please does this mean i have been refused Canada visa..??
Hello Sir! Be strong, don't drop into conclusion yet.
I'll ask you this few questions and I'll be happy if you give answers to them.

1-)when did you apply for TRV(study visa) ?
2-)Were you called for medicals?

If you weren't called for medicals, I'm afraid it's a REFUSAL, wait for your correspondence letter, pick up your passport, order for your notes, repackage your app and finally refire.

Additionally, if you were called for medicals keep hope alive with your two eyes close

Cheers!

Good evening fam,
I applied for my trv on 6 of September and biometrics done 8 of septemeber. I got refused today due to 'You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including;
1. purpose of visit
2. limited employment prospects in your country of residence
3. your current employment situation
4. your personal assets and financial status.
Those are the boxes that were ticked in my refusal letter. I have attached this to this message.

My profile:
Msc. Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics at the University of Manitoba for winter academic session (January 1- 22).
I studied Agricultural Extension and Rural Development and graduated with CGPA of 4.80
I'm currently doing my NYSC which is rounding up in December 2017.

I got IGES worth $5400cad out of tuition fee of $10,200 for the first year. I paid in $3000cad.
Tuition fee for 2nd year is $750cad.

My sponsor is solely my dad with SOA of two accounts 2M plus at sterling and 18M at stanbic IBTC.

No upfront medical, no physical assets, no travel history.

Please gurus in the house, kindly advise me what to do next. I'm quiet confused of my next step.

Many thanks!
Hello Sir/Ma,

I'm very sorry to hear that your visa got refused.
Please, kindly modify and scrap off the attached refusal letter of yours for security reasons.

Also, thanks for sharing your profile to the house. The gurus in the house will look into it and give you an insight on what went wrong on your app, while we wait for your CAIPS Note.

In the main time, I'll best advice you order for CAIPS NOTE. (GCMS NOTE), this will help indicate the factual reason why the visa officer refused your application. If you go through Page 0 of this thread, you will find the authorized site which you can use to order your notes. With your CAIPS NOTE you will be in the best position to know how to tackle the reasons.

Once again sorry for your refusal.

Well said Sir! I wasn't doubting you please. But I was suprised you said that you made only use of your GTB master card to complete your tuition deposit fees, you never mentioned the flywire(mode of payment) to the fellow.

All the same, thanks for clarifying the house on how you made your payment and I hope the fellow in question will also reciprocate.

U can use your naira card to make the payment. I paid mine last week with my GTB card.
Are you saying that you used GTB Naira Master Card for your tuition deposit(sounds fascinating) when has GTB Bank increased their monthly dollar limit above $1000)?.

Mind you, the fellow is not talking about application fees here but a tuition deposit of 2,200CAD, I doubt if GTB card will scale through.

Plss guys in the house need an urgent help wana make my tution deposite fee today and i dont hv my dollar card yet all my money is in naira plss how can i make payment of 2200cad i csnt use my naira card.. which optuons can the hiuse provide for me today is my deadline for payment am paying to fansgawe college
I have gotten account details from the school. Thanks guys.
I'll best suggest you make use of Form A since you already gotten the bank details of the school. Also make sure you have the naira equivalent of the amount involved(2,200CAD) in your bank account. It will easily scale through this method. But i also doubt if the payment will get to the school bursary today, been that today is the deadline. All the same Be positive minded.!!! undecided

hello, thanks for your advise, Pls aside Brandon university which other university as cheap tuition fee for msc program most esp in logistics and supply chain or shipping management
I'll advice you run a check on Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada (MUN) as it is also one of Canada's cheapest universities across Atlantic Canada for MSC international students and it offers broad range of programs that will suit your need.

Better still you can check on universities like university of Winnipeg , university of Saskatchewan, and other colleges as well etc...

Additionally, make google your best friend. Do your research and findings, then come here and ask related questions you don't understand.

I hope this information helps.

