peruz:I saw your PM with others, please give me some time to get in touch with you. |
Congratulations @ DMerciful and Dedecoder on your TRV approvals. As for those that were rejected, don't waste time quickly order for your GCMS notes, seek counsel here if you have any concerns, gather relevant documents that will be helpful in your next application, restrategize by putting up a persuasive LOE/SOP, Get a knowledgeable person here to vet the letter and make corrections where applicable and At the end,....... Hand everything over to God because it can only be him. To those that have applied and are awaiting response from IRCC, your turn to share your success story is not far from now. It shall end in praises for everyone here. |
peruz:Applicant will have to demonstrate what he has been doing since after his NYSC till date. Volunteering at the moment while making plans for his studies abroad (it's justifiable). Having said that, he must provide adequate evidence that he inherited the funds in his account from his late family member. This proof can be documented with the aid of a family lawyer by presenting the deceased written and signed will before he/she departed from this life. |
peruz:The visa officer will like you to satisfy them that you're gainfully employed in your home country and that the prospects of getting a job when you lose your current one is considerably high. This satisfies the visa officer that you won’t leave your job when you travel to Canada. On the contrary, if you're a fresh graduate, being unemployed as at the time of your application won't affect your application. You can get a letter from an establishment stating that you're presently volunteering (non-paid) at the firm. The applicant has to look for a school in Canada that fits his area of specialization this will determine his cost of studies in Canada. Also, bear in mind that the sponsor will also set aside 10,000$CAD for the applicant's first year living expenses. |
Emmaokudu:It's not mandatory that you must include the Birth Certificates of your family members. Their international passport bio date pages or age declaration can substitute for the birth certificates. |
ic3tipz:You can contact me through my signature and I will respond to your email at my own pace. |
Austacus:My honourable salute goes to you Austacus . You're deep-rooted and committed to the process. |
Ponomote:WAEC Certificate is not a compulsory TRV requirement for a Post graduate applicant heading for PGC, Master's or PhD. |
wolex2090:Are you currently seeking for an undergraduate admission into a Canadian institution? WAEC is a compulsory requirement for your admittance into the university. Assuming you're a heading for a post graduate studies in Canada, WAEC is not a compulsory requirement for visa application, as I have seen folks that didn't include one with their application and were approved. I hope this answers your question |
johnsonlawson89:A medical exam done in advance (upfront) is know to speed an application. On the other hand, if IRCC requests for a medical exam to be completed while processing your application, your chances of securing a TRV is relatively high. Some of the tests which are pertinent to be conducted for immigration to Canada are: 1-) Full Body check up 2-) Chest X-ray 3-) Blood and Urine Test 4-) HIV Test 5-) Syphilis Test 6-) Eye Checkup In my little opinion, I would prefer you allow them request for it. With this, you can easily predict the success rate of your application. Above all, the ball is on your court to decide which best suit you. |
DMerciful:Calling an employer for verification is at the discretion of the visa officer and not a set standard. There have been cases where they do so, but for the majority, I would say they do not. I believe they only do this if they are not convinced the business is legitimate or they wish to confirm your duties directly with your employer.. The best option is to inform your HR and give heads up before submitting your application. |
Johnsonkelvin:Not VERY necessary as it may sound. However, if PA is currently employed in his/her home country, PA might decide to include one with their application to evidence his/her personal financial establishment. Above all, is not a compulsory requirement as far as PA's parents can cater for their expenses while in Canada without being a burden to the Canadian government. |
wolex2090:Hi, Considering that you've applied for a US Visa in the past and got denied with same age on your passport you can't reverse it any more. You should have effected the change long ago before applying for the visa. There must be consistency at all event with the Information you've filled on your US application form with that of Canada. I would suggest you don't complicate issues for yourself but continue with it and exclude your WAEC result when applying for your Canada study visa. |
Emmaokudu:This is a parental sponsorship. As a consequence, your father don't have to transfer the required funds for your studies into your account. |
Abbeyme:A bank certificate showing evidence of available balance can't be used for a Canadian Study visa as POF. You're better off showing a history of your Sponsor's 4-6 months bank statements. |
sillysassysally:Yes, the letter of sponsorship MUST be printed on her official business letter headed paper. |
johnsonlawson89:1-) All documents should be uploaded in PDF format, except your passport photograph which will be in JPEG and the size between 60KB to 240KB with a dimension 420X540. Follow this STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE TO BEGIN YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION 2-) ONLINE AND PAPER ROUTE WHICH IS THE BEST? 3-) LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR YOU AND YOUR UNCLE I hope this helps. |
