Breaking News…..

Remember the girl that was sacked after she attended Peter obi rally in port harcourt.

I just finished interviewing her on the phone.

Number one: She was on off duty when she went for the port harcourt rally.

Number two : She works in a hotel in port harcourt which I don’t want to mention the name.

Number three : She is also a student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and it’s from the work and little salary she trains herself in school.

After interviewing her, I found out she is gifted and her education can not be on a slow.

So starting from today 1 September 2022, she does not need to look for school fees for Ajuru university, because I have added her name to OPM local university scholarship till graduation.

Number 2, the hotel she was working her salary was 20k.

I have given her automatic employment to resume immediately in my water factory with double her former salary from 20k to 40k.

WHAT GOD CAN NOT DO, DOES NOT EXIST.

Charly Boy Makes Unbelievable Promise to Peter Obi as Campaign Season Draws Near

Ace entertainer and actor Charly Boy has promised to organise the greatest rally ever for Peter Obi's presidential ambition.

Charly Boy also publicly endorsed Obi's 2023 presidency publicly on Television on Thursday, September 1, 2023.

According to the entertainer, the planned rally for Peter Obi would take place before the end of this month, September, 2023.

One of Nigeria's entertainers and actors, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy , has promised to organise a mother of all protest for Peter Obi's presidential ambition.

Charly Boy on his personal Twitter account said he publicly endorsed Obi on Kakaaki, one of AIT's morning programmes.

The actor and influencer declared his endorsement of Obi ahead of the 2023 presidential election scheduled to take place in February next year, 2023.

Charly Boy had in June warned that he would relocate to Ghana should the 2023 presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and his Peoples Democratic Party's counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, emerge victorious at the polls.

His words:
“Finally, on Kakaaki today, I publicly endorsed Peter Obi. Before this month runs out I would stage the biggest rally ever."

The musician had earlier met Peter Obi when he visited one of his colleagues, Seun Kuti last month.

Peter Obi reveals how Nigeria can be restored, become a desirous nation. Peter Obi of the Labour Party had earlier said that a constitution review will put Nigeria on the right path to development.

The 2023 presidential candidate confirmed that a turnaround in Nigeria's current economic and security situation is possible.

According to Obi, Nigeria will recover with prayers and contributions in both human and material terms.

'This will happen to my children if I stole public fund', Peter Obi reacts to diversion of money allegations.

Peter Obi had earlier revealed that his prayer to God every day is to help him deliver good governance to the people should he become president in 2023.

The Labour Party's flag bearer said he also asks God to never let the Labour of the people be in vain.

According to Obi, contrary to claims by many, he has never stolen public funds while serving as a governor of Anambra state .

Truth be told. Peter Obi has not really distinguished himself from the rest of the pack by offering practical ideas for solving Nigeria's problems. And that's disappointing because he is supposed to offer a breath of fresh air.

For example the Nigeria Bar Association invited key presidential candidates to their conference and none of them presented any ideas on how to strengthen the judiciary and smoothen course of criminal justice including the improving the security of the of correctional centres and ways of decongesting it. Atiku beat around the bush. Shettima focused on himself and his oga. Peter Obi spoke merely 'grammar' as usual with emphasis on Nigeria being a failed state.

The difference between our leaders and those of developed countries are practical IDEAS to solve problems. Here, when problems show up, our leaders throw in money as solutions knowing that it is an avenue to loot.
Buhari distinguished himself when ur likes voted him back-2-back 4 two consecutive tenures, huh?

He has been moving frm state 2 state, nation 2 nation, media 2 media, granting interviews, answering questions, and all sorts, and wit his verifiable track records of integrity, accountability, probity & service delivery; if u stil don't see d difference wit all dis, then go ahead wit ur spirit of error & recycle ur criminals, looters, certificates forgers & corruption-personified candidates nah!

Given d 16yrs of PDP misgovernance & d 8yrs APC bloody rule, any sane person wil be thoughtful & smart enough 2 go 4 other parties or personalities!

