Thanks very much for your reply, please i hope if i can tackle all this five issues correctly , i would be handed the visa? especially the no 2? Because i am afraid when you said my chances are extremely slim. What is your advice. i will apply alone just like you said and tackle the issues raised by VO. nut what are my chances after this? thanks
oyeleye900,
Going for undergraduate program at 31yrs of age needs a convincing SOP. It would have been better if you had presented your first degree certificate on your previous refused application and then go for masters degree or PGD depending on your CGPA. But since you didn't declare your degree at the first place, then you need to work on your study gaps, explain to the visa officer what you have been doing since you last left school. Why haven't you enrolled into a degree or training program.

Thanks for your responses

Hello Family,

So i heard that in recent times, if you wish to apply for Permanent Residence after graduation from an institution in Canada and despite having a Post-Graduate Work Permit (plus the required years for eligibility), you will have to return to Nigeria.

Can Someone please confirm or rebut this information?

Thank you so much
Chelda,
It's not true sir/Ma! you don't need to come back to Nigeria.

Omoarukheo:
Hi guys,

i am about to submit my application, my sponsor is my dad and the balance of all his bank statements put together is about 500k

he has invested in treasury bills which would be liquidated in june 2018 worth about 4.5m, he has contribution with his cooperative society worth about 4.4m, he has printed his pension statement with 7.8m though hes just in his 50's and not due for retirement yet, he has also given me his dorm account statement of 7.6k dollars.

his cooperative society has issued a letter and i have the treasury bills certificate, How do i explain all of this so i do not end up being slammed with insufficient funds and do you think my funds are enough

N.B tuition is 32k for the whole program, first year is 17k and i have paid 6k as deposit, my dad has 3 dependents and they are all in school

Thanks for your favorable response
Omoarukheo:
Cc frankrobben1
Omoarukheo,

You don't need to worry about insufficient funds, your dad financial establishment is very strong to settle for your bills in Canada. For the visa officer not to misunderstand your financial aid. You need to clarify them that your dad 500k bank statement is not the primary proof of funds to your studies in Canada, as there are other source of his income, which are easily accesible to you.
Thus, you have to present a well refurbished letter of sponsorship declaring all his financial worth and provide supporting documents to evident this fact:
Submit the treasury bills certificate, Your dad 500k bank statement, his cooperative society worth, pension statements, his dorm account statement and your tuition receipt Let it be known to them that funds will be made available for your studies in Canada through this financial documents. I believe this should handle insufficient funds.

Please feel free to ask questions, if the above isn't sufficient enough.

please i will like to ask the following question concerning my canada visa application
i and my wife applied on Feb 1, 2018 and was refused on March 1, 2018. i applied with student visa and my wife Temporary residence visa.
my wife was refused based on the travel history and insufficient funds.
i was refused based on insufficient fund, relationship between the sponsor and me, employment and academic history, travel history.
the program starts by may 1,2018. i am 31 years old , i applied for b.art and i have paid for acceptance and out of the first year tuition fees of which i submitted.
i submitted the following documents:
Sponsorship letter
my business letter
bank statements of me, wife and sponsor
waec results.
now, to my question i want to reapply by next week but i need advice , this time around i want to reapply for just only me and my wife will apply later in the year.
concerning the sponsor's account when i calculated the money , the truth is the money is not enough indeed, but she has promised to add to it to make it enough so that solves insufficient account
1-) but how do i convince the V.O that she is my blood sister but she is married now andso her mind has changed?
how do i convince the VO that i will come back after4 years
2-) I have done a degree here before , i was advised not to put it there before, should i put it now?. Don't dare it
3-) I am in to computer art that is why i want to go and do B.art, how do i convince the V.O that i am really interested in the course?
4-) what are the other evidences to show i am into computer art business?
5-) what are those things i can put to the gap of those years?
Please advice your brother? thanks
oyeleye900,

On behalf of this great forum, we say we are deeply sorry about the outcome of your application.

Sir! Sorry to say but your chances of securing study visa is extremely slim. What have you been doing since you last left school? Even If you pay up your full tuition and your sponsor has a good balance left has not in away solved the issue.
I have said this countless times on this thread, applicants should not be in a hurry to reapply, always address the concerns of the visa officer first before re-applying by ordering for your GCMS NOTE - https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=et
Sir! I bet you, if you should reapply without addressing the concerns of the visa officer about your previous refused application, you will be denied again with the same reason.
1-) You can show proof of relationship with your sister by adding documents like:
i-) Birth certificate.
ii-) Newspaper change of name.
iii-) Marriage certificate.

