Welcome back Frank, now my job would be made earsier thank God!! I hope moving forward you keep to the most ethical standard and God will reward you. I just want to confirm one thing, have you really gotten your visa and still sticking around to help? That would really be the very definition of selflessness of you and worthy of emulation. I know sometime back you shared that you were denied. Did you now succeed in getting it and there was never a mentioning of your success to the house? Mighty congrats and welcome back!!
Thank you jnyuwa02, I'm yet to secure my TRV Bro. I'm still on the process, believing God for a positive outcome this time.

Thank you very much Sir,
I get your message about the SAT but if I may ask how then can I handle the gap of my last refusal till date...since am not gonna reveal my HND or present any any result of a recently taken examination
Kemdy97,

If you follow my advise and get a new acceptance letter (BSc computer Science) that is directly relevant to your previous studies/job role as a computer operator the better for you.
I don't know how to address your study gaps for you, as you should know what you've been doing all this while. As I said previously, if SAT will be the best option to cover your study gaps fine. But I don't see reasons saying you're preparing for SAT exams for 12 months.

Guys in my admission letter( acceptance letter). from Manitoba university undergraduate . the school only wrote the tuition fee for one year they did not write fees for room and board

In my study permit form I have already submitted ,under room and board section I did not put any money under room and board because it wasn't in my admission letter . but under funds available for stay I put slightly above the money required by CIC (10k and above). Did i make a mistake?
Bieber78,

If I understand your question clearly, you said your undergraduate tuition was only specified on your LOA, while room and board wasn't indicated, but you filled just your tuition and left room and board and others blank, while funds available to you, you indicated just 10KCAD.

Most schools don't indicate funds for room and board. But as stated by CIC, applicants must show funds for tuition and living expenses of 10,000CAD for their first year of studies in Canada and must certify that funds will be made available for the subsequent years.

In your case now, you're expected to fill TUITION + ROOM AND BOARD + OTHERS = FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR STAY.
Leaving room and board + others doesn't make sense and Indicating just 10KCAD as funds availability for your first year is wrongly filled, Its safe to show funds in excess than below the range of your expenses in Canada. Your sponsor Bank statement will suffice and I hope the visa officer will overlook this.

All the best!

Thank you very much sir ..i really appreaciate the effort in replying me

I will put a call across to him immediately to find that out

Talking about the SAT..this is the only thing I can use to cover up the period of 1 year that I HV actually not done anything presentable.. I recently Got my HND admission and u know I can't disclose that....what do u think
Kemdy97,

Ask your self does SAT take one year to be completed? Applicants prepare for their SAT exams within a month and come out with good grades. Why is yours taking 12 months to be completed? If you believe that the SAT has alot to do with your application, you can go ahead. But I don't see reasons with it since school/embassy don't require it. Its left for you, if you decide to use it as a way to address your study gaps. Fine!!!!

Also, there is no need adding your HND admission, as the Visa officer will question why you never wanted to finish up your studies here in Nigeria and go for a higher studies in Canada (PGD) in future. So be silent about it.

Thank you very much Sir, I will be able to confirm that sir when I get my GCMS note bkos currently the man is not replying me.

But what do u think..I never received the mails from CIC or had anything to do with my application.. I only signed on d part where required in d form on the very day we met at VFS for submission and capturing..ever since then everything came from him till my refusal letter

The white Lady assured me of no complications as she even advised I include that I attended the program edu-canada as well as state I was advised by her
Kemdy97,

Even on your GCMS Note it won't be stated whether you used an agent or not. The gcms notes will only carry the details regarding your previous refused application and the factual reason for your visa refusal.
It might be that your agent did not include your email on your application form, that's why you did not receive any correspondence from the embassy or maybe he filled the representative form.
Bro! White lady or no white lady, if your agent did not disclose that he was an agent on your previous app or failed to fill the representative form, I don't know how you will defend this.
Call your agent and confirm from him! It's your right and he should oblige to it.

What i did in FCMB is directly inclined to computer..but how can i introduce as an internship job..withiut the revealing if my OND...u cant go for IT without an IT letter from the school na

i was able to attend the past Edu-canada fair at eko hotel where i was able to speak with one of the cic boss a Canadian Lady and she advised that i come out plane stating to have been wrongly advised by an agent ....beside we all know in nigeria delay is inevitable...and itz very possibke that u finished school earlier and ur certs shows up much latter pending on instutuion though...
Kemdy97,
It's true, you can't go for IT without a letter from an institution. If this will contradict the information you provided before, do away with it.

