Time2soar:You're absolutely at liberty to believe what your school of thoughts administers to you. All fingers crossed! It will end in praise. |
Nastan:Please don't conceal any information from the immigration of Canada because you will continue with same data you've given to them for your study permit and in any of your future applications with IRCC. I would advise that you should declare your already attained master's degree and begin afresh by applying for a second master's degree than a Post Baccalaureate diploma program. Your visa application success is relatively slim with a PGD on file. By the way, have you paid any deposit to the school in order to secure your seat in the program? Why are you finding it difficult to begin a fresh application by applying for a master's program? In the case of an introduction letter from your employer, this can always be issued at any given time, it shouldn't influence your resolution to put in a weak application. As per your choice of program, I would appreciate if you search on google for schools that may be offering those shortlisted programs. Let me know if you have any other questions It will end in praise. |
skull4eva:No implications whatsoever. The recent changes made on your profile is NORMAL and a signal that your application is presently been worked upon by an immigration officer at the Visa Office in Nairobi. At this time, you can only hope for the best outcome on your application. It will end in praise |
eightyeight:I don't give mere speculations here. I think its high time you all should understand my stance on any topic been raised here. If I am not too sure of a particular topic, I don't go into detail debating about it. I remember vividly and very clearly that I said it on this platform that the receipt of an AIP letter is NOT a guarantee that an applicant will be approved of the second stage. Many counterattacked my post and were obivoulsy thinking that I'm depriving people on this window from showing great happiness. However this is not the case, as I was merely advising applicants here from the wisdom of my knowledge and the number of applications and cases I see on a regular basis and the tricks that are likely to be employed by IRCC this fall 2020. I reiterate that IRCC are using this AIP as a means to lure applicants into paying their tuition fees for the survival of her economy. Do not begin classes until you have received the final verdict from IRCC. Please be properly guided if you've not been told before, a Visa officer can decide to start your ELIGIBILITY review afresh after receiving a complete application (biometrics enrollment details and medicals), this I have seen on numerous GCMS notes especially when a new VO picks up the file for a final review. I'll be here to watch how things unfolds in no distant time. As always, it will end in praise. |
ptoall1000:Yes, it's possible to secure a job in Canada from Nigeria albeit at this present time, most companies in Canada are not recruiting foreign nationals due to the impact of the current global pandemic, instead some employers in Canada are laying off workers as a result of decreased business capitalization or low income to pay up their on ground staffs. I would suggest you pause for a while in search for job offers until after the COVID-19 travel restrictions has been lifted and activities are back to normal. For further information on how to secure a job from Nigeria, please refer to the ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT PROGRAM THREAD ON NAIRALAND. It will end in praise. |
Backcheck:Please contact the international admissions of the proposed institution in Canada as your application shouldn't take this long. Nonetheless, you should be aware that most of the staffs are currently working remotely which makes it difficult to facilitate the processing of admissions at this critical time. Keep faith and be hopeful that you will be granted an admission soon. It will end in praise. |
Wilpert2:May your dreams be fulfilled as you wish. My best wishes are with you. It will end in praise. |
bisolaemilia:GCMS Basic is fine. Go for it. This will provide the electronic notes of the visa officer and enable us know the current state of your application at the visa office in Nairobi. It will end in praise. |
donmanuel1:Check Laurentian University and Memorial University of Newfoundland you may be considered for admission with a 3.45 CGPA. Though your chances are very slim. Better still go for a PGD in a field that is directly related to your speciality. It will end in praise. |
Nastan:Save your yourself the stress, the time, the money and energy and apply for a second master's that is not related to your first masters in Insurance and Risk Management. My reasons being that its much more achievable to bring up reasonable points as to why you're going for a second masters than a PGD. A post Baccalaureate diploma would not be feasible in your case as you're going for a program that is lower than your already completed degree and as such the visa officer will see you as a potential emigrant who is using study permit to facilitate relocation to Canada rather than educational advancement. All things considered, you can also explore your chances of emigrating successfully to Canada as a permanent resident by calculating your CRS score to know if you qualify to enter the EE pool. Let me know if you have any other questions. It will end in praise. |
Wilpert2:If you have a valid work permit, study visa or a permanent resident holder in Russia. I would advise that you should apply for your study permit from Russia and get an expedited processing times with lower visa officer's scrutiny on your file. It will end in praise. |
Dameelee:Apparently, it takes months for passport send off due to the effect of the novel COVID-19 pandemic. On a normal condition before the pandemic, it doesn't exceed 3 weeks. It will end in praise. |
