5. *BABATUNDE FOWLER* was appointed by Tinubu as Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. He was the immediate past Federal Inland Revenue Service Executive Chairman in our country.

7. *SUNDAY DARE,* was SA/ COS to Tinubu, today he is a Minister for sports.

8. *BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU* was Tinubu's Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, he is now Governor of Lagos State.

*At the National Assembly* there are countless "Tinubu boys" who have occupied and are still occupying seats till today including N0 4 citizen of Nigeria, *Speaker, House of Reps*

Since 1999, the Tinubu camp has produced almost 98% of the members of the National Assembly from Lagos State. Forget politics, this man is a political enigma. Rewind to 1999, I am sure most of us have forgotten the names of the People who were elected Governors when he was elected governor too, some of them have gone into political extinction or gasping for breath politically.

Indeed, most of them are no longer relevant today.

Tinubu has not only managed to remain extremely relevant, he has continued to control Lagos politics 100%. Not only that, he manages to carry his boys along and today they occupy critical positions in our national life.

Take it or leave it, Tinubu is today, Nigeria's most powerful politician. It didn't just happen by chance. He worked very hard for it. Very very hard. The hallmark of a true and Born leader is not just the ability to rule well but also the ability to nurture and groom associates.

Tinubu is not like some other politicians in Nigeria, He is a goal getter.....

There is nothing he touches that doesn't excel.

The Enugu State Development Association, ESDA, says it will continue to resonate hope, renewed spirit of brotherhood, patriotism, and sense of fulfilment among the present generation and those yet unborn.

The President General of ESDA and traditional rulers of Umuawalagu-Narah autonomous community, Igwe Abel Nwobodo made this known during a press conference on Friday in Enugu at the preparation for the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the creation of Enugu state.

The traditional ruler noted that movement that greeted the call for a new state where the Wawa-man could feel the peace, serenity and wholeness in going about his normal business was born the day Enugu state was created.

“Today’s Enugu state is an outcome of a resilient struggle, vigorous pursuit by a people determined to emancipate themselves from the scourge of modern servitude by the founding fathers of the state

“Indeed the spirit of the dogged and purposeful struggle was to bequeath to the people of Wawa speaking area of a state they could call their own, a state where they could make limitless exploits in education, business, science, technology, and industry; and most importantly, a state anchored on the pillars of peace, development, growth, unity, equity and justice”. Nwobodo said.

The association also recognized the selfless commitment, uncommon patriotism, and the bruises sustained by the founding fathers of Enugu state.

“It’s because of them that Wawa land has found a strong voice in Nigeria. It’s because of them that we’ve found a new world we are all proud of.

“It is our duty to recall with nostalgia, their sacrifices and the state of our nation today. We are delighted to appreciate the likes of His Excellencies, Jim Nwobodo, Christian Onoh, Okwesilieze Nwodo, Chimaroke Nnamani, Sullivan Chime, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

“The efforts of the unsung heroes towards the state’s creation are greatly celebrated and appreciated”. Igwe Nwobodo stated.

The association noted that in fulfilling these dreams of the good people of Enugu state and the Wawa people, the present governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi deployed the machinery of government to create fair and equal opportunity for every citizen to make a living, enjoy life in a peaceful and secure environment.

“He has been able to pursue with every sense of vigor, social and security services across the state such as free education for all children, employment generation for the teeming youths through industrial and innovative drive in agriculture, production, small and medium scale enterprise, information technology and communication, enhanced healthcare system, expanded rural development and a just and secure atmosphere for the people”. Igwe Nwobodo stated.

Recall that Enugu state was created on the 27 of August, 1991 and all is set for the 31st anniversary celebration.

The Katsina Police Command on Thursday said the 25-year-old man, Najib Shehu, who used a pestle to kill his stepmother last Thursday in katsina would be arraigned in court anytime from now.

The command’s spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, made the disclosure shortly after Shehu was paraded at the command’s headquarters, katsina.

Also displayed during the parade was the pestle that the suspect used in killing the 60- year old woman.

Shehu who spoke in Hausa and in altering English explained, “My name is Najib Shehu. I am 25-year-old and a 200-level Education Management student at the Federal University, Dutsin-ma.

“I have been having issues with my stepmother. But on that day, Thursday, I had just observed prayers and returned to our house.

My father was sitting in the sitting room. Then, my stepmother entered holding a pestle and threatening me with it.

“She raised the pestle up to hit my head but I defended it. Then she wanted to hit on my legs but being a footballer, I jumped up and dodged it. That one hit my father’s leg who was coming to intervene.

Again, my stepmother raised the pestle up and wanted to hit me on the head again and I pushed her, the development which made the pestle hit her on the head and caused her to fall down and died.

“My mother is the first wife of my father and they are separated. I am however staying together with my father along with my stepmother at Ambassador Quarters, Katsina here. I regret my action as I did not want to commit the sin.”

