Good morning my good people of nairaland. As I type these now, my wife is in FMC asaba she was admitted since yesterday. Her BP is 140/100 and the doctors carried a urine test on her, they saw protein in the urine. According to her, the doctor told her the protein is 1 percent. Now the doctor is talking about terminating the baby which we refuse. I dont base in Nigeria, because of this baby, I have to spend 5 months in Nigeria just to make sure everything is fine. Please guys is terminating the baby the only options for us. I need this baby so badly. Help me and my wife.

5months gone, Chai are they saying they can't manage her and probably put her on bed rest

someone I know also has high BP throughout her pregnancy but she was managed and she birth her baby

So yesterday,I went for the regular antenatal clinic and complained about having off and on contractions. So doctor said go and bring gloves let's check. My joy knew no bounds. I jejely go buy gloves come meet doctor and he checked and discovered I was already 4cm dilated. Na so them ship me go labour ward oh. I don spend 24hrs for labour ward already and oga no wan show. Contractions are not cooperating, I have already had 8 VE's done(not funny) membrane ruptured but na that contractions no wan cooperate. A doctor is saying baby's head is not decending cos he feels the head is big and am hearing something like face to pubis.

while I was doing my scan 2days ago sonographer jokingly ask if my husband is from Ibadan I told him no he said that's because my lo head is big and na Ibadan people dey get big head

Good evening mamas. Please I need your help. I did IVF last month and was confirmed positive two weeks ago (February after 5 years TTC. Using the pregnancy app, it showed I am 7 weeks pregnant today. I went for scan today and the comment was that no gestational sac seen in the uterus at the moment. The doctor who did the scan said I should do a beta HCG and the result showed 2432.09mlU/ml. He said with that high HCG, a sac should be visible already. He redid another scan to check for ectopic pregnancy and checked everywhere but nothing was seen. Though he asked I repeat the scan in two weeks time. Please has anyone experienced this before or know anyone and everything turned out great? I have been so worried since I got back

my baby moves on the side i tend to sleep....i mean in the night if i sleep on my left...baby kicks on my left and then i feel whether i am choking my baby so i tend to sleep on my right...so she starts kicking on the right....so i keep a pillow at the back and try to sleep half flat so that my baby does nt chok inside and can move freely....i have noticed most of the movements are in the night and early in the morning before I stand up from the bed.
First time moms dey try, everyday new thing to learn or notice

same thing my baby does before, once it's 9pm e go be like a timekeeper rang bell to his eyes he will start his own play and I notice even if I wake up to urinate at night oga is still playing around, I pray he will not be a night crawler when he lands sha

So gynea said the result doesn't mean anything, in my mind I was like are you kidding me, he later said 2 other people had that comment when they use the hospital scan so he wants to have a second opinion, he wrote a scan for me and ask me to go somewhere, it's a white man scan center and they have very good machines, did my anomally scan there too.

Whichever way, he said I will be booked because by 38 weeks my baby will be 3.5 or more and he wouldn't want me to risk pushing because of my pelvic. looking at next week for baby's arrival

u sure ur EDD is correct... Cs d week u gave didnt tale wit ur gestational weeks... U senior me wit 2days n i am 35weeks+6days... EDD date r exactly 40weeks, if u r 37weeks now ur EDD shld b march 15 n not 22..... N 4 d graded placenta u gaz discuss wit ur doc ... If u remember well, we discussed this placenta grading early dis month on dis forum.

Edd according to LMP was 19 but I had 2 Edd so I dropped the latter, I am currently 36+4 but the fetal age is 37 weeks probably because of his size. I will discuss with him tomorrow

Doesn't mean baby is small oo.. With the way my tommy is despite me saying I'm carrying large, my stomach is not big ooo.. Small bump doesn't necessarily mean small baby though there's an estimated weight baby ought to attain at each weekly milestone, body size sometimes matter and the elasticity of the womb (donno if my choice of word is correct). I know a family of grown up women where when they are pregnant, the tommy firsts shoots out and at 4 /5 months you will think they will soon deliver until you catch them carrying on in the next 4/5 months before delivery, that did not make the babies come out as multiple or even measuring 4kg(lol) and the tommy stays pointed no matter what they drink or tie

True my bump is not big like what I am seeing around so it’s surprising to see my baby weigh 3.14

They do in most Nigerian private hospitals …in mine they even have the blue hospital cloth for the husband and he can cut the cud as well…we were told this at antenatal class

How can husband be AA and wife is AS, and baby is SS? Paternity fraud looming...

