But OP never stated reasons, or gave instances.
If you check well the reason they don't get along might not necessarily be the wife's fault.

Judging from my experience of how overly entitled the relatives of African males can be.
I remember my useless mother inlaw telling me she bought me with her money and can do whatever she likes to me, despite my parents sponsored the wedding down to cloth her son wore on wedding day, I paid rent that we live in, my parents as a tradition don't collect bride price...

My husband came with incomplete yams and very empty box I rejected on wedding day despite I and my parents foot all bills and I even paid over 70% of rent o(I basically paid rent and he paid agreement fee and co coz he begged not to postpone wedding coz covid 19 affected his finance etc... Plus my parents particularly my mum kept pressuring it's bad omen to keep shifting wedding date).

So I don't Know what the evil Aduni Ilegbusi (ex mother inlaw) feels she bought me with!

This same inlaw I arranged Xmas package for despite their son refused to drop money asking me if it's only December they will be eating "onje Omo", despite I got married to their son in August and take gifts there even before December, but December was when I took bulk shopping...

Same ppl I sent biscuits to their grandson, and the motherinlaw called me the next weekend I went there, that the biscuits I sent to posi, she went to look for it, it's 1250 naira, it's too expensive, that's how their son will not build house... She bought cabin biscuit instead, so I should be buying cabin...

Now same useless inlaw whose daughter got pregnant twice outside wedlock and wears bumbshots telling me who married her son a virgin that my knee length wear is too short...

All manner of madness demands within one year of marriage.

Stupid inlaws vexing I only come visit during weekends. I explained I work from home during the week. Yet it didn't sit well with the useless ppl.

Guy u no know wetin u de yarn abeg, a blinking Lt order a Warrant officer to swim in mud! May be it can happen to a Private or L/CPL but never a Warrant officer, to attain the rank of WO u must have put in not less than 20 years in service, na I'm one blinking Lt, that just passed out from NDA or Colito wey just hang Lt go kon the throw smoke for a WO! At worst he can order him to report at the Mess, remove belt and shoes, then just de high inside de mess. Some Captains de even fear to talk to some Warrant Officers, especially if he's an appointment holder like Unit RSM or even chief clerk. In most instances, the WO even trained the Lt while at the academy as a blinking cadet, so that fear still de. A Warrant officer is like a general among the Non commissioned officers and wields a reasonable amount of respect and influence, so as an officer before u fit get liver talk down on him u need check urself well.

Citing the OP's submission, the man's behavior is bad - shame on him if he has unjustifiably acted in such manner - he can do better, no matter the circumstances. However, your tactical support for cynicism and contentiousness among couples is rather repulsive; you'll be doing more harm than good to your clients in particular and the marriage institution in general, if you continue with this kind of mentality. It's unethical for a couple to unjustifiably mete out distrust and rebelliousness towards another - two conscientious people in pursuit of a common goal shouldn't be caught doing such against one another. Cynicism in particular is the unpronounced major cause of disunity among couples.

As a divorce attorney, a conscientious one I have to believe, your first duty is to master the act of differentiating altruistic couples from egoistic ones and avoid giving the former advice meant for the latter. You (a divorce attorney) can't have a successful career if you fail in this regard.

Resourcefulness is refreshing and engaging, however, it always becomes a toxic if the aim behind the grit is to cushion cynicism in particular and subjugation is general.

Bro, morality is a subjective value judgement from an individual point of view. What I see as wrongdoing based on my own sense of judgement may escape your own value judgement as being bad. Most morals are put forward based on subjective perception and not based on what is generally inherent to human. Take for instance, some people sees no dignity in woman hoeing arround, while some sees it as an alternative way for women to overcome the present economic onslaught in Nigeria. Women who engage in such act may not want to agree with u labeling it an immoral act. Wherever we finds ourselves and our sense of value orientation determines what we consider moral or immoral... Don't you know it will be immoral to legally marry your sister in this our society, whereas this is the best practises in some other clime beyond our immediate society...there is much to say but ah no get such time for now...bro pls manage this
