bcomputer101:Yes, the whole country is hungry but the regions with crushing poverty rates in excess of 80% will have it worse! North may be producing most of the food crops but it doesn't mean they won't have it worse because the costlier food commodities become, the more it gets out of reach for most of them. Someone living on less than 1-2 dollar per day (majority of Northerners are in this category) won't be able to afford basic food items even there in the North where it is relatively cheaper. To prepare a basic food like yam and source for just three people will cost more than 2k per square meal. 1 tuber of small Yam 1k, 4 eggs 480, groundnut oil 200, tomatoes 200, onions & pepper 150. Now that's just for one square meal, and you've spent 2k+ which is equivalent of $4!! I'm not surprised they're already eating grass |
It's still Genesis and they're already eating grass, I wonder what they will be eating when we get Revelations ![]() And to imagine they claim to be feeding South ![]() |
COMPAQ:Don't confuse yourself. CBN didn't ban BDC's rather it stopped selling directly to them in an obvious bid to improve transperancy in the system and avoid round tripping and all those rent seeking ways they manipulate the system. The BDC's can still buy from individuals including Yahoo boys and also sell as the market dictates but government is no longer responsible for supplying to them. Thank you! |
jlinkd78:A very bold and smart move by Emefiele. I'm shocked he could announce based on how Nigeria has been Northernized. However, anytime I see that picture of him answering to that dead former head of cabal while he was seated like the capon he was, makes me cringe. Anyways, Nigeria is like a drowning man clutching at straws. All these are desperate measures to stay afloat and delay the doomsday. Las Las 1 dollar will exchange for 1k naira in no distant time. |
MysteryShopper:Joblessness is a disease. You keep quoting and replying yourself, is that not madness? Who doesn't know you have thousands of monikers you use in constituting nuisance all over nairaland? Osu ![]() |
[quote author=Chikeluba25 post=104179641][s]Of course everybody wants to be associated with success that's why they chose Anambra as first choice location. What stop them from building it in Imo state... and watch how the company will die. I bet u- These two men u mentioned above don't have Even pure water factory in Owerri because u are not success oriented. More than half of the hotel in Owerri are owned by Anambrarians yet they have similar or even bigger investment back home in Anambra- but that is not the case. The case is: Even if u wail from now till tomorrow, it does not change the fact that Imo state is celebrating Chicken republic as landmark development.[[/s]/quote] An atom of sense you don't have. Get lost anu ohia! How many factories or industries does Abuja have? Yet is there any place in Nigeria more beautiful than Abuja? The same reason why Imo men owners of Tummy Tummy noodles and Orange drugs will build their factories in Onitsha is also why Anambra man will build his hotel in Owerri. If you're educated you will know it's called economies of scale. All these childish tantrums you nitwits exhibit is due to limited education and lack of exposure. Imo people are too enlightened and educated to be engaging in such village man worldview. We don't make unnecessary noise but believe in silent achievement just like most learned people do. Grow up or get lost!! |
Ikwerreland:Look at this identity-less ikwerre saying rubbish about a place he has no business with. Obigbo people are proud Igbo people of Asa/Ndoki stock. They are not timid or suffering from inferiority complex like you guys. Everyone still refer it to Obigbo both in nairaland and in Obigbo itself! Oyigbo or whatever nonsense you call it has no meaning in their native dialect so why would they use the fake nomenclature you tribeless people foisted on them? Get lost, ohu ndi Bini. |
udele1:Just like your name says, you're indeed a vulture. Anybody that wants to live in Lagos is free to do so, however I once lived there but I prefer Owerri ten times over than that hellish place. Many of you live in despicable ghettoes all over the mainland that are not fit for human habitation yet you have mouth to say rubbish. |
alizma:Please educate me more about the part in bold. What is happening in Imo and Abia states that ain't good, relative to other states in Nigeria? I'm waiting for your answer. |
udele1:Why are you crying more than the bereaved? Anu ohia!! |
He is right, it is beginning to take assume a life of its own. The large number of people protesting all over the world VOLUNTARILY is a pointer to that fact. Very soon they may start storming Nigeria's embassies and other form of agitations that will wreak havoc on Nigeria's corporate existence. |
This protests may assume a life of its own if care is not taken. They may start storming Nigeria's embassies abroad. The awareness is gaining traction and it's becoming obvious that the breakup of Nigeria will be achieved outside. |
Chai, so sad! Maybe it was their triumph that made them think of conquering the rest of Nigeria but East will certainly be their Waterloo. |