2-) To convince a Visa officer that you are a bona-fide student and will return after your studies in Canada, you have to establish strong ties to your home country, your prospects back home, investments/assests/landed property etc... Again, I advise you apply alone, while your wife(spouse) serve as a tie to you.
What made you not to indicate that you're a graduate? Don't dare to add such certificates to your application (if not you will be charged for misrepresentation) and do you know what comes after this..... A five(5) years ban. Please whatsoever information you have filled on your IMM study permit app form should not be altered, as it has already been stored on CIC database. That is the essence of asking you to validate your application form and generate a barcode. So, stay clear and continue with what you have started.

The rest 3,4 and 5 questions___ You should know better than we do.

All the best!

Engaged as the word goes is not a tie to your home country, in as much as in the nearest future you might decide not to marry him/her. So get married and present your marriage certificate as it is more regarded by cic.

good afternoon guys, i really appreciate the effort of everyone in dis forum.

please i want to ask, do any1 hav idea if the V.O really confirm the amount of money is the students or sponsors account. because my dad transferred sum amount of money to my account, when i printed my statement of account, the money in my account is abt 6.6mil as closing balance.
after paying school fees and doing sum oda transaction am left with 1.3 mil.
so i went to my bank and ask the staff if Visa Officers check account balance of applicants, they said no, all the V.O does,is to confirm if the SOA is genuine, because VO don't hav right to check costomer acct balance .

so guys do they really check it?

Please I need clarifications on this; My program Start date is Sept 2018 and Completion date is Sept 2023 as written on my acceptance letter. House what do you advise I input when filling my Study questionnaire on study duration. Stating 5yrs isn't logical, the program fast track is 1 year, but normal time is 2years . Max time is 5years they indicated. Already my study leave letter/notice from work carries a year and shall become active when Im ready to leave.

Also is it true that I cannot add any pictures to my application ... my awards plaque and my parents marriage pic in lieu of certificate ? However both re printed in colored on A4 paper

Please someone with adequate info should help me out on this.
alftdbts

Indicate 2 years program on your study permit IMM form and questionnaire. Provide explanations on your SOP.
Also ask your employer to change the study leave approval for 2 years.
Those that submitted their application december/january complained that VFS workers refused them from submitting pictures. So, if this pictures are very important to you and you feel it will play a vital role on your visa application. Go with the printed coloured copy of the image to VFS and confirm if they will accept it.

What was your job role in the said company where you work? Is it in inlight with your intended program (International Business).
When did you start working for this company?
Did you submit an SOP clearly stating your intent to study?
Did you table a letter of employment, introductory letters, payslips, study leave letters, your personal bank statements to evident the fact that you're gainfully employed?
Why PGD instead of masters having that you have a good cgpa 2.1, that can yield you a masters degree (This is where you Disqualified your self from not being a genuine/bonafide student)

Please answer the above few questions before I proceed.

The bolded is okay to show proof of relationship with maternal uncle, to clear all doubts of the visa officer try provide previous/past financal support from your uncle i.e payment of tuition fees in the past, transfers of funds from your uncle account to yours in the past Add your uncle birth certificates too and his int'l passport bio data page.

You can add your mom church marriage certificate is okay.

I won't help you falsify a claim. If your uncle is really sponsoring you, the reason should come effortlessly on why he wants to expend so much financial resources on you. One applicant I know who got approved and sponsored by uncle, was believable because there was evidence of past academic support coming from the same uncle, the uncle mentioned he has noticed academic promise in this person and taken a liking for him like his own very child and wants to support him where his parents are not financially buoyant to do so. The uncle believes in his future promise and wants to support such promise .

If the one in your possession is dully signed and stamped by the university, you only need to collect a university envelope and send it directly to the school, using your university name as the sender via courier.

OR,

Order for your official transcripts from your university, make sure it's enclosed in a sealed university envelope, dully signed and stamped by the exams and records, send it directly yourself using your university name as the sender.

Good day everyone and to the gurus in the house I greet you all, nice job!
Plz I have some questions and advice.
I applied for study visa last year and was denied and I think is because of course missmatch though what they marked on my refusal letter was Purpose of visit, Personal asset and financial status, enployment prospect and current employment situation.
ok now I want to apply again for admission and then TRV.
I studied economics with 2;2 (2.67cgpa)
Graduated in 2011
Serverd 2012 -2013
Worked as a document controller from 2014 - present
Now,
1) I dont know the best course suitable for my degree and work experince that wouldnt be a problem
2) which degree should i go for considering the fact that getting admission for masters with my gpa in canada is hard
plz what is my best short here at securing visa.
plz I need y'all advice, I want to do it right this time. Thank you.