I am really really confused, I need to chat(Whatsapp) with someone who have gone through the process or familiar with it.
I prefer Brandon university. Undergraduate program
How much is the tuition fee for accounting?.
Is the tuition fee paid yearly/installmentaly or paid altogether?.
Do the tuition fee cover both feeding and accommodation?.
Will I get a job there to cover all expenses or do I have to rely on sponsors while studying?
Someone please help me out.thank you..
Hello, I'll answer your question because you are my Name sake... lol.

Brandon University is one of Canada's cheapest university, if not the cheapest.

Annual Tuition fees in Accounting for 30credit hours goes for 6758CAD. Other miscellaneous Expenses like student service fees,U pass, student fitness fees etc... plus the tuition will cost you for a year = 7677CAD.

Brandon always advice students to budget 18,000CAD for annual tuition and living expenses.

In respect to the tuition it is paid Annually(Only if cic instructs you to do so)

Be guided that tuition fees don't cover your living Expenses like feeding and Accomdation. You need to have 10,000CAD handy for your living expenses plus tuition fees for a year.

Of course yes, if you are the hustling type you will get job when you get there, (getting a job in Canada is not easy as you think) in as much as you will be issued your study permit and SIN at the point of entry (POE), so this makes you eligible to work 20hours per week while studying and you can work as much as you can without restrictions while school isn't on session(OFF CAMPUS). So, you don't necessarily need to rely on your sponsor for all your expenses, either you will depend on him a little mostly for tuition fees, while you settle your bills for your living expenses. Because i doubt if you will get a job that can cover both your living expenses and tuition fees while studying in Canada.

√On this forum we advice applicants to pay their annual tuition fees(7677CAD) while your sponsor deposits your living expenses (10,000CAD) into your dorm account (This serves as a proof of commitment to your sponsor), After all, make sure your sponsor has enough sufficient funds remaining to cater for his family, business etc...

I hope this information helps NameSake!

Good luck in pursuit of your Canadian dreams.

Hello friends, my name is Kennedy, I really need ur help in visa processing. can I start processing my visa without paying acceptance fee to the sch, if yes pls how can I start the process? Thanks for ur awaiting answers....
Firstly let me ask you this question, Have you secured Admission in any DLI (Designated Learning Institution) if yes. Okay!

It's not compulsory to pay for upfront tuition fees. But if you are using a third party sponsorship, it's important to do so. Then let your sponsor pay in your living Expenses to your dorm account as a proof of commitment.

Once you have all the above mentioned in place, then you are good to kick start your application for visa. Get all necessary documents from your Sponsor, example... Bank statement for the past 6 months, letter of sponsorship, affidavit of sponsorship, proof of source of income, tax clearance certificate (if he owns a company), landed properties, sponspor intl passport bio data page (as a age declaration) etc... Then the rest will come from you as the applicant....i.e , letter of acceptance, letter of explanation (only if you have something important to clarify to the Visa officer), Academic transcripts etc....

I hope this helps.

cheers!

LONG POST ALERT!

Hey guyz

For the benefit of others here, i want to explain this issue of " You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada....." here. I seem to be getting alot of questions in my email box about this.

Just as it is clearly written on the refusal letter, an officer was not satisfied you would leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay if your study permit is approved. He/she would have ticked the area(s) of concern and the onus now is upon you to satisfy and convince the officer that indeed you would leave by tackling the issues raised.

It's not as though immigration officers don't want people to stay back but there are LAWS guiding their jobs and each part of your application must meet the provisions of the law. Like i have previously mentioned, under the IRP Acts and regulations and under the temporary visa category, an applicant MUST show he/she will likely return home even if you can stay. It's just something an officer can't help. It is clearly written in the Acts and regulation as published by IRCC(formerly CIC). However, the discretionary part of their job would be in deducing this likelyhood from your
1. Previous travel history(if you have one)
2. Social, economic and family ties to Nigeria or anywhere else aside Canada.
3. Your financial situation
4. Prospects both in your home country or where you have strong ties.