Or, how is madness defined again?

Let's Try Peter Obi, Voting for Atiku is the same as retaining Bubari, Tinubu will be worst than Buhari - Shaban Shuaibu

Shaban Shuaibu Omoko on Twitter has this message for the Northerners, as he called them to try new hand.

In his post, he said Voting for Atiku Abubakar is the same as retaining Buhari , while he described Tinubu to be worst than Buhari.

His words read:
Dear Northerners, If I may ask you guys, what is the difference between Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari? For me, the two are the same.

President Muhammadu Buhari is a Fulani man whose history can be traced to Niger Republic.
Hence, he keeps spending Nigeria money on that Country.

Atiku Abubakar, also is a Fulani man, whose history also is traced to Niger Republic. Niger Republic is own by Fulanis. Fulani don't have land in Nigeria!

They take over North from the real owner, the Hausas, in the name of spreading Islam.

Atiku Abubakar has done nothing to ameliorate the suffering and Killings of Hausas by Fulanis in the North.

Like I said in one of my posts, nothing like bandits in the North.

What is happening is that Fulanis are at war with the Hausas. Fulanis kill Hausas at will. They gained the confidence because their brother is in power.

That is why today, Fulanis is now controlling many Hausas Communities whose inhabitants are mainly Farmers. Fulanis now tax these Hausas before they can go to their own farms.

Now Fulanis are taxing the Hausa to protect them from another Fulanis terrorists.

So, don't expect any thing different if you vote for Atiku Abubakar, he is still their brother.

Did you know that Atiku who is one of the richest politicians in Nigeria didn't have any tangible project in Adamawa?

He didn't have any tangible thing that he has done to benefit ordinary Not.

Rather they are fighting for Dangotes to monopolize Cement Production and distribution in Nigeria.

Hence, many Companies where shut down in 2000 when they came into power.

So, voting for Atiku Abubakar is the same as retaining Bubari; voting for Tinubu will be worst than Bubari.

Let's try new hand. Let's try Peter Obi.

God bless you all.

6,068 Nigerian Doctors Move To UK Under Buhari

No fewer than 6,068 medical doctors moved to the United Kingdom since the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), started in 2015, The PUNCH reports.

According to data obtained from the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom, the total number of Nigeria-trained doctors who migrated to the UK as of August 30, 2022 stood at 10,096.

Nigerian doctors who got medical qualifications in schools outside the country are not included in the data.

The data revealed that 233 Nigerian doctors passed the examination to practise in the UK in 2015.

The number increased to 279 in 2016, while the figure was 475 in 2017.

In 2018, the figure rose to 852 while it further increased to 1,347 in 2019.

In 2020, the figure was 833 despite the fact that the GMC closed operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The figure for 2021 was put at 932.

So far in 2022, the data revealed that 1,107 Nigerian-trained doctors have been licensed to practise.

Presently, Nigeria has the third highest number of foreign doctors working in the UK after India and Pakistan.

In an interview with The PUNCH on Tuesday, the Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, Alfa Yusuf, described brain drain as a menace bedevilling the health sector.

Yusuf expressed fear that it may get to a stage where Nigeria will have to be scouting for doctors in the country.

He said, “The only way to solve this is for the government to come up with a policy to address brain drain: good remuneration, hazard allowance paid as and when due and introduction of tax rebate, especially to health care workers.

“They should also give packages that entice our doctors to other countries. They should look at packages that will make our doctors stay in the country and not go elsewhere.”

The President of the Nigeria Medical Association, Uche Ojinma, had, in an earlier interview with The PUNCH, noted that the brain drain being witnessed in the country would worsen the health sector.

The Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie, had claimed that Nigeria has enough doctors.

Osagie, however, could not be reached for comments as calls and messages sent to him via his known telephone number were unanswered.

