The oilfields are concentrated in the border with Abia, Akwa Ibom and Rivers. These are facts, not your propaganda! In your mischief, you don't even understand your own map. From the map you posted, there are far more gas fields onshore in the Imo/Abia/Rivers/Anambra axis than offshore that has more oil fields. |

attackgat: Pursuant to yesterday's protest against the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in Canada, Biafrans plan to stage another one in the German capital city of Berlin today. The protesters will march to the Kenyan Embassy as well as the British consulate. Similar protests are being planned in major cities all over the world Wow, I'm so loving this!!! Igbos are just everywhere in this world, and in large numbers too. This move is strategic for diverse reasons and of them is that as Kenya is being dragged around and embarrassed, it will become a dent on their image and aspirations to be a major tourism destination. This will ultimately force them to deny any involvement in the kidnapping and extradition of Nnamdi Kanu. The moment they officially deny any involvement, it will leave Nigeria in the limbo! Put on your seat belt people, things are about to get nasty |
Politics › Re: Grand Plan To Return Most Of The Oil Wells From SS Back To SE But With Condition by FreeIgbos: 6:10am On Jul 09, 2021 |
koondog: [s]I'll be brief: few days ago, Federal government returned 1/3 of the oil wells in Rivers state back to Imo state, the original owner of these oil wells. Imo state lost these oil wells due to creation of Rivers state, which cuts pretty much all the oil region out from Imo state into Rivers, all to marginalize Igbos.
Now Fulani and their advisers overseas aka Britain, sensing that Gov. Wike has been extremely difficult to work with and refusing to share proceeds from the oil wells and contracts for over 6yrs now, have put together another plan: simply put in an APC governor in Igbo states bordering SS states where the majority oil region was carved out anyways from. The second reason is to calm agitation for Biafra, with hope that Igbos sensing theses oil wells are being returned, will calm down based on the fact that they will now start receiving huge allocations based on oil wells and production capacity.
This was why they were so bent on imposing APC governor Uzodimma in Imo state against the will of the people. People think it's just APC politics and loyalty, no, there $billions of dollars in the equation from the returned oil wells, now in full custody of APC government.
Next plan is if Akwa Ibom and Delta states governors start behaving like Wike and cut off their oil money access, they will do the same to them, force APC governors on Anambra and Abia, then start returning all oil wells originally in Abia-Akwa Ibom border (now in Akwa Ibom) and originally Anambra-Delta border (now in Delta) back to Abia and Anambra respectively but under the control of APC government. Remember, Akwa Ibom state was created from Cross River and Abia, that's why you have Abariba people with Ibibio culture living in Abia and vice versa with Ibibios found in Abia. Same with Delta created from old Bendel and Anambra, cutting out the Igbo part which is what is today Asaba and other Igbo clan areas, where the oil wells are found.
https://punchng.com/imo-predicts-boom-over-43-oil-wells-recovered-from-rivers/[/s] So much ignorance in one post. Is this the first time oil wells wrongly credited to another state is being returned to the original owner? FYI, all of Cross River oil wells were handed to Akwa Ibom! Many oil well from Rivers was handed over to Bayelsa during GEJ era! Several oil wells were returned to Abia State from Rivers State some years ago! Now the same thing happens between Rivers and Imo State after a protracted legal battle and you start writing fake conspiracy theories?! Again, how does 43 oil wells taken from Rivers amount to 1/3 of their oil wells? Do you even know that Nigeria has over 1400 oil wells?! So much ignorance in one post!!! |

The fact that they are not publicizing the operation all over the place doesn't mean the international extradition process was never followed.
Have you ever wondered why not a single country is going after Nigeria for kidnapping on their soil and violating their Sovereignty?
Have you ever wondered why there's complete silence all over the world?

