A car is an asset, but what we call a depreciating asset! If you spend 2 or 3 years in Canada the car u left in Nigeria has depreciated in value by a substantial amount, so it’s that enough to bring you home? Absolutely no! Sometimes google can answer the questions you people come here to ignorantly argue about. And the fact you came here to ask people’s opinions, you should not be rude when they give u answers you don’t want to hear. Nobody is paying anyone for information here, we are all giving it freely. So being nice will mot cost you anything.
I still don't understand why prospective applicants have this sense of entitlement on this thread. Exactly my point, no one is paying for anyone's time and advices given here. For the fact that this is a faceless platform, one should be very mindful of their choice of words especially when replying to others. There should be some level of respect and composure on this platform. Let us learn to hide our dirty linen in public discussions and always exhibit the act of tolerance at any slightest provocation. I believe we are all matured and If one is not satisfied with any advice given by a fellow group member, you're free make your personal research without using harsh comments to express our opinions.

I can barely count how many people that I have personally assisted from scratch in this Canadian Visa process which after a few months on arrival in Canada deleted my number LOL grin grin.. i.e after sharing their testimonies on this thread. They didn't even recall back then when there were at my beck and call and the tremendous impact I have instilled in them as at the time of their application. grin grin grin grin. Nigerians we strong o. shocked shocked shocked. How do you think we can grow?. In spite of everything, the discreditable lack of gratitude by these set of people doesn't change my motives nor stop me from helping others reach their Canadian goals faster and easily as well as solving their problems faster and efficiently on this thread. That's why my signature on my profile reads "BE GOOD TO PEOPLE, FOR NO REASON"

Why am I saying all this? I'm urging everyone to try as much as possible to tolerate others and most times overlook certain things. We shouldn't make it look as if we are fighting for something special or in competition with others on this thread. I believe everyone on this thread is here for a purpose which is to acquire relevant informations that will be helpful in their applications. Please let's stick to that narrative as we progress in achieving success.

Thank you for your response to my enquiry.
I appreciate it. What I believe Dom means is that a personal ownership of a car shows some form of economic stability in the resident country, even if it may not by interpreted as home tie. If attaching its documents to prove and even projecting it as a source of income in view, won't adversely affect an application, then I think it's ok to add it.
I didn't even know that car docs can be added until I read uploaded documents from previous threads and thought to ask what it aimed at.
You can add it in your application and explain how it will be of an economic benefit while you're away for studies.

My best wishes are with you.

Of course, landed properties might be considered more than vehicles because they are usually more expensive. That doesn't mean car ownership would not be considered or insignificant as you claimed. A vehicle is a property as long as it is not financed or leased. Your car is part of your wealth as long as it is paid in full. So yes, a vehicle is an economic tie because it can be converted to money. Obviously, the more you have the better but it is wrong to say it would not have an impact. That's totally wrong.
An economic tie means financial tie or asset and that is why it is important to include an evaluation from a registered chartered accountant in your application

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/eligibility-admissibility-considerations.html
In view of the attachment, I can't see where they mentioned Car ownership to be an economic tie, level of establishment or property for PA study visa application. From the wisdom of my experiences no visa officer will consider car ownership as a positive assessment in analysing the overall admissibilty of an applicant for studies in Canada.

I will not go back and forth on this matter. Mine is to advise prospective applicants for free. It's the discretion of the applicant to implement the advices given or do what they believe would work for them.

I kind of disagree with the bolded. Your car is part of your asset and it may have an impact on your application. You just need to let the officer know the monetary value. Some cars worth more than land my brother. I hear people attach landed documents but they don't tell the officer the value. So what's the point? The point of a prooving economic tie is just to show that you're doing well in your home country.

Yes, you may choose to sell your car just as how you can sell your land and houses.
Visa officers regard immovable assets (landed property, building, established businesses, shares in bank) to Car ownership. Applicant can include car documents in their application however it's not an economic tie as you claim neither doesn't it in anyway exhibit level of establishment to compel the PA return after studies. As a matter of fact car is a liability and not an investment. Immediate family members (spouse and kids) are considered as cogent reasons to return home than any tie you can think of.

