opylas:Thank you! Thank you!! Brother |
jnyuwa02:Thank you jnyuwa02, I'm yet to secure my TRV Bro. I'm still on the process, believing God for a positive outcome this time. |
opendurs:Happy Easter to you opendurs, I haven't come across this moniker on this thread. You speak so good of me, thank you very much for your kind words. I appreciate alot. God bless you Sir/Ma. |
OriEyeLe:God bless you my brother. Thank you for your concern. May this Easter feast favour us all. Amen! |
It's nice to be here again. I want to use this medium to express my profound gratitude to all my fans, friends, well wishers, brothers and sisters on this reputable thread who in one way or the other has shown concern on my behalf during my absence and to those who never did, I say thank you too. God bless us all. I pray and believe that my return to this great forum will be to offer my new concepts, a fresh mindset and a brand-new perspective. And as we celebrate the feast of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I pray that God in his infinite mercy will grant each and every one of us our heart desires, and to the TRV hopefuls may this feast favour us all. Amen! To the Grand boss Justwise, I greet you. I'm privilege to be here again because you've given me the chance. My warm greetings goes to you. Thank you! Thank you all! |
kemdy97:Kemdy97, If you follow my advise and get a new acceptance letter (BSc computer Science) that is directly relevant to your previous studies/job role as a computer operator the better for you. I don't know how to address your study gaps for you, as you should know what you've been doing all this while. As I said previously, if SAT will be the best option to cover your study gaps fine. But I don't see reasons saying you're preparing for SAT exams for 12 months. |
Flawlessheyi: OriEyeLe:Cc:Flawlessheyi, your query has been answered. |
giga02:giga02 How old are you? And can you account for your study gaps?.... If you're within the age bracket for an undergraduate studies and you can account for your study gaps... You have no problem. |
Josh1996:Josh1996 My boss! i'm sorry this came at the wrong time, I'm having a tight schedule right now. You can transfer it to my chiefs in the house to help review them. I'm very sorry for any inconveniences this might cause you. Thanks for your understanding. |
Biakwa:Order for your GCMS Note. This might be a lump sum deposit or insufficient funds from your sponsor account. |
honeyscottage:Read previously! https://www.nairaland.com/4390108/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/33#66255587 |
Bieber78:Bieber78, If I understand your question clearly, you said your undergraduate tuition was only specified on your LOA, while room and board wasn't indicated, but you filled just your tuition and left room and board and others blank, while funds available to you, you indicated just 10KCAD. Most schools don't indicate funds for room and board. But as stated by CIC, applicants must show funds for tuition and living expenses of 10,000CAD for their first year of studies in Canada and must certify that funds will be made available for the subsequent years. In your case now, you're expected to fill TUITION + ROOM AND BOARD + OTHERS = FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR STAY. Leaving room and board + others doesn't make sense and Indicating just 10KCAD as funds availability for your first year is wrongly filled, Its safe to show funds in excess than below the range of your expenses in Canada. Your sponsor Bank statement will suffice and I hope the visa officer will overlook this. All the best! |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, Ask your self does SAT take one year to be completed? Applicants prepare for their SAT exams within a month and come out with good grades. Why is yours taking 12 months to be completed? If you believe that the SAT has alot to do with your application, you can go ahead. But I don't see reasons with it since school/embassy don't require it. Its left for you, if you decide to use it as a way to address your study gaps. Fine!!!! Also, there is no need adding your HND admission, as the Visa officer will question why you never wanted to finish up your studies here in Nigeria and go for a higher studies in Canada (PGD) in future. So be silent about it. |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, Even on your GCMS Note it won't be stated whether you used an agent or not. The gcms notes will only carry the details regarding your previous refused application and the factual reason for your visa refusal. It might be that your agent did not include your email on your application form, that's why you did not receive any correspondence from the embassy or maybe he filled the representative form. Bro! White lady or no white lady, if your agent did not disclose that he was an agent on your previous app or failed to fill the representative form, I don't know how you will defend this. Call your agent and confirm from him! It's your right and he should oblige to it. |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, It's true, you can't go for IT without a letter from an institution. If this will contradict the information you provided before, do away with it. The above bolded can be understandable if your agent used a representative form on your previous application, then you can defend the fact that your application was wrongly filled by an agent and you will win the case. But if the agent applied without indicating/filling a representative form or declaring he was an agent, then I don't see you wining this case. Confirm from your agent if he disclosed the fact that he was an agent. |