Politics › See How Quota System People Are Using Their Hands To Bring Biafra by FreeIgbos(op): 9:53am On Jul 08, 2021*. Modified: 10:15am On Jul 08, 2021 |
It is an open secret that quota system people desperately want Nigeria to continue existing by all means, due to selfish reasons. They depend on the South the way a parasite depends on a host, and it gives them nightmares whenever the host starts to make moves to purge them. Ironically, the same people that can't imagine a life without South are the ones breaking the country without knowing it.
1. Trying to seize our lands in the name of RUGA.
2. Allowing sharia law in the North and destroying our goods even when they're legal
3. Taking 30% commission on a commodity that don't belong to them and giving 3% to the original owners.
4. Allowing terrorists masquerading as fulani herdsmen to be moving about and hacking people to death, raping women, kidnapping and destruction of farmlands.
5. Unleashing terror on protesters even when they've not broken any law etc.
These are some of the crazy things they're doing that is gradually putting a big wedge between us. However, in their desperation to ensure that they hold tight to their host, they have decided to throw all caution to the wind and are now attacking everyone at the same time. This is exactly how the cookie crumbles!
The renewed quest for Biafra is obviously giving them sleepless nights but instead of trying to use diplomacy in countering it, they chose to use force and scorched earth policies in crushing the struggle.
Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB group have been fighting for Biafra long before Buhari took power. However, it took a dangerous dimension afterwards. Now, something that not a few people waved off as an academic exersize that won't get anywhere has become a huge threat, like a sword of Damocles hovering over Nigeria.
Just like Nero who fiddled while Rome was burning, Buhari and his kitchen cabinet are unwittingly using their own hands to balkanize Nigeria. Now consider this, IPOB has been like an orphan all these years, fighting alone with no support from anywhere except the lower class or what you may term the peasants. Unfortunately for the "peasants", they had no voice and no real power/influence, but only relied on their suicidal bravery that often ended in bloodshed at the hands of the military/police. That glaring disconnection between the IPOB and the Igbo elite/intelligentsia made it difficult for the separatist group to make any headway. However, that disconnect is now being bridged gradually, and surprisingly by the people in Abuja.
Make no mistake about it, Igbos now have a large population outside the shores of this country, and a good number of them have climbed the ladder to the commanding heights of policy and decision making in some of the most influential countries and organizations in the world. Also, the impression that Igbos in Nigeria are being persecuted is gaining ground. Diaspora Igbos have the numbers and connections to pressure the world into balkanizing Nigeria, through the instrument of UN. If things should deteriorate beyond its present form, Nigeria will completely break up!
Unfortunately for some Nigerians, especially the quota system people, they erroneously think that Nigeria is a strong nation when in reality, we are just a poor and very dependent country that can't stand 6 months of sanctions without caving in. I always laugh when I see people making comments as if Nigeria is a powerful nation like China that can call the bluff of anyone. They are like the proverbial butterfly that thinks it's a bird. |

This same concerns they raised here also crossed my mind.
Questions begging for answers: 1. Why must Lagos be the permanent Secretariat for Southern governors? Why not make the venues rotational?
2. On whose idea is the meeting being called, Tinubu? Yes, Tinubu is the one pulling the strings through his stooges. Then the question again, to what end? Is this truly a holistic approach to unite South and defend our interest or a selfish move by someone who has lost out but is now trying to use others in getting back to those that humiliated him.
3. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. If the United front to demand presidency of Southern extraction is a just one, then it has to allocated to the East. Yorubas have no right to accuse others of what they're guilty of too. You can't say that Fulanis/North have had their turn and should stay away only for you that have had your turn too to be desperate in contesting. That's madness. That's double standards. |

