@JACKAL The one problem I have with this Jackal guy is your persistent and effusive hatred of everything Nigeria and Nigerian. If God has blessed you be grateful and stop looking down on others and speaking so proudly. First you call us Lazy and now you talk about all the bad things in Nigeria and conclude that UK is miles ahead of Nigeria. I do not disagree with you on UK being more prosperous but I am wondering why you have chosen to be more British than the Britons. You only came here some years ago and then got Residency or Citizenship. You are NOT a TRUE BRITON and you will never be TRUE BRITON. You will always be a black Nigerian, no matter how much you will like to think otherwise. Stop branding everything Nigerian has weaker or inferior to Britain. There are hardworking Nigerians in the UK. Lots of them. Nigeria is not the worst country. Nigeria is better than UK in so many other things. Let those who want to come to the UK come but don't make it sound like it is all about the money, irrespective of how it earned. Finally, STOP INSULTING NIGERIANS. If you no longer want to be a Nigerian, it is your call but don't make those of us who are proud of our heritage feel like we are inferior. We are not. We simply choose to love ourselves and stick to our beliefs and not the white man's beleifs that you have come to imbibe so much. Remember, no matter how much you defend this country, it will never be yours. It belongs to the Britons. The only country that is truly yours is Nigeria. NOTE: This response is just to caution JACKAL to stop making Nigerians seem inferior and lazy.It is not a response to the topic under discussion. |
@murkina2 "you forgot about burp and sex what is wrong with a girl talking about sex ? if a girl is not comfortable talking sex with me then she is either just stuck up, pretending to be the saint she probably isn't or she is just the conventional, sexually unadventurous type.Motherly ,matronly type. The type I don't want to have anything intimate with. 1] Changing Tampax - I don't want to see how it is done. I don't want to know how it is done. I don't care about how it is done. It is not my business.Just be hygienic. 2]Shaving - That's cool. I will like to see how you do it but it is not compulsory since it is not a turn on for me and I really don't care about it. Just be smooth, even if you are going to pour corrosive acid on your body 3]Farting- This is bad not only when you are around your man but when you are around people generally. It is an inappropriate and unsociable behaviour. It is like farting during a business meeting or when in a classroom. It polutes the air around others. I guess none of us urinate or defacate in public even though it is natural and everybody does it. You always go somewhere private. That's why toilets have doors and small windows. So please, if you feel like farting, excuse yourself and go somewhere private unless it happens when you are sleeeping. That one you can't help it. ![]() 4]Burp- I have absolutely no problem with that. It does not irritate or turn me off. |
@praetor please if you have msn or yahoo messenger can we get to talk online. I am trying to make a move to the US and want to hear from somebody who has been in the UK and now works in the US. The email on my profile will link you to my IM Thanks |
@Jackal, come you this Jackal what is your problem You have been slamming Nigerians all over the place like we are a bunch of lazy morons. Are you really a Nigerian ? The fact that you have a Systems Engineer job in the UK does not give you the authority to sit on your high horse and talk down on others. Some of us here are also professionals and we know what obtains in the job market as well. I have a pretty good idea what the multinationals pay fresh graduate in various disciplines.Apart from the banks most grads earn between £17 and £25k per annum, before tax. It goes to £30 for some of the bigger oil firms and banks, rising to £35 for the top class investment bank and financial institutions. Very few graduates without experience earn above £40K before tax. When you take off an average of 22-30% tax the initial net earning of most grads is in the region of £20-£25K per annum. I am not discouraging anyone from coming to the UK but it is not a bed of roses, let the truth be told. You have to work so hard here and it is not a very entrepreneurial community.Too much dependence on Government and salaries. You have been singing concerning IT. I happen to have an IT background as well and I know that some of the major IT firms like Cable and Wireless are either laying off staff or planning to lay off staff. If it is so juicy why the lay off ? I agree that a number of people earn the salaries you have been touting but stop lambasting those who are not earning such money as lazy. Moreover you called them contract jobs. What happens when the contract ends and you don't get another ? Just before you think I am a loser who is trying to defend his penury,no. I am a well paid professional who does not do menial jobs in Tesco. |
In simple language, I think old age is either catching up with the man or he is just plain sucking up to his Brother-in-law I respect my elders so I won't say more than that. I guess if oil was flowing from the North of Africa, Mali, Niger and Kano state in Nigeria will have loadz of oil tunnels underground. Interesting and wistful thing ! |
somebody asked what HSMP was ? HSMP = Highly Skilled Migrant Program. It is a visa given to professionals from other countries to work in the UK. Sort of Work and Residency permit for a fixed period of time after which it has to be renewed for you to continue to live and work in the UK. Strictly for professional people To the original poster of this thread, my piece of advice is for you to come back to the UK and get a job here, even if it is working in Tesco. That is better than being jobless in Nigeria. You can continue to seek for the professional job you desire. Thank God for information technology, you can keep in touch with prospective employers in Nigeria and the UK while holding down what ever legitimate job you are able to secure here. |
