Hello house, a friend of mine applied for a student permit and was placed as people who are inadmissible to canada, and the visa denied. Before she applied for the student visa her and her family had an existing temporary visit permit which they had not used. That is still valid and was not cancelled, can she still visit canada with her family with the visiting visa?
tyna4real,

What has your friend done to be placed as inadmissible to Canada?
The valid visiting visa she has, will be cancelled. Her profile to Canada has being banned too and can't travel into Canada until the stipulated time for the ban is elapsed.

Frankrobbn1, jnyuwa02,

I really appreciate the contribution from both of you..but since you guys have different opinion about the questions I think I'll just get the waec result and dom statement to be on a safe side...

Please I have another question regarding home ties.

My dad has a land without C of O I think I read on this forum sometime ago on how to sort that out using transfer of deed or something...please I really don't understand how that works..can you please enlighten me on how to tackle the C of O problem..

Thanks
faroouqq,

Many applicants has secured their TRV without adding Land C of O. If you don't have it, don't worry about it, add valuable documents to evident that this land is rightfully yours.
Yes! Get a lawyer to draft a deed of transfer between you and your father stating clearly that the said landed property is your inheritance and has been willed to you.
Also, try as much as possible to evaluate the landed property from a registered real estate agent, this let's the visa officer know the worth of the land/asset and equally include the land survey plan.

All the best!

Pls for my visa application, what and documents needs to be notarised. Or must all the documents I am going to submit for my TRV be notarised?
Kinfinity007,

Not all documents needs to be notarized. Documents that needs to be notarize are documents that does not bear an official signature or stamp. If any of your documents has this you don't need to notarize them. If it doesn't, then it needs to be notarized by a notary public.

Good evening people,

Please I have some questions. I was recently asked to submit my passport, what does this mean?
How long does it take to get a response and when will the passport be returned?
Jideola3,

To the bold.... When being asked to submit your passport for online route applicants, it's simply an APPROVAL. Congratulations!!!
You need to send your passport via courier to them or submit it in person to any of the VAC (Visa application Centre). You will have your passport returned back to you attached with a study permit counter foil within 7 working days.

Congrats once again!

Sorry sir for disturbing ,but am really nervous
Because under tuition section i put 12,000cad
and in the funds available for stay section I put 12,000cad instead of adding my tuition and my room and board for a year and that is 24,000 cad and putting it in funds available for stay

Though my parents have good SOA,(26m and 17m) the VO might think that 12,000 cad is the only funds available to me
Bieber78,

Sir! Wrongly filled applications, most especially on the section regarding funds availability are reasons for refusal based on insufficient funds. Because a Visa officer might be thinking this was the amount meant for your stay in Canada.

You should not bother much about this, just pray a visa officer overlooks this and realise that it wasn't intentional.

Oh! Yes, as said by jnyuwa02, some applicants filled funds available for their stay for the total duration of their stay in Canada and still got approved. This is because they showed funds in excess and their sponsor bank statement backed it up. But yours, reverse is the case, you filled just tuition fee as funds availability for your stay and left room and board and others blank.
You have submitted your application and this can't be changed.
Be hopeful and optimistic.

All the best.

Telling VO i will stay back for masters after PGD, will that look like am going to Canada to stay with no intention of coming back
omisyk,

I best advise you stick to your PGD and discuss how it will be of paramount benefit to your career back home and prospects in Nigeria, than telling a visa officer that after your studies, you will forge ahead for your masters degree in Canada. They will tag you as not a genuine student that will over stay their visa after studies.

Please face just your PGD and be silent about furthering for your masters. This is my advice.

Hi guys..

Happy Sunday..

1.My sponsor wants to transfer money from his domiciliary account to mine...his main account is with first bank where he also has other investments...so my question is do I also request for statement of account of his domiciliary account after collect the one for his main account??

2. Concerning the waec result to be submitted.. Do I go to my school to collect my waec result or I can submit the one I printed online

Thanks.
faroouqq,

Please add your sponsor dormicarly account statement, if he has funds there and let them know the origin of the funds. This shows the act of integrity to your application.

Also, endeavor to get your waec certificate from your secondary school as you will need them for your visa application not the online print out.

All the best!

jnyuwa02:

You do not need your sponsor's account.
Just a letter of support and declaration from him that he would be your sponsor and that he has already taken a step to transfer one year accommodation and living expenses in exportable form into your account.
Guy! Why are you talking as if is not you again? Why advising him not add his sponsor domicilary account statement to evident that the transfer of funds was truly from the sponsor account? It's more convincing if he submits both his statement and that of his sponsor statement, quote the date of transcation, and add transfer receipts. This adds more integrity to his application.

jnyuwa02:
Sorry I skipped the question. Yes you can include a print out. But if going for a masters or PGD, Waec result not necessary.
Why say WAEC Certificate is not necessary, but was stated on the Canada Visa instructions to include them. How do you now certify the visa officer that you graduated from high school?
Remember any past academic records, applicant must provide proof of accomplishment/certificate to them.