Other popular destinations for Nigeria-trained doctors include the United States, Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

BusinessN19.76tn Budget Proposal: N12tn Deficit Worries FG, Debt May Hit N54tn by FullBlastLight(op): 10:46am On Aug 31, 2022
N19.76tn Budget Proposal: N12tn Deficit Worries FG, Debt May Hit N54tn

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed

The Federal Government is proposing a budget with estimates totalling N19.76tn, while the deficit will hover between N11.30tn and N12.41tn in the 2023 fiscal year.

If the deficit settles at N12.41tn in 2023, the Federal Government may need to borrow to finance it, which could raise Nigeria’s total debt to a record N54.01tn.

Nigeria’s current debt is N41.6tn, according to the 2022 first quarter data from the Debt Management Office.

The debt will likely exceed the three per cent limit prescribed in the Fiscal Responsibility Act, which was earlier overshot by the current administration in 2020.

The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, said in Abuja on Monday, that the government might be unable to provide for treasury-funded capital projects next year, especially due to dwindling revenue and payment of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit popularly known as petrol.

Ahmed, in his presentation to the House of Representatives’ Committee on Finance at the hearing on the proposed 2023-2025 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper, expressed concern that crude oil production challenges and the petrol subsidy deductions by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (formerly Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation) constituted a major threat to the country’s revenue growth targets.

The minister added that the country must do things differently to get results.

She stated that bold, decisive and urgent action must be taken to address revenue under performance and expenditure efficiency at the national and sub-national levels.

The minister said, “In this scenario, the budget deficit is projected to be N11.30tn in 2023, up from N7.35tn in 2022. This represents 5.01 per cent of the estimated GDP (Gross Domestic Products), above the three per cent threshold stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007.”

Ahmed, who analysed the available options, said the government could opt for payment of petrol subsidy from January to December, adding that, “Given the severely constrained fiscal space, budget deficit is projected to be N12.41tn in 2023, up from N7.35tn budgeted in 2022, representing 196 percent of total FGN revenue or 5.50 per cent of the estimated GDP.”

She stated, “This is significantly above the three per cent threshold stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007 and there will be no provision for treasury funded MDA’s capital projects in 2023.”

According to the minister, under the first scenario, the government’s projected revenue for 2023 is N6.34tn, out of which only N373.17bn is expected from oil related revenue, while the balance of N5.97tn will come from non-oil sources.

On the second scenario, Ahmed said, “In addition to subsidy reform, this scenario assumes an aggregate implementation of cost-to-income limit of the government-owned companies. With these, the 2023 FGN revenue is projected at N8.46tn out of which N.99tn or 23 per cent is projected to come from oil revenue sources.”

Petrol subsidy
She noted that the business-as-usual scenario assumes that subsidy on petrol, which is estimated to be N6.7tn for a full year, will remain in 2023 and be fully provided for, while another scenario is the reform scenario which assumes that petrol subsidy will remain up to mid 2023 based on the 18 month extension announced early 2021, in which case, only N3.6tn will be provided for.

Speaking on the key assumptions of the proposed 2023 budget, Ahmed said oil benchmark was estimated at $70 per barrel, with an oil production benchmark of 1.69 million litres per day and an exchange rate of N435.02 to a dollar, while inflation is expected to grow at 17.16 per cent.

The minister added that the GDP was expected to grow at 3.75 per cent, while an upward pressure on prices is expected to be driven by the current and lag effect of the global price surge due to the Russia-Ukraine war, domestic insecurity, rising costs of imports, exchange rate depreciation as well as other supply side constraints.

The minister also noted that growth in nominal consumption had been adjusted in line with revised estimates based on changes in the components of the GDP and historical performances, adding that the medium-term nominal consumption is projected at N121.93tn in 2023.

Ahmed also said investments, especially Foreign Direct Investments, were expected to be reduced by hikes in interest rates in advanced economies, foreign exchange management concerns and other domestic challenges, including insecurity.

The minister noted that the key parameters as well as other macroeconomic projections driving the medium-term revenue and expenditure framework had been revised in line with the emergent realities.