When you say three girls have turned you down what do you mean ? Was it that they rejected your overtures or they were unfaithful or they broke the relationship ? Which ever one it was I will advice you look inwards into yourself to see what you are not doing right. Three girls have turned you down by time your are 24 Are you too demanding ? Are you too effeminate ? Heterosexual women do not want a man who is more like a woman in emotion, action and attitude Are you too possessive ? Are too insenstive or too sensitive ? Are you too gentle and too nice ? Doing all they ask you to do and never being in control of the relationship. Most women like men who are in control. Are you a lousy lover ? Have you got some terrible body odour ? There countless questions to consider but the base line is to find out what you are not doing right. Maybe you should ask your last girl friend why she is turning you down and let her sincerely tell you so that you can stay making corrections |
@alarinjo, I like your argument. It makes alot of sense. Lets just hope those in authourity play the game well for the rest of us |
alarinjo:who will bell the cat ke ! Gimme a gun a gas chamber and see what happens to criminals. ![]() I am not a Nazi or Hitler fan but these criminals are wicked,no be small ! Nigeria is a well known and very popular movie so I won't go in that or else the story won't end by tomorrow morning. The other day I saw Idris Deby of extra poor and suffering Chad Republic riding in a huge Hummer Jeep. Kai ! You need to take a look at that arid and dry land called Chad and Mr President has such a ride, probably bullet proof. Let's not derail from the topic. More coments. But my take is that we should not gloat over the presence of the Chinese in Africa. They may not interfere with our politics but that may be to our undoing. African Leaders are naturally evil and wicked and it has taken the insistence of Europeans and Americans for them to exercise some restraints in their wicked actions. The Chinese don't care because they are even accussed of human right abuses and of course, there is no demoncracy in China. The Chinese will do business in Africa and not care if a man is being killed in their back yard. I don't think that is the best way to do business. In these days of Health,Safety and Environment in the work place the Chinise no send you. All they care is you do your work and they do not necessarily pay high wages because wages in China are quite low. That's what enables them to produce good cheaply. So beware of the arrival of the Sino investor from the Far East |
Hey ! why we are still tearing our shirts and lining up our punches over Chinese versus Euro-American businessmen in Africa what is wrong with Africans invading Asia,Europe and America to strike mega deals ? Almost in all our existence as a race we have depended on others to help us out of our quagmire and each time they have always reaped us off. Where are others getting their wealth to invest in our land ? Can't we also generate our own wealth with our vast human and natural resources ? I don't want Americans I don't want Europeans ![]() I don't want Chinese or Asians ![]() I want Africans to rise up for themselves and become independent so that they can also go and conquer other nations economically ![]() But that will only be possible if we first of all gather all these criminals called African Leaders together, shoot them and then begin to re-orient ourselves as a people that we can do it, with or without help.Preferrably without help. |
My sixth sense on this Okonjo's reshuffling is that maybe she is the one Obj wants to groom for President or Vice, most likely Vice. For those who don't know, she was surprised at the reshuffling. Obj only informed her a few minutes before the public announcement and she was shocked. I personally think she may be the one Obasanjo can trust to continue the reforms he blieves so much in. So why not position her to become President or start with Vice President and then President. With South East and South South asking for a shot at the presidency, OBJ may want to pick his man for Presidency from the SS and insist on Ngozi from the SE (actually SS because she is from Delta State but married to an Abia or is it Imo state man) becomes Vice President and Head of the Economic Team. In this way in the next dispension she can move up to President ,after having run the Economic Team as Vice President. Just my postulations but I would love to see somebody like Ngozi and Dora Akinyuli holding high influencial positions in Nigeria. They have guts and what it takes to make a difference. On the other hand, Obj may just be on a vendetta mission. Maybe Ngozi did not support his Third term, maybe the whisperings for her to go for President is uncomfortable to him, maybe there has been some corruption, maybe the performance is lower than paid for (she earns about $20000 a month or there abouts) or maybe Baba Obj is just plain confused ![]() Lets watch and see how things unfold. Nigeria is fun. Wonderful movie, action-packed thriller, comedy, soap opera and sitcom all roll into one. You can't ask for more from a country ![]() |
Constantin:I hope you realise I live in the UK as well. So travelling and meeting other nationalities is not the issue with me. The issue is what good will McDonalds do to us as Nigerians. I guess I do not consider myself a Briton or a Westerner. I am first and foremost a Nigerian and take into consideration what is good for us as a people.Maybe you are different I only took you on because you ridiculed us a people with your insinuations that because we don't have MCD in Nigeria we are backwards, underdeveloped and all such thrash. I took you on because you think we must have MCD to prove to the world that we are modern and we are like them and I ask, why must we be like the West and must it be through McDonalds that we prove we are cosmopolitan ? McDonald food that is known to cause obesity so much so, that the UK government is thinking of banning those junk food from schools. |