The above bolded can be understandable if your agent used a representative form on your previous application, then you can defend the fact that your application was wrongly filled by an agent and you will win the case. But if the agent applied without indicating/filling a representative form or declaring he was an agent, then I don't see you wining this case. Confirm from your agent if he disclosed the fact that he was an agent.

Hello house, A very big thanks to all the gurus that have been pumping ideas into the forum...

Am 20.... have an OND in build tech... already gotten admission for BSC civil engineering.. At this point I want the house to address my few questions as I am in a state of confusion and disdain..I don't want to waste my admission again

I was denied last year...and I think the agent has a lot to do with my denial as he advised me not to disclose my OND cert since I was going for a BSC and he advised i state that i used my computer cert in getting an employment letter from a law firm to cover up a period of 1yr and 6 months gap which I just realise has complicated my issue since I am reapplying myself this Time.

These are my 3 questions
1).How can I bring up my OND cert in building tech?which is in line with what I wanna study ..BSC Civil Eng ..
can I say it was unavailable by the school as at my last application hence I was wrongly advised by the agent not to disclose it?

2)..How do I bring up my 1 year internship with FCMB?whch ended April 2017, that it won't clash with the already claimed computer operator job at d law firm.. Can I say the job was partime and majorly weekend while i was undergoing my OND program?? since the owner was dad's friend and family lawyer..whereas I have my offer and completion letter from FCMB even prove of monthly stipend if required

3)...my school didnt request for any of the international exams but but i I intend applying for SAT which has boths maths and English subject to show how geniue I am and how academically aticve I HV been..Do u consider it sensible??

I am still awaiting my GCMS note but issues ticked on my refusal letter was
..purpose of stay/visit
..Duration of stay
..personal asset
..current employment status

Please I need ur advise on this as I am suffering from the consequences of using a bad agents..Thanks
Kemdy97,

I'll advise you as a friend and a brother. Don't include any certificate that weren't on your previous refused application. Most especially, if the date of completion from the polytechnic (OND certification) is above your previous refused application.... What do I mean? I'm simply saying if you graduated from polytechnic let say Dec 2016 and your previous refused application was August 2017, don't try to include it. Continue with what you have started.

If you have a dipolma certification in computer and have been working as a computer operator in a law firm, I best advise you stick to it and apply for bachelor's degree in computer science and forget about the civil engineering. This alone will show academic/career progression.

Don't try to maneuver your next application as it will turn around to bite you, any information you already filled on the IMM form has a barcode which CIC have used to store your information on their database, any alterations will be declared as misrepresentation, that was the essence of asking you to validate and generate a barcode

If the FCMB internship is not relevant to computer... Forget it.
You're still within the age bracket for undergraduate studies, so don't panic. Go and secure a new admission on the discipline of computer sciences.

To your last question (3) It's of no use writing SAT since your school don't require that for admission.

The above is my advise Sir! I'm 95.9% sure if you stick to it and change your program. Your next application purpose of visit, current employment situation etc.. Will be waived.

All the best!

QUEENBIZ:
Thank & God bless for the response. Conestoga has a PGD program that match my previous program and it is a year duration but I read on this platform about visa denial for PGD program except it’s 2 years. What’s your opinion on this?
QUEENBIZ,

Certainly, A year program for PGD is always tough to scale through, but I never said its impossible. You must therefore, put up a convincing facts and a rational explanation (SOP) clearly pointing at :
1-) Why you're going for a year program in Canada.
2-) Why you're spending so much on a year program since you can undergo it here in Nigeria.
3-) Why can't you undertake this program here in Nigeria.
4-) You should also state the benefits of undertaking a foreign education and how it will be of paramount benefit to your career prospects back home and to your nation at large.
5-) Your hometies

Why I'm saying all this? This is because, due to the recent denials and Gcms notes I have seen, I noticed that applicants that are going for a year program in Canada is believed by a Visa officer that they are not a bona-fide student, and are using study permit as a means to facilitate relocation into Canada and won't leave after their authorized stay. So you should be skeptical about this and defend this fact, that you're truly a genuine student and have strong ties to Nigeria, with strong career prospects/benefits back home.

All the best!

@Frankrobbn1

I Guru, I am a newbie on this thread but after reading some of you comments, I realise you could be of good help to me. I have a B.Sc in Social Work and Community Development with 2:1 and I applied for a PGD in a related Field. I Got an Offer Letter last week for the 12 month program which cost less than $3000 CAD, however the living expenses and accommodation for the duration cost almost $13,000CAD.