Emergingnation: Nnamdi Kanu represents 99.9% Ndigbo’; as Igbo lawyers mobilise defence
The Bishop, Methodist Church Nigeria, Onitsha Diocese, Rt Rev. Biereonwu Livinus Onuagha, Tuesday, said that the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, might have exhibited youthful exuberance, but that he is representing 99.9 percent of the Igbo and the entity called Biafra.
This is just as lawyers from the South-East are mobilising in support of Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to the Mazi Kanu.
Bishop Onuagha also said that Mazi Kanu is an asset not only to the Igbo but to entire Southern Nigeria, adding that any Igbo person openly criticizing him now he is embattled is a lost soul, a bastard and a naive person and he has no apology for using such words.
Bishop Onuagha also said that a handcuff in the hands of Mazi Kanu is a handcuff in the hands of every Igbo, saying that in a country dominated by ethno-religious identity politics, anyone throwing his own under the bus is making the biggest blunder one could commit.
Bishop Onuagha in a press statement, entitled, “My take on Nnamdi Kanu: Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem of Nigeria” and made available to newsmen in Onitsha said that as long as Northerners are still standing with Pantami, Gumi, Miyetti Allah and others, he will stand with Nnamdi Kanu.
Bishop Onuagha said that Nigeria is not working and can never work until something drastic is done about its lopsided structure, adding that what is happening in Nigeria is total injustice, calculated intimidation, sidelining and enslaving a group of people, adding that those that are benefiting from the systematic injustice will never allow the current system to be tampered with.
Bishop Onuagha’s statement read in part: “In the last few days, there have been mixed feelings in the nation of Nigeria.
“It is no longer news that Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested. Many people have their opinion on this and they are entitled to them. I am equally entitled to mine.
“Some people are rejoicing that Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested. Others are not happy because of that. The chase after Nnamdi Kanu is a misplaced priority.
“To me, any Igbo person openly criticizing Kanu now is a lost soul, a bastard and a naive person. No apology.
“Those Igbo rejoicing like Joe Igbokwe in Lagos is only being ignorant of the hand writing on the wall. Let me refer him to the Scripture if he reads his Bible:
“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, and there we wept, when we remembered Zion. There on the poplars we hung our harps; for the wicked carried us away captivity, and required from us a song. How can we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?”(Psalm 137: 1-4.)
“Joe Igbokwe does not know or understand that handcuffs on the hand of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is handcuffs on the hands of every Igbo man. If I may ask, why is Joe Igbokwe thanking God for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu?
“If I take a look at the apartheid policy in South Africa, the legend of our time- Daddy Nelson Mandela, he spent 27 years in prison to emancipate his people.
“He died in the struggle. Joe Igbokwe is only being selfish. How many of his investments are in Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, Abakaliki, Umuahia and Owerri? He is only making himself as a Tobias or Samballat.
“I listened to Senator Victor Umeh talk about the ideology of Nnamdi Kanu where he said Kanu may have spoken like a young man he is but there is truth in all he is saying.
“Can somebody tell me why Nigeria is insisting that Biafra should not be self governed? Is the Igbo man in the second agenda of this government?
“In a country dominated by ethno-religious identity politics, throwing your own under the bus is the biggest blunder anyone could commit. As long as the Northerners are still standing with Pantami, Gumi, Miyetti Allah, etcetera, I will stand with Nnamdi Kanu.
“Nnamdi Kanu may have his youthful exuberance but he is representing 99.9% of the Igbo and the entity called Biafra. This is no time to openly talk about his mistakes.
“Like every human being, he is not infallible. He has his Achilles’ heel and its attendant hubris. Even with his mistakes, Nnamdi Kanu is an asset not only to Ndigbo but to Southern Nigeria as a whole. His courage has earned my respect.
“He is the catalyst providing oxygen to all the agitations in the South today, be it Biafra or Oduduwa. The question is, the injustice and oppression that Kanu is fighting, are they real or imagined? Of course, even the blind can see them.
“You may not know the value of a mad man in your family until herds of other madmen invade your ancestral home.
“Nigeria is not working and can never work until something drastic is done about its lopsided structure. What is happening in Nigeria is total injustice, calculated intimidation, sidelining and enslaving a group of people.
“Make no mistake, those that are benefitting from the systematic injustice will never allow the current system to be tampered with.”
Igbo lawyers mobilise for Nnamdi Kanu, demand fair trial
In another development, the Igbo Lawyers Association, ILA, has said it is mobilizing other lawyers to work with Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to ensure he gets the best legal representation in his ongoing trial.
Kanu who was recently re-arrested by the Nigerian government is scheduled to be in court on July 26, 2021, for the continuation of his trial
Briefing the media in Aba, chairman of the Association, Chief Chuks Muomah, SAN, who was represented by Chief Ukpai Ukairo, condemned the illegal manner in which Kanu was intercepted and brought to Nigeria.
The association called on the British government to investigate the illegality to ascertain how the IPOB Leader was moved from Kenya to Nigeria.
The group stated that one of its major objectives is to fight and protect the justifiable course of the Igbo man to fairness, justice and equity in Nigeria, stressing that it will henceforth, interface with all pro-Igbo organizations including the World Igbo Congress, WIC, for the attainment of the objectives.
“We’re calling on the British government to interrogate the interception of a British citizen, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya and the subsequent detention in Nigeria.
“We are doing this because we want the British government to ensure the reversal of the illegality of that interception.
“We are also giving notice that Igbo Lawyers Association is mobilizing lawyers from across the globe to put up the best defence available under municipal and international law in defence of the rights of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“This is because we stand on the pedestal that there must be a fair trial within the prism of settled international guidelines to ensure justice. We’re already in touch with Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor and he’s aware.
“The Honourable Attorney General of the Federation used the word interception and not arrest because he knows that what happened cannot come under the definition of an arrest.
“An interception is a kidnap and abduction. Having intercepted him, brought him to court, what we are saying is that all tenets of justice must be observed,” the Association said.

The government needs to mark a new area like Ngor-Okpala and plan it very well. Though I agree with you that and should not be given for free. Airport road, Ngor Okpala and adjoining areas have vast lands that could be used. Other areas that can be used include Umuokanye in Ohaji or Okuku side. Even New Owerri still has vast areas that are still undeveloped. However, except there is serious effort made to move economic activity elsewhere, Wetheral/Okigwe/Bank road axis will remain the CBD even in the foreseeable future. |