Constantin:Constantain how old are you ? A little boy ? You seem to predicate your argument of bringing in MCD more on how we look to the world rather than on the practical usefulness and business of a MCD franchise in Nigeria. The world does not care a damm about you, stop trying to impress them by being like them and rather concentrate on what will be useful to you as an individual and as a Nation. MCD is useless to us. it is as if you refuse to have Coca Cola or you have money and would prefer driving a car from TATA instead of a flashy BMW or sporty Porsche or Ferrari. It is as if you prefer living in your flimsy hut in the deep forest instead of moving to your fancy villa with swimming pool, Yacuzzi, tennis court and cool Plasma TV from Bang and Olufsen.Accept this fact, we are Nigerians and we love our food. We loathe the Western food which gives nothing more than obesity and hypertension, compared to the wonderful ,energy giving, fresh and healthy meals in Nigeria. Americans and Britons are suffering from obesity. That is still a strange disease in Nigeria. You want to introduce it through McDonald. I will rather drive TATA and stay alive than cruise BMW at top speed and be dead in a jiffy. By the way ,what makes you think Western food is better than Nigerian food. Don't tell me you feel so inferior before the white and you think your Nigerian heritage is inferior to the American heritage. Mc Do is a global brand and everybody loves it.Not true- I don't love McDonalds Moreover, if Nigerians don´t like MC Do , why do a lot of our countrymen joyfully spare their time at the various fast food joints in the UKWrong once more- I don't joyfully spend my time at fast food joints and lots of Nigerians don't spend time there either. In my office ,I and a fellow Nigerian practically don't bother with real launch- just snacks- because we are fed up with all the junk stuff they sell in fast food joints, including MCD. We wait till we get home to eat a proper meal. Either you have Mc Do or you are out in this world!I asked you before, how old are you ? Are you a child trying to imitate others ? Where you born in Nigerian or America and are you trying to behave like a slave looking up to his master for approval ?Be yourself.Stop trying to be like others.Let others imitate you instead. Nigeria still lives in the 50´s in terms of retail sector and so on.When was the last time you were in Nigeria ? Moreover, who says that if we have MC Do or other fast food joints that nobody would continue to eat Nigerian food? Local food and Nigerian food have to exist side by side, , if we don´t want to have foreign things we could throw our Levi´s jeans into the dustbin and throw a bomb into Shoprite and burn down the palms forget about Tinapa project because all this is not Nigerian.I am sure you have never been to Nigeria. You seem to be suffused with an inferiority and "wannabe" mentality. ( no offence meant) but pleasse deal with it.We are Nigerians and we are happy with it.Stop trying to convince us to ditch our heritage for the American's.Their lifestyle is not better than ours. Go spend sometime in Nigeria and stop trying to force Americanism on us from the US. |
Double dating is okay just make sure you have dug your grave and written your will |
If your boyfriend controls you anyhow knock his head with a mortar pestle and give him a big smack on his bum to bring him to his senses. Please just make sure I am not the guy in question because I throw very fast punches Okay, on a more serious note, if your boyfriend controls you anyhow get out of the relationship before he messes up your life for you. |
2fine4u you are welcome. See I am not as "jerkish" as you thought even though I have this thing about IBO girls and Ego ![]() |
Try Allen Avenue at Night in Lagos ![]() |
If you are not wrong NEVER , EVER PLEAD WITH A GIRL. IF SHE TURNS HER BACK ON YOU MOVE ON or else you will lose relevance a charisma before her ![]() |
Nosa ! Nosa !! Nosa !!! how many times did I call you ![]() See you wan carry fire for belle come dey ask us if he go burn you . Shey na love dey catch you By now you should know this girl is seriously in love with your cash, as for you as a person , you can drown inside the Atlantic ocean for all she cares, it is your money she cares for, not you. I have pieces of advice for you: 1] Fall in love with, date her ,love her and lose the shirt on your back , because she is certainly going to fleece you dry of your cash 2] Come borrow my strong legs add to yours and run from her as if all the demons in hell are after you. That girl is bad market |
Seun, you used the internet in defending yourself but there is no correlation there. Are you implying that the interent is now being used for conducting marriages ?.Most marriage still take place outside the internet. Fact of the matter, prenups are simply an invitation to take marriages unseriously. I think anybody who wants a prenup should just settle for a living-in-lover.You don't need no marriage.Just bring the girl home, shag her till both of your are fed up of the shagging and you both go your separate ways. If you want kids, adopt some.Forget about marriage because you ain't ready for it if you are looking for some prenuptial agreement before getting married. |
Mr Seun I have some questions for you. Where were the prenups in the decades past when grannies of today still with their fisrt marriages got married ? Why has prenups become important today ? We have always had rich men and rich women getting married in the past with no prenups. Why was it not necessary then ? Can't you see that the problem goes beyond just taking a "marriage insurance",according to you.An insurance I am sure our parents never needed and yet they brought us up well,if we agree that are we are well brought up. Hey friend, throw the prenonsense out of the window and lets instead work towards having lasting marriages without the need to set the rules of separtion even before being joined together |
