Congratulations, there is a thread. Living in Canada as an immigrant Zeemaan: I finally got FD on 24th April and PPR on 27th. Submitted passport on 28th Collected my stamped passport and ppr from vfs on 30th April.
No adr or pfl and I was very anxious. You can check out some of the questions I was asking on this thread. Some good people responded both here and on my dm. Some scammers also rushed to my dm to try some tricks but I clocked them immediately. My appreciation to whomever opened this thread and gave very detailed information, those who have been answering questions too and those who have been keeping things going here.
Please is there any thread about life in Canada for a new PR? |

Hiploko: I must commend the NIS for professionalism displayed at the passpot office. Capturing for DIY clients goes very well. Like the whole place was very organized, with very active officers managing the entire process proactively. It didnt feel like the usual Nigerian thing
Got to the office around 8:40, submitted my form, got a number and was attended to (though i had little issues of PNF-Payment Not Found and appointment- I booked for 20th but it was a holiday so they needed to fix me in)
All those that came with left around 10 am, fully attended to but i left at 12:45 due to the issues.
Kudos to the NIS Hello, may I know the office and the state please |

Does this mean that the person git an ITA and now gets rejected? Ontarioo: It's important that your contribution here on this thread should be based on experience, hence you're going to mislead a lot of people that relied solely on the information provided on this thread for their visa application. It's okay to use AI/Google, but make sure it's right and tested.
Attached below is a screenshot of a rejection letter of someone that used the same information that you provided here. (Though not from you) |

Thank you amnotapervert: Don’t bother with the 6-week Early Childhood Care certificate if your goal is WES evaluation for immigration/education equivalency — it won’t count.
Instead, if you want to strengthen your profile for teaching and immigration, the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is the better option |

Hello guys, I was browsing through lead city university portal and found a short course in Early childhood care education which is for six weeks. I had already evaluated my OND and HND as two or more certificates, do you think this six weeks course can be evaluated by Wes or I should just focus on PGDE (I am asking for the education category because I have gone back to teaching)
Thanks in anticipation |

Pearlbola06: If your Job duties doesn't fall into any category and no PNP or French. You could get work experience in any of the CBD eg Health. Atleast, Six month full time work experience is needed or one year part-time. It could also be your secondary Noc. Also, If ur crs is below 400 boost it by either maxing ielts or any other thing that could be done. Be Ready! You are right, but how can one do this education background thing, I have an HND and teaching experience but the NOC says that one must have educational background related to teaching. What can you advise? |

aworhmabel: Hi Dear,
Not trying to discourage you but I'm not sure you will get any nomination with the sales manager role/administrative assistant if u do not
1. Have a sibling residing in a province that does sibling nomination (eg if u av a sibling that has lived in manitoba for over a yr). He or she can nominate you, which gives u an extra 600 points.
2. You might even qualify for the general draw if age is on ur side, ie. If u are under under 30, and have a sibling as a permanent residency holder and also have masters and french with perfect IELTS score. Then ur NOC shouldn't be an issue (i.e sales manger or administrative assistant will be ok)
If both options don't fit ur profile, you might consider going through the trending category draw that canada launched last year (I'm referring to Stem, Agriculture, Transportation, French and Health Care. Try and see if either of the five is workable for you. Thank you My spouse siblings are citizens in Canada, we have about 470 crs score. We don’t have anyone in Manitoba. I don’t understand what you mean by the trending category as we don’t qualify for them. French 😭, I don’t know if I can ace it |

AUNTYLLAI: Good day my fellow mummy's in the house, I was here 12months ago.sorry I know this is not the right place to ask,but it is the only active platform of mummys here and I know I will get answers here.i have a 2and 6months old boy,he is active everything about him is ok,but the problem is he Can't talk properly, the only words he can say is mama, sometimes baba, sometimes say a b c that is all,I took him to see a pediatric doctor last week, she examined him and ask some questions and at the end she says everything is ok,but she gave us a medication for him to take to boost is brain and booked an appointment for us with a neurologist which will be next year match which I think is to far.please my fellow mothers you think there is a problem or is there anything we can do to help him, because the day of the appointment is to far,3months to come.thank you I would say talk talk talk, continue to talk to him, say words and ask him to repeat after you, if he’s using tablet, reduce the time he’s using it and talk to him more |

MayorOfEdmonton: You can actually have two invitation letters from both brothers. There’s a question when applying ‘has someone else invited you’ click yes. One can state he will be the major sponsor while the other co-sponsor. In my opinion, having two siblings that are citizen invite him gives him higher chance of approval. Thank you so much for your input |

Ashirioluwa: Yes, an invitation letter from one of them.
The 4 million should be okay since he has someone who is going to provide him with accommodation and food for his entire stay. Thank you so much |
Travel › Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Funky123(f): 8:22am On Dec 02, 2023 |
Ashirioluwa: He can get an invitation letter from any of his siblings if he likes, but his visitor visa application will be submitted here because he is currently here in Nigeria.
Or his sister can contribute by sending him an invitation letter. Let her state in the application that she will provide food and accommodation for his entire stay or any other help she is willing to render. She can backup this with her bank account or payslips.
He can use the joint account, but it will be good if you can write a support letter for him. Any lump sum in the account should be explained. Thank you, should we get invitation from his brothers and Aunty or just one person Also, is 4m enough since they will add their own payslip as his sponsor in Canada or we should take it to 6m Thanks |

Hi Guys, it’s been a long read.
We have been on this relocation journey (Canada PR) for quite a while, but recently we thought of giving visit visa a shot and I have been here reading. Please I need insights that can help us.
My hubby siblings are in Canada and are citizens now, they are both working His Aunt is also a citizen and working( he did his siblings sponsorship years ago)
We plan to submit in January, he’ll be going alone for now while me and my child stay here till he can bring us. These are my questions;
1. Should we submit the application from Nigeria and get an invitation letter from his siblings 2. Should his siblings submit the application( do we have better chances with this) 3. Is there anyway his aunt can contribute to it
We plan to use our joint account which have 4.2m balance now, I work remotely and I earn 7figures, will it be okay if we too it to 6m (I’m asking because of 6 months validity) or can I write a supporting letter as a co-sponsor
Lastly if the money in the account is less than 6 month, how can we explain the bulk money since it’s mostly coming from my own personal account.
Please I need all the help I can get so he can get this Visa, thanks in anticipation |
