Hello all, Am a newbie, please I need a cheap school in either Saskatchewan, Manitoba or Alberta where I can get a postgraduate diploma or certificate program in any business course for 2 years...... please I need help
There are no cheaper schools for a Post Graduate Diploma in any of those provinces you enumerated. If you're searching for cheap schools, then you should channel your search on some of the schools in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. More importantly, however, their programs in the Atlantic region are usually 1 year duration.

Hey frank do you advise paper applications since March To apply for gcms too ?
You can order for the case notes of the visa officer on your application, albeit be advised that no much information will found in your ATIP as the immigration of Canada have stopped processing paper applications until further notice.

That means with AIP we are way close to visa. just like before if you are ask for to go for medical.
AIP - is seen in the context of Pre-Arrival letter for family sponsorship and PNP based PR applications.

Dear All,

Please i need some clarification. Can i use my mums bank statement issued showing period 1 Jan 2020 to 28 July 2020. She is my main Sponsor. My dads is retired and does not have much. Please can i use this statement to apply for study permit by September given the period covered. I think it is still current. Whats your thought?
Please be advised that a bank statement is valid for one month. Considering that you're looking at applying by September, it's very advisable that you should get an updated SOA before putting in your application.

Hello guys, i just got an offer to study nursing science january 2021 at the university of Manitoba.

My visa to the us was denied 2015,although there was no stamp on my passport to indicate that. However, i have been to Egypt,Senegal, Indonesia,Ghana. Do i need to include that visa denial in my application for study permit?

Pls i need an answer
Thank you

@frankrbbon1 and others.
Please declare all the refusals you've had in the past in any countries. Canada and US with other first-rate countries have information sharing agreement and can easily dedicate the refusal if you fail to declare it in your application. Never to worry, having a visa refusal from the US has no negative impact on your study permit. The Canadian immigration officer will assess your application based on the regulations and requirements for a study permit.

IRCC steady surprising me , not everyone gets this but I feel this is good news
Not mine by the way
I know someone from my end that was also requested to provide the following documents in order to continue processing his application.

1. Proof of payment of first year tuition fees,
2. Updated letter of acceptance,
3. Updated SOA and
4. Medical request.

Note: that these request all came at the same time. So it happens only on a special occasion. The applicant just received an AIP last week after providing the aforementioned documents to IRCC. We have also ordered for his GCMS notes and found out that his application has been approved.

Good morning All,

I am seeing "proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees" on the Canadian and Immigration website as part of the checklist to be uploaded for submission. Please has anyone had a similar experience. Must i payment tuition and accommodation fee before submitting my application. Because did not require payment of tuition from me for now before issuing unconditional acceptance letter. I plan to pay this in January 2021 when i resume.

My gurus and egbons in the house, please advice?
Payment of upfront tuition fees is not a prerequisite for a visa approval. However, if your school require you to make a deposit to secure your space in the program, please go ahead and make the payment while you include proof of tuition receipts with your application.

Good morning all.

Please for those that have done biometrics, does your biometrics still show ‘we have not received your fingerprints ...’ ? I did my biometrics on Monday and even though my app now has the biometrics no in the same place where we have UCI and Application No, the biometrics place in the progress section still has ‘we have not received your fingerprints ...’ It’s this normal?
Noms11:
Any help with this, please?
I don't think it worth being worried about as your biometrics details and expiration date is already reflecting on your mycic account. Upon processing your study permit application, the responsible immigration officer will update your biometrics as "completed".

Hey nairalanders
Please anyone can answer this

What if you applied since May, did your biometrics and upfront medicals and you haven't gotten any reply.. can you order for gcms or it only applies to those who haven't done their biometrics
In your case I will strongly recommend that you should order for your case notes. Your application has taken longer than expected and only the case notes will give you the current status of your application. Thus do well to request for it Asap.

Thank you boss..But what about the 30 days period for medical results..I was asked for medical on july 31,what happens when the 30 days period elapses in august 31?
Wouldn’t it have a bad implication on my application?
IRCC has clearly stated that they will not reject any in process application for non-compliance of documents. Your application will NOT be rejected after the stipulated 30 days period given to you to complete your medical exam. As a matter of fact, they will systematically extend the deadline.

Please resend a copy of the E-medical slip via this email - nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

Keep me posted should your Mycic account changes.

hello everyone,
I submitted- july 16
Did upfront medicals at qlife july 22nd and raised webform to submit emedical slip
I got aip july 30
then medical request july 31st
since then I have raised about 4 webforms snd sent 2 emails but none of them has be acknowledged.
I read on my medical request letter that I’m required to undergo medical examination within 30 days of the letter.

