Politics / Exposed: A Must Read For All Nigerians!!! by FreeIgbos: 5:55pm On Jul 25, 2021
This is the best that I have read so far in argument against one Nigeria!

Prof (Amb)George Obiozor wrote this:

Most of the Diasporans here live in Europe; Can you show me one multi-ethnic state in *Europe* where one group is positioned to dominate the rest that hasn't broken up?

For those who may not know, what you call *ethnic groups* in *Nigeria* are called *nations* in *Europe*.

There's nowhere in the world where the *white man* accepts domination from another *white man* in *perpetuity.*

It used to be so under the *Roman* empire and the like. *Not anymore*. The *Communists* tried it, dividing society into capitalists and proletariats, deluding themselves that ethnicity is effectively swept under the carpet, but what followed? The Communist edifices in *Czechoslovakia,* *Yugoslavia,* and the big brother, *USSR,* all collapsed, while the two *Germans* that are ethnically the same but split by *communism* vs *capitalism* were reunited. Such is the power of *ethnic nationalism.*

*Czechoslovakia* was made up of *two ethnic groups*, the *Czechs* and the *Slovakians*. Both separated peacefully on *1st January 1993.* The former is today *10.6 million* people and the latter *5.4 million.* Added together, they're not up to *Lagos*. Yet, they split for *peace.* Two masters can't be in the same house.

*Yugoslavia* in *1991* was *23.2 million*, barely more than *Lagos* population. It broke into *six countries* same year - all along ethnic lines, namely: *Bosnia* and *Herzegovina*, *Croatia,*
*Macedonia*, *Montenegro,* *Serbia* , and *Slovenia*.

Then the big brother, *USSR*. It had, at least, the following ethnic groups identified by their languages:

*Regional languages:*
*Ukrainian

*Belarusian

*Uzbek

*Kazakh

*Georgian

*Azerbaijani

*Lithuanian

*Moldavian

*Latvian

*Kyrgyz

*Tajik

*Armenian

*Turkmen

*Estonian

*Minority languages:*

*Abkhaz

*Bashkir

*Buryat

*Chechen

*Finnish

*Volga German

*Korean

*Ossetian

*Tatar

&

*various others.

Today, your fingers will not be enough to count the *number of countries* that have emerged from the *USSR.*

Sit down there and be preaching unity in Nigeria as if you're the kindest gentleman on earth while you have no solution to the genocide in *Southern Kaduna,* the illegal but officially condoned arms in the hands of killer herdsmen roaming the country, and be condemning those better informed about the fact that the country is undergoing the strains of a *forced union* and should be *peacefully restructured* or let people go their separate ways.

In *Europe,* the two best examples of fairly stable *multi-ethnic states* are the *UK* and the *Switzerland*. The former is led by reasonable men who permitted regional autonomy to the *Irish*, the *Scots* and the *Welsh*, while the *English* dominate *Westminster*. That's something some of us are asking for, but you're fighting against it in your own country wracked by *ethnic crisis*. Your own people are better off under oppression of fellow black men because your people have bad leaders who can't do better than their new *internal colonisers.*

The latter country, *Switzerland*, has *four ethnic groups*. Each of them *rotates the presidency* through seven cantons that constitute the *federating units*. All the four languages of the four ethnic groups are recognized as official languages and school languages to boot, namely, *German, French, Italian*, and *Romansch* that has just a few thousand speakers!

There's nowhere in the world where the *Caucasians* allow the domination of their group by another.

In *Canada*, *Quebec* is the only full *French-speaking province*, aside a little section of *New Brunswick.* The other *seven provinces* are *English-speaking.* Yet, *Canada* is *bilingual* for the sake of *Quebec*! And each of the provinces is largely *self-governing.*

Here we are in *Nigeria,* you have people arguing vehemently that a *decrepit, structurally-flawed, and crisis-prone artificial contraption* badly configured by the *British* only needs good people to survive. Why not centralise the powers of the *British regions* to *London* and see what happens?

I once believed in Nigeria but not in oppressive contraption saddled with brutality of fellow Nigerians. I think it’s time to
‘let my people go’ or change the status quo of governance.

mrvitalis:

Why do u people talk about resources n agriculture ...the only way a nation or state can survive is similar... providing enabling environment for private persons to do business then tax them ...tax is the surest way to grow

You're not being realistic. There is a difference between advanced countries with high purchasing power and GDP and poor underdeveloped countries. A country like UK can tax itself and survive on it and similarly, a state like Lagos that houses virtually almost the entire Nigeria economy can also survive on tax but the rest of Nigeria can't.

Providing enabling environment is important but it's not the only way to grow and neither will tax do that in an underdeveloped country. Every state in Nigeria has comparative advantage in one area or another they can harness. It can be in agriculture (mechanized), it can be in solid minerals, it can be in industrial production. However, the key will be to produce enough for not just the local market but for exports because we do not have the sort of local purchasing power that can trigger self reliance and optimal growth.

