hotboss:Its probably that your SOP was weak during the past applications for admisson. If I may ask, what course of study are you going for in Canada? It will end in praise |
Luckymama:Glad to know you've finally received the visa officer's secret file (GCMS note) on your application. In a situation like this, I would suggest your sponsor should obtain a bank reference letter that will attest to the fact that he is the sole signatory to his cooperate account and has satisfactorily been running this account since its creation date until now. Your sponsor should also get a board resolution letter clearly written on the company's official letter headed paper. This letter should introduce your sponsor as the MD/CEO of the company, and in the letter, the board of directors should confirm that they are fully aware and in support of your sponsor (MD/CEO) of the company to sponsor your education and stay in Canada for a two years master's or PGD/C program in Canada. They should further state that they wouldn't pose to be a hindrance or obstruction to funds accessibility during the course of your studies in Canada and that adequate provisions are in place to making sure that funds are available for you without working in Canada to pay for your fees etc. In your letter of explanation when carefully analysing and tackling the refusal grounds that were raised by the visa officer in your last application, you should ensure to draw the attention of the new visa officer to the aforementioned points about the board resolution letter and reference letter which you have added in this new application. Also elucidate in detail how the funds for your education will be spent by drafting a financial table detailing the annual funds available and annual expenses for your first year of studies. Having said that, your sponsor should also try to pay at least your tuition fees and have your living expenses transferred into your domicilary account. I am confident if you implement the above points, it would considerably improve your application chances for approval. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns in this regard, don't hesitate to reach out here for professional assistance. It will end in praise. |
ajikaz2003:The most recent refusal grounds are sufficient, that's what the new immigration officer will review to know if your situation has substantively changed. It will end in praise |
Adetayoade1:Awesome, glad to know you made your own research on the subject matter. It will end in praise |
Olaa123:I never said so Sir as per the bolded. I was only advising the applicant based on his profile since he already had 3.64CGPA in his undergraduate studies, he should be going for master's and not a post graduate diploma at Seneca. Please let's be meticulous enough on this thread. I wish you the best in your application. It will end in praise |
LordAA:What they meant by official proof of diploma from University of Lagos is that you're ought to send the official copy of your diploma certificate directly from the exams and records of University of Lagos via courier to the school in Canada. However, you scan the unofficial and upload it on your admission portal and explain to them your inability to get the official certificate due to current global pandemic. By the way, which program are you applying for in Canada and what's the name of the school? It will end in praise. |
Zolagigo:I can confirm to have acknowledged the receipt of your email. It will end in praise. |
Pdn234:In view of your vast working experiences in the marketing industry, a post graduate diploma in Marketing is the best option for you here. You will have alot of work to do in your SOP by explaining why you're furthering your education at this point in your career given your huge study gaps and age. Your letter must be very persuasive as possible as by capturing the relevant key informations about your professional experiences and satisfying the visa officer that you're a bonafide student and will definitely study in Canada and undoubtedly perform well in classroom assignments and projects. It will end in praise. |
Jejelaye01:Your standpoint on this matter could have been achievable if the company in question is a multinational company. However if the company is a private organisation, they have to furnish the applicant with the necessary documentation including proof of ownership of business and bank statements. A mere sponsorship letter, recommendation letter would not hold water as regards financial sponsorship in his application. It will end in praise. |
Kerry87:There is no logical progression in your choice of program in Canada. You graduated with 3.64cgpa which can easily secure a master's degree in Canada and would increase your chances of getting an approval. Given your academic background in finance, It's reasonable if you apply for a Master of Management (MGM) degree in International Accounting and Finance at the University of Windsor. You will be required to pay 4kCAD to the school to secure your seat in the program. Going for a Graduate Certificate in Business Insights and Analytics will give the visa officer the impression that you're not a bonafide student and thus using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada rather than educational advancement. Your sister who is currently a Canadian citizen can be your main sponsor if she has adequate available financial resources to cover for your tuition and living expenses. This is my honest advice for you. Seneca is good but your Visa chances are slim. It will end in praise |
Tonyodg:A Bank statement is valid for a month (30 days). See the attachment with this post from IRCC website for visa instructions for study permit applications from Nigeria. It will end in praise

