Why do I have a strong feeling that this is another wonderful "make-up" story  huh

Could it be that 4real and rubby are one and the same person out on a Jerry Springer show ?

Anyway,just my random thoughts.

TESS75 please did you once live in Lagos and did you live Nigeria sometime in 1996 after spending a few years at Unilag ?

This is a private question which I should have asked in private but High Chief Seun of Nairaland has removed the few joys of PMs. I hope he is not on his way to changing Nairaland Constitution for his own good, like his uncle,Obj . grin

Okay folks I hate being angry and those who know me know that I am rarely angry  but this one is really offending me now.  angry

I live in a post graduate school apartment with five other men,  Masters'  and Phd  students. Some like me,are already working class professionals who simply took time off work to get a  post graduate qualification. We have individaual rooms ensuite but share the kitchen.

Some of these guys are terrible in the kitchen. Two of them in particular,a Nigerian and a Spanish, are the culprits. They cook, eat and live their dirty kitchen utensils all over the place. They drink and live the empty bottles around. I love a clean and ordely environment so I am always washing and cleaning after them, even though I am not the cleaner. The school's cleaner comes in once a week.We are supposed to collectively keep the kitchen clean during the remaining days of the week but these two fellows will always mess things up for the rest of us.They never bother to help empty the bin when it is full.
Now I am getting to feel really bad about their attitude.

How do I deal with this issue ? How do I make them understand that there is no slave in the flat to do the cleaning ?

Somebody  help me  before I lose my cool with these guys !!!
PoliticsRe: Ten Reasons Why Third Term Is Necessary by funloving(op): 2:58pm On Mar 14, 2006
One of the biggest probelms we have in Nigeria is myopia and parochialism. We view life from a strait jacket perspective.
Why on earth do people belive we need one man to restore Nigeria ? No ! we don't need one man .We need a system. An effective, institutionalised system that is above EVERY MAN and will OUTLIVE EVERY MAN.
If this great Obasanjo dies today will Nigeria perish ?

People should be clamouring for Institutions to be established and not for a Throne to be established.

Twinstaiye, you are the kind of fellow I will like to argue intelligently with my mouth.I think and talk faster than I type so I can't say all I will like to say through typing
PoliticsRe: Ten Reasons Why Third Term Is Necessary by funloving(op): 2:49pm On Mar 14, 2006
@twinstaiye

10]In fact,we just need a man who can mess things up for all of us since we are sub humans who do not deserve a better life and who else can achieve all the lofty goals but the great Obasanjo.  WELL SAID, YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD
I was going to respond to some of your responses until I saw the last one and then I knew you are with me. No need for further reponse. !
PoliticsTen Reasons Why Third Term Is Necessary by funloving(op): 4:36am On Mar 14, 2006
Ten reasons why we need third term for Obj and the Action Governors

1]So that EFCC can continue to witch hunt those who oppose Obj and ICPC will remain powerless
2]To make sure generator importers continue in business since PHCN(Please Have Handles Nearby) won't work
3]Air crashes can continue and nobody (maybe except a hapless grass cutting labourer)will be found guilty of dysfunctional airports and aircrafts
4]IGP and other top security brass will continue to steal 17 billion naira and spend six months, sorry one and half month,in jail because the remaining  four and half months would have been spent in cosy, comfortable detention
4]So that top poiliticians and government functionaries, like Bola Ige,Marshall Harry,Dikibo, can be assasinated and thier assasins never found. In fact key suspects will be voted to top political positions while awaiting trial from jail.
5]Banking reforms may continue and see to it that more bankers lose their jobs.We just have to inflate the jobless market.
5]We definitely need more militias. How else can the guns used for rigging elections be put to use in non election times.
6]Governors need to siphon more money abroad to build refineries there. We need more governeors like Alams who can easily wear a 2.5million dollar wrist watch
7]We need more armed robbers sorry, policemen,to collect twenty naira are toll gates, what is wrong with me, I meant to say, police check points.Anyway,IGPs need to have a few billions of their own
8]More potholes are absolutely necessary. How else can we slow down our journeys and allow the real armed robbers rob of us of our hard earned cash.
9]Did I forget to say we need godfathers who can remove governeors according to their whims and caprices, Oyo and Anambra states must be replicated all over the nation
10]In fact,we just need a man who can mess things up for all of us since we are sub humans who do not deserve a better life and who else can achieve all the lofty goals but the great Obasanjo.

Carry go King,Life President,High Chief Obasanjo but remember the likes of Gen Sani Abacha of Nigeria and Mobutu Sese Seko of former Zaire. They may well be waiting with open arms to receive you if you are not careful.

PS: Maybe supporters of the third term agenda can think of some more reasons why we need Obj to continue

A picture will convince me.
I would have gladly done that but I am afraid of copy right infringement.Posting other people's picture in public forums without their permission may not be the best.

All the same let me point you to www.myspace.com (check female profiles in the Ethiopian section) or better still go here

I have been taking a look at some Ethiopians girls online. Those babes are bombs. They are simply explosives.
Now I think I may have to narrow my search for a wife in the Ethiopian direction  grin

Did somebody say something about Nigerian girls being the most beautiful in the world ? Please don't put them beside Ethiopians because the Nigerian babes will be eclipsed.
RomanceRe: Nigerian Babes: Most Beautiful In The World! by funloving(m): 3:52pm On Mar 09, 2006
I agree that Nigerian girls are pretty but my problem with alot of them is their materialism and  tendency to be proud, superior or high and mighty once they have achieved some measure of success. I have no probelm with people being successful but it should not take away our humility.

