Car TalkRe: Lets Be Practical With Engine Oil Spec by Fundamentalist: 6:12pm On Oct 26, 2021
I have decamped to Mobile 1 10w 30 engine oil. It's what was recommended for my Nissan. I have been in peace. Though 22k is better than constantly visiting a mechanic workshop and I also change my oil myself. Please study your car and follow recommendations or else mechanic go show you pepper grin

E fit start to look like option now oh.
PES is miles away from FIFA any day , i.e of course before they migrated to efootball. The gameplay, physics, dynamics and realism of game football. For now is would stick to PES 2020 and 2021 or better still play god of war, final fantasy or Witcher . As for football I would go back to the old PES till they do something about this rubbish call efootball. I played FIFA in some game shops (nwith a mind set that I might buy the disc and take home ) and I felt disappointed , it was more like an arcade. Seriously PES and FIFA are miles apart.

EducationRe: Third Class Graduate With No Direction by Fundamentalist: 10:24am On Sep 30, 2021
Dizzyish:
Please I need advice, any advice.
I graduated with a 3rd class in Chemistry from three years ago (I only blame myself for that) and after I finished my NYSC a year ago I just plunged into a depressive state in regards to my mistake (my education) and my future (career) sometimes breaking down in tears when I think of things I've taken for granted in my life.

I started working on myself a few months ago and I've made some progress I proud of but every now and then it's easy to be overwhelmed with self doubt.
I made a cv without work experience along with a cover letter a few days ago and applied for a few entry level jobs like graduate intern, sales, restaurant supervisor etc via jobberman and the companies email but I'm not too sure I'll be getting any calls from them.
I didn't come here to get sympathy just an honest advice or opinion on what to do.

Can I do a pgd in chemical engineering or just chemistry or pursue a business or computer/tech course, are there jobs I can get with my degree maybe to get skills and work experience?
I deeply appreciate any advice. Thank you.
Your educational qualification doesn't determine your future, learn a skill. Infact it should serve as a motivation in life. In case you forgot Dino milaye graduated with a "questionable 3rd class " and he isn't depressed.

Revisionists
Everyone knew the ibo plan to subjugate other Nigerians and stood up against it..... your elites connived with your young soldiers to brutally murder leaders of other tribes while no single ibo leader was touched....Why wasnt any ibo leader murdered on 15 january 1966?.....until ibos accept this and apologise for this mistake , all revisionism will be countered with glaring facts
You might accept apology since they weren't your relative. We will never forgive them for it angry. The present condition we are in, is as a result of their handiwork, that's why they will never be granted "bia..fraud" and we will continue to see them as second class citizen. An Igbo always sees himself as better than everyone else, this ideology is passed down to them from parents to offspring.

What do you expect someone that drinks BURUKUTU from morning till night , marry as many wives as he likes , causes trouble and violence just to add more bouty to his collections and participate in magic. Envy will continue to follow you till your death. Muslims developed Jos town and Kaduna. You can't sleep because , if 100 elections where held in Jos town a Christian can never win grin. It's not a cause but reality. Since your leaders have failed , they kept you busy with "indigene" mentality to keep you busy.

it's not true, no matter how you present yourself, the school you attended can bring down your rate.

that's just the Nigeria mentality, why do you think people run to Europe to study, despite that some schools in Europe can't be compared with "university of Ibadan" there's one in Belgium that their citizens mocks, but the moment a Nigerian graduated with 3rd class from such low rated University and comes back to Nigeria, automatically he supercedes a first class student in UI.

if you said you graduated from unilag, in their minds they'll always rate you higher than someone that graduated from "Nigerian international Atlantic something something university"

that's just the fact, no matter how you present yourself

so i advise people to go for notable universities, e get why
And you'd be applying for jobs in the less notable ones sad after you graduate.