Kemdy97:Worry less! Go and change your program. Then you won't have problem. |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, I'll advise you as a friend and a brother. Don't include any certificate that weren't on your previous refused application. Most especially, if the date of completion from the polytechnic (OND certification) is above your previous refused application.... What do I mean? I'm simply saying if you graduated from polytechnic let say Dec 2016 and your previous refused application was August 2017, don't try to include it. Continue with what you have started. If you have a dipolma certification in computer and have been working as a computer operator in a law firm, I best advise you stick to it and apply for bachelor's degree in computer science and forget about the civil engineering. This alone will show academic/career progression. Don't try to maneuver your next application as it will turn around to bite you, any information you already filled on the IMM form has a barcode which CIC have used to store your information on their database, any alterations will be declared as misrepresentation, that was the essence of asking you to validate and generate a barcode If the FCMB internship is not relevant to computer... Forget it. You're still within the age bracket for undergraduate studies, so don't panic. Go and secure a new admission on the discipline of computer sciences. To your last question (3) It's of no use writing SAT since your school don't require that for admission. The above is my advise Sir! I'm 95.9% sure if you stick to it and change your program. Your next application purpose of visit, current employment situation etc.. Will be waived. All the best! |
Kemdy97:Kemdy97, Your agent has done nothing wrong, stop lamenting bitterly. Quick question before i can proceed with your matter. What was your intended program on your previous refused application? I hope to hear from you. |
Ggetter50:Ggetter50, No! Those step by step instructions are meant for applicants that submitted their application through paper route and decide to link it online. |
ayo993:ayo993, The below link will best answer your question. https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/460#65091365 |

Sleemzy13:Sleemzy13, This is an automated email from VFS Lagos. It's simply letting you know that your application for visa has been transferred to Canada Visa section. From now henceforth, you should be tracking the progress of your application using your cic account. All the best! |
QUEENBIZ:QUEENBIZ, Certainly, A year program for PGD is always tough to scale through, but I never said its impossible. You must therefore, put up a convincing facts and a rational explanation (SOP) clearly pointing at : 1-) Why you're going for a year program in Canada. 2-) Why you're spending so much on a year program since you can undergo it here in Nigeria. 3-) Why can't you undertake this program here in Nigeria. 4-) You should also state the benefits of undertaking a foreign education and how it will be of paramount benefit to your career prospects back home and to your nation at large. 5-) Your hometies Why I'm saying all this? This is because, due to the recent denials and Gcms notes I have seen, I noticed that applicants that are going for a year program in Canada is believed by a Visa officer that they are not a bona-fide student, and are using study permit as a means to facilitate relocation into Canada and won't leave after their authorized stay. So you should be skeptical about this and defend this fact, that you're truly a genuine student and have strong ties to Nigeria, with strong career prospects/benefits back home. All the best! |