She, however, pointed out that revenue generation remained a major fiscal constraint for the federation, stressing that the systemic resource mobilisation problem had been compounded by recent economic recessions.

Responding to various questions from members of the committee, the lawmakers, Ahmed said, “From what has happened in 2022, clearly what we are spending is not giving us much value because production continues to decline and what this means is, whatever we are doing is not working and, therefore, we have to do something totally different.”

Oil pipelines
Speaking on oil pipelines security, the minister said, “My understanding is that security agencies and the national oil company as well as the regulators have been working very hard to find solutions and what they tell us is that they are beginning to see improvement.

Oil production in April was 1.3 million barrels per day and by July it was 1.4 million. We do hope that the increase will be very significant because it is costing us not just N3.2bn in terms of security cost, but the revenue we have earned.

At 39 per cent, the oil and gas revenue as at April is at very low performance. We need to move oil and gas revenue the threshold.

“In the MTEF for 2023 to 2025, we have removed the federation spending on pipeline security, assuming that with the transition of the NNPC to NNPC Limited, they will be carrying that cost directly, not the federation.

The Petroleum Industry Act has given the NNPC some independence from the federation. Also as a registered company now under CAMA, they have to perform in line with the laws of the Company and Allied Matters Act.

A lot of the expenditure the federation used to carry will now be carried by NNPC Limited. NNPC will be paying taxes and dividends and we believe in the medium term, the federation will end up earning more revenue.

It also means that the NNPC will need to go and borrow money on its own. That will improve efficiency on the company. They have paid dividends and royalties to the federation, which they were not doing before.”

Ahmed further said, “On production, we are projecting 1.69 million barrels per day based on the projection of the NNPC.

They are projecting that all the measures taken now is going to result in increased production and we hope it works out. If it doesn’t, the deficit situation we found ourselves in will even be worse.

Speaking on the issue of Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline, the minister said the Federal Executive Council only recently approved funding for the feasibility study, which means that it is still at the feasibility study phase.

She also noted that the government had already removed the project from its funding, saying the NNPC will be able to provide the needed details about the project.

The Chairman of the Committee on Finance, James Faleke, pointed out that the current financial situation in the country requires that all revenue sources explored as the government was short of revenue.

Faleke said it was obvious that when there is no revenue, every aspect of the country suffers and asked all agencies appearing before the committee to provide the committee the correct position of their revenue.

He warned that no agency of government would be allowed to play with revenue of the country.

Commenting on the dwindling revenue and the high subsidy bill, the Chief Executive Officer, Center for the Promotion of Private Enterprise, Muda Yusuf, in an interview with The PUNCH said, said that already the debt service had exceeded government’s revenue.

He stated, “The new borrowing proposal would worsen an already bad debt situation.  Already, debt service has exceeded government revenue, going by the financial report of the Federal Government as of April this year.

We are already at a debt threshold that is not sustainable.  The economy is on the verge of bankruptcy.  The deepening of the debt crisis could crystallise the bankruptcy risk.”

PhonesMTN Leads The Way To A 5G World { Pictures } by FullBlastLight(op): 10:12am On Aug 31, 2022
MTN Leads The Way To A 5G World - Okoh Aihe

THE 5G technology is a big pie, a really big pie. Every country in the world wants to have a hand in it, especially those who have gone beyond the scramble for the daily grind of life.

Some are front runners, doing their stuff on the fast lane. A whole lot are pretenders trying to break into the league of the big boys.

But it is a league that brooks no pretences, a league that must be joined with demonstrable credentials, where execution of the rollout plan is the only certificate that guarantees valid entrance, at least, for those in the last mile end of the business.

But the big boys, from the more developed countries of the world, are not always very free-minded in admitting members into the league.

So, they set all kinds of hurdles, not frontally anyway but in a very subtle way, surrounding where and how an operator has to acquire equipment, to ensure they are not laced with espionage facilities.

You know the world must be protected from itself, but they hide their real intentions that the real fight is over who controls the technology, which really will become the strong global policeman of the future. Any country which controls 5G technology will in no time control the world.