It depends on how you present yourself . I attended a state university by even PhD holders from so called federal university can't stand on the same podium with me . You need to know your onions and have self esteem. Don't ever think someone is better than you. A pharmacist students are been taught same curriculum nationwide

AgricultureRe: What Salary Is Ok For A Farm Manager? by Fundamentalist: 2:33pm On Sep 17, 2021
A farm manager is like an MD of a company in cooperate system. if he has experience of at least 5 years the minimum should be around 250k plus incentive with accommodation on the condition that he sleeps on the farm at least 2-3 times a week. This is a sensitive job, pay him below that and your investment won't stand for long. Issues like missing funds, animals , stock will come into play. You should employ someone with a high level of integrity and experience (look for reference if possible). Many farms don't last because staffs watch millions go out and they are paid peanuts. You should also learn to pay surprise or occasional visits to put staffs on their toes (especially at early hours or late night ).

Farm work is not easy.

HealthItching Skin After Bath by Fundamentalist(op): 4:33pm On Aug 18, 2021
Good day house ,
Please I need an advice on how to stop my skin from itching after bath. This started 11 years ago , i took a measure by stop using sponge it stopped for some time and it returned. I changed to hot water plus soap and it stopped again and remerge . I recently went to a dermatologist and he prescribed that I should bath with water regardless of its temperature and apply vaseline immediately , this worked tremendously for close to 2 Years now it's back again . I need your inputs .

Thanks in advance.

Foreign AffairsRe: Taliban Takeover : It Is Impossible To Defeat An Ideology. by Fundamentalist: 7:51am On Aug 16, 2021
Poor student of history , Taliban was a creation of the US government in the late 70s when the Soviet Union invaded the country and was pushing the ideology of communism. Taliban got it's name from the Arabic word "talib" meaning students. They were just students learning Islam in their local madaras and the us needed foot soldiers to fight the Soviets. They were given military training and weapons by the US government to defeat Soviet invasion prominent among the students was Osama bin Laden and others. Not only did they defeat the Soviets , they also set up a government which was toppled by the US in the name of fight against terrorism. Thei USSR spent alot during the war and their economy was in Shambles , it's a major reason for the fall of the Union. The Soviet spent 10 years in Afghanistan and were defeated just like Americans in 20 years. You train me to fight your enemy and I was your friend , now I'm fighting you and I have become a terrorist, which kind double standard be that. The USA spent 20 years and over 2 trillion dollars in Afghanistan provided so-called military training to over 300,000 personnel and "weapons" to the Afghan government and yet they couldn't defend its government within a month. The US was infact running the government and the Talibans refused to negotiate with the puppet the US placed and he never succeeded in getting a arrangement with the Talibans.

Even the Hillary Clinton made that famous statement when she was secretary of state " we created the Taliban " .

Please let's understand history before typing things online.

Imagine America putting 2 trillion dollars in their economy at least their average citizens would have access to affordable healthcare, accommodation, subsidize schooling and new infrastructures huh This was what what trump saw and decided to withdraw the children dying in a war they know nothing about in the process spending Americans tax payers money.
FamilyRe: How Do We Eradicate "cultism" In Nigeria? by Fundamentalist: 7:00am On Jul 30, 2021
sad Cultism is perhaps one of the greatest problems confronting our tertiary institutions today in Nigeria. In recent years, this plague has assumed a frightening and deadly dimension. its spread to secondary (and even primary) schools in the country is enough to give every caring parent a cause to lose sleep. cry

The term "cult" has been defined somewhere as "a group of people engaged in a form of ritual usually under oath, binding the members to a common cause". Such group of individuals operate covertly in furtherance of their objective which is usually detrimental to the interest of others.

Infact, a cult is a group of people which places a secondary need in the position of a primary need. In other words, any group of people that places emphasis on secret initiation or rituals for the purpose of group-help, group protection but whose activities are clandestine in nature is a cult.

One major problem is the lack of proper moral education by the parents which contributes largely to the quality of products turned over to the universities by primary and secondary schools. Universities are for men and women of quality. It is an institute for learning and character.

Who or how can we stop this cultism plaguehuh huh
Cultism is a problem for tertiary institutions in Southern Nigeria , please stop generalising huh. It's never tolerated in any university in northern Nigeria and it's never our problem up North. Just like Yahoo yahoo, ritualism, scam , drug peddling and unending dream of leaving abroad.