Is poverty not crushing Nigeria already? We reduced ourselves to a wretched country when we all started relying on crude oil sales without any form of value. How can 200 million people be relying on crude oil sales of less than 2mbpd even when most of the proceeds are stolen at source. Countries of just 6 million people sell more crude oil than us!

It's only in Nigeria that you will see thousands of so-called workers in ministries and local governments who do nothing except to watch television and gossip all day only to wait for salary at month end. The Chinese didn't become great by being so lazy and corrupt like Nigeria. Every damn person out of their 1 billion plus population is doing something, that's why their GDP and GNP is staggering!!

Of what use is the overbloated civil servants, many of whom rarely do anything and thus adds very little value to the GDP yet only to take up most of the revenue in terms of salary payments?

The government of Nigeria is very useless. Otherwise, cities like Aba, Lagos, Onitsha, Kano, Nnewi ought to have dedicated power plants built for industrial clusters. If a city like Aba should have such power supply at affordable rates, it would be able to produce enough consumer goods that will serve the entire SSA instead of exporting our jobs to China.

Wike has nothing against the Igbos. His grouse is with IPOb unless you are saying that IPOB is synonymous with Igbo.
Another contention with him is when you try to say he is Igbo. He said he is not like all Ikwerre people.

Your just wrote like an itiboribo with zero comprehension. Where did I say that wike or his ikwerre people are Igbos in the write-up? You see how you fail exam?

I stated clearly that he is ikwerre and THEY are a minority.

As for Obigbo, you're quite ignorant. The indigenous Asa people that own Obigbo have their brothers in Ukwa East and Ukwa West local government areas of Abia State. Just like the way Egbema has its people in both Imo and Rivers States. It may also interest you to note that Obigbo used to be under East Central state. They've never hidden their Igbo identity! Igboland is the future of Nigeria for Gas grin grin

Assa North/Ohaji South (AN-OH) Project

The project seeks to develop 4.3Tcf of NAG resource and 215 MMbbls of Condensates from Shell's Assa North field (OML 21) and Seplat's JV's Ohaji South field (OML 53). It involves the installation of a 2 x 300MMscfd gas processing facility and a 120 Mbpd liquid handling facility to deliver 500 MMscfd to the Domestic Market by 2019. The gas will be supplied through the OB/OB - Oben (OB-3) pipeline.
The Assa North / Ohaji South is a Unit Asset that straddles between two concessions – OML-21 owned by SPDC Joint Venture and OML53 owned by the Seplat Joint Venture. The asset Unitization is based on a 50% - 50% Tract Participation.

Odigbo Node Gas Project :
The objective of this project is to gather about 113mmscf/d of AG from about Six flow stations in the NNPC/Shell Eastern Nigeria Fields, for supply (about 92mmscf/d) to ALSCON (Aluminum Smelting Company of Nigeria) as feed gas and for gas lifting.
Odidi AGG Project: This project is also being executed by the NNPC/Shell JV in the South Western part of Nigeria. The objective of the project is to gather gas and inject into the ELP (Escravos to Lagos Pipeline), which will eventually form part of the West African Gas Pipeline that will supply gas to some West African Countries.

Igboland is flowing with excess gas. Look at the part in bold, even the facility they're building in the SW will rely on gas from Igboland grin grin

Politics / Like Wike, Like Reno.... Check The Pattern! by FreeIgbos: 9:01am On Jul 23, 2021
I have studied the political climate of Nigeria and I discovered something interesting. Politicians from Southern minorities will ride on Igbo support to gain fame and then turn around to attack those that helped them rise because they feel it's the only way they will become accepted nationally. However, they always end up back to square one, in obscurity!

Wike became very popular on the support of IPOB in particular and Igbos in general. As a minority, he had no significant support base from his ikwerre people who are not enough to project him, so he relied on Igbo support to gain prominence. Alas, when he assumed he had arrived and was commanding the attention of all Nigerians, he thought he no longer needed Igbos, in fact he errorneously felt he could attack them so he could entrench his new found fame and acceptance nationally. He started by publicly making anti Igbo rhetorics openly and later attacked Obigbo people in Rivers which led to serious loss of lives and properties.

What was the result?

He faced severe and unrelenting Igbo criticisms, and since the Hausas or Yorubas never liked him in the first place, he had no one to defend him and today he is back to obscurity. His larger than life image has been cut down to size!

Another person that has made same mistake is Reno. He also rode on Igbo support to national limelight and when he thought he has arrived, he decided to burn the bridge that brought him so far, now he is about to crash mightily and return to obscurity. Just like Wike, he has no support base elsewhere except Igbos, and now he has lost it, he is about to be unmasked and made irrelevant.

When will these people learn that in Nigeria, outside the East, others only tolerate them at best and hate their guts same way they do to Igbos. But unlike Igbos that have the numbers to counter the hate they receive, they on their own can't!!

