HH SLS is an excellent presidential candidate.

All sentiments aside.

Ask yourself why he never wanted Gandunje.

Do not believe everything the media feeds you.
I don't need to ask what the Emir's political preferences were, the point is he had a duty to remain politically neutral as required of his stool, and fell short of that.

Hence my submission was derived from common sense and not media propaganda as you wrongly assumed.

Pls you don't know half the story.... the media only reports the parts that they want to about the feud because SLS has more friends with media connections so they always tried to put him as the victim. Like i said earlier only insiders know what happened and the offenses committed by SLS that agitated ganduje.

Abeg no quote me again, to each his opinion and thoughts.
SLS' biggest mistake was being partisan in the last elections. He should have been a father of all as expected.

I daresay he fits many offices, even greater offices for the truth he speaks and the pedigree he has, but not that of the Emir of Kano.

Jona offended us as a country.

He presided over Nigerias biggest oil boom since the Gulf war and wasted the opportunity, instead leading us into a recession.

Unfortunately too many youths are blinded by ethnic sentiments to do simple research and decipher this fact.

See how they're shamelessly struggling to benefit from projects planned by a "lifeless" President, even declaring a strange sudden support for Sai Baba...

Its because they know like the Ibadan, Kajola & Kaduna rail projects, they WILL be delivered and they don't want to left behind when others start reaping the multiplier benefits of these infrastructural projects in the near future.

Nigeria actually has one of, if not the best military in Africa and we are world renowned for our exploits especially in peacekeeping (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Darfur etc.) for decades, which is why some of us are increasingly suspicious of the BH insurgency which has proven unusually problematic for our usually gallant forces.

May God bless our Armed Forces and guide them to defeat our enemies once and for all. Congratulations.

Though South West have produced president for 8yrs & vice president going for 8 yrs it is reasonable that we supported them to produce Nigerian President come 2023 bco .I have searched the whole of South East non of them is qualified to take up the mantle
(1)In the two leading political parties APC & PDP,all the members from South East geo political zone in the said political parties are not trusted thereby not counted worthy.
(2)They don't have what it takes to move the nation forward.
(3) Because of their naivety countries of world do not trust them with any political appointment
(4)They are only good in buying & selling
Therefore I have told South East people who can listen to stop dreaming for presidency and support a candidate from South west.
Your choice is seconded.

Osibanjo will make a fine President.

Osho Baba is taking the medication he once gave to some elites. Indeed nothing last forever. He should have known that the northerners would want to hold power come 2023. He has done his bit by keeping the presidency with the north and has no part to play in the script for 2023.
I agree with most of your post except for the bolded as the opposite is the case. Most of us want the South to get the presidential ticket in 2023 in the interest of national unity; and that is not possible with a southern party chairman (which is why this directive comes as no surprise). A Northerner will likely be appointed soon in furtherance of this objective.

Oshiomole is gone, and his incompetence in overseeing the gubernatorial screening panel which recently cost the party Bayelsa state (among others) leaves him little sympathy.

Politics › Re: Does Nnamdi Kanu Actually Have A University Degree? by fulanimafia:

The difference is that kanu does not seek political power. Kanu is not seeking any political position. What Kanu is leading is a pressure group that wants a referendum conducted in a part of Nigeria.

Since Kanu is not a politician or a political leader, his educational qualification is not important. What is important is the ideology he is championing.
Leadership is the key issue here, whether political or otherwise. A good leader ought to have the right education to be effective.

If Kanu had anything upstairs, he'd realise a referendum can only be gotten through constitutional amendment which requires the support of the same people he and his minions brainlessly insult and attack daily. Another evidence of his lack of proper education, and its importance in leadership.

Continue to make excuses for your semi literate dropout and keep wondering why your "pressure group" continues to fail in achieving its objectives.
Politics › Re: Does Nnamdi Kanu Actually Have A University Degree? by fulanimafia:
gidgiddy:
You got this backwards. You can have all the Degrees and education in the world, but if you do not have the charisma to galvanise people to join your movement, its a non starter.

Kanu galvanised people to the cause of Biafra, got them talking about something that was almost a taboo, organised a global movement that has representation in many countries. But what you are interested in is if he has a Degree? All those with Degrees in Nigeria, have they managed to engineer the sort of social revolution like Kanu did?

How many people in Nigeria, outside Government, can organise a mass-movement of people to key into a cause? Not too many

Go sleep if you have nothing worthwhile to say
Buhari has even greater charisma as evidenced by his huge followership over the years, YET you thought it was inadequate and pestered him for his educational credentials as proof of leadership competence.

Now you are asked to do the same for your dropout leader and you are shifting the goalpost back to "only charisma is enough".

