pgd on the discipline of chemical engineering. Lastly, order for your GCMS note and don't reapply blindly without showing concerns to your previous refused application. Use this link.... https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en All the best! |
kingfintan:kingfintan, Not just paying tuition fees, as it is not a prerequisite to Visa approval. Also provide documents to evident his source of income. Gainfully employed- provide his employment letters, payslips, promotion letters, increment letters, appointment letters etc.. Get documents to show proof of relationship with your brother... Like, Birth certificates and international passport bio data page. All the best! |
swisster:swisster Travel history should be the least of your problem. Tackle other refusal grounds and travel history will be waived. |
Gifty28:Gifty28 No they don't. Canadian institutions require a minimum of 2.1 for a masters degree. Well, few institutions consider your last 2 years grade in the University, so you should be looking out for such institution. |
xzile:The Visa Officer, High Commission Of Canada, Visa Section, P. O. Box 1639, 42 Independence Avenue, Accra Ghana. |
chibertha:chibertha, You pm me right? Check your email I have answered this question. For the sake of others, i'll answer it again on the forum. A company can decide to sponsor an applicant studies to Canada with convincing reasons to why the company is spending so much on the employee and what he/she has done to deserve such treatment/benefit from the said company and the number of years the employee has been working for the company matters a lot. A third party sponsorship must show proof of commitment towards financing an applicant studies in Canada, i.e either paying full tuition or transferring funds into applicant dorm/naira account. Since is the company that will be the sponsor to the applicant, they should present a board resolutions letter stating that they are fully aware of this sponsorship and funds will be made available to the applicant during his/her stay in Canada. So in this case you don't need a letter from the employer stating he/she is the sole signatory to the account. Since it's a company sponsorship. You need a sole signatory letter from the bank, only if the employer is the sponsor to the applicant. All the best! |
bbclue:bbclue, The length of your program has alot to do with your visa application. I best suggest you go for a 2 years PGD program in a college that is reasonable with your previous studies/job role than a year program in university. The reason why I said this, is because most applicants going for a short term program (a year) in Canada are most times tagged by a Visa officer that such applicant is not a genuine student that is using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada. I saw some folks here saying going for a PGD in college is always tough to acquire visa, this is totally a falsified belief and I must refute that fact. If you can package your application tightly and present a convincing SOP to support your application, your application will turn out to be successful. So, please don't be deceived with that misleading ideology. All the best! |
Jewel80:You need to upload your passport photographs there. |
Slik07:Slik07, Fall on us all my boss. Thank you so much. |
vibrant99:vibrant99, The Spokesman! Quite unimaginable, Have I discussed this before with you? Very interesting seeing someone speaking on my behalf with wrong information about me. All the same, keep up with the good job. |
jnyuwa02:jnyuwa02, Funny man.... I have not been around due to the tight engagement I'm having recently, but I'm back fully to contribute my quota for the betterment of this great platform. So the young man is still active and hasn't gone AWOL as you've just said. Nice job you're doing here. Keep up with the good works and success to each and everyone of us. All the best! |
Lemia:Lemia, Go ahead with the IMM5707E form, you're on the right track. No cause for alarm. |
Aallizzwellwole:Aallizzwellwole, Read previously, using the below link. https://www.nairaland.com/4390108/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/33#66255587 |
jnyuwa02:jnyuwa02, The form has been changed to IMM5707E for paper route applicants, so the fellow is still on the right track. |
annaliese88:annaliese88, You don't need to worry about this, the family form has been changed to IMM5707E no longer the usual IMM5654E. So you're expected to fill the IMM5707E for paper route which doesn't require you to input your siblings details. Online applicants still makes use of the old IMM5654E, with time it will be updated on the online portal. All the best! |
Hello All, I have been busy all this while with some running around and works to catch up, this has lead to my absence from the forum. Wow! Within this past few days the thread is at page 50. What's derailing it? Let me read up quickly..... Nice job to those assisting in helping out others here. I'm back fully |
jnyuwa02:jnyuwa02, Anyone as you say, can't be/stay in Canada, you must have a legal permit before you can stay in Canada. So as I said before, be it a citizenship, permanent residence, student or visitor not just ANYONE |
seyo99:seyo99, Use the below link to order for your GCMS Note. It goes for $5, but you will require someone who is a Permanent Residence of Canada, a citizenship , a Visitor, or a student that is legally residing in Canada to help order this note for you. You will need to input their address on the form, fill the form and resend it back to them to order the note on your behalf. Or better still, ask for the person's address over there in Canada, download the form and complete payment here in Nigeria. https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en |
omisyk:My boss! I remain loyal. Thank you Sir. |
Damidolly:Yes you can use your biological sister as a sponsor to your visa application. |
Prudento:Prudento, Your first year of study is what is required of you and not the 2 years duration of your stay. Tuition=? Room and board = 10kCAD Others = 3KCAD= Tuition + Room and board + others = Funds available for your stay. |
NobleA007:Thank you NobleA007. AyoPrudence:Thank you AyoPrudence. JoseJonn:You're not an exception JoseJonn, thank you for your great concern.
