Austinpee4: Bro, the bold is actually the issue with your application. You know, going from an english speaking country to study english in canada(even prior to your program) may not be acceptable by most visa officers. They would rather expect that if indeed you need to improve your english, attempt TOEFL(test of english as a foreign language), IELTS(International english language testing system) to fulfill the condition of your program before you begin the undergraduate you eventually want to pursue.
So it will be imperative that you put this at the back of your mind in your next attempt. See if you can fulfill the english condition of your program and get direct admission into the program before you reapply. They will not believe you want to study genuinely going through the ESL no matter the duration. Your english can be improved here in nigeria through the test i mentioned to give you direct admission. So please, attempt it from here, fulfill your condition and get your admission before you apply again.
Regards. WHAT! AUSTINEEPEE4. Bro do you mean I have to start afresh and register a new IELTS exam inorder to get a direct admission? That's kinda very stressful seriously, sitting for another exam. Does it that implies that was the REASON FOR PURPOSE OF VISIT? |

Sorry once again my MUN bro Well, I had a conditional acceptance letter into ESL (English as a Second language) program which runs for 12 weeks, which was attached to my undergraduate Acceptance letter indicating that after my completion of ESL program, I can now enroll with my degree program in the school. Area of study wasn't specified, but in my SOP I explained to them that after my ESL program, I will enroll into my undergraduate degree program in computer sciences which is the faculty of science i was accepted by the school. I also attached that I have work in a company as a system Administrator and together with my 6 months diploma certificate award in desktop publishing, which I used to gain a job after my secondary school education. |

yemdogg: My people how una dey....Longest time. I'm indeed very sorry for being MIA.
I have been superbusy at work lately and a lot of have happened in the past few weeks, my visa application delay being one of them. I give thanks to God. I didn't learn my lesson from my previous refusal apparently . I took a calculated risk in using a program that is not directly related or consistent with my previous study to apply for trv. Despite the patent inconsistency. Before I applied for visa, i was given an offer of admission for a program that is directly related to my previous study but because of fees and no hope of funding from the program, I opted for another program that is cheaper but not directly related to my previous study. I knew the risk, yet I took it. It was plain stupidity but I learnt my lesson. Although I managed to convince myself that the two programs are connected, however, it appears the VO does not share my view as enshrined and contained in my sop hence purpose of visit. This does not in any way undermine the importance of an sop. After I submitted my application, It became dawn on me that I messed up, I should have applied with the LLM program notwithstanding the fee. More importantly since a colleague of mine was earlier refused because of the same program. So it is fair to say that I kinda saw it coming
Now I have learnt my lesson.....never take risk whether calculated or not, the VO may not understand the formula you used in arriving at the conclusion when it comes to Canadian Study permit application.
I have moved on sha ......EE is the new deal for me.
To all those whose applications have been approved, I congratulate and celebrate you. Particularly my brother from another womb osemigho, God bless you abundantly my dear friend. This is the beginning of new achievements and success to come. I'm really proud of you baba. .
CanadianNurse! I'm not unmindful of your success. Your trv approval is well deserved. Go and do us proud. Austinpee4...how far? Where's MichV? Eraytee and rest, I salute you all.
And to those expecting decision from cic.....keep calm, God is already working in your favour. Whatever the outcome of the application is, it will favour you all in Jesus name.
For those that fall in the 3rd category, keep calm also, for greater things are coming. . That I can assure you, what! You don't mean it. Tell me you are joking please. Yemdogg of all people denied for what? You have always been there for me even before i applied for my TRV. You instructed me on how to package my documents in order get my TRV. well, God knows the best. I definitely assure you that EE will turn out to favour before the year runs out Amen. All the best brother. |

You have to wait for your admission letter, with it u can now apply for your study permit. Get all necessary sponsors documents like - Bank statement for the last 6 months, Proof of ownership of business or fund, sponsor landed property included. Birth certificate of sponsor, Letter of sponsorship, Affidavit of sponsorship, this mostly implies when you are using a third party as a sponsor i.e not a family member. All other documents comes from u. I hope this helps |

yemdogg: Sorry bro some of these info are misleading.
Your answer to question number 1 is not all true.
Using someone in Canada as sponsor is not generally a good idea especially if such person will be bearing your full responsibility. Canadian govt want inflow of money into their system. Once your sponsor is already based in Canada, you're deemed an economy burden to Canada. More particularly since the person is a very close relative. This means you'd really need to work hard regarding your hometie. Am not saying this is not possible. Buh you should be very strategic about this. Ensure to get all relevant documents from him. how many dependents does he have ? I hope he's very buoyant financially? Cos the visa officer will be extremely unforgiving if he/she finds any discrepancy in your sponsor's documents.
Your answer to question number 2 is extremely far-fetched and entirely not apposite in the circumstance. Use of representative form is applicable to someone who wants his personal information as regards his visa application released to a specific individual or third party or if his brother is submitting his visa application on his behalf. The op has not indicated any of these, therefore there is no need for him to submit use of representative form since he would be applying himself. Furthermore, he risks the chances that cic would only communicate with his brother and not him and as such he may not be fully updated with respect the status of his application.
Your answer to question 3 is not true also. We've said repeatedly on this thread that the easiest way a sponsor can show commitment to support you financially is for the sponsor to roll some funds into your personal account. Leave the funds for a while before printing your soa. Your sponsor should indicate in his sponsorship letter that in furtherance of his commitment to sponsor you, he has transferred some funds to your account on a mentioned date. He should oblige you with his soa, so that the VO attending to your application can see for himself that indeed the funds in your account are from your sponsor. Your soa and that of your sponsor would reflect the said transaction. More so if you have your personal funds, you should indicate it somewhere.
Answer to question number 4 is very true.
Answer to question 5: Nobody can categorically state the timeline for a visa application. Each application is peculiar. Some go as far as 20 weeks, 17 weeks, 30 weeks and in the same vein some get decision from cic within 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 7 weeks etc. It all depends on the VO.
Answer to question 6 and 7 are correct. @frankrobbn1 please be properly guided. Thank you so much for your advice |

Hello House!
I have seen ur wonderful post on this blog, helping student to know everything concerning Canadian Visa's. Please I have some questions to ask because i want to apply for that soon.
1-) My sponsor(brother) is a permanent residence and a citizen of Canada, please is he eligible to be my sponsor, he is a businessman. Will I be denied visa because he is a permanent residence, maybe after studying I won't return back to Nigeria?
2-) Do my sponsor need to fill any other form before he can sponsor me?
3-) To your best knowledge, do you advice him to send the money to me , so that I'll be a self sponsor to myself? . 4-) Should he submit his bank statement before paying my tuition fee? Is it compulsory that he will pay my accomdation fee before I'll be granted Visa?
5-) Submission of applications through online and paper route, which is the best and faster?
6-) If I'm submitting with paper route what kind of papers do we need to submit our application, is it in plain papers?
7-)Do he need any affidavit to back up his sponsorship to me after writing letter of sponsorship?
Please clarify me on this questions, I'll be very happy to hear from you all soon.
Kind Regards Francis |