olasubomy:Having read the contributions of @Fgmp12 and @Justmellow which are absoultely valid, I would like to chip in my suggestion based on the question 3 with hope that anyone who find themselves in the same situation can also make the most of it. Now, while filling the form IMM1294 ( Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada) and you found out that the required spaces provided is not sufficient to cover for your ten (10) years work experiences. All you have to do is to merge both work experiences you have had in the past, the names of the companies and the duration contemporaneously so you can fulfil the instructions given on the form. For instance, if you have worked for Mr. A company from 2012 to 2015 and at the same worked for Mr. B company from 2015 to 2016. And presently working for Mr. C company from 2016 to present. You can combine the previous companies i.e (Mr. A company/Mr. B company) as the employer in the form and simultaneously the duration spent as (2012 to 2016). While leaving the present company (Mr. C company as the first and stand alone firm in the history). I have personally implemented this on several applications with vast working experiences and the applications were successful. More importantly, however, I will also advice you include a copy of your resume/CV to provide better clarity to what have been filled on your study permit form. I hope this information is helpful to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation. It will end in praise. |
olasubomy:You're not required to sign any of the IMM forms. Upon uploading of documents into their various categories, you will be prompted to use your full name as written on your international travel document to electronically sign and transmit the documents to IRCC. It will end in praise |
Greatadams:Yes I do know someone going for an undergraduate program that received his AIP letter on August 17. I don't think AIP has anything to do with applicant's level of education or even the school. Once the visa officer recognizes that you meet the ELIGIBILITY requirements for a study permit, an AIP letter will be initiated. It will end in praise. |
bravolyk:These are significant ties that can motivate your departure after studies. Having said that, the onus is on you to explain to the visa officer the benefits and the importance of these assets to you back home. It will end in praise. |
Anndav:VAC have started dispatching passports that are in their custody back to applicant's mailing address. I know someone who got his passport returned to him last week. Did you pay for any courier service charge after the submission of your passport? if yes, then i would advise that you should keep sending emails to the embassy while you CC: the VAC until your query has been attended to. At this present time, your passport is still with the visa office in Nairobi. It will end in praise. |
damosh360:If you're inclined to undergo an upfront medicals without the visa officer's instructions, you can forge ahead with your plans. Immediately after completing the upfront medical exam, do raise a CSE via IRCC web form with the copy of your E-medical slip. It will end in praise. |
timilehinemmanu:I would best suggest you contact the international admission office directly to enquire about the present status if your admission. After sending the email across to them, give it sometime (4 weeks) before sending another mail. It will end in praise. |
Jermaineayo:This is very certain and evident in several GCMS notes I have vetted recently from international students. There are so many applicants that have approved and it's due to the travel restrictions that the visa officer haven't dished out passport request (PPR). Hopefully, by September pending applications will start receiving positive correspondence from IRCC. It will end in praise. |
Tracy2020:I know someone who got same update from IRCC by 12:05am today. In the applicant's case, he has been called for medicals and also received an AIP letter. Most importantly, the update is an advise for international students regarding the two-stage process for study permit applications. It will end in praise. |
EzekielMab:I may not go into detail about your enquiry because we have addressed the issue of company sponsorship on countless occasions on this thread. However, I will advise that you should use a regular sponsorship (parents, siblings or uncle and aunt). Company sponsorship doesn't hold water when it comes to Canadian Study Visa application. It will end in praise. |
zeb04:All letters should be addressed to the below address; The Visa Officer, High Commission of Canada, 4 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. It will end in praise |
Dameelee:Awesome!. The patient dog eats the fattest bone. Accept my congratulations in advance. It will end in praise. |
owee:You only did an upfront medicals which was updated as "Passed". This in no way exhibit a positive sign on your application. You will have to wait until you receive an AIP letter from IRCC and afterwards you can request for your case notes. It will end in praise. |
Jskill:Yes you can do the both concurrently. It will end in praise |
damosh360:Please exercise a little more patience, you will be requested to undergo a medical exam shortly. It will end in praise |
princejunaid:Are you married and you will be leaving your spouse and kids behind? You need the following documents to proof sufficient ties back home. 1. Marriage Certificate 2. Children Birth Certificate 3. Parents intl bio data pages. 4. Landed property documents. 5. Leave of absence from your current place of work. 6. Investment in the banks 7. Valuation Report of a building. I hope this information helps. It will end in praise |
Jskill:Kenya, Nairobi immigration office are presently in charge of all the temporary resident visa applications from Nigeria. Please contact them should you want to enquire about the current status of your application. It will end in praise |
Dameelee:Was it an upfront medical or medical request? If in the case of a medical request, kindly give it some time it will be updated on your MyCIC account. And on the condition that it is an upfront medicals, please scan and email the E-medical slip to IRCC. Let me know if the problem persist and I'll provide you another viable option. It will end in praise |
bisolaemilia:Looking at your application from a glance, I think it's too early to opt for a GCMS note because there might be no new information and/or activity on your file. Again, you can't change a DLI when your application is still in process at the visa office. You will have to wait until your application has been finalized prior to updating IRCC on your MyCIC account about the new acceptance from the DLI. I hope this information helps. It will end in praise. |
Miide2:Please don't withdraw your application for now. At this stage, I can advise you to order for your case notes to know if your application has been touched since you applied for visa. If you find out your application hasn't been reviewed by a Senior immigration officer, then I would suggest you proceed with the withdrawal request. Keep me posted once you've received the case notes of your application. It will end in praise |
