Crime / SS2 Students Bring Gun, Tear Gas To School To Fight SS3 Seniors In Port Harcourt by Fraust40(m): 3:19pm On May 28
A disturbing video has emerged online showing a government school, CSS Oroworokwu in Port Harourt, where students are seen jumping from a first storey classroom building. According to report, teargas fume allegedly brought by SS2 students sent the entire school population scampering for safety. In the video background, some kept screaming blood of Jesus, begging the students loudly not to jump as caution was disregarded.
Teachers were also seen running for their lives as no one wants to be caught in the reported fight between both classes. As at the time of writing this, there has been no official claim confirming the incident in the state capital of Rivers state. Comments, however, said that the video is a reflection of how the society as failed young ones in the country.
In the video, the students who escaped from the violence were seen breathing a sigh of relief as they all hurried home in their large numbers.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nyesom Wike, the Rivers state governor, stated that the politicisation of security is responsible for the insecurity across the country. While speaking during a courtesy visit by the Charge D’Affairs, embassy of Netherlands at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Wednesday, May 8, Governor Wike said when security issues involve opposition states, the authorities play politics. It was also gathered that the governor said if there is security challenges in any state controlled by the opposition, politics is usually introduced. "The problem we have is the politicisation of security. As an opposition state, once we have security challenges, politics is introduced," he said. He urged the government of Netherlands to give Rivers state the support to tackle insecurity in the state. Wike blamed multinational companies for encouraging insecurity by patronising cultists for surveillance jobs.
Politics / Re: BREAKING: EFCC Arrests Justice Ofili-ajumogobia As Court Strikes Out Corruption by Fraust40(m): 4:29pm On Apr 16
EFCC were being sharp.
In the Nganjiwa Case, a sitting Judge was arraigned without being dismissed by NJC before arraignment. On appeal, the court held the trial court had no jurisdiction to entertain an arraignment of a sitting Judge, and that the court ought to have struck out the case.
The same thing happened here. But sometime during trial, EFCC petitioned NJC, and, after investigations, NJC dismissed Ajumogobia.
However, she had, at that time, already been arraigned as a sitting Judge. Justice Oshodi had no choice but to strike the case out.
A "strike out" is not a "dismissal" or an "acquittal."
A dismissal or acquittal essentially means "go and never return." It operates as res judicata, and you cannot retry the person for any issue related to the subject matter of the charge dismissed or acquitted.
A strike out means "there's something stopping the court from doing anything on this case. Go back, sort that thing out and return." You CAN retry someone for the exact same charge struck out, IF you sort out the issue for which it was struck out.
Right now, Ajumogobia is NOT a sitting Judge, as she has been dismissed by NJC. So, EFCC can retry her. This time, the court will have Jurisdiction. I'm sure that's why they waited to rearrest her.
Her Lawyer lacked foresight. He should've seen this coming from a mile. They should've allowed them to convict her, then Appeal on grounds of Lack of Jurisdiction. The court of Appeal would've set aside the conviction, and that would have had the same effect as an acquittal.

