peruz:Environmental technology has to with the application of technology to environmental problems whilst, Agricultural economics & extension is an applied field of economics concerned with the application of economic theory in optimizing the production and distribution of Agricultural food etc... As a consequence, there are no rational correlation between both programs. It's normal for applicant's to change a career path. On other note, applicant must write convincingly to why he is not furthering in the discipline of his previous studies. He might want to quote the associated incentives of his career back home after the completion of the program in Canada, employment opportunities, career goals etc... as a reason for a change while putting up his letter. |
IbikunleBukky:So many applicants have suffered for same difficulty especially on the express entry thread. While reading through the thread, I came across applicants who have written the IELTS exam five consecutive times (75kX5= 375K) and yet were unable to achieve the required band score. Cc: GMs....... If your case boils down to this, then you're better off applying for a second master's degree or rather a PhD. |
Ohialighili:With your profile, your sporting chance of securing a Canadian study permit is to opt for a master's degree as advanced diploma is way lower to your already completed degree. |
Bleuocean:The university of Manitoba |
Mudicua:Please contact Austacus for this. Cc: Austacus, be kind to assist. |
GMs:Hello, Go for Express Entry and become a permanent resident of Canada. It's far far better than a study permit (TRV). As a permanent resident, you have the right to: 1-) Get most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage. 2-) Live and work without restrictions anywhere in Canada. 3-) Pay the same tuition rate with the Canadians. 4-) Be eligle to apply for Canadian citizenship within 3 years under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Etc.. Do you want to leave all of these for a temporary resident visa? I would suggest you've a rethink over this and exploit this option. Thank me later. ![]() |
neverlosehope:Why is it incorrect? Everyone's situation is unique and as such treated differently, what worked for you might not work for the other. Moreover, I found out from your profile that you've acquired enormous travel histories that would add to the visa officer's assessment that you're likely to return home after visit. I am not in the objection that family application can't be attainable. However, due to the fact that the applicant was refused on the basis of her purpose of visit to Canada which encompasses with several refusal reasons ranging from inadequate ties, course correlation between previous studies and current activity, as well as poorly written study plan. Thus, why i suggested she apply alone in an effort to evidence that her current situation has substantively changed and would merit a TRV. In summary, the applicant should order for their GCMS Note so as to have a clearer picture of what went wrong with the application as we might likely be dwelling on the basis of our assumptions. |
gig1005:Hi boss, She would need an LOE to address the concerns of the visa officer. I have responded to your PM. |
Damlovey:That would not be a problem to your application since you truthfully indicated that you've been denied visa in the past. Your Passport number will automatically be used to regenerate the UCI number. |
gig1005: gig1005:Hi gig1005, As other members of the thread has suggested. In her next application, she should apply alone. Once she has successfully gotten her TRV, she can then file an application for her accompanying dependents to Canada. This process will boost her chances of securing a TRV as well as showing that she has significant ties to her home country. Having said that, It's very difficult for her accompanying dependents to be refused a TRV (kids) and SOWP (spouse) after she must have received a study permit because the Canada’s commitment to family unification clearly stated that international students and their families have the opportunity to experience Canadian life together. Whether it is for a few months or for several years, international students will be comforted to know that their loved ones can be nearby as they pursue their dreams of obtaining a Canadian education. Above all, she should start now by putting up a cogent letter of explanation that will address the reason for her visa refusal and convincingly demonstrate that her current situation has substantively changed and why she is a bonafide applicant that would merit a study permit and depart after her visit. |
gig1005:What did you fill as her current activity on her study permit application form IMM1294? Yes, you can include the information on her next application that she is presently serving her home country and will be done in 2 months time. I have seen applicants who got approvals even while active on their NYSC program. |
sillysassysally:This is awesome! Keep it up |
Omarzx:To correct a form after application submission, you have to fill out the complete form where the error lies and send it across to Kenya (Nairobi) Immigration department via this email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side your FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. Also send the updated form through THE NAIROBI WEBFORM In the body of the mail, you should state that during your application process the form (QUOTE THE NAME OF THE FORM) that was wrongly filled and now you're attaching with this mail the amended one. Hence, you would request that the form be appended with your ongoing application and updated on your MyCIC account within the shortest possible timeframe. Lastly, thank them for the success so far in processing your TRV application. |
Timothyphillips:I am thy humble servant to command. Thanks for the appreciation! |
