GboyegaD:Read the write-up very well. The church didn’t condemn her, rather they just took the spotlight away from her as that would be raising too many questions and she would not be posing a good example to other young ones in the church. 1 Like |

dawnomike:I have a friend that lives there. They were given proper notice for up to 2 months. I was the one that pressured him to comply. He finally moved out last week only to wake up to this horror this morning. He has been thanking me since. We Nigerians have a way of leaving things till the last minute before doing it and it’s bad. Just like Durumi phase 1, those ones have been given notice since Obasanjo’s regime. When government will finally want to act, people will come online to start crying. Finally, I nearly bought a land in one of the villages in Apo, when I discovered that there’s a notice for demolition, I took to my heels. Lo and behold, 2 months after, I went back there and couldn’t find the land again. The place have become a major roadway. Yes our government can be insensitive sometimes but we are a stubborn set of people. 3 Likes |

GboyegaD:Same thing I did on my wedding day. I moved everything to one location (A hotel). Did a very small church wedding in a small garden close to the reception ground and after the photo op, My wife and I went into our room to eat and freshen up. After an hour we just strolled to the reception ground and party continued. Spend that extra money and give yourself peace of mind. 2 Likes |

This here is the problem. If this is a request, it would have made more sense. How many of these people can comfortably go to their villages and spend a weekend there without fear? Sycophancy is very bad. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Joe Biden Picks Senator Kamala Harris as VP by fujirice: 9:45am On Aug 12, 2020 |
hammer3:Some of you are funny with the way you analyze things. America is NOT Nigeria where the president controls everything and his word is final. The police being held accountable is no way Trump’s doing but the people getting fed up with their (Police’s) highhandedness. Yes the Democrats may be cashing out on the protests and COVID-19 but who wouldn’t? APC cashed out big time with bring back our girls that toppled Jonathan’s government and that’s politics for you. I like Trump, even with his racist demeanor he did well for America but his careless utterances and tirade attacks on the media diminished his achievements and these are the guys that are supposed to project his image to the world. Right now, his campaign organization does not even have a message for the people yet and time is fast running out. IF he survives and gets re-elected, that would be a huge miracle. I personally don’t trust that Biden guy, I wish they had a better candidate. My advice to the US is to stick with the devil they know. Truth is Trump is not gaining new supporters, rather, he’s losing the ones he had and that’s very very bad for his re-election. |

Politics / Re: Oba Of Benin Thanks Buhari For Endorsing Ize-Iyamu by fujirice: 9:36am On Aug 09, 2020 |
NoToPile:Yes they are palace boys but that does not mean that they are on chains. And what the person said is that those are bangles (which I referred to as ornaments). Now, look at the arrow you drew and follow it to the right leg. Can you see where it terminates? On the boys ankle and not even on the bangle. Secondly, if that boy is on that kind of restraint, how will he walk or even “protect” the Oba assuming a harm is to come on the Oba. If he’s to walk ahead or behind the Oba, how will he do it, hop? It doesn’t make sense naw. Follow the white lines on the tiles very well and you will see that it’s just an optical illusion. 1 Like |

Sammy07:I’m glad you said “something like” but you’ve already concluded and started raining abuses on the black race. What you see on their feet is ornament worn by Bini people. I know it looks like a chain but if you look very closely you will see that it’s the demarcation between one tile on the floor and the other. The tiles are demarcated by white lines that coincided with the ornaments making it look like a chain. It’s called optical illusion. Next time get all your facts right before jumping to conclusions. Thank you. 10 Likes |

Health / Re: Ladies, How Many Sanitary Pads Do You Use Per Cycle? by fujirice: 2:36pm On Aug 08, 2020 |
I see no sense in the comparison between pad and condoms though. It waters down your advocacy. Just like I hear people calling for nationwide protests condemning the youths because of BBN. There is really no basis there for comparison. That being said, I support the call for sanitary pad subsidy. #padsubsidy 1 Like |

charlesm91:I am a fan of good football, even though I support Chelsea but that does not mean I don’t have my own preferences when it comes to skim of things. And like I said, if you keep Zidane, Klopp and Guardiola on a pedestal and ask me to choose who’s best, I’d choose Klopp twice and Guardiola once before considering Zidane. My reason is that we have seen Klopp build Liverpool before our very eyes with almost average players same work he did in Dortmund. Can Zidane do same without his world record breaking players? Like I said, we all know Guardiola’s quality so no need to even talk about that one. |

RealEzee:Ogbeni learn how to argue and get your point across without sounding stupid. Which one is bad belle dey worry me? Am I a coach? Am I even from Spain, Germany or England? Based on what we have seen I made my choice that Klopp is a better coach to me not what the FA says and you are here talking rubbish about bad belle. Abeg shift one side. |