PS; do VOs go through your old application incase u make changes(eg, incase there is a change in ur employment and ref letters as in your job description)
Cboss,

To your first question direct it to www.google.com, they will advise you what course is relevant to Economics and it's job role.

To your second question____PGD is the way for you here since you graduated with 2.2, You might be lucky to secure a masters degree if you have 5-6 years working experience on your intended discipline. Also, there are no best short in securing visa, it all depends on how you package your application. Do the right thing by reading previously the past thread 13.

To the last bolded.... Please don't alter anything, you may decide to add some points which you think you didn't include on your previous refused application, but don't alter your JOB ROLE you filled on the IMM form, as this has already been saved on their database.

Lastly, order for your GCMS Note, as it will further give clarification on what went wrong on your application.

Dear People in the house,

Few questions,
My EE score is low and was considering a PG Certificate in as a route to immigration. I am 39 with a background in Finance will my Student Visa application be denied based on the fact I had entered into the EE Pool and my age?
megapixels,
In as much as you have an active EE profile, you need to certify that visa officer that you will respect the laws guiding a study permit application (TRV) i.e you're a bona-fide student and will depart at the end of your authorized stay in Canada. Then the EE won't be a problem here.

Age shouldn't be an issue too, if you can provide your study gaps and explain convinincly what you have been doing since you last left school, did you undergo any training are such, provide proof to your claims and you will be fine.

Actually it's an account my sponsor saves money in. There's a deposit of 4 million that has been there since November last year. The 600k came in recently in two bits of 300k each from different people.

So do you think it qualifies as lump sum deposit?
Lemia,
If there have been traces of inflow and outflow of the said amount of money on the bank statement before, this is not a lump sum deposit.
Lump sum is when funds that haven't been in existence/seen in an account statement before, came in all of a sudden towards the time of visa application.

Hello guys.

If my sponsor is my uncle will his birth certificate and my mum's birth certificate (the same surname) and a copy of my mum's international passport data page (with my surname) suffice as proof of relationship.

Also, since my uncle is my sponsor, is it necessary to add my dad's land documents..

Finally, he wrote in his LOS that the reason sponsoring me is cos " I have shown a great sense of duty throughout my educational career and I have great motive for research and innovation" please is this reason solid enough to convince the VO..

Thanks for always responding guys...
faroouqq,

The bolded is okay to show proof of relationship, also remember to add your sponsor int'l passport bio data page, if possible get your mom marriage certificate to evident that they both once shared the same family name.

Yes add your family landed property as this will serve as a strong tie to you than your uncle property. Make sure you get a letter from a lawyer showing a deed of transfer between you and your parents showing clearly that the landed is part of your inheritance from them. This should go best!

Find a compelling reasons to why he is spending so much on you, using only the bolded isn't convincing enough and what he stands to gain/get from this sponsorship.

Most applicants don't need that stress of going through visa application, some believe that the Visa process is something tough that they can't do by themselves. So, they hire an agent to do the running around and of which they don't know the progress of their visa application. And of course yes! A GCMS NOTE - Is a note that gives the factual reason to why a visa officer refused your application.

Use the below link to order for your GCMS Note. It goes for $5, but you will need a Permanent Residence of Canada, a citizenship , a Visitor, or a student who is legally residing in Canada to help order for this note. As it will require inputing their address on the form, filling the form and resending it back to them to order the note on your behalf.

Or better still, ask for the person's address over there in Canada, download the form and complete payment here in Nigeria.

That's what most agent do, there are particular bank statements they use for visa application, most especially when the applicant family are not buoyant enough to stand up as a sponsor to them. So, They use this bank statement and other fraudulent documents as the sponsor to the applicant.

Ivan12,
Even at that, he will still get the 5 years ban. For saying "NO" on the study permit questionnaire that he didn't use an agent is part of misrepresentation. From the rubric,i found that they submitted the same financial statement and sponsor documents to different applicants, so the information collides with other applicants applications with them, together with fraudulent employment establishment of the applicant sponsor and was asked by the Visa officer to explain his case for mispresentation, the agent then lied that it was the applicant that submitted this application, that there was no agent involved. The applicant in question won't know about this, I believe the so called AGENT, will hid this from him(applicant). Very sad story!!!

If funds will be accessible to you in the time of need there is no problem with this. Add all documentations to support this fact!

Are you a self sponsored applicant? If yes!, you should also consider the cost of your tuition and living expenses in Canada, can the funds in your FD cater for all your needs? If funds in your FD can't settle for all this and you're self sponsored, I advise you get a sponsor to support your application.