Jarvis11:1. It's rational if you're self-sponsored giving you're happily married with three (3) kids. This clearly explains to the visa officer that you're well-established in your home country irrespective of absence of immovable assets back home. 2. As per the immigration policy of Canada, your immediate family (spouse and kids) are the strongest ties you could ever think of in your home country. This is because the visa officers are fully aware that you won't abscond into thin air when you get into Canada without returning back to your family in Nigeria. Possession of Buildings and lands in your home country are considered as auxiliaries ties. 3. Admin officer for over 7 years now exhibits a career progression with your intended program in public administration. Based on this, I don't see anything wrong with your job experience. 4. Is public administration related to politics? I guess yes, you can explain how your international degree will be a vehicle for you to occupy a power/political position so as to enable you make a positive impact in your home country. HollateeK247:Congrats on your Admission into University of Alberta for an M.Eng in Civil Engineering. Please follow the LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION to start gathering documents. Why are your parents accompanying you to Canada? It's better if you apply alone while your parents stay back in Nigeria and serve as a strong family tie in your application. When you eventually get into Canada and want them to visit you, then you can file for a visitor's visa for them (parents). At the moment what you require is a study Visa, and thus you should be applying for a study permit for yourself and not a visitor's visa. As stated on IRCC office website, international students must show proof of fund for the first year tuition and 10,000CAD for living expenses and must exhibit that they are capable of funding for the subsequent years of study. With that being said, the minimum amount that should reflect in your Sponsor's account is dependant upon your tuition fees at the University of Alberta. Your sponsor should have more than your tuition fees and living expenses as well available balance left for his business, personal welfare and family. It will end in praise |
Sara25:She knows her area of specialization more than we do. I would advise she should go for a program that is reasonably in light with her teaching experience. This is the logical way of showing career progression. It will end in praise. |
Jejelaye01:@Jejelaye01, the op is not asking after the documents to show proof of employment with the company, rather he is requesting for documents for company sponsorship. You guys shouldn't be too fast to comment on a post. Try to understand the question before answering questions. Most often I see people replying to queries here with inappropriate answers which is totally different from what the enquirer is looking for. For the sake of clarity, here is the OP's question in bold; Dovelove543:And below was the response from Ralfudoh with the accurate list of documents for Candidates using employer's company as sponsorship.: ralfudoh: NwanyiOkpa:@NwanyiOkpa, responded saying it looks fishy, this is also because she doesn't understand the OP's question. Please let's not be in a hurry to respond to comments here, let's carefully analyze and understand queries prior to answering them in order to avoid confusion on this thread. It will end in praise. |
peruz:The list of documents you intend submitting with your application are adequate. Also remember to include a job reference letter from your employer and salary bank statement (if any) to confirm the genuineness of your work experience with the new company. Furthermore, a comprehensive and well articulated LOE that would address the previous reasons for your visa refusal must also be considered in this recent application. It will end in praise. |
hapila:You have 85.9% of securing visa with the school. Brock University is a very good institution and all the students I know that used the school got their visa approved. It will end in praise |
Chalva:A big Congratulations on your TRV crowning success. Wow As always, it will end in praise. |
NwanyiOkpa:I think you got it wrong, the applicant is asking whether the wife can use his biological sister and the husband as the sponsor to her wife's application. It will end in praise. |
gugu40:It's more credible and compelling if you're the main sponsor to her visa application. This will demonstrate how established you're in your home country and also substantiate your wife's bonafide intention of studying in Canada. Given that the principal applicant (wife) is being sponsored by a third party, the visa officer will have considerable concerns about the applicant's home ties and for this reason might weaken her application. There are several questions that accompanies third party sponsorship such as; Funds accessibility by the applicant during her stay in Canada, the reasons why they are spending so much on her for a degree that is not so lucrative (masters in Conflict studies) and can possibly be attained here in Nigeria, without having to incur such huge cost to study the program in Canada, as well as what the sponsors stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship etc.... Your landed property is not a liquid asset and can't be used in lieu of proof of fund for her application. As stated by IRCC; POF must fall into the following categories: 1. Cash (bank statements) 2. Documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.) 3. Documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders) With respect to the above explanations and advices given by me, I would strongly advise that you should include your bank statement if this would warrant you meeting close friends and relatives to fund your account before your wife can file for her application. It will end in praise |
Onweke:You don't require any signature for online applications. Upon uploading of documents into its various columns as per the online checklist, you will be promoted to use your full name as written on your passport to electronically sign and transmit the documents to IRCC for due visa processing. It will end in praise |