I am planning to submit my application before the mid of April but I my having problems concerning sponsorship based on what I have been reading here. Though I have roughly 2M in my account and presently talking to 2 sponsors. The first one is my dad's friend who is buoyant also a Chairman of a reputable company and ready foot my bills and as well give one of his personal personal account worth over 15M and his company's CAC while the second sponsor is my paternal Uncle and also a Director in Federal ministry. He offered to give me his salary account with an available balance of 2.5M. Not forgetting the fact that I am married with a kid but I am less than 30years.

My question are below:
1. Can I use 2 sponsors ?
2. Since I dont have a family tide with the first sponsor, what can I do to convince the VO?
3. What else should my Second sponsor provide to prove our family tide?
4. Would my wife and kid be enough prove for family tide?
Dolarman,

Welcome to the forum.
Answer 1-) You can use two sponsors for your visa application, one as the main sponsor and the other as a co-sponsor. Each of them must show commitment towards financing your studies in Canada i.e either by paying tuition or transferring funds into your personal/dorm account.

Answer 2-) Since you don't have proof of relationship with your first sponsor, you can as well provide proof of previous financial support from him in the past, maybe like payment of tuition in the past, transfers of funds b/w both accounts in the past to show a trace of his previous support to you. If you're unable to get the above mentioned. Get him to pay for tuition fee and provide proof of tuition receipts. Lastly, both sponsors should present a rational letter of support stating why they are sponsoring you since it's a third party sponsor and it will be cheaper for them in Nigeria, what you have done to receive such offer from them, the number of dependants they have and must certify the visa officer that while financing your studies in Canada all financial obligations must be meet, i.e sponsporing you won't tend to be a burden to their personal life, business and immediate family, what they stand to gain in this sponsporship should be emphasized on their letters of support.

3-) To your paternal uncle, you can add both your father birth certificates and your uncle birth certificate to evident that they both are from the same family and are biological brothers.

4-) Your spouse and kids are strong and credible ties to your application, as you can't afford to leave them without coming back to Nigeria after your studies. So, Declare your marriage certificate and kids birth certificates.

Finally, a year program for PGD is always tough to scale through, but never said its impossible. You must therefore, put up a convincing facts to why you're going for a year program in Canada. Why can't you undertake this program here in Nigeria, let them know the benefits of undertaking a foreign education and how it will be of paramount benefit to your career prospects back home and to your nation at large.
Why are you spending so much on 1 year, since you can undergo it here in Nigeria.

Why I'm saying all this? This is because, due to the recent denials and Gcms notes I have seen, I noticed that applicants that are going for a year program in Canada is believed by a Visa officer that most applicants are not a bona-fide student, and they are using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada and won't leave after their authorized stay. So you should be skeptical about this and defend this fact, that you're truly a genuine student and have strong ties to Nigeria (your spouse and kids), with strong career prospects/benefits back home.

As for the 2M in your personal statement, add it up to your application in support of your application.

Finally, I advise you apply for a 2 year masters degree that is relevant to your previous studies/job role, since you have a good cgpa 2.1

All the best!

Don't rely only on the info you saw/get on the some blogs on the net, as most of those info's are posted far back ago. So it's advisable you go through the school webpage and know the exact fee for a particular program and it's requirements.

I’m preparing to submit my visa application & want to be sure if I’m on the right track.
QUEENBIZ,

It would be best to show a visa officer that there is a logical progression between your intended program and previous studies/job role. This can also be further proved if you're going for something higher than your previous academic level.
What do i mean by this, Having an HND certification and going to Canada for a bachelor's degree does not in any way show progression. It's more convincing to go for a PGD on your discipline and not a BSc degree, even if you secured the admission with your HND certificate and transcripts. Go for a PGD that is higher than a bachelor's degree. I advise based on my experience, many have done it and end up getting refused.

I hope this answers your question.

My bosses in the house, I greet you. Please I want to do my PGD in Canada and the agent I contacted is telling me that tuition fee is 3.5m, admission fee is 100k while visa process is 200k. I want to go for public administration and looking at the total package from a low cost point of view please advise me on the university to enrol with and how best to cut cost. Thanks in anticipation.
princetunex,

You don't need to pay 100k to get PGD admission in Canada and visa processing fee cost 56k for paper route and 65-68k for online route. So, save the 200k meant for the visa process(as said by your agent) and go through the stress yourself by reading through the previous past thread 13 and asking questions. As for the tuition 3.5M check the school of your choice webpage, it will be clearly stated there.

Also, explore to below schools, they are quite cheaper and admission process is easier to get.

1-) Algonquin college
2-) Durham college
3-) Seneca college
4-) Holland college PEI
5-) Conestoga College
6-) Nova Scotia community college