Hello team, is it smarter to justify attaching land and car documents stating that they'll be on lease in my absence to generate income, or just state them as property owned without the lease part? I'm wondering if the lease part will suggest sell off to VO
PS - the income part is not to add to living expenses o because the finances required are all available. Just wondering why people present car as home tie for 2 years study. Will the car be parked that long or what? Lolz
Pee2Jay9:
@Frankrobbn1, anybody else, pls address this -
what can be a valid reason for submitting car documents? Will stating that land and housing will be leased by counter productive?
Car is not a significant tie that can compel your return home after studies. Visa officers are intelligent beings and they know you can easily sell this car once your TRV has been approved grin. You can include it in your visa application but be informed that it doesn't add up or make any impact in the application.

I will prefer if you submit the landed property document that will be leased in your absence to generate income in Nigeria. Include every documents to show evidence of the lease agreements, pictures, and land C of O. By so doing, also elaborate on your social ties and professional ties in Nigeria which you bank upon and must return back to them at the completion of your studies in Canada.

Hello sir,

I really appreciate all your efforts and responses. Please, in my offer letter, my school put in fees for first and second academic sessions in a table and the third column summed them up.

My question is when filling my application for study permit, the part that says cost of tuition...should I put the combined amount for the whole program or just the one for the first session?

Secondly, it is very well with the bank statements I have and I'm thinking of filling in 8,000 CAD for room an board and 2,000 CAD for OTHERS.

Boss, please do you think that will be a good idea? Your response will be highly appreciated. BTW, the school is University of Alberta [M.ENG Program].
Jermaineayo:
Hello sir, please I asked you a question before about funds.
Please guide me here.
Thanks for the amazing compliments and elite wishes.

As stated by IRCC, you're ought to show proof of funds for the first year of studies and the ability to fund for the subsequent years of study in Canada. Thus, when filling your study permit application IMM1294E form, you're only required to indicate your first year tuition and not for the entire duration of the program.

I always advise prospective applicants to fill ROOM AND BOARD as $10,000CAD. Whilst, OTHERS (MISCELLANEOUS) will be $2,000CAD or $3,000CAD.

Please let me know if my response satisfies your enquiry.

Submitted application barely one month ago and this is what I got this morning

Dear Bleep,

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and/or your future prospects and plans.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Sincerely,

I regret to hear your study visa was delayed within the space of three (3) weeks. Please put yourself together as this is but a stepping stone to your TRV ladder of success.

Recently, I personally figured out that there were massive number of rejections with same reasons of proposed program not being in tandem with applicant's level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and/or your future prospects and plans.

"From what I deduced from these reasons, is that the Visa officer is not satisfied that you're a genuine applicant and the fact that you're using study permit as a means to relocate to Canada rather than educational advancement"

I would best suggest that you shouldn't be in a haste to submit your application the subsequent time. Take your time to carefully understand the factual reasons behind the refusal by ordering your GCMS NOTES. If you check at the beginning part of this part 17, I have dropped an authorized link on how you can order for your notes. This notes will arrive within 25days as there are few applicants that are requesting for it at the moment. Therefore, once you've received your notes, do well to share with other fellow members on this thread, so we could know how best to tackle those refusal reasons that were raised by the Visa officer. There is no immigration refusal reason without a solution, hence why its pertinent to obtain this GCMS notes as soon as possible and seek counsel from a knowledgeable person.

Never give up, your victory is right around the corner.

Thanks a lot boss, I understand.

My major concern is that I stated that I volunteered at a clinic and that I also had affiliations with health clubs when I was in secondary school but have no documents to show as evidence for these. So, I wanted to ask if me not having to provide any docs for the volunteer/affiliations is a problem?
Volunteer experiences helps alot in any VISA application to Canada particularly for studies. Do everything within your power to get these letters from those organisations. It will really pave way and place you in a better prospect of convincing the visa officer that you have first-hand experience and undiluted passion in taking care of ill people/patients. Reference letters will also substantiate your claims about your desire to pursue your intended program in Canada.