Coronabirus:

Ignorance is a disease. What is the Tech in the south that fetches Nigeria anything reasonable, haven't u see the figures I quoted from our GDP?
Dangote was born in a very rich family, his grandfather was the richest man in West Africa before his demise. All the allegations of monopoly are born out of envy; a lot of you just throw the word "monopoly" around without properly understanding what it entails.
Every businessman operating in a capitalist economy aspires to gain as much market share as possible so as to maximize returns, in order to do this, he deploys various strategies all derived from his business environment. One of the tools used is a PESTEL analysis which analyses the political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal environments to see where one can gain competitive advantages which they can use to achieve his objective of maximizing market share.
A monopoly would arise from the effective deployment of such strategies developed, in a market where other players are unable to compete due to the lack or insufficiency of the identified advantage - for example - Dangote aligns with practically any government in power so that he gains competitive advantages in the political environment, which come in the form of favourable policies, waivers, concessions etc. which enable him to dominate the industry/market to the point that other players are relegated or forced out. This is not in anyway wrong in the world of business, it is capitalism at its finest and it is the same across the world. Microsoft were so savage in this sense that anti-trust laws had to be enacted to protect other software companies. If you think Dangote's advantages are due to his ethnicity and not sheer brilliance and tact, how come he is replicating his success in several other African countries with various governments?
Therefore neither Dangote nor the government is doing anything wrong because what they have is a mutually beneficial strategic relationship. Dangote is simply a brilliant businessman that consistently outplays his competition.
What of BUA?
Many southern business tycoon got there money from CBN and Bank of industry, during GEJ's administration they used to collect billions with intention of building modular refineries but ended up building nothing. Now about 300 Nigerians defaulted loans of more than N3trillion from CBN and BOI.
Let me school U abt the self deception of many Southerners, a Northern shoe maker make abt 3 times the earning of southern graduate teaching in private school, that wheel barrow pusher make average of N60k/month, okada rider make average of 80k/month. So, pls stop living in delusion and deceit. I mate a Northerner doing okada in one SS state and asked him the average income of his daily ride, he said, he often makes abt 5k daily and settle his master 2k daily balance.
For ur information, the only Northerners going to south are people with no conventional education. The educated few only work with either govt or private organisations. Even if u employ a Northerner in the south, he will find his way to go back to North that is why we're very few in FG Secretariats in southern states, only security personnels stay and work in the south comfortably.
Why are u trying to cover the poverty, hardship, illiteracy, and social vices of ur communities. I've been to the nooks and crannies of Nigerian states, I saw a lot of things and learnt that those Nairalanders calling North derogatory names are living in cities like Lagos, PHC or major towns and don't know the sufferings of their people in villages. Many young boys/girls are not going to School in many southern villages, the level of illiteracy is relatively high, child prostitution is common, incestuous relationships are rampant but their religious leaders and Politicians are telling u Northern problems only.
Pls stop pretending and face reality, all those making ethno-religious bias comments are people suffering from poverty, hate and envy. If u're living good life u won't come here ranting abt things that u neither see nor have facts abt. Why dwelling on social media for information that will ridicule ur assertions on public domain? Step ur foot out of ur hiding place, go round the country and bar witness of facts. Every month I travel more than 2k within this nation, I pass through atleast 3 zones, I see how people are living all forms of life in cities and villages but u people only know how to report abt others by covering ur mayhem!

I'm really for you guys if other Northerners are wallowing in self deception like you.

The fact that federal government goes out of its way to have way for Dangote to dominate and monopolize certain sectors of the economy does not mean he is a good businessman. In a level playing field, he won't be anywhere near the top. We all know how people from particular areas of Nigeria are frustrated and hurdles placed in their way.

The North is currently one of the world's most miserable places today. If North should be a country now, it would be in the league of failed nations like Yemen and Somalia or even worse. Every indices of development is in the negative for the North, and to worsen it all, your population continues to explode due to irresponsibility and misplaced priority. Now, your region is about to collapse totally to anarchy. You can't travel from Kano to Kaduna and Abuja without risking being killed or kidnapped.

Your people have started eating grass despite 90% being farmers according to you. Even years back, Sanusi Lamido stated that poverty is a Northern phenomenon.

Lol, I laugh at you because you're still covering your head in the sands of ignorance. But FYI, North is finished, your future is extremely gloomy. It is mindsets such as yours that contributed in destroying North because you guys failed to act and allowed the rot to fester and become cancerous.

Ultimately, we would definitely have to cut you guys loose to avoid being dragged into the abyss alongside. I shudder whenever I try to imagine what North will be like in the coming years, it will be terrible!

he meant in ratio to your population

And I'm still asking you, do you know the factors that led to our huge population?

Igboland was largely peaceful and the soil was very fertile which led to a boom in population. Same couldn't be said of other areas in the South and Middle belt that faced continues wars, killings and attacks that made settlements for extended periods very difficult.

I still repeat that Igbos still have the largest landmass in Southern Nigeria after Yorubas. If you look at the SW geography, you will observe that Oyo state and the surrounding areas have similar geography with the middle belt, with lots of hills and grasslands unlike Igboland that is densely vegetated and must have been difficult to expand. Also, when you consider that Igboland used to have very fertile soils, then you will understand there wasn't need or the motivation to seek for further lands afield.