Lol, if the governor fails to publicly issue a press statement to deny this ridiculous claims, then it means they're all brain dead in that state. I can't believe that people can be so foolish, stupid and thoughtless like the subhumans that occupy certain parts of Nigeria. "He who brings home ant infested firewood is only calling lizards to a feast" I wish Delta State what they wish themselves. |
Wow, Igbos are indeed many in every damn country in this world! Now I know where all these remmitances coming to Nigeria are coming from. God bless Biafra!!! |
overall90:Indeed, they are all dum.b. Imagine after all the idiotic denials, they're still miserable and the places they tend to deny even doing a lot better. Iberibe wu oria |
Papparassi:You got to be kidding me, you mean such disgraceful road can be found in a supposed oil rich state I thought this kind of road can only be found in Ogun state ![]() Meanwhile, it's like all the oil money is being spent only on ikwerreland and the rest stolen. This is so shameful, spits!! |
Omoluabi1stborn:You're a total map illiterate if you made this ridiculous statement after watching the map. From the map, you ought to have deduced that P.H is outside the Izon republic. Also, there are islands and lots of all-year-round navigable rivers that flow directly from Igbo heartland into the Atlantic ocean. Again, at the boundary between Ijaw nation with Ibom republic is Azumiri river. This means that this river becomes an international gateway. |
Captain8:Go and ask your parents or any adult around you, kiddo. |
Ebitimi44:Word of advice: pick Yenagoa or P.H as your capital, map your boundary, even if it's not yet accurate now and others will take you serious. Otherwise, if you guys continue mouthing this ghost republic that has no reality on ground, when Nigeria finally breaks up which will definitely happen sooner than later (if you're a smart political observer you will already know this) then your worst fears will happen. Biafra and Oduduwa will end up snapping up most of the ethnicities in the Niger Delta while you will be too confused at that point to do anything. Carve your future now! |
One word describes this MEDIOCRITY! Imagine a supposed oil rich state celebrating one high rise building as achievement after 60 years of selling oil and gas, what a disgrace!! Small and poor Rwanda's Kigali have uncountable number of skyscrapers that dot its skyline yet this one is celebrating a single high rise building. Spits. |
24SEVEN:Lol, it's either you're a brainwashed kid or an unreasonable and illiterate adult. Do you think that 1967-70 was during the dark ages or something? Igbos whose houses and lands were seized and tagged abandoned properties in P.H can still show you the exact locations they are situated today and also show you videos and pictures of how and when it occurred! That's called hard facts!!! Now, can you show me videos or pictures or even documents to back your idiotic tales by moonlight stories of how or when Ojukwu seized aboriginal lands and handed it to Igbos? If it gets to the UN, what evidence do you have to prove? Do you think that the world or people in the areas now called Nigeria started existing in 1919 or 1960? We are talking of communities that have been in existence since recorded history! There is evidence of the extent of Igboland mapped out since the 18th and 19th centuries!! Maybe you need to be informed that Obigbo, Etche and other Igboid areas of Rivers State are all contigous with Igbo heartland. It's only Bonny island that is detached and it's aboriginal status questioned but never Obigbo! If you're informed you won't even argue this with me because you have no case. |
Ebitimi44:You guys are obviously not serious. You don't know your boundaries and neither do you have any idea where your capital will be yet you're talking about forming a nation, are you kidding me? Biafra already knows its boundaries and capital city, same with Oduduwa. Remove Warri because it's largely owned by the Itshekiri with Ijaws and Uhrobos owning parts of the suburbs. Again, I doubt the Ishekiris will ever want to share a country with Ijaws talk more of its capital city, considering your violent relationship with them. Your options are limited to Yenegoa and p.h. |
Ebitimi44:I support your idea of Ijaw/Niger Delta rep. However, I will like to know where your capital will be situated, is it Yenagoa or P.H? |
Ebitimi44:Trash!!! You ijaws are really punching above your weight and defecating on grasses that are taller than you. What you wrote here is nothing but fantasies or better still delusions of grandeur, but I will correct you: 1. Southern Nigeria does not have 3 major ethnic groups but rather i.e. Igbos and Yorubas. 2. Ijaws are not more in number than Ibibios. This is common sense! Ijaws own the smallest state in Nigeria i.e. Bayelsa and has marginal population in a couple of others. However, Ibibio has a relatively big state Akwa Ibom and also has population in Cross River. Any state you go to in Nigeria, you will find Ibibio people but you will hardly see Ijaws anywhere outside P.H, Bayelsa and Delta. 3. Igbos don't want Ijaws in our nation, you will only bring nuisance value. Lastly, Niger Delta will never be able to form one nation. Know this today and know peace. The Ibibios, Anangs, Ogonis and Igbos of Niger Delta already know you will destabilize them and intimidate them, and I can bet you that if it comes to choosing between Igbos and Ijaws, many minorities will go with Igbos that will bring them development and not Ijaws that will bring militancy and brigandage. |