Politics / Re: Onnoghen: Fayose Reacts, Says Buhari Not Different From Adolf Hitler by Fraust40(m): 2:20pm On Jan 26
In my opinion, it seems the language is confusing you. Putting the word "may" before the phrase "not be necessary" is in itself unnecessary, as both words convey the very same idea - POSSIBILITY! Haven stated my opinion, I must add - Law has nothing to do with opinions. Again, do you have any Legal Authority upon which you have based the statement you made? That is all any court will be concerned with.
Politics / Re: Onnoghen: Fayose Reacts, Says Buhari Not Different From Adolf Hitler by Fraust40(m): 1:10pm On Jan 26
I'm sorry to bud into your argument, but pray tell me - do you have any Legal Authority upon which you have based the emboldened statement? I ask because my own God-given brain tells me that the word "necessary" generally connotes persuasion, and not compulsion.
Politics / Re: Onnoghen: Fayose Reacts, Says Buhari Not Different From Adolf Hitler by Fraust40(m): 12:21pm On Jan 26
You cannot shave a man's head if he's absent...or so they say.
The NJC cannot decide the fate of the CJN in his absence. He has to be present, at some point. If the CJN is to be present at the NJC Panel deciding his fate, he'll only be there as the Chairman (their oga). I do not believe Buhari suspended him as the Complainant ("acusser" in your words), what wrong has the CJN committed against him? I believe Buhari suspended him to avoid a scenario in which the CJN will be a Judge in his own matter (which is almost certainly the main reason the CJN and his team have been kicking for the matter to first be referred to the NJC while he is still serving as its Chairman).
Politics / Re: Onnoghen: Fayose Reacts, Says Buhari Not Different From Adolf Hitler by Fraust40(m): 10:36am On Jan 26
I think the CJN himself should quietly have stepped down, to save the Judiciary this mess. It's true there are some political undertones to this, but if he actually stated that he "forgot" to declare bank accounts from which he was receiving and spending huge sums of money (not a part of his official pay) from, then the dignified thing he could have done is to quietly and inconspicuously step down after being found out without having to drag the image of the Judiciary through this mess. The impunity with which the CJN has handled this matter pisses me off. This is the sort of corruption prevalent in the Judiciary that I'm against. I'd rather have a corrupt Police Officer headed by a corrupt Police Chief in a city with a corrupt Mayor located in a State with a corrupt Governor than have a corrupt Judge. A society where justice can be put on auction without consequences has already descended into depths irrecoverable.
That said, we all know that the power to suspend is constitutionally conferred on NJC exclusively, but the CJN is the chairman of the NJC, and the legal principle Nemo Judex In Causa Sua (You cannot be a Judge in your own matter) rings true here. Getting the NJC to discipline the CJN is like convening a Court Martial to convict a serving Chief of Defense Staff. It won't work. The logical thing to do is to first remove him from office (no matter how temporal or illegal) so that someone else can effectively be a judge in his matter.
As much as I don't like Buhari and his policies, this is one trick up his sleeves I support.

Crime / Re: Man Kills 73-Year-Old Mother In Enugu by Fraust40(m): 10:09pm On Jan 04
Cite your source for the WHO story. Meanwhile... Osun is the 2nd dirtiest state in Nigeria. Only your people live there (https://punchng.com/kogi-osun-nasarawa-dirtiest-states-in-nigeria-report/amp/).
My 'tribeswoman' was sent home with her kids for an altercation with a white co passenger (who was the only person on the flight that complained about 'body odour') She was kicked out based on that single complaint (https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/nigerian-woman-kicked-off-united-airlines-flight-due-to-pungent-odour-a3838286.html?amp)
Meanwhile... see the image below. It's from google.
Finally, the 'city's' name is Shagamu. I couldn't find a single tarred road. You just prove my point - as 'educated' as you all claim to be, most of you still lack the basic ability to think. There's a difference between 'roads' and 'tarred roads.' Obviously, you're too inept to know the difference. You have just properly represented your people - all talk, little substance.
Crime / Re: Man Kills 73-Year-Old Mother In Enugu by Fraust40(m): 2:15pm On Jan 04
I went to a famous "city" in Ogun recently. They called it a city, but it didn't even have a single tarred road.
The most annoying aspect is that I was taking pictures of everyone I met and posting them on whatsapp with messages like "If you don't hear from me again, this is the last person I met."
I couldn't meet a single person who spoke English properly. I thought they were Nigeria's most educated. I bought something of #550 and gave the woman #1,050. She gave me #700 change. Ehn...even Maths sef them no sabi. If I was a Yoruba man she fo hear am.
I stopped asking the taxi guy that took me around questions after the first question. When he opened his mouth, the smell that slapped me. Personal hygene sef, them no sabi.
The only place I saw young men were in the parks, where they kept fighting over who gets to collect what money. Most of the young girls I saw were holding babies and toddlers, but didn't even have engagement ring on.
Book, them no sabi. Brain them no get. Their personal hygiene is zero (I'm not even talking about their environment). Learn work? Lie lie!! They just like to spend money they have not worked for. That's why they have ritualists everywhere. Touch their girls anywhere around their thighs and they grant you free unprotected access, without any baby raising responsibilities.
I pity people who marry from that tribe.
God help those guys.

Do you know that you're a fool??!! Perhaps even the biggest fool I've heard of. He sent the chap away. How is that a person that wanted him to serve forever?? He wanted to get his brother's number. Is it wrong for him to want to discuss his settlement, under such acrimonious circumstance, with the person who brought him first?
If you don't know how to do things properly, don't expose yourself on the web.

She was kidnapped whilst in her father's house, strangled, sexually assaulted, killed and dumped by the road by hungry robbers/rapist who passed by the houses of other girls on their way to hers. They did it because she was the daughter of a very influential political figure in Edo State, and they sought to teach him a lesson.
This is actually what happened, right?