Good day every one, i also happen to be a silent reader but i have a question to ask. I received an email from dalhousie University yesterday afternoon telling me that due to some necessary courses missing in my transcript i have been recommended for a qualifying year admission in which i will do those missing courses in their uni then enroll for Msc proper the following year after passing those courses. Still awaiting the official offer letter though. My question now is, is this program recognized by the Canadian embassy and worthy of a study permit? I'm really scared guys. Would appreciate if any one can shed more light on this. Thank you
eerdesh,

Go and apply for your visa. Panic no more!! As there are many applicants that have secured their TRV with conditional offer of acceptance. Once you can show proof that the conditions on your acceptance into the University can be meet, you have nothing to worry about. If it is a pre-requisite courses that are relevant to your intended program and must be taken before your enrollment into your academic program, then such courses should be shortlisted on your acceptance letter for the visa officer to understand.

The funding includes tuition award($36k+) which covers the tuition fee for international stdnts for 8terms and a financial support of $17500 annually
jydorchem,

Go and apply for your visa. Preferably get a family member(father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunty) to stand as a sponsor to support your application. The balance of your personal account statement does not matter here... If you have 150k-200k above add it to your application and let your sponsor have like 4-5Million you will be fine. The essence of getting a family member as a sponsor is to show that you have family members that are doing well here in Nigeria.

But bro when filling the CIC forms I only saw tuition and funds available for stay
I put 12000 for tuition fees and under funds available for stay I put 12,000
Bieber78,

Tuition fee + Room and board + Others + extra 2kCAD(if you have)
= Funds available for your stay.

So indicating just 12,000CAD which is meant for your tuition fees as funds availability for your stay___ Is wrongly filled.
But never to worry, the Visa officer might think that it wasn't intentional. Most times, it's among the reason for refusing applicant application based on insufficient funds.
Be hopeful that the visa officer overlooks this.

Bad enough that the applicant accepted such offer knowing well that a second person is involved in same sponsorship. It's appalling the extent these agents go in their business while trying to make ends meet.

Why stand in as a sponsor for 2 persons when in real sense you won't avail the funds you have claimed to be available?

Since the application has been sent in already, we can only wait till things begin to play out. Hopefully, it isn't too much to bear.

Meanwhile, Great job you have been doing here bro, i salute you .

Some people are morally adamant, knowing fully the implications of such fraudulent act and still indulge themselves in sharp practices. At the end, they run to this forum seeking for solutions, while they are the architect to their problems.

OFFICIALAEL:
Good day house, my apology if this has been addressed before.
I did search previous pages of this forum to confirm my question but my search wasn’t fruitful. That is why I’m asking;
When filling the IMM1294 form under tuition, room and board, others and funds available to you. Do I insert the fee of one year for each column respectively or the fee for the entire course of the program.
My one year fee breakdown is
Tuition 10,221
Room &board 7000
Others 3000
Funds available to me for a year is 20,000
OFFICIALAEL,
You need to show proof of funds for your first year of studies not for the entire period of stay in Canada. So while filling the IMM form your tuition should be for your first year not for the whole program.
Room and board can be 10,000CAD, while others should be 2,000CAD......
Funds available for your stay in Canada should be the total amount of your tuition, room and board and others = Funds available for your stay.
But, I prefer adding 2KCAD extra to the funds available for my stay after adding up the above figure.
Be guided properly.

All the best!

Gurus in the hous again I am here asking for ur candid opinion. My gcsm file came in today and on the note it was stated in my account there was a recent lump sum deposits of unknown origin in my account based on the evidence provided. So I was refused TRV.
Based on this recent finding, I want to ask, is it advisable for my sponsor to move money directly to my account. Cos initial I was using a third party to move d money to my own account.
hurricanesgrace,

HOW TO ADDRESS LUMP SUM DEPOSIT INTO ACCOUNT FROM AN UNKNOWN SOURCE

Lump sum deposits are funds that are never in existence in an account statement, and are perceived by the Visa officer as borrowed money into an applicant/sponsor account just to acquire their TRV.

Firstly, in your next application try as much as possible to draft a separate letter of explanation, indicating the source of the lump sum and stating how you have addressed it e.g was the funds gotten from business investments/sells, sold landed property/buildings, rented apartments___Provide little explanation to this and transcation reciepts to support your claims about the origin of the money.

Secondly, Pay up your first year tuition fee out of the account the lump sump was noticed to show that funds is actually meant for your study and let sponsor transfer living expenses into your personal naira/dorm account.