SpongeBobSP:United Parcel Service (UPS) Logistics is a good one and their services are commendable. |
Folaniyi2020:All relevant information pertaining to how you can secure a Canadian study visa can be found on this platform. Please do take advantage of the opportunity. |
Emmaokudu:The total sum of your first year Tuition + Room and Board + Others with a margin difference of 2KCAD-3KCAD = Funds available for my stay. Thus, it should be filled out this way; TUITION = $18,000 ROOM & BOARD = $10,000 OTHERS = $2,000 FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR MY STAY = $32,000 |
Amahjosh:Hi, Please this question has been answered before. Kindly check my PREVIOUS POST |
Okattamgbee:Okay. I'll reach out to you |
gr8full2God:Hello gr8full2God, I noticed you have asked this question countless times on this thread and no one attempted to answer you. Sorry about that!. ![]() First and foremost, I'll start by congratulating you on your admission into the university. In respect to your questions, Age has never pose to be a point at issue to a study visa to Canada so long as you can carefully account for your study gaps and explain reasonably what you've been up-to until this date, What made you not to further your education until now?, What makes you think that you can cope with the stringent Canadian system of education if paradventure you're been extended the privilege to study in Canada? All of these must be well substantiated in a logical modus operandi in your SOP. Taking into account the fact that you're going for a computer science program which is reasonable in light with your OND certificate in computer engineering, your chances are halfway. For this reason, I would suggest you say after your OND, you had too many options for studies but was not sure which one to choose. You never wanted to settle for something less just for the sake of earning a degree. You made so many efforts to further your undergraduate studies here in Nigeria but all attempts proved abortive as you were been offered a program you had no interest in. Ever since then, you've been working in the IT department as a programmer in your father's company. Your sole intention of doing this, is to spend some time in the business to understand what area that needs improvement and focus. Having worked there since 2011 till date, you discovered that the IT sector is the area that needs more improvement. With this discovery, you now made up your mind to further your studies abroad (Canada) so as to continue with your passion in the ever growing and unprecedented field of IT and potentially enhance your capabilities towards managing your father's business by applying new technologies in order to yield a remarkable result in the business and for her clients. Additionally, include professional certifications like C++, Java, Data Structure, and other programming languages... this will satisfy the visa officer that you're truly a bonafide applicant and have been following your passion since you last left school. Attached is a screenshot from an applicant who is 51 years of age, going for a Post secondary diploma and got his study permit approved earlier last year 2018 and also an applicant on this reputable thread whose wife got approved in October, 2018 with huge study gaps. So it's very possible you can get yours as well only with a convincing letter. On the other hand, you need to provide a notarized affidavit explaining the discrepancy between your dad's name and yours. Perhaps, you could put the blame on the typist while processing your dad's document. Please note that the information on how you can cover up for your study gaps as drafted by me is a guide and musn't be plagiarized. . You may wish to add more/remove some points to what I have written.I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out here, should you require further guidance.

MsJu:If that be the case, I'll try see if I can message her on your behalf. Hope that would be fine by you? |
Cappymayor:The visa officer considers your immigration status in your visiting country as well as your ties to your country of residence. What matters the most in the visa officer's assessment is where you will be returning back to after studies. Given that you've a valid study permit in Russia, you're absolutely eligible to apply for a Canadian study permit from there without having to return to your home land, while also providing significant ties to Nigeria (spouse and kids). Siblings have never in the Canadian law been regarded as a tie to an applicant's application. However, having fixed and unliquidated funds in your bank account has been proven to be a tie to PA's home country. When all is said and done, your case is far different from that of the applicant bearing in mind that he is a visitor's visa holder in Abu Dhabi which makes him ineligible to apply from overseas. |
MsJu:Thanks for the compliment.... Its sad to relate that I never had close communication with her aside from the fact that i answered some of her questions here before she secured her TRV.... Have you tried sending a PM across to her and see if she could respond? |
Kay81:Include the following documents with your application 1-) The offer letter from the academy 2-) Your personal bank statement (that can cover for the miscellaneous expenses and flight itinerary to and from) 3-) Birth Certificate 4-) International Passport 5-) Letter from the academy stating that you're being sponsored by them 6-) Your ties to Nigeria (Landed properties of your parents, birth certificates of each members of your family) etc.. 7-) Professional certifications that you've acquired as an athlete which made you deemed fit for the Sports program you're accepted in. 8-) Copy of a reference letter from your employer 9-) All educational credentials (WAEC, Degree Certificates etc..) 10) All Immigration processing forms ( family form (IMM5645E), and study permit form (IMM1294E). 11-) Letter of explanation... detailing why you're going for this sports program, the lucrativeness in Nigeria and how the knowledge and expertise you would gain from your international exposure can be translated to your home country. |