Timothyphillips:Simon Fraser University is a good institution. There have never been a misconception that getting a PR and a job for your spouse after graduation is difficult. Fortunately, this applicant Godatwork23 got his TRV approval last week and he is heading to Simon Fraser University for his Master's, you might want to contact him if you need further guidance from him. |
Gunit87:Online application forms aren't meant to be signed. After successful completion and uploading of documents into their various sections through your MyCIC account, you will be redirected to a fresh page where you will be prompted to use your name as an electronic signature. |
peruz:There are no set out rules for the number of words that will be suitable for an SOP. You can write as much as you can provided that it's persuasive, straight forward and concise. A 2-3 pages SOP is adequate for a first time applicant. Therefore, your SOP should cover the following core areas; 1-) Describe your academic and professional background briefly, 2-) The program of choice, 3-) The school, 4-) Why you wish to undertake your program in Canada not Nigeria considering the high cost of international students and the local option available in your home country, 5-) Financial Provisions, how you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working and no recourse to public funds, 6-) Future Goals and Prospects, what you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future and to your country men, 7-) Your home ties to Nigeria that can motivate your return home after authorized stay. This can be your immediate family members, registered business, landed properties, investments with the bank, spouse and kids. Lastly, while drafting your SOP make an effort to back your points up with an evidence as this will speak well of you in your absence. Also, give your points in a logical manner, always be neutral and don't keep praising Canada and speaking ill about Nigeria because it will give the visa officer the impression that you're using study permit as means to abscond into Canada rather than educational advancement. |
gatsbym4:Being in the Express Entry pool doesn't implies that you've already applied for a permanent residency of Canada. You only created a profile. The answer here is NO. |
Omarzx:It appears that you're not filling the right information. Please note that the DLI number starts with a letter O not zero (0). The length of your proposed program in Canada i.e start date and end date of the program MUST correlate with what you filled out on your study permit IMM1294 form. These are some of the common mistakes you could be making. More importantly, follow this STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE to LINK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE Don't hesitate to seek help here, if encounter any difficulty along the line. |
adewumiopeyemi:IELTS is an English proficiency test which are primarily taken by applicants who are coming from a non-english speaking country (India, Cameron, Sweden, Germany etc..) so as to ascertain their language proficiency level prior to their acceptance into the institution. Alternatively, IELTS general test are widely used for immigration purposes especially for applicants who are migrating permanently to Canada e.g Express Entry. |
Johnsonkelvin:GCMS Notes takes a minimum of 30-35 days. |
Gunit87:It's same letter with different titles. |
ALT2:It's best you renew it now since is 6 months close after this month. |
adewumiopeyemi:IELTS is not a prerequisite for admission into Canada's DLI especially for Nigerian Applicants whose language instructions/lectures during their undergraduate studies were carried out in English language. |
2roodi:I'm glad to hear it worked for you. Congratulations on your TRV approval. It is important to note that applicants who include SOP with their application do so because they have some clarifications to provide to the visa officer pertaining their personal circumstances. E.g Applicants that have previously applied for visa and was denied, would definitely need to include an SOP/LOE to explain that their current situation has substantively changed and the reason why a study visa should be granted to them. However, in the case that you don't have any explanation to present and you feel your application is upright, You can submit your application without including an SOP/LOE. |
adewumiopeyemi:If you're going for a post graduate studies, IELTS is not required for your admittance into a Canadian institution. |
crusader6:Yes you can. |
Gunit87:It's an optional document. It's not compulsory that you must fill it. |
geofortress:From my discussions with several successful applicants who has secured funding for themselves through potential supervisors in Canada. The bolded is a good sign that the supervisor is willingly and eager to accept you to work under his/her supervision. I'll suggest you go ahead with the application and hope for the best! |
Kenola01:I'll do that at my own pace my Boss! |
missjack:Majority of the Canadian DLI doesn't require you to submit an IELTS test report form prior to your acceptance into the institution. So you have nothing to worry about in view of the fact that you're coming from an English speaking country, Nigeria. |
peruz:It won't have a negative impact on his application. Once he can show that he has been engaged with an activity (volunteering) non paid employee, ......He will be fine...... I know of so many applicants who has followed this approach and are currently studying in Canada. Consequentially, he should get a good letter from an established firm in his home country stating that he has been volunteering until this date. Ensure that his volunteer experience is in tadem with his proposed program in Canada. This will boost his chances of securing a TRV. |
