raumdeuter: He will say its Hausa so thats why I am picking from his side. Or Timipre Silva lets add Rasheedi Lodoja of oyo state in 2006 in build up to 2007 election , an election OBJ says its do or die Adidebu and his amala politics comes to mind . Both sylva and lodoja offended their bosses . sylva had been a long time rival of GEJ during the primaries in 2006 when he came second to GEJ , he was among those whom denied him been declared as acting president and a major broker in yaradua administration and GEJ paid him back in 2011 while ladoja forgot the hands that feed him . Just put, we have too much kids commenting on issues that is above their level , they dont read neither do they do research on history all these events is just little over a decade when social media was still in its infancy |

Built2last: If I was his political strategist. We will execute neatly sir. He has ample time for a come back. Tinubu has a lot of enemies in Abuja. The Assembly can be silenced and scattered in a day. Again loyalty is a function of what you are offering a man. In July 2014 , murtala nyako's impeachment was apparent because he defected to APC , majority of the legislatures refused to go with him including his deputy, after all his gambling he decided to declare a week long public holiday to buy more time , did that stop his impeachment. The presidency would not want to offend Mr tinubu because of ambode at the moment, its normal for them to seek dialogue in a situation like this. If denying him a second term would make APC stronger , its better . Don't forget that this same set of individuals against him where the ones whom stood for him 4 years ago when fashola had his own candidate. They have an ideology and a path , Mr ambode trespassed . the party machinery is controlled by them , they are the ones whom registers members , Mr ambode would contest and would only get a single vote , this is the humiliation they are warning about. we have made return ticket a custom in our politics, this is why this shit is making headlines |
Politics › Re: Opinion: What Ambode Must Do Now To Remain Relevant. by Fundamentalist: 2:41pm On Oct 01, 2018 |
Built2last: Ambode should take a deep breath. He has tried pleading with the emperor who seems implacable. The only option open to ambode is to be a man. Nowhere in Nigeria has a sitting governor been denied a second term run by his party. So the option open to ambode is to fight hard and fierce. Fight dirty very ugly if necessary. Ambode should appreciate the enormity of the powers of a governor. It is a glaring insult for the state's local government chairmen to owe sole allegiance to the emperor and openly denigrate the governor. Therefore ambode should do the following:
1. Ensure control over the judiciary especially that he trusts the chief judge otherwise change him. The chief judge is a key player in impeachment proceedings
2. Secure the support of key national party chiefs including buhari, el rufai, fashola, IG of police. Get close to chief of army staff. Then make effective use of the state commissioner of police to thwart any shenanigans by the house of assembly. In fact shut down house of assembly till further notice.
3. Fight the emperor with all might. Revoke his numerous C of Os, cancel alpha beta contract, burn down mysteriously TVC, RC, The Nation, expose all about alpha beta. Cancel contracts with hitech construction company and LCC. Remove Tinubu's daughter as head of the markets.
3. Refuse the direct primaries nonsense, insist on indirect primaries and forcefully take charge of apc organs in the state. Note that Tinubu and fashola were not subjected to direct primaries which are fraught with fraud since there is no fool proof register of APC members.
4. Sack all political appointees with dubious allegiance including sanwo olu and replace them with bold and brave loyalists ready to fight bloody grassroots battle.
5. Dissolve the local government chairmen and appoint loyal caretakers to take charge of all organs. Find and equip these caretakers adequately for battle.
6. Infliterate the house of assembly members through similar or bettet offers than the emperor makes
7. Align with other adversaries of the emperor in the South west such as akeredolu, ajumobi, amosun. Align against APC in osun state
8. Be prepared to cause APC to lose Lagos state rather than be disgraced. 9. Package g wagons for the obas in Lagos state and get many to your side.
10. Employ and deploy a deft and deadly media team to fully expose and embarrass the emperor constantly.
All these actions will create so much rumpus in the state APC that the national body will become so alarmed that they would send crisis management or reconciliation forces giving you the opportunity to extract concessions including security of your second term run. Your profile as the David beating goliath will be established eternally in the state. Then you would have saved the state from the mouth of the ogre. He can only do the above, if the 36 APC state legislatures loyal to jagaban don't impeach him just ask murtala nyako |

False
GEJ denied Sylva 2nd term ticket for Dickson. PDP denied Ladoja 2nd term ticket in Oyo state. Don't mind him , just to add mala kachalla in borno state didn't win a second time ticket in APP , when Ali modu sheriff was a senator in 2003 . Too much kids on nairaland |

Islam › Re: Child Naming In Islam by Fundamentalist: 10:01am On Jul 27, 2018 |
Rashduct4luv: The father has the sole right of naming the child. He can discuss with the mother as regard the name he wants and he can give the right to whoever he wants. And no Sunnah exist that forces you to name your kid after your ancestors. You can name your kid after your parents if such names are permissible in itself. What you mentioned is common is some cultures and we are not forced to follow such.
In Islamic Sharee'ah, some names are forbidden, some are disliked while the rest are permissible. If the name is permissible, then there is nothing wrong in naming your kid such name.
Example of names permissible are Authentic names of Allah joined with -Abd i.e. Abd-Allah, Abdur-Rahman, etc. Names of Prophets e.g Musa, 'Isa, Yuunus, Ibrahim, Muhammad, etc. Names of Sahabah eg Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, etc.
Example of Disliked names are names with bad meanings and ugly or unpleasant meanings. Also names which are sexually provocative. Names after immoral actors, actresses or imitating non-Muslims, etc. Names of Animals (like donkey, goat, pig,) offensive names, names ending with -deen eg Muhyideen, Shamsideen, Qomorudeen, and so much others
Examples of forbidden names are names which makes one a servant to one other than Allah. The great Sahaabi ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: My name was ‘Abd ‘Amr – or according to one report, ‘Abd al-Ka’bah – and when I became Muslim, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called me ‘Abd al-Rahmaan. (Narrated by al-Haakim, 3/306. Al-Dhahabi agreed with him). Also names of Allah that are specifically for Him are forbidden. Included in this are popular names of disbelievers from other religion or idol worship eg Peter, George, etc.
We asks Allah to increase us in understanding. Just like you said a father has the sole right to name his child , he can consult the wife but the name must have a good meaning |

I'm always saddened when I read stories like this . As a young man the moment my former fiancé's family began reading riot acts for me as a man as to what to do and not do with their daughter, I knew the relationship won't last any longer .
As a man the moment you know you don't have control on the woman you're marrying call it off without emotions and avoid stories like this one and don't allow "love" to cover your eyes , a lot of realities happened during marriage not when dating . |

Empiree: Well, i am not concerned about op's opinion of me. He's entitled to his opinion whatever he thinks i am. My concern is, can you provide evidence where i support them for cursing or abusing Albayt and sahaba?. I will like to see that please.
I also will like for you to provide evidence where Allah forbids friendship and support for your fellow muslims?. In the Quran, we see many verses talk about brotherhood. Āyat al-Ukhuwah) is the tenth verse of the Quranic chapter "Al-Hujurat". The verse is about brotherhood of believers with each other; which says: "the believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy (49:10).
Unless you can proof kufr of entire shia by ijma of the Ummah of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah(saw), we can review that. And dont forget to provide evidence where i fought sunnah. Please quote me. Thank you