Kay81:Are you sponsored by the academy in which you're enrolled? What's the lucrativeness of this offer in Nigeria after your authorized stay in Canada? I think about how this can be possible since applicants with genuine intention find it very difficult to get a Canadian Visa, let alone an athlete's. |
wolex2090:Hello wolex2090, Sorry to have mistakenly skipped your question and answering subsequent ones. Now, to your question,----- Yes, The Canadian immigration department will definitely figure out your age from the US immigration department as both countries and other allied nations exchange information regarding to immigration matters (how well do you think they respect your privacy?) They have got all the information on your passport; a second photo of you; your fingerprints; your signature; every answer you have ever written on a visa application; your travel history; your financial information; your family information; your telephone information; your Internet information; they have thousands of external bodies (background checker's) around the world clipping and scanning newspaper articles and searching web sites for information on you(LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc...). All of these are carried out with the aid of some of the world’s most powerful computers. Remember while you were talking, the consular officer at the US embassy was busy adding/typing your comments to their database, to be visible at all your future visa interviews and to some first-rate nations whom they have signed agreement with to exchange Immigration information. The more you talk, the more the visa officer types. With that being said, the best possible way to maneuver this, can only be on the account that you declared in your application form that you made use of a compensated agent in your application. Then, you wouldn't face any challenges. With this, you can feasibly address the issue on your LOE. Aside from that, I don't think you can scale through this tough path. |
Tlontin:I am occupied right now boss. Getting me to vet this letter will take a lot of time. Other knowledgeable persons here can assist |
Godatwork23:I knew a day like this would come...Finally, No more steady phone calls! ![]() Congratulations Josh, I am happy for you brother. I am delighted to be part of your TRV success story. Thanks for your best wishes and AMEN to them. I wish you success as you en-route to Canada. |
yemilasko:Hello yemilasko, Congratulations on your TRV approval. When you arrive at the POE the immigration officer will request for the following documents from you: - 1-) Your stamped visa passport; 2-) The study permit approval letter from the visa office (correspondence letter/letter of introduction) 3-) The acceptance letter from your school 4-) Proof that you have enough money to support yourself in Canada and 5-) Any relevant reference letters or papers that you were advised to bring with you. You could be asked any of the following questions to determine your eligibility to enter Canada: 1-) Where do you plan to stay?. 2-) You will be asked if you are bringing in more than $10,000 CAD in cash, stocks, bonds, debentures, bank drafts, cheques, traveller's cheques, money orders, etc. Please make sure you declare it. ( At this point, you could possibly say that your school doesn't require tuition deposit until the first day to start of classes, hence you didn't pay tuition fees upfront. However, you have the funds here with you and will pay immediately you've settled down or as soon as the school resumes) This is pretty much reasonable. I believe it's not gonna be a problem for you. 3-) You will be asked if you are bringing any food, roots, meat or other edibles.. Please declare them (e.g Gala, palm oil are not allowed). 4-) You will be asked if you are carrying any drugs for which you do not have a valid prescription. 5-) What are you going to study? 6-) At which institution? 7-) How long are your studies? 8-) What do you intend to do after you have finished your studies? 9-) Some Immigration officers might ask you "How is Nigeria? Is it a nice country to stay?... They already know that nigeria is a country where the system doesn't work that's why everyone is rushing to Canada for a better living, so please don't fall for this question, it's meant to trick you. Always try to speak good about Nigeria and the reason why you must return. Canadians are very friendly, thus the immigration officer will be smiling while asking you these questions. So be polite when answering them. Finally, never try to conceal any information from them!Upon answering the aforementioned questions. The immigration officer will decide if you can enter Canada and how long you can stay, and if everything is okay, the officer will issue your study permit and you will also be redirected to a sperate counter where you will be issued your SIN (Social Insurance Number) which makes you eligible to work 20hours/per week during school session and 40hours/per week during holidays (spring). As per your last question; you can get first hand information about getting an apartment in Toronto through the LIVING IN CANADA THREAD I hope you find the above information useful to what you seek. |