CrimeRe: Christians Killing Muslims In Onitsha by funloving(m): 3:09am On Mar 02, 2006
I don't support any form of killing unless it is judicial(I certainly would support the execution of an unrepentant rapist of drug dealer)
But I have a bone to contend with Seun.
Mr Admin, why don't you face reality for once.Advocating peace in an environment where there is no room for peace is unrealistic.Saying we should live together in peace without making constructive attempts to solve the underlying problems tending to conflicts is simply to ask the lion to be friends with the goat.It is never going to work.
Nigeria's problems are deep rooted and unless we take tangible steps to solve them it is never going to be okay in the country,no amount of burying our heads in the sands will help.
The truth is,the muslims or northerners should stop killing igbos/christians everytime they have a grudge. If they contnue to kill then you can't blame the retaliation of the Christians or southernsers.
RomanceRe: Confusion About Mr Right by funloving(m): 1:43am On Mar 02, 2006
My advise to you friend is that she should isolate money and location out of these two relationships.
Assume both men are of equal financial strength and are at the same location with equal prospects then ask herself,"who do I really want to spend the rest of my life with ?","Who do I want to have as the father of my kids" Who do I want to grow old with".

The sincere answers she gives to these questions should guide her choice. She must remember, times and situation change.Marrying because a man is rich now or is based in a particular location today is not a guarantee of a blissful future tomorrow.

Above all ,let her pray to God for guidiance on the right decision.

RomanceRe: Boyfriend Behaving Funny After Girlfriend Kissed An Ex by funloving(m): 12:06am On Feb 15, 2006
I personally think your friend still likes(maybe loves) her Ex.
As for the new boy, I am not sure he is really interested in this relationship.Mature guys genuinely interested in a relationship do not go raving and raking just because their girl friend kissed a guy and told him about it.Is he extremely possessive ?
My advice:let your friend give this new boy friend sometime and space and see how things work out.I am almost sure the relationship might not stand the test of time.If it has already started like this.
If she is still interested in the Ex and is the Ex boy friend  still interested in her, then I would rather suggest they get back together.
Anyway my attitude to relationship is,if you are not interested in marrying a person don't bother dating them, full stop !!

kai !! where is that my bulala ?
Baby girl you should be reading your books, going for sports and girl's guide activities instead of talking about my "boy friend".
Walahi ! this world don spoil finish.  angry

Okay,on a nicer note, please forget about any intimate relationship at this age.You are too young for that.It may bring you problems you can't handle. There will be time for all that later.
Dating is for adults. In fact some adults are becoming NERDS because they are tired of all the "wahala" associated with some relationships  grin
RomanceRe: How To Tell My Friend That I Love Her? by funloving(m): 12:28am On Feb 11, 2006
Go out with on a casual date.Nothing special, just a casual outting with a friend but make sure it is just the two of you.
Get into a normal conversation over a bottle of soft drink (I don't subscribe to alcohol) and after discussing general issues look into her eyes, don't be shifty or shy.
Look into her eyes, call her name softly and tell her "I have been meaning to tell you this for a while now,I really like you and would want to be more than a friend" or something like that.
Watch her reaction, while still holding her eyes.If she likes you that much she will respond positively and the rest is game.If she doesn't want to be more than a friend with you,she will also tell you and if both of you are friends like you have said,it won't truncate your friendship.Just make sure you don't bring the topic up again.Women don't like guys who act all so needy and pester them for a relationship they don't want.
If her response during the date is not positive, don't feel bad.Smile, tell her it's okay, you understand her point of view, tell her both of you will still be friends, enjoy the rest of your drink, make general conversation,no more reference to the "toasting" that failed and then take her home(her home please  grin) and move on with your life. Both of you can still remain friends.
Wish you all the best.

@spikedcylinder
Anyone who sees her for the first time would instantly think of sex!
@Ynot
Definitely doesn't look like she's worried about her image in this pic:  /aunsc
Is there something wrong with me ,how come I don't instantly think of sex on seeing this Cossy babe  huh  huh

Okay,I know what is wrong. Iyabo,Ifeoma and Aisha are probably blinding my eyes with bigger double DD's  grin

On a more serious note, Cossy doesn't look sexy to me,looks more like a boobs lady.

But if she is now changed, beautiful.I really hope she will stick to a better life and over time the negative image will be forgotten

RomanceRe: Truths About Women by funloving(m): 1:36pm On Feb 08, 2006
Why did you insult women all the way and in the last paragraph now tried to say something nice about them ?
I disagree with most of the things you have said about women and saying them like they are facts is not good enough.
Lets stop seeing women as bad, materialistic, sexual play thing, whatever. It is demeaning. I have sisters,a mother and female friends.Don't wish to regard them in the light you have painted.
When we keep saying this like this we continue to create distrust in our relationships. No wonder the girls are saying Nigerian men are not romantic.
Lets take women as your fellow human beings on earth and treat them with decency.
Any woman you treat well will respond well to you.
RomanceRe: Does True Love Exist Among Nigerian Lovers by funloving(m): 1:21pm On Feb 08, 2006
This topic gives me a strong feeling that Nigerians do not even believe in love and romance and that we are incapable of true love.
I have been following a number of threads on this site and the impression I get is that Nigerians are poor lovers and clueless when it comes to romance.
I am kind of scared and sad because while I haven't bother myself with intimate relationships with girls(I don't believe in dating for dating sake unless I want to marry the girl) I wish to have a beautiful, romantic and lovely relationship when the time comes. But is seems my people have lost or do not have the touch.
Anyway,I believe true love can still exist among Nigerians .You just have to pray and search for the right person.