DeeWan:These courses are not difficult as you think. It's a prerequisite online course that can be completed within a month after proper training and preparations on ground. I believe she will be able to meet up with the grade stated (70%). On another note, if she doesn't meet up with the minimum requirement from the school she might not have a seat reserved for her in the accepted term and the 200k+ which she must have spent for the online courses will be forfeited. There are good chances of securing a VISA with Royal Roads University BC, Canada. Although only a few number of applicants got their visa with this school, while others are still struggling after couple of refusals. Meanwhile, this is not to discourage you in any way but that's my honest observations about the school. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns as regards this matter, don't hesitate to seek for counsel. It will end in praise. |
Legacyedition:If you finished with a 2.2, a post graduate diploma program should be your best bet. On the contrary, if you graduated with a 2.1, you should be applying for a direct masters program which shows an academic progression. Fanshawe and Langara college are good schools, your visa chances are great with these schools only when your intention is driven by a lawful purpose which is strictly to study and depart from Canada after studies. It will end in praise |
hapila:Well, the both options are feasible and achievable and it also boils down to the rationality packaging of your application. I always advise prospective candidates with spouse and kids to apply alone while their family remains behind because the applicant's family would serve as a strong tie to the application. On the other hand, if you have adequate funds and significant ties back home, I don't see the need applying alone since you have tangible assets that can compel your departure from Canada after studies. I can barely count how many applicants I have assisted that applied with their family and still got approved. I think what the visa officer is looking after is to see that you're well established in your home country and the fact that you've adequate funds to cover for your family in Canada without recourse to public funds. In a nutshell, either ways works flawlessly. The onus is on you to decide if you have the financial resources to embark on moving at once with your entire family. It will end in praise |
Anon123:A post Baccalaureate diploma in Business Management should work perfectly for the applicant since he has been in the marketing and sales department for over 10 years now. I don't see any herculean task here as you perceive it as per convincing the VO because there is a logical progression in the applicant's career and the bonafide intention of the applicant in pursuing the proposed program in Canada can be confirmed through his vast working experiences. It will end in praise |
Ubmec:A Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Management should be the best option for the application because it covers all aspects of business including marketing and accounting etc. It will end in praise |
Cflow10:From the applicant's illustrations - He has been guaranteed a scholarship of 9500CAD in a University in Canada. The total fee is 27,000CAD, leaving him with a net payment of 17,500 CAD. The stated that the school allows payment per term over the 3 terms. That he intends to pay per term, and have paid the first term fee of 5,800 CAD. Now, the Net Payment of 17,500 - 5,800 = 11,700CAD *Applicant's first year living expenses as advised by IRCC = 10,000CAD *Miscellaneous Expenses = 3,000CAD Total Net payment + Annual Living Expenses + Miscellaneous Expenses (11,700+10,000+3,000)= $24,700CAD. 24,700CAD X 286 (current conversion rate CAD to N) = N7,064,200. Given the above calculations, applicant's sponsor is expected to have 9.5M and above i.e if the sponsor doesn't have much dependants. I hope you understand my calculations. It will end in praise |
DeeWan:I know about the Masters of Global Management at Royal Roads University, BC, Canada. For your information, the prerequisite course in "Academic Writing and Critical Thinking" will cost you 200k+ in Naira and you're ought to complete this short prerequiste courses prior to your enrollment into the main master's program. More so, you will pay a tuition deposit of $5,000CAD to secure a seat in the accepted term. Now, this tells you how much knowledge I have for this program and other programs in Canada. ![]() My advise is that you shouldn't spend that 200k because its non-refundable, I would suggest you pay the 5KCAD to secure your seat and apply for your study Visa. Alternatively, apply to University of Windsor for her Master of Management in International Accounting and Finance. It's a good program and cost 31kCAD for the 16 months and Visa chances are high with this school than Royal Roads University. These are my valid observations so far since my 4 years of enriching experiences in this process. It will end in praise. |
psalmlolese:Please proceed with the submission of his application. IRCC have confirmed that no application will be rejected for non-compliance of documents (e.g biometrics, updated LOA/SOA, and medicals) as every applicant will be afforded 90 days to provide any additional documents. Also, its imperative to let you know that the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic has drastically increased the processing times of most applications received by IRCC and this has resulted to delays in getting feedbacks especially for first time application. It will end in praise |
Onweke:Its not possible to receive medicals when you've not completed your biometrics enrollment. As I said before, only the R10 check will be carried out by the Immigration Case Analyst at the High of Commission of Canada while the main immigration officer waits for your biometrics details prior to processing files. Biometrics is very important in the Canadian immigration policy. It will end in praise. |
wongwe:I would prefer using domicilary account statement than a regular Naira Bank statement because it exhibits that funds are already in convertible currency and can be easily transported to Canada. The visa officer at the High Commission of Canada approves it. It will end in praise. |
Propofol12:Yes it's possible. A written declaration (letter of sponsorship & Affidavits) and financial statements must suffice for the two sponsors. It will end in praise |

I would say just 1% of the companies in Nigeria will do this except if you family owns the company and ethically, this is wrong. A simple recommendation letter and a study leave with pay will suffice.
