ZeroShenanigan:
I wish you are in my shoes to have a first hand experience of everything like I do.
You called off a relationship, bro it's not an upcoming wedding which date have been fixed. You discontinued a relationship without giving reason, We are talking about genotype here my brother.
I'm only worried deep inside me as well as my wife.
We are both nice persons, We treat each other well even when it seems there is No love between us again. I am only expecting more than what we are doing presently, that's why I'm bothered and feeling sad. If I'm thinking of divorce, definitely it's not yet time, we are still together for now to take care of the baby.
See my brother, there is no need to give a good reason when calling off a wedding or relationship. when a party feels uncomfortable with the relationship. No matter how good or bad your reason sounds, people would only blame you for breaking her heart, wasting her time and that's all. Life goes on and many would forget it happened. But right now, the deed has been done. You have to either carry on or divorce (which I'm not subscribing to because I won't want such to happen to my sister).
FamilyRe: Genotype: The Reason For My Unhappy Marriage. by Fundamentalist: 11:48pm On Jun 08, 2020
A man should be able to stand by his words. 3 years ago I rejected a lady i wanted to marry. I discovered if I went ahead with it, I won't be be happy at all. She wanted me badly but I knew I might enter one chance. I took only a day to make a decision that it had to be called off. please note that both families knew about the relationship and were looking forward to end of 2017 for the marriage. There was pressure from my family to continue but I stood by my decision. This continued for 6 months. With my total silence on the issue everyone just left me alone. Please let's know what we want when entering a marriage. No one would bare your cross when problems start. Since you have put a lady in a family way, you have to bare the cross. If she's my sister i wont let you off. Rather call off a wedding that people would attend and even forget when it happened than live a marriage full of sadness and regret. Please take of your pregnant wife. She's your responsibility. Despite my cancelled relationship everyone is looking towards my marriage till today.

Tribal bigot! How I wish Nairaland will flush you guys out because this is becoming too much here.
There is nothing more annoying than reading posts from most southerners here on nairaland. Most of them have never travelled out their enclave, have myopic mindsets, tribal jobbers, unemployed lazy Nigerians waiting for free money, spend most of their time looking for trouble and relay their frustrations on northerners. They commit incest , kill their own people and still blame the Fulani, their crimes are endless.

I dont have time for internet marauders like you.

Just say it's the culture of igbos, which one is southern Nigeria. Why mention lagos? when we know its south eastern Nigeria. That's how they will carry drugs, use their siblings for rituals , build baby factories and make out a living in the name of kidnapping.

We know if it's related to the north no detail would be left out including what doesn't exist.

PoliticsRe: The Brazen Act Of Marginalisation Of Christians In Kaduna State By Gov Elrufai by Fundamentalist: 2:02pm On May 12, 2020
Lere LGA majority Christians? that line made me laugh. Someone from south south giving analysis in a place he has never lived in his life. Lere has 11 wards, Christians have some population in (6) wards namely Garu (district head is a muslim), Abadawa (Muslim district head), Lazuru (50/50), Saminaka (LGA HQR with Muslim First class ruler), Sabon birni (muslim district head, Dan Alhaji ( Muslim district head) and Gure/Kahugu ward; With Gure been typical Christians and Kahugu (Muslim/Christian).

Then he mentioned Kauru LGA , this LGA has 3 chiefdoms Hausa/Fulani, Chawai and Kumana Chiefdoms. Hausa/fulani are predominantly muslims , same with Chawai while Kumana are either Christians or idol worshippers.

Two zones in Kaduna are predominantly muslims (a bitter pill to swallow for some) while the other zones are mostly Christians (80% ogogoro drinkers ). These guys that block major highways, select out muslims and kill them. This is the reason for under development in their areas. For those asking I have worked around such areas in Kaduna state. Major reason they don't enter southern kaduna is insecurity. In democracy majority carry the day , its not me that define it like that.

This alone brakes Nairaland rules on information.

We have considerable muslims population in plateau, taraba and yet they don't even produce a deputy governor.

Abeg El-rufai carry on

EducationRe: What Course Did You Study In The Tertiary Institution And What's your job now? by Fundamentalist: 11:10pm On Mar 21, 2020
I studied agriculture both at degree and masters level. Due to work stress I had to abandon my PhD due to work demand. Currently working with my certificates and experience of 6 years. I work as a field agriculturalist with many years on the field (profit based companies as well as NGOs).

My job from graduation has been on the field and Alhamdulillah.

For those agriculturists wanting to be like me , don't depend on your class of graduation (Crammers won't like this ) your field experience is far more important. Though I graduated with a strong 2nd class upper (2nd best student in my set).

Please potential agriculturists the current goldmine in Nigeria is agriculture, that is if you know what you are doing.

Yea it's understood the way you think about this Asian lady. But sadly enough they don't see it the way you understood it. Everyone wants a sense of belonging, its a huge psychological blow if you are not accepted within your own family.
IslamRe: The Pregnant Bride by Fundamentalist: 3:43pm On Jan 17, 2020
kazy1979:
I think the op created more confusion. To my best of knowledge, some people do Akidu Nikkah and later walimot Nikah while some did their own together. After Akidu Nikah, the woman can get pregnant and the child is legitimate then walimot Nikah can come later if u like. The op should have explain this in the writeup so readers will not get more confuse on issues like this.
Another observation I has is the op said marriage contract. This so called contract is between who and who? To me the contract is between a man and a woman and witness by the 2 parties families. So far the 2 families agree to allow the marriage then the marriage is already valid. Others are just secondary.
Oga, No confusion here. Being married in Islam means the following according to the sunnah
1. both parties are willing to come together.
2. the Lady/Woman, in particular, must have a guardian (A male, Muslim which maybe the Father, Uncle, brother, son, Islamic Leader). A woman cannot give her self in marriage.
3. Payment of bride price (it can be paid immediately or in the near future but the price must be agreed).
4. Witnesses (Not necessarily the family members but it is encouraged)
5. She must be clean (No pregnancy)
There is no scholar of Islam that can argue against these.

Its called a contract because any party can decide to pathways with his/her partner.
Please grow up.
Islam is not based on personal Opinion huh
IslamRe: The Pregnant Bride by Fundamentalist: 3:26pm On Jan 17, 2020
A very common occurrence in southwest Nigeria. I am from there ooo. Islamically, It's not a marriage but continous fornication. Such children can bear fathers name neither can he/she inherit him (A sad truth).
FamilyRe: Things Introverts Have Done To Avoid People by Fundamentalist: 12:11pm On Jan 11, 2020
Being an introvert can lead to misunderstanding about your personality. Just like the OP posted I don't like crowds. I hardly interact with strangers , family thinks am a proud person . I just love being alone a spouse with my ideology would be a perfect March.

PropertiesRe: Can I Be Forced To Sell My Inheritance? by Fundamentalist: 9:31am On Jan 08, 2020
For me.I would believe that this is a Muslim family. According to Islamic law, once a decease dies, properties he/she leaves behind should be shared to the legitimate inheritors. You and your siblings all have same claim to the property. Saying they don't know the place or other emotional issues doesn't come to life. You are all entitled to the property and its should be shared SIMPLE. Even it means selling the property. I'm quite happy that all of you are very civil in this case. No threats, harassment or intimidation.