Pls can you help to review my SOP, it's on pastebin.com site accessible with this.

My application profile and docs:

* I am a secondary school graduate from the year 2018 that just turned 18. I applied to Brandon University to study nursing of which I was admitted for a one-year pre-nursing program (after which I'd be admitted to the full program on passing further requirements for the course).
* I have prepared my living allowance of up to $11000 CAD and my sponsor, who happens to be my uncle, has paid half of my fees for the session.
* I have the following documents:
****Admission Letter to the Pre-nursing program at Brandon University
****Affidavit of Support from my uncle
****Payslip from my Uncle
****Admission letter
****Receipt of school fees payment
****Bank statement of 6 months from sponsor
****Bank statement of 6 months for myself (already having the living expenses)
****Payment Receipt for my tuition fees
****Payment Receipt for my accommodation
****My birth certificate
****My Father's Death certificate
****Family tree chart
****Photo evidence to show my relationship with my uncle

This thread has really been helpful and I have been able to go far with my application with the help I got here. Thank you all so much.
I think the documents you have listed out are perfectly adequate to land you an approval if luck finds your application. Again, Over my 4 years of existence and valuable experiences on this thread, i have come to learn that its very difficult to get VISA with this Pre-Nursing program at Brandon University. Majority of persons I know like 7-10 of them were refused on the basis of their purpose of visit. I would rather prefer you go for a direct Bachelor's degree which doesn't require any prerequisite courses to be completed prior to your enrollment into the main program.

Please for your good and if you don't want the contents of your letter to be plagiarized by others on this thread. Kindly remove the link you've attached with this post. If you require any assistance in terms of SOP vetting you can contact any of the knowledgeable and trustworthy individuals on this thread.

Lol you're such a hilarious guy. I have given my guidelines on countless occasion on this thread on how to write a convincing statement of purpose for a study visa applications. However, If prospective applicants can take their time to read through the past threads, I'm very certain that the information they will have will surpass their expectations. Applicants should always bear in mind that no two applications are the same and every individual cases differs. The same way goes to SOP, another applicant SOP can only guide you but plagiarizing will diminish the PA chances of securing a TRV as he/she is already exhibiting to the visa officer that they are not a genuine applicant with bonafide intention to study.

The both SOP's and several others are identical with no difference. So there is no new information/facts for him to copy. He was shocked to see the same info in another applicant's letter. Please those of us who claim to be SOP writers Making it seem like the statement of purpose for visa processing is Gold (We Nigerians make a really big deal out of things too much ) yes I know your SOP is meant to be Good and all .
But where you become wicked is when different individuals contact you to help write the SOP you charge that’s very fine , you get paid and instead of the writer to take out time and do a good job because you was paid for your services , No greed would allow you copy and paste what you have written for 3-4 other people... It doesn’t make sense it’s just pure wickedness and plagiarism ... please let’s endeavour to do the right things as it’s said “Do to others what you wish for yourself”
Please everyone know who you give your SOP to help you review or write cause I have seen 4 SOPs from different people that are the same on this thread

The bolded is so true. See the attached my response to an applicant after reviewing his personal statement of purpose. The truth is that plagiarism automatically diminishes the chances of an applicant getting approval.

Aderin0la:
Hello all.

Please I just got accepted to the masters in Medical Biotechnology program at University of Windsor, for Fall 2020 term (tho I started the application since December last year).

I am looking to begin my visa (study permit) application on Monday if possible.

1 am 21 years old, just completed Nysc (hence I don’t really have a full time job but I’m a trainee at a company), and I also have a personal account balance of around 6million (educational funds deposited by my parents). My total cost of attendance for two years is around 12million naira, and I intend to use my uncle (with a different surname) as my sponsor (his bank statement has about 16million naira balance). Do you know if my stats are ok? I also have no direct family member in Canada, except two cousins who are also students. What do you think I can use as my home ties? And what are my chances of approval?
Since your parents can afford to transfer 6Million into your account, what stops them from representing as the main sponsor of your education?