Right now I don’t know what to do..Please help
Please stop sending webform continuously. Since you've raised a CSE the first time, the responsible visa office (Kenya) have received your documents. Most often they receive the documents without sending an acknowledgement email. This is very common with Kenya, Nairobi immigration office. I will advise that you should wait for a few weeks, if you don't see any possible changes on your profile, you may send the E-medical slip via email of Nairobi.

Someone please come to my aid!!!!!!! My wife had a 3rd Class in Computer Science and I want her to go to Canada for her PGD and also a place where the tuition fees are very much affordable. We've searched for cheap schools but we've found out that, one school called Memorial University of Newfoundland has cheap tuition fees on their website but mhen, it's a trap coz there are other fees attached to it without ur knowledge and when attached, it makes it one of the most expensive schools in Canada, and funny enough they don't offer PGD for Computer Science. Can someone please help me with a link or many links that will assist her in getting cheap colleges that will accept her in that same Computer Science field for PGD, please!!!!!!
Conestoga and Fanshawe College should be her best bet, they offer a lot of IT related courses.

The phone number I used to book is back in another state, and my biometrics appointment is tomorrow.

Please I need a response.
Phone number plays no vital role in the process. Go along with you a copy of the appointment letter, originals of your int'l passport and biometrics instructions letter from IRCC.

Those that have received GCMS which must be via third party, pls did u submit again to cancel the Appointment of a Representative afterwards?
The representative for ordering a GCMS note is not the same as an authorized/licenced compensated representative that could advice you or prepare an immigration application on your behalf. Therefore, you don't need to cancel any appointment of a representative afterwards.

Eligibility and background check still been reviewed.i have sent a web form to verify IRCC has received medical from Qlife and was replied that they received it and application is still in progress.i’ve recently sent a second web form to let them know school is resuming soon. Question: should I apply for GCMS note now since application has been about 10weeks or I should still exercise patience and expect a reply from the web form? Thanks for the expected reply
Apply for the GCMS notes let's know what's stalling the application from receiving any updates thus far. Hopefully the notes would give us the current status of your file.

Please I applied for study permit on the 24 July but till now I haven't gotten any other update on my application
Status reads eligibility review on going and background check not applicable

Is it okay if I request for my GCMS notes to know the status of my application besides my school resumes September 8.
The time is too short to request for a GCMS notes on your application. Its better you wait as your application is barely a month old and no much activity could have been done within this time.

Good morning Frank, Pls what is BVL? Will those who havent done Biometrics receive it too?
BVL - Biometrics Validity Letter. This letter comes as a correspondence letter on your Mycic account. This letter is specifically sent to applicants who have done biometrics and informing them that their biometrics is valid for a decade for any temporary resident visa application they might have in future with IRCC. In your present situation since you've not given your biometrics details to IRCC, you will not receive this update. Although bear in mind that you will still receive this BVL letter prior to the approval of your study permit.

hello house,
i applied to university of regina undergraduate health studies application fee was waived. It was written I need to declare post secondary school attended which I did, my question is I haven 2year national diploma initially OND on the admission page if u declare post secondary education u need transcript and it should be evaluated by wes ...pls I don't know what to do I don't even need transfer credit I intended starting all over as undergraduate applicant. I can still provide my transcript but Wes evaluation is time consuming pls what should I do is just OND not Bsc.
Kindly ignore the OND certificate and provide just the WAEC certificate, you will be granted an admission. The international admissions office only works and makes a decision based on the information present in your application. All you need to do is to briefly explain in about 5 lines what you've been doing since you last left high school.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you very much for the prayers and best wishes. Indeed, I'm honoured!.

Certainly every temporary resident visa application to Canada must receive a BVL notification prior to the initiation of a passport request by the visa officer. Therefore, you will receive it the second time irrespective of the fact that you got it in your previous refused application.

I received your DM and I can confirm to have responded.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

May this new week culminate into days of GOODNEWS for us here!
Positive news reaching me today is that applicants are beginning to receive BVL notifications after medical exams has been passed. This is a sign that IRCC are promptly processing pending applications submitted before the lockdown. I hope after the system maintenance this morning, good updates will soon begin to drop on this thread.

I wish everyone the best in their respective applications.

Thank you very much for this info, I really appreciate it. But I don’t know how often do they give admissions to international student and what my chances might be since I am applying for my undergraduate program. I need some more hint on that because I know you already applied for someone through Regina university before, there are more I will love to know about it. Thank you
The University of Regina offers flexible programs that are available in three (3) different semesters (Fall, Winter and the Spring). The chances of getting an undergraduate admission strictly depends on your academic qualifications and WAEC results. If you had good grades in your WAEC with the compulsory components (English and Mathematics) not less than C6, you will be given an admission within 4 weeks.

Let me know if you have other questions.