The 5G technology is a big pie which comes at a huge cost but the returns are even more frightening. 2020 GSMA Intelligence report – The Mobile Economy, projects that by 2034, the technology will contribute $2.2 trillion to the global economy.

Something really huge and still booting, eh? Little surprise then that three companies in India are shelling out $19bn for air wave or spectrum sales with Ambani’s Reliance Jio doling out $11bn of that amount, just to broach the 5G ecosystem.

The other two are Bharti Airtel and Vodafone IDEA. Several billions will also be ploughed into the rollout phase which should happen as early as September this year.

5G is a game for the big boys who are ready to roll the dice without thinking of the consequences of the cost.

Countries are railing against countries just to control 5G technology in terms of equipment vending and service rollout, while corporates are outbidding each other in order to have some good control of some attractive economies.

But the technology will come at a cost that may only serve the interest of some data nerds.

It is therefore heart warming that MTN Nigeria has led the country to join this exclusive list of the big boys of the telecommunications industry when, last week, it rolled out 5G pilot services in three locations of the country, namely: Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Quite effusive about the development, the service provider said: “Today (August 24, 2022), MTN Nigeria Communications Plc (MTN Nigeria, or the Company) kicked off an open 5G pilot in the lead-up to its highly anticipated commercial launch.

The company, which intends to launch 5G services in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Owerri, and Maiduguri, is testing the next-generation network infrastructure.

Customers with certain enabled devices will be allowed to connect with and try out the new service where coverage is available.”

The caveat, however, is that the service can only be received by some devices that are 5G enabled, and this was duly communicated.

“To access the 5G network and enjoy its benefits, customers will need compatible devices, such as routers and mobile phones, which can be pre-ordered from designated MTN walk-in stores and online via the MTN Nigeria website and e-marketplace.

The pre-ordered devices can be picked up or will be delivered to customers post the launch event scheduled to take place in the coming weeks,” MTN said in the statement.

The game is on and before mid September the real deal will be unveiled to a nation that should have been fighting for a place at the top of the ladder but for the bungling attitude of the political class that has become an albatross. They make us look small in the eyes of the world.

Nobody needs to be reminded that what is happening is truly epochal and some kind of piercing light in the thick of darkness where hopelessness has form and shape, you know, the way they describe matter in elementary science.

The feat fires a can-do spirit which is one of the raw characteristics of the average Nigerian irrespective of the environment.

Adia Sowho, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, captured unfolding developments in the following words, cresting on 5G as the ultimate clincher.

“Every major technological evolution redefines what is possible – changing the way we live and the way we connect. MTN Nigeria has been at the forefront of every leap in telecommunications: from GSM to 2G, 3G, and 4G. 5G has the potential to change everything.

It will allow us to connect, create, collaborate, and compete in ways we’ve not even begun to imagine,”  she enthused.

MTN Nigeria emerged one of the two  winners of the 3.5GHz spectrum auction conducted by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, on December 13, last year.

The other winner is Mafab Communications. 3.5GHz is the spectrum band for 5G technology. The auction picked at $273.6m per license.

The licensees were given an August deadline to rollout services but all other rollout obligations were clearly stated in the Information Memorandum released before the auction.

So, it will be factual to state here that every bidder, including Airtel, which listed an exit bid of $270m, didn’t go into the playing field with eyes blindfolded or arms tied behind. It was an open book which remains a regulatory strength of the Commission.

From industry sources, it seems that MTN is ready to exceed expectations as per the rollout obligations which state as follows:

Year 1 to 2 – Starting from the effective date of the licence. Rollout service in at least one State in each geo-political zone: SW, SS, SE, NC (Including FCT), NW and NE.

From Year 3 to 5, additional 6 states other than those in Year 1 to 2, across the six geo-political zones, while from Year 6 to 10, operators are encouraged to roll out across all other states.

While one can call the rollout demands quite humble, it is clear to see that MTN is primed to meet all that and then position to cream off the high end of the business with an initial entry level of about 220 5G sites.