Thirdly, Provide an updated letter of sponsorship stating the origin of the lump sum deposit and what the sponsor has done afterwards as fresh evidence and financial commitment after the first delay (i.e paying up the balance of your tuition and transferring funds to your personal naira/dorm account). In addition let your sponsor get a reference letter to back this up.

Lastly, endeavor to construct a financial table chart on your LOE/SOP showing clearly your tuition fees, Room and board, others and estimate on how the total funds available to you will be spent.

The above is how to tackle lump sum deposit.

All the best!

Hi,

I am not a visa officer, but let me break something down for you.

Your same agent, must have used that same company account for some other applicants, even if this worked in the past, it can not keep working.

Also, a company needs a convincing reason to want to sponsor you. You should have looked for a suitable person who can stand in as a sponsor or just go as a self sponsored student if youre buoyant enough.

like i said, i am not a visa officer, so just hope for the best. The deed has been done. Nothing you do now, will change the outcome.

Best wishes
Cc: Bieber78. The above bolded by WEIRDPC is true.

Bieber78:
Guys pls I have question

Me and my friend applied through a agent I submitted my application yesterday and my friend applied today

We used both used thesame agent and we both have little amount in our account so our agent used his company account as our third party sponsor

Now my question is can the embassy find out me and my friend used thesame sponsor ( although I submitted my application yesterday and my friend submitted today)

And if they find out can we be refused?
Bieber78

It doesn't matter the date both of you submitted your application, how sure are you that your agent didn't give out same account statement to prospective applicants/clients.

Flash back my post on March 15.

"That's what most agent do, there are particular bank statements they use for visa application, most especially when the applicant family are not buoyant enough to stand up as a sponsor to them. So, They use this bank statement and other fraudulent documents as the sponsor to the applicant"

From the rubric,i found that they submitted the same financial statement and sponsor documents to different applicants, so the information collides with other applicants applications with them, together with fraudulent employment establishment of the applicant sponsor and was asked by the Visa officer to explain his case for misrepresentation, the agent then lied that it was the applicant that submitted this application, that there was no agent involved

Await the outcome of your applications.

All the best!

Hello everyone. I am considering using the same upfront medicals I used in my last application in June 2017. Medical report is valid for 1year right? I plan to reapply early next month April. Do you advise I do another medicals or use same one?

Also I cant find the medical slip and I need the UMI number for the hospital to issue another report. Is there somewhere I can check to retrieve this UMI number?
annaliese88,

You don't need to undergo any medicals again, it's still valid. Use the same E-medical slip issued to you by the hospital.
But since you said the medical slip is no where to be found, you have to call the hospital where you carried out the medical test, give them relevant details about you.. Like the date of the previous medicals, your full name, and passport no(if required) and let them resend the medical slip to your email. There might be an administrative fee for this.

Do you mean a 2 year dipolma program? This is a red flag, you should have opted out for a bachelor's degree in same discipline than an ordinary dipolma program in Canada, a visa officer wants to see progression on your academic pursuit

You should have given him/her chance to contribute their quota to this great forum. What the moniker has got to offer is very important. That was the essence of having this forum. @Justwise

While i understand that you have to apply strict measures as to how and who use the forum, i still suggest you accommodate people that can give or have given very vital and accurate information.

All we should do is to look out for how they avail this information while also mentioning that folks should apply caution in who ever they get involved with.

To be very honest with you, whether @Visaofficer1 or @Visaofficer0 is actually a visa officer or not, the quality of responses given today is typical of a knowledgeable person that might just be of tremendous help here. I noticed you deleted all his posts including the response to your question of him being a visa officer. Those information honestly are some of the most accurate i have seen on this thread in a long while.

If i were you, i would have observed the moniker closely, observe how he/she interacts here or better still confirm from sources of his indulgence.( i noticed he even mentioned his name and where you can source about him) while also pointing it out clearly that people should be lerry of who and how the indulge with people they meet on here. Anybody can claim anything but what is more vital is the information given here and how they are presented. It quite unfortunate you didn't give him and members here a chance to get to see how he interacts with the knowledge he has.

Disclaimer: i do not know@visaofficer1/visaofficer0
But i see much sense in his posts.
Austinpee4,

I agree on this, because the moniker by name visaofficer1 answers to queries are perfectly correct, most especially on the guy given 15 days ultimatum to provide a new bank statement and a letter from the bank attesting the genuinety of the bank statement, the guidelines given to the applicant is enough reason to show that the moniker visaofficer1 is an advanced person in immigration matters to Canada. I think, we need such an individual here, that will proffer perfect answers that will aid prospective applicants their study visa approval.
I noticed he was banned twice by Justwise, which made him came back with another moniker Visaofficer0 . That wasn't too good.

@Justwise , I crave your indulgence to look into that moniker and find a way to take off the ban you gave to him. We need such intelligent people here. Perfect answers with possible solutions.