No wonder the fugitive often sounds like a stark illiterate with his brainless declarations (e.g. bringing back the Presidents head to ipob grin)

Jokers.

On his Wiki page, they say he ''studied'' a course called ''Political Economics'', at London Guildhall University, an institution that was merged in 2002 with the University of North London to become 'London Metropolitan University'.

Added to this dodgy account, I've never seen it written anywhere that he actually graduated and has a degree.

Can anyone shed light on this?

Normally his Wiki biography would mention if he has a BSc or graduated.

But it just says he ''studied'' the course.

What the hell does that mean?
Bragalane:
Next time you do not have an answer to a question on NL you shut your foolish mouth. So some foolish igbo own the audacity to query a certificate WAEC chairman personally presented to Buhari but same foolish set of fools deny others the right to query if Kanu even attended kindergarten ?!
There is absolutely no proof that Nnamdi Kanu has a WAEC certificate or even attended that London University claimed (talk less of graduating)...the claim is only on Wikipedia which is easily editable by any ipob cretin with a cheap Tecno seeking clout for his master.

We have seen pictures of him at work in his matrimonial bed, so getting a couple of pictures with his University coursemates shouldn't be so difficult.

“In 2015, only 198,000 votes came in from the entire south-east. In 2019, we had a little above 400,000,” he told The Nation. "

“ You can imagine Anambra state, for example, bringing in less than 50,000 votes when our members in that state are over 200,000. What it means is that even APC members did not vote for our President."

“The fact that you are from South-east of from any other area is neither here or there. So, if the people from the South-east are aspiring to become Nigeria’s president, I think the first thing to do is to work within the party and then get the rest of Nigerians to accept them for that position. So, I believe that it is not a right. That is what I would say.

The south-east needs to play good politics, the politics of engagement, the politics of consultation, the politics of getting the other parts of Nigeria involved in their aspirations.

“But for now I don’t think we are playing good politics. It is a question of give and take, I’m an Igbo man and I need to be very objective. "

“You also need to encourage people to do something for you. You cannot at every point be asking for something without giving something back.”
What a sincere, honest and objective Igbo man.

A rare breed.

Kudos.

Imagine a common politically irrelevant 5%er calling Zamfara politically insignificant grin. The entire East, not just Imo, is politically irrelevant in Nigerian political affairs and I can bring up the results of the past elections to prove it. You are too insignificant to even rule yourselves.

Why else are Imolites and other Igbos falling over themselves agitating for Northern presidency again in 2023 if not that they're too insignificant to get it for themselves? Why did Obi have to line up behind Atiku to get a chance to enter Aso Rock?

Lol just leave this matter of political insignificance if you don't want to ruin your morning.

Qadaffi2idiamin:
You forgot to remember that Zamfara had the same political crises right?

I see you have left sense.... There is no way you can compare these two cases. Rivers had same party crisis.. You are just another poor thinker.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/05/29/politics/supreme-court-cases-overturned-history-constitution-trnd/index.html
Not outrightly impossible, but extremely difficult and unlikely (especially in this case and clime) because a supreme Court judgement can only be overturned in two ways :

1.When a different case involving the same constitutional issues as an earlier case is reviewed by the court and seen in a new light, typically because of changing social and political situations. The longer the amount of time between the cases, the more likely this is to occur (partly due to stare decisis).

2. Constitutional amendment requiring 2/3 majority.

Imo is politically insignificant compared to Zamfara in our national politics. How many votes did Imo produce for the ruling party compared to Zamfara? Imo state that was so democratically backward and torn apart by the bid by its governor to appoint his relative as successor?

Yes it was a gift and you must maintain that same energy you had in accepting the Zamfara judgement.

P. S We know Imo's influence in the East and that's why APC has taken over both the executive and legislature.

Actually, yes.

Imagine a murder case or rape trial where new evidence (possibly DNA testing) comes out to prove that the culprit didn't commit the offence, do you think because the supreme court has given its judgement the judgment won't be reversed?

People actually get release from jail after serving up to 7 years for crime because the police stumbled on evidence proving innocence.

Yes, there is a finality to the Supreme Court but it the court isn't closed to reversing itself in the face of overwhelmingly new evidence
Since we are all learning, kindly provide a case or legal precedent to back up your claim. This is because I'm inclined to disagree with your assertion.

I am asking for a case where the supreme Court of any country admitted new evidence and reviewed their judgement after it had been given.

Actually the Supreme Court can change a judgment based on new evidence and/or clerical error.

In the case of Hope and Ihedioha, the argument of total accredited voted vs total votes casted can be viewed as a clerical error that was not considered by the court as these numbers are an aberration to the constitution which the Supreme Court draws its powers from
Did you just suggest a Supreme Court can admit new evidence after it has passed judgement?