Again!!!!!!!! This was the reason why the terrorist regime is hell-bent on disarming everyone so they would be at the mercy of fulani terrorists masquerading as herdsmen. The bastards who formed Ebubeagu because their masters told them to do so, where is your Ebubeagu now?? They should continue, but the cloud is gathering. |
Biodun556:Hahaha, this is how the cookie crumbles. You're now forming Rambo abi? The same Nigeria that can't stop rag-tag bandits and all manner of terrorism is the one you're referring to? Since you closed the border with Benin, have their economy collapsed? You should rather be more concerned about Mosad invading Nigeria than your fantasies. |
Better write your will first ![]() You're about to travel through the world's most dangerous region Take a flight if you can afford it because going by road or rail is nothing but a huge gamble on your life. And how much is the project worth to make you want to take such massive risk, is it worth 10 billion naira in profit after tax?! I would rather risk a journey through Northern Syria or Yemen than Makurdi to Sokoto by road. I repeat, write your will first ![]() |
Coldie:The more you post rubbish, the more you become confused. Such nonsense happens when you abandon your origin and start discussing issues you're totally ignorant of. The same Ndokis that are also found in Southern parts of Abia State is the people you're referring to? Adolphus Wabara, a former Senate president from Abia State is from where again? You see how you meddlesome interlopers go about disgracing yourselves? A place that has always been known as Obigbo for ages with 100% Igbo aborigins is the one you're here involving Ogonis because one abo.ki renamed it Oyigbo after the Biafran war? During same period Igbo communities such as Egbema, Ndoki and Asa were divided into two and some parts put into Rivers State. Nigerian fulani controlled government did all that to get back at Igbos who they saw as their biggest challenge in enslaving the rest of Nigeria, and these were also the basic reasons why they stopped the teaching of history in our schools with the hope that the truth will eventually be erased. Unfortunately for them, Igbos and Igboland have been in existence centuries before 1919, 1960, or 1970's when they tried all these shenanigans. FYI and those still acting foolishly, there are lots of reliable documents, some of them written as far back as the 18th and 19th centuries that documented all these. You can search online for some of them instead of coming here to embarrass yourself. At the end of the day, we all will revisit all these recent idiotic manipulations and correct them appropriately, and woe bitide any fool that will want to stand against it. |
Hangmnk:The stupid fat pig is frustrated that nobody remembers him again. He is now totally relegated even in the SS. Why would anyone arrest him when he is not important ![]() |
Very poorly planned and executed. Okay, next please. |
Ekpeitit:What a very dum.b post by a very ignorant person. Why not pick a particular region and let's compare with SE but in your dishonesty, you had to bring the rest of Nigeria against SE? Is that not foolishness? I have been to virtually all the regions and I can tell you that SE has comparatively better hospitals, far better housing, and a lot more companies/industries outside Lagos region. Tell me which states/cities has more industries/companies than Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi and Enugu? Pick a particular region and list them and I will do same for SE, don't go and start mentioning the rest of Nigeria, that's stupidity! I live in Owerri and I'm presently typing from there! However, the fact that we are providing expatriates all over Nigeria doesn't mean SE isn't good enough. In the SE, most of the menial jobs are left for outsiders while we go to other regions and take up the elite jobs like lecturing, civil service, phamarcy, supply, business etc. But here in the East, things like okada riding are mostly done by people from Nasarawa, Benue and Cross River, house maids are left for people from Kogi, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Cross River etc, same with several others like cart pushing, construction works, farm works, security etc. Wake me up the day you see Igbos doing these sort of works in your own region. Igbos are far above whatever shitty tribe you represent, which you're obviously ashamed to name, in all areas of life! Lastly, the globaly recognized yardstick for measuring development by the UN is MDG, particularly in areas like education, school enrollment, healthcare, number of people living above poverty, as well as absence/low percentage numbers for maternal mortality, under 5 mortality, underweight children etc. Tell me your region and let's compare with SE on which region is doing better. You can hate on Igbos as much as you want but you will always lag behind us in the grand scheme of things!! |