It is not compulsory all these ties must be in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it can be else where you are established or have strong ties to. Unfortunately, most people have stronger ties in Nigeria than else where because most of us have citizenship of Nigeria where our rights are not not limited as compared to other places we don't have citizenship. This is why it is often stressed especially on this forum.
If you still have investments, educational ties, employment or political affiliation outside Nigeria and can establish how strong there are to compel you to leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay, you will satisfy the Act's provision and you can use them.

Note that the refusal letter always have the line "Leave Canada at the end" and not ' Return to Nigeria'. Which means the focal point is that you leave Canada to where you choose as long as you have established that ties to those places exist and are very strong enough to compel you( Citizenship, Diplomatic ties, religious ties etc).

So for people asking if it has to be only Nigeria, Well, since most people have citizenship of Nigeria, it is also advisable you show ties to Nigeria aside where you have other ties. This however does not mean that if you have citizenship of other countries, you can't use it(them). By all means, please do.

Also take note of what particular reason(s) was considered when you did not satisfy the Officer (Purpose of visit, personal assets, travel history etc). If the reasons fall under one of these, then know it bothers around what you are going to do and the circumstances surrounding that singular intent.(Before and after)

Do not lose hope, get help where necessary, restrategize and ultimately, ensure you see the officer's inference of your previously refused application by getting your GCMS file(your immigration file with IRCC) before you reapply. The refusal letter reason(s) is always vague. The real reason is on the note because it is like a report the officer will make for record purposes and for future reference incase you apply for any other category of Canadian visas or permits.

I hope this helps.
Well Said and Noted! @Austinpee4

Hi, is it compulsory to submit International Passport? What if I need it pending the time my application gets approved.
I remember reading somewhere on this thread that CIC requests for original passport after going through your application.
Please be advised that it is compulsory for paper route applicants to submit their passport, because once your application is approved, a letter of introduction will be attached with your passport and sent back to you.

√√ Also be guided that those that cic requested their passport after their application most have been processed are online applicants and this happens when there is a positive outcome on your application... i.e APPROVAL.

Since, you might make use of your passport during your application process, i'll advice you for online route then.

I hope this information helps.

Hi Sir.
Good to hear you have your documents in place and ready to submit your application soonest.

As to arranging your documents, I think VFS WORKER will be the one to arrange your documents and make sure everything is in place. So don't worry about that since you're going for paper route.

You're expected to submit Originals of Bank Statement, your original INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT and photocopies of documents because it won't be returned back to you after your application must have been processed. Your Passport is the only document that will be returned to you.

In regards to payment info... You're expected to make your payment at the cashier at VFS office. You should go with at least 56k...

Once you have your documents in place. walk directly to the VFS and submit your application and take your biometrics as well.

If you have your SOP, you can PM some experienced Gurus here to help you review them before submission to avoid errors and story that touches.

This is my input. Gurus can give answers to this, if there was anything i omitted.

cheers!

I will have to say to prevent all these multiplicities of sponsors, just pay and show CIC that you are genuine with a receipt of payment. Saying you have nobody in Canada and now having a sponsor in Canada might be a death knell to your application. I will advice you stick to old sponsor and pay up and explain relationship with old sponsor in a detailed statement of explanation.
You are right Bro.

jnyuwa02:
You not critically thinking these stuff out. The VOs will jump on him after saying he doesn't have anyone in Canada and now using his maternal uncle in Canada as new sponsor. Nothing wrong in changing sponsors, nobody said there is anything wrong in changing sponsors. Just wrong in using someone that is a relative in Canada when no relative in Canada has been checked in previous application. And yes it will not hurt if he used old sponsor. Just have maternal uncle pay up fees and transfer money into domiciliary account using first uncle already stated as sponsor. If there must be a change in sponsor, can't be the maternal uncle in Canada. It's potentially explosive information.
Well, I think i made a wrong decision by ticking "I DON'T HAVE ANY RELATIVE IN CANADA" that will be my fall if i should go ahead and use my Brother who is a citizen of Canada.