As it was in the past, so it will always be. When the dust settles MTN will be far in front while others shout helplessly about monopoly practices.

This writer can confirm that Mafab has been given a grace period within which to rollout services.

Industry sources however also confirm that the licensee is in frantic search for investors to enable it to fulfil its license obligations. My sympathies are for Mafab.

This administration has completely ruined the nation’s economy to the extentent that nobody will want to put serious money in an environment that looks seemingly hostile and failing fast.

Funding a 5G operation is no child’s play. Operaors in India are planning to invest between $15bn and $25bn each to cover the country’s market.

Even for a nation, such money will be a challenge when you look at the antecedents of this government.

Now our initial fears on this column are being justified, and this should be a regulatory lesson. The allegory of a David and Goliath doesn’t belong here.

Such a humongous license shouldn’t be given to a rookie struggling for limelight. India has demonstrated this by awarding 5G licenses mainly to existing and established operators who are able to pay the license fees and rollout services immediately.

Whatever it is, we stand with Mafab in its struggles. The organisation should be given time to rollout and not be troubled by any regulatory stipulations. After all, the 5G technology will be one of the few landmarks that this administration can point to as an achievement, and should not ruin it with its inability to read the future from a troubled present.

For the time being, this government should be sincere enough to express gratitude to MTN for providing some tech grains it can point to in the future as a legacy.

See what a lady was caught buying at public glare!

Just take a look at how she handles the one she specially carried.

She is like feeling it and possibly saying; "This one is custom made, aswear!"

Could she be a feminist?

Or, how do you see it?

My God!!!

There are more important issues bedeviling this country, like ASUU strike and yet this same government cares more over animals, than humans.

I am sorry to say this and don't want to mix words together, Hausa/Fulani keeps fighting over power that they cannot manage.

I don't see Nigeria getting any better in the next 100yrs.

I wonder how u cld be dis despondent!

Well, dt ur statement may make sense if ObiDatti2023 did not win d forthcoming Presidential election being d most competent, energetic, visionary, frugal & pple-oriented candidate wit a verifiable track records of integrity & resourcefulness!

Of course, we can't keep recycling all dis old & sickly corruption-personified criminals & certificates forgers & then expect their rotten evil trees 2 produce good fruits 4 d Nation!

Oyedepo Weeps After A Very Sad News Hits Him

The presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has wept bitterly on hearing the sad news of the death of the white woman who led him to Christ 53 years ago.

Betty Lasher, 92, died few days ago. She led Oyedepo to become born again at the age of 15 years.

Oyedepo said on Sunday that he sobbed when he was told that his ‘mother in the Lord’ Lasher had gone home to be with the Lord.

“My mother in the Lord went home two nights ago, Betty Lasher. I sobbed. I rose and wrote a poem, 53 years ago she changed my life. I spoke to her last month. You said you are too fast, I am not hearing you too well.

“I sensed in my spirit, that her time had come. Her aide had to talk to me and tell it to her one by one. She went upstairs like a saint. She was 92 on her last birthday. Let me give you a clip, Sweet Mother, Sweet Savour, Sweet Memory"

Oyedepo eulogised Lasher’s qualities, saying she was God’s agent that brought him out of darkness into light.

“Up till now, you better come and engage your heart. I said, “you have left an army behind who are following Jesus dedicatedly as you did”.

A number of them great ministers of the gospel, a number of them professors, big time businessmen who are still following Jesus with all their heart”.

“Engage your heart in all you do. She got hold of me at 15 and I have still not forgotten. All these halfway following, halfway disappearing is not life.

I have been given the grace to stick to wherever God leads me with all my heart. We shall all finish well. No one will miss his place in heaven.

“If I don’t know anything, I know sweet mommy is in her mansion. I know she has a crown right now because if I wasn’t saved, I won’t be in ministry. Whatever people got saved here will also be credited to her account. That is what happens to people you are leading to Christ,” he said.
