BusinessRe: Can You Fast For A Whole Year To Become A Billionaire? by FrenchyL(m): 6:11pm On Nov 04, 2012
Fasting won't make you rich. It sharpens your spiritual antenna to hear from God. If you want to be wealthy you need to apply God's principles for financial increase. You must be a giver, not just giving to anyone in need but giving to favor his righteous cause, that is if you are a christian. You also need to think and strategize ways you can make money by either providing a service or a product. When you do these things, the Lord will cause the works of your hands to prosper beyond your wildest imagination. God bless you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Am Tired Of Life by FrenchyL(m): 2:39pm On Oct 08, 2012
sadeiyare: Money is goten as a reward for the problem you solve
The kind of problem you solve determine, the amount you get
The kind of people you solve problems for also determine your pay

You have four ways to generate income
1.Your gift
2.Talent
3.Profession
4.Job

You just lost your job ; if you were a professional, you won't be complaning here.
Just like an electrician, he can never go out of work because of the fact that the world depends mostly on electricity to function.
Talent. An author, can live on just one good book for the rest of his/her life, all things been equal
Gift : Think of someone like don moen, his gift has settled his bills for life

And income should be generated for short-term, mid-term and long-term bases.
You vision is not fortified enough, until it can execute itself.

Never ever give up winning ; the devil never give up loosing.
Patience is not patient, until it patient has achieved what patience is patient for.
GODSPEED
You just said what i had in mind. What skills and talents do you have? Look within yourself and you will be amazed at what you have. You might not need to apply for a job anymore because you could be an employer of labor yourself. Yes you can!!

RomanceRe: Marrying A Nigerian Pastor: What Is it Like? by FrenchyL(m): 2:02pm On Oct 03, 2012
bankylan: I seldom visit nairaland these days...but i wonder why nairalanders always speak about Pastors....
But to answer your question, I think the question is flawed. Marriage decision should be about what defines the particular person....what is his personality....If being a Nigerian pastor is all that defines him, then you may be making a wrong choice. Who is he outside his pastoral duties? This should be your concern as you will live with his person more than his duties?
But if this questions is all about mocking the Nigerian pastor, then it will be very unfortunate....
if it is easy to be a pastor and make money, I wonder why some critics have not decided to be pastors.
Pastors don't live on tithes, and in an ideal church, pastors don't have anything to do with Church's tithes. Most pastors are on salary, and some don't even collect salary because they have their own business.

Most of you often question the decision of pastors to own business, but you have failed to acknowledge the fact that pastors have responsibilities of providing for their immediate family and sending their children to good schools. Besides, if a Pastor has not defeated poverty, how will he convince his members that God is able to provide for all their needs. I grew up in CAC, and I know how pastors and their families suffer to live. But things are changing now, and most pastors are business minded. Shepherding a church does not exclude you from doing business. It is nothing but a mental laziness not to think of strategic business that will not take your time. It is now all about insights, and that is the advantage of some pentecostal pastors we have today. In my church, my Pastor is the number one tither. He preaches on Tue, Wed, and twice on Sundays, yet he still have time for his private business. There are so many other pastors like that. It is quite unfortunate that many people still expect to see Pastors in tattered dress, and cherish the the feelings that they are the one feeding pastors and his family.
I just have the feelings that most people here abusing men of God are still in their twenties or have not encountered the power of God in their lives. Most critics I have met in my life are the most frustrated human beings on earth. But I have never seen a rich and blessed person criticize anyhow. Constructive criticism is welcomed, but when it comes to being abusive, then I can bet that the critics are either poor, broke, jobless, frustrated, or unbelievers.
Spot on Sir. You just communicated what was in my spirit. I only hope that the skeptics on this thread see the spirit and sense in your line of thought. smiley smiley

Hello All,
i used to talk and think that i was NEVER get married to a lady who didn't have a university degree until i met my wife. I honestly don't think i would have met any woman who completes me in every way. She is still in one of the Universities in the UK, doing an online course and working. The twist to it is that she earns much much than myself but yet very humble. The summary of my contribution to this thread is that UNIVERSITY DEGREES DON'T MAKE A GOOD WIFE OR HUSBAND,what you should look out for is understanding and compatibility on most levels. smiley smiley

HealthDo Our Security Personnel Have Any Training On How To Administer First Aid?? by FrenchyL(op): 1:57pm On Sep 06, 2012
Hello Everyone,
on my way to work today i witnessed something shocking. I saw a man on the ground and it looked as if he fainted or maybe he was even dead. Be his side were 4 armed policemen, all they did was to touch him and keep looking at him without doing any further thing. So i asked myself why they were not doing anything like administering first aid to keep him alive or to revive him. Maybe the question i should be asking is this: Do our security personnel receive any training in the administration of First aid? huh