√Please what in the case that my maternal Uncle whom i used in my last application doesn't operate with a domicilary account and he can't transfer Naira into my domicilary account. Can i buy dollars from BREAU DE CHANGE and deposit the money into my dorm account in his name?

My question is it complusory for him to transfer since he don't operate with dorm account or can he deposit the money into my dorm account, with his name as the DEPOSITOR.??
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Frankrobbn1:

Boss,
I understand your point. But the boss misrepresented about not having a relative in Canada. Now he is making a u-turn in using a 'non-existing' relative in Canada as his main sponsor.
In this instance, @jnyuwa is right. He should stick to his present sponsor while his brother or relative in Canada pay for his fees and upkeep. Then he has all receipts to show as proofs.

But, if he has a tangible reason for saying he has no one in Canada in his first application, then he can go ahead with the new sponsor... but wetin e want tell CIC, say he forget say e get person the first time?

Cc: @Frankrobbn1

PS: People we are still saying this, try as much as possible to put up a straight forward application. You owe yourself that.
I thought ticking I HAVE A RELATIVE in Canada will be a red flag to my application in regards to my home ties.
That's why i opted NO as my option in my first application.

But nevertheless, thanks for your input. You have a point there. It will be very tough for me to convince the V.O that i made a mistake on my first application by saying NO.

I think I'll use my maternal Uncle which i used before, while my Brother pays my bills.

√But do you think with my brother immigration lawyer over there in Canada i can win the case of having opted for NO(sounds stupid anyway).

√ Now, he wants to be my main sponsor in my next application and provide his bank statements both his personal & business statements, business assets and proof of ownership of businesses in Canada. He plans to use his immigration lawyer to follow my application up this time.

*The immigration Lawyer over there assured him that it's very much possible for him to be my sponsor and It will have no negative effect on my application.

√ I have been Refused Visa before, which most of you here know about. My last application was refused based on limited proof relationship with sponsor and insufficient funds and travel history according to my GCMS NOTE. My last application i used my maternal Uncle and he is not willingly to transfer 10k CAD to me for my living expenses and pay tuition at once.

√ As for my home ties, I'm currently working in an Electrical contracting company as a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR and my siblings birth certificates and International passport Bio data pages as a proof of home ties. I'm going for undergraduate studies in COMPUTER SCIENCES (MUN).

* Please guys how possible will this look?

√ As my Elder brother is willingly to send 10k CAD to me as living expenses into my dorm account and pay tuition fees as well.

√ So, I plan to use my Elder Bro as the main sponsor while my Maternal Uncle as a CO SPONSOR also providing his bank statements, letter of sponsorship and landed properties because all my bro assets are based in Canada. I just want to use my uncle as a CO SPONSPOR because of his landed properties here in Nigeria. Which will also serve as a home tie to me.

My profile ,

I was refused in 2016 based on insufficient funds :
Reasons ticked : funds to transport my self to Canada and funds for living expenses .

I knew how to tackle these but I still got my GCMS notes just so I know the VO's tot process .

Applied : May 14th ,upfront medicals :

Medical changed to pass :24 th Aug and they started to review eligibility .

Application approved / passport request .7th Sept 2017 .(after two reminder mails )

Docs: submitted

1.All cic forms
2.school fees print out paid two years tuition .(27k CAD)
3 .my birth certificate and that of my sister ,I added her marriage certificate as her hubby is my sponsor (this was not in my first application ).
4.Sponsors affidavit of support.
5 .Sponsor transferred 2.5mm to my account (added his bank statement and mine) .
6.My sis bank statement(26 k CAD) savings ,she's in Canada by the way and in my SOP I stated that I had the option to stay with her .(accommodation sorted ).
7.All my employment documents ,salary increase and pay slips .
8.My house document .(Gift from my late dad.)
9.Sponsors employment documents and pay slips and in his letter he stated how much I mean to him .
10.My pension statement and Family picture of my sis and the hubby with me and kids in it .(this was to emphasize the relationship as basically I knew the VO doubted the relationship in my 2016 app )
10. Lots of prayers and trusting in God .