Dolarman:Dolarman, Welcome to the forum. Answer 1-) You can use two sponsors for your visa application, one as the main sponsor and the other as a co-sponsor. Each of them must show commitment towards financing your studies in Canada i.e either by paying tuition or transferring funds into your personal/dorm account. Answer 2-) Since you don't have proof of relationship with your first sponsor, you can as well provide proof of previous financial support from him in the past, maybe like payment of tuition in the past, transfers of funds b/w both accounts in the past to show a trace of his previous support to you. If you're unable to get the above mentioned. Get him to pay for tuition fee and provide proof of tuition receipts. Lastly, both sponsors should present a rational letter of support stating why they are sponsoring you since it's a third party sponsor and it will be cheaper for them in Nigeria, what you have done to receive such offer from them, the number of dependants they have and must certify the visa officer that while financing your studies in Canada all financial obligations must be meet, i.e sponsporing you won't tend to be a burden to their personal life, business and immediate family, what they stand to gain in this sponsporship should be emphasized on their letters of support. 3-) To your paternal uncle, you can add both your father birth certificates and your uncle birth certificate to evident that they both are from the same family and are biological brothers. 4-) Your spouse and kids are strong and credible ties to your application, as you can't afford to leave them without coming back to Nigeria after your studies. So, Declare your marriage certificate and kids birth certificates. Finally, a year program for PGD is always tough to scale through, but never said its impossible. You must therefore, put up a convincing facts to why you're going for a year program in Canada. Why can't you undertake this program here in Nigeria, let them know the benefits of undertaking a foreign education and how it will be of paramount benefit to your career prospects back home and to your nation at large. Why are you spending so much on 1 year, since you can undergo it here in Nigeria. Why I'm saying all this? This is because, due to the recent denials and Gcms notes I have seen, I noticed that applicants that are going for a year program in Canada is believed by a Visa officer that most applicants are not a bona-fide student, and they are using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada and won't leave after their authorized stay. So you should be skeptical about this and defend this fact, that you're truly a genuine student and have strong ties to Nigeria (your spouse and kids), with strong career prospects/benefits back home. As for the 2M in your personal statement, add it up to your application in support of your application. Finally, I advise you apply for a 2 year masters degree that is relevant to your previous studies/job role, since you have a good cgpa 2.1 All the best! |
honeyscottage:honeyscottage, Tuition + Room and board + Others = Funds available for your stay. So, in your case you should add up both the 8,570CAD which has already been transferred to your school account together with the 8 million as funds availability for your stay. All the best! |
princetunex:princetunex, Don't rely only on the info you saw/get on the some blogs on the net, as most of those info's are posted far back ago. So it's advisable you go through the school webpage and know the exact fee for a particular program and it's requirements. Also, check schools like: Memorial University of Newfoundland Humber college Michigan University (Ontario) Anyone heading for PGD in public administration should please assist this fellow. All the best. |
QUEENBIZ:QUEENBIZ, It would be best to show a visa officer that there is a logical progression between your intended program and previous studies/job role. This can also be further proved if you're going for something higher than your previous academic level. What do i mean by this, Having an HND certification and going to Canada for a bachelor's degree does not in any way show progression. It's more convincing to go for a PGD on your discipline and not a BSc degree, even if you secured the admission with your HND certificate and transcripts. Go for a PGD that is higher than a bachelor's degree. I advise based on my experience, many have done it and end up getting refused. I hope this answers your question. |
princetunex:princetunex, You don't need to pay 100k to get PGD admission in Canada and visa processing fee cost 56k for paper route and 65-68k for online route. So, save the 200k meant for the visa process(as said by your agent) and go through the stress yourself by reading through the previous past thread 13 and asking questions. As for the tuition 3.5M check the school of your choice webpage, it will be clearly stated there. Also, explore to below schools, they are quite cheaper and admission process is easier to get. 1-) Algonquin college 2-) Durham college 3-) Seneca college 4-) Holland college PEI 5-) Conestoga College 6-) Nova Scotia community college Finally extend your research to www.google.com as it will be in best position to answer your queries at this early stage of yours. All the best! |
hurricanesgrace:hurricanesgrace, Please use the below link to find answers to your question. https://www.nairaland.com/4390108/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/26#66101611 All the best. |
Asapant:Sir! Contribute to the thread and stop being in look out for who mentions people's names here. I address monikers with their respective names prior answering their questions. So, I don't know why this should stand up to a scrutiny. |