Your chances of gaining an approval looks good, albeit my advise for you is that your biological parents should also come into the picture as your sponsor. The financial burden shouldn't rest upon your uncle which is regarded as a third party sponsorship in the immigration regulations of Canada. The both parties (parents and uncle) should provide their statements to prove their financial support and stability.

With regards to ties that can compel your return home after studies.

I would strongly suggest that you invest more effort in constructing a persuasive and concise SOP that will demonstrate that you're a bona-fide applicant and would depart upon the completion of your studies.

The SOP should extensively and convincingly explain the lucrativeness of such program (Master in Biotechnology) in your home country considering it's exorbitant tuition fees. Is there huge demand for expertise in this field in your home country as well as financially rewarding that can offest the cost of the program in Canada. The range of opportunities the program in Canada will bring to you as a person. Is the program not offered in any institution in Nigeria of which bolstered your resolve to undertake a foreign education.

The personal statement should discuss what you intend to achieve in a short-term and long-term basis. You should explain how this master's program is of utmost importance to your career advancement. More importantly, the difference you could make when you return to your country e.g you being a consultant in the long-term by providing critical biotechnology solutions to multinational companies and government as well as using this avenue for creation of wide range of employment opportunities for teeming youths in your home country etc...

Also attach proof of properties located in your country of residence preferably in your name(or parent's name that you're directly heir to). These assets could be land, house or a registered business etc..

Additionally, explain in your personal statement that your immediate family members (aged parents, siblings, spouse and kids) is well off in Nigeria and aren't accompanying you to Canada. Go as far as mentioning the things you share in common with your siblings that would warrant your departure after duties.

If you have any financial obligations or moral responsibilities which falls on you as a leader in any of these organizations - military, community, church and family you should indicate that you will return home to continue active participation and attendance in meetings. Therefore, as a matter of urgency, it is expected of you to come back to Nigeria to occupy your position. (Following this, A letter from any of these bodies would help).

I hope this information is useful to your enquiry.

Hello,

Congrats on your admission.

To be honest with you, these days it's more difficult to get approvals when your sponsor is not a parent. Why will an Uncle spend N12m on your education? Does he not have children and dependants? These are the questions the Visa Officer will ask?

My best bet, since you have 6m. you can co-sponsor yourself. Let your uncle be a co-sponsor. Also, you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he's actually your uncle since he has a different surname.

Remember you only have to show proof that you have enough money to take care of your first year in school plus CAD10,000 for living expenses.

Good luck.
Your suggestions are valid. However, I have concerns with the bolded.

Why will someone at the age of 21, a fresh graduate for that matter without any prior work experience be the main sponsor of her visa application? How does she justify the source of the sudden wealth even though the parents were the ones that transferred the money to her?

I think it will be more reasonable in the sight of the visa officer if the parents of the PA can provide their bank statements as the main sponsor whilst the uncle be the co-sponsor of her studies.

Mind you, IRCC clearly mention on her website, that applicant/sponsor must show proof of first year of studies and the ability to fund for the subsequent year. So, don't misinterpret this by advising the applicant to stick to POF for only the first academic year.

More so,I would like to know if I should add the other account that shows my monthly salary but does not have inflow and outflow aside my cheque deposit or I should go ahead with the previous account or add the new account to my application
My direct advise without taking much of your time is to submit the bank statement that shows proof of evidence of salary payment about your current job at the agricultural firm.

Can I go ahead to submit all the other documents without it, can it be waived by any means?

Please help urgently!
You can submit the other supporting documents of the business without the tax clearance certificate.

Bro I don't think WES evaluation is compulsory for all courses at Uregina. There are specific courses where that is needed.
Oh really? Did you secure admission in the school? The applicants I know had to evaluate their credentials before admisson was granted.