The Command’s spokesman told journalists after the parade that Shehu would be arraigned in court immediately after the completion of the police investigation.

“You know it is a murder case and we must investigate thoroughly. We shall arraign him in court anytime from now immediately after the completion of our investigation,” Isah said.

A statement issued by the command on the incident added, “On 18, August 2022 at about 4 p.m, one Najib Shehu, 25, of Ambassador Quarters, Katsina, had a misunderstanding with his stepmother, Asiya Mohammed, 60 years of the same address.

He went to the kitchen, grabbed a pestle, hit her severally with it on her head and as a result of which she sustained head injuries and was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

“In the spur of the moment, the suspect also hit his father severally with the said pestle on his leg and sustained a fracture in different places on his leg.

The suspect has been arrested and confessed to the commission of the offence. The said pestle has been recovered as an exhibit. An investigation is ongoing.”

Family sources said the father is currently on admission at a hospital in katsina, receiving treatment.

There was no official reaction yet from the Federal University, Dutsin-ma on Shehu’s claim that he was a student of the institution.

The Federal Government, on Tuesday, signed a fresh agreement with the Government of the United States of America, USA, for the repatriation of a total sum of $23, 439, 724 that was allegedly looted by the late former military Head of State, General Sani Abacha.

While the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, [b]Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, represented FG in the ceremonial signing of the asset return agreement held at the Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters in Abuja, the US government, was represented by its Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonar[/b]d.

The AGF, Malami, SAN, said decision to return the stolen loot which he tagged as Abacha-5, was a product of series of negotiations and meetings between Nigeria, the US Department of Justice and the UK National Crime Agency, NCA.

“It is worthy to note that in line with the terms of this Agreement, Mr. President had already approved the funds to be utilized for the ongoing Presidential Development Infrastructural Funds, PIDF, projects namely; Abuja-Kano Road, Lagos-Ibadan Express Way and the Second Niger Bridge under the supervision of Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, NSIA

“The President’s mandate to my office is to ensure that all international recoveries are transparently invested and monitored by civil society organization to compete these three projects within the agreed timeline”, Malami stated.

Nigerian singer/songwriter, Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy has jumped on the trending Shettima challenge.

The challenge started as a result of the outfit worn by the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressive congress, Kashim Shettima, to the opening ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual general conference.

Shettima wore a dark suit, a red tie and a pair of sneakers to the conference on Monday in Lagos.

His critics accused him of lacking style over a viral photo of him seated with his suit buttoned and his tie bulging.

Joining the challenge on Tuesday, the activist posted a photo of himself on Instagram wearing a similar outfit.

Captioning the photo, he wrote: “Nothing my pikins no go make me do. I was ordered by one of my Area children to do the Shettima Challenge. Wahala for person wey no get tye Even though my shoe no show, but I try naah. Wetin u think?”

The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 1 Area Command, on Tuesday, disclosed that it has impounded two trucks belonging to the Dangote group of companies loaded with 303 smuggled bags of rice in different parts of the state.

The command added that it intercepted 3154 bags of foreign rice, declaring that it generated over N13 million from import duty and auction sales of petroleum products within August.

The Controller of NCS in the state, Bamidele Makinde, said this at a press briefing held in the Idi-Iroko area of the State.

Makinde said the cumulative Duty Paid Value for all the seizures made in August amounted to over N300 million.

He said, “A truck with Lagos State registration no. EKY 971 YE belonging to the Dangote group of companies, loaded with 75 bags of foreign parboiled rice of 50kg each concealed with 900 bags of Dangote cement, was intercepted along Ibeshe, Yewa-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Sunday, 21st August, 2022.

“Another Dangote truck with Kano State registration no. BCG 531 XA loaded with 288 bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice 50 kg each concealed with some bags of Dangote cement along Lafenwa, Abeokuta axis, Ogun State, on 23rd August 2022.

“Other items seized include 15 pieces of used compressor; 8 units of used vehicle; 6 units of the motorcycle; 153 bails and 68 sacks of used cloths; 79 sacks of used shoes; 111 cartons and 220 pieces of foreign wines; 301 pieces of used tyres, 18,100 litres of PMS; 310 cartons of frozen poultry products and 16 sacks of used bags.”

He said, “During the period of review, the Command generated a total sum of thirteen million eight hundred and Forty-eight thousand, three hundred and seventy naira, zero kobos (N13,848,370.00) only from imported duty and auction sales of petroleum products intercepted during anti-smuggling operations.

“The cumulative duty paid value for all the seizures amounted to N311,924,551.92.”

Makinde implored Nigerians to cooperate with the NCS by dealing in legal businesses.

The Comptroller assured legitimate business communities of the command’s maximum operation for trade facilitation.