Husband is AA, wife is AS. 3 months after they had their first child, they found out their daughter was SS.

At first, it appeared like a joke, a very bad one. Medically, that isn't or shouldn't be possible. They conducted the genotype test in four medical labs, and the result came out the same.

Husband and wife decided to have their genotype test again. Results were the same.

Then it became clear what was happening. Husband ain't the father of the baby. He secretly had a DNA test and it was confirmed he didn't father the baby.

Amidst the confusion, he asked his wife if he fathered the baby. Wife wouldn't confess. She insisted he fathered the baby. It's just obvious that whoever fathered the baby is AS which resulted in the baby's SS.

They went for a paternity test and it was glaring husband ain't the baby's dad. Wife still insisting she didn't get impregnated externally. She went ahead to do another DNA. Result was the same.

Wife became a shadow of herself. Husband got crazy. Their home became a "once upon a time."

Wife kept researching how possible it was that her husband didn't father her baby and the baby's genotype is SS.

Then she told a friend of the whole matter. Her friend just felt she's using female's antics. "Take responsibly," she was told. She kept swearing and swearing. Her friend told me of the whole drama.

I kept thinking about how this would be possible. Medically, it was impossible for AA to birth SS. Coupled with the DNA results, it was glaring. But wife claiming innocence and swearing on her life was a whole different thing.

I thought of what could have been. Then I arrived at a conclusion: if wife is innocent, then she's not the mother of the child. I immediately called my friend that I've found a possible solution. MNA (maternity test) to the rescue.

They went for an MNA, and test revealed she's not the mother of the baby. Babies were changed at birth. Long story cut short, they involved the police and investigations were carried out. Multiple tests done "ear and dear." They got their own baby back - AS. They returned the supposed baby. Hospital was sued for the negligence and trauma.

Wife was so displeased her husband didn't trust her. They settled and made up. They just had their second baby - a boy. Husband stayed with wife in labor room and monitored everything. Once bitten, twice shy.

At times, so called paternity fraud is change of babies at the hospital.

Seriously I also want my husband to be there to see my baby life and direct and follow them to bathe him. I remember watching Toyin Abraham birth video, immediately they open her and bring the baby out the next thing she told her husband was tele omo mi(meaning follow my child) so the husband was there in the theater and followed the nurses to where they bathe him while they were stitching her up.

A turtle neck gown is always beautiful, if you wear trousers and you still see the one that sizes you
A black/white turtle neck and black/white jean is perfect too.

Then the second picture is just a net that can be recreated if you don’t want either blue or pink you can choose the cool colour just like that lady, created that one exact for 9k(material and sewing) so I prefer it than renting robe for 10-15k
You can always use the net to re- create something short and simple after birth so it won’t waste.

Remember to use a good studio and good makeup artist that will contour that big nose

is normal, u don't have anything to worry about ok, don't put the legs on the floor or the time, try as much as possible to suspend them.

And most importantly drink enough water, this will help u.

Sorry mama. Nothing to worry about, since there is no protein in your urine and your bp is fine. My own pcv was 30% as at when I gave birth. I opted for induction because I was tired already, I dey waka like penguin . The swelling moved to my waist as well.

Is there anything to be worried about, the swelling gets worse daily

Mamas….I’ve been considering buying bottle sterilizer but I feel it’s a waste of money…I don’t want to buy things that are not necessary in this buhari era…abeg is the old way of boiling bottles to sterilize no longer done..:I’m asking cuz mum in law told me hope you’ve gotten sterilizers and I was like…if mumcy no consider boiling bottles why should I…either ways if it’s still doable I’m up for it….

You can buy a sterilizer, it won’t be useless as long as your baby takes feeder

I will count the pampers out from the big one I bought, I no kuku buy shawl for hospital aside the white for naming, I am using receiving flannel and I will remove 2 out of the pack and leave the rest at home

Pele teamie, have you complained to your Dr? i actually don't experience terrible back ache like that what i experience is just jajaina ache, heaviness and hooking when i sit for long, maybe you should try getting pregnancy/bump support belt to help relieve the ache/ pain, and give your back support also, nndo we are almost at the finish line.

Are you taking any calcium supplements? i don't know why i believe so much in this calcium supplements (Osteocare) but it has helped me alot, when i feel aches and even muscle pull i use it and i feel better, also try and use your prenatal supplements religiously if you aren't

I complained to gynea and he said it's my owm package, I will try to add calcium
o am on pregnacare and I use it daily
