Politics › Anambra PDP Chairman Kidnapped by funshint(op): 8:49am On Dec 03, 2013
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in
Anambra State, Mr. Ken Emeakayi, was kidnapped
on Monday by unknown gunmen.
Emeakayi was said to be returning to Awka from his
village in Okija when his car was intercepted at
Anyafulujiji Junction, Nri by his assailants.
The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr.
Usman Gwary, told our correspondent on telephone
that he had not been briefed about the incident.
But a source close to the PDP chairman said the
story was true. He said contact had not been made
yet with the family by the kidnappers.

Christianity Etc › Re: Help! I Still Can't Speak In Tongue. by funshint(m): 9:15am On Dec 01, 2013
Zakkyoz: After being in the church for many years, i still can't speak in tongue. I really don't know how to speak in the language i don't understand. We were told that it's abnornal to be in my church without the ability 'Tongueing'. Is my christianity incomplete without it because i do every other things as specified by the Bible.
U̶̲̥̅̊ don't need to be disturbed, speaking in tongue is just for confirmation of God's work; it's not really a test for purity or holiness itself. Don't be dissuaded by church doctrines. Believe me most churches don't really know the true essence of Christianity. Make sure U̶̲̥̅̊ personally know whom U̶̲̥̅̊'re serving and stop running after signs. Love is the most important thing thereafter comes the holy spirit. The holy spirit can manifest itself in various way and ability e.g tongues, interpretation of tongues, dreams, vision, prophesy etc according to the gift giving to everybody. The problem is that so many emphases has been placed on tongues which makes many people to end up speaking gibberish. May God grant U̶̲̥̅̊ more understanding!!!

Sweetlemon: Says who?

Do you want to tell me that you have never at any point in time said or did anything you never regretted?

The man has apologized for his uncouthness. That's fine by me.

As for those saying she wasn't hawking, I don't believe Oshiomole just decided to attack her without her having to have broken one law or the other which would have landed her in jail by now in more developed countries, widow or no widow.
Don't mind them jare. That's a quality of a good leader. If it was to be some other gov they wouldn't see it fit to apologize. Nothing do U̶̲̥̅̊ Osho baba!!!

doncaster: count the number of letters/words you used to reply my post its more than need to tell us what GEJ, IBB, obj, and others stole. Since you asked for what tinubu stole it will be nice if you tell what other assumed corrupt politicians stole.

For me I know that all of them are criminals and corrupt Buhari and tinubu inclusive. So asking what they stole is just lame.
I'm not going to join U̶̲̥̅̊ in 'ur folly because its either U̶̲̥̅̊'re a kid or a fool or an hybrid of both. That's the problem when the new generation don't learn about history U̶̲̥̅̊ wouldn't know what mistake has been committed in the past which might still likely repeat itself. U̶̲̥̅̊ must be a slowpoke to even ask me what IBB or OBJ stole; the "Chief Armed Robbers of Nigeria(C.A.R.N)". Under IBB go and learn about: de-valuation of the currency, de-industrialization of the economy, annulment of the freest election ever in Nigeria(June 12)...and the gulf oil windfall stolen fund. Under OBJ so numerous to count: various political murder cases (Bola Ige, Ayo Daramola, Henry Marshall, Funso Williams, Dipo Dina etc), Transcorp Hilton name it the list is endless. Under GEJ I still don't know where to place him but he's either foolish or highly corrupt. Because even under OBJ so many heads rolled once they are accused of corruption e.g Tafa Balogun, Babalola, Fani Kayode, Salisu Buhari, Alamasiegha etc. No minister or anybody was deemed untouchable under OBJ unlike what we have now under this slowpoke(GEJ). May God save us!!!

Wat is this one talking about.. I shld name one time GEJ stole?! U̶̲̥̅̊ mean d sitting president or another one?? Are U̶̲̥̅̊ drunk or something. Anyway with d level of impunity and blind eyes being shown by GEJ to corruption and corrupt officials under him(Maina, Stella Oduah, Arauma Oteh, Farouk Lawan, Nyesom Wike, Allison Madueke, Mbu etc) there's no doubt that GEJs administration might end up being the worst we've ever seen in the history of this country!!!

See some eediots here selling PDP to us as if we've(SW) nt tasted them b4. Besides those labelling Tinubu a thief shld name one thing that he stole? Pls be specific; I don't want hearsays. Sure Tinubu is not a saint just like everybody but nobody can contest PDP's position as d no1 must corrupt institution from Federal to Local Govt. What do U̶̲̥̅̊ call a party that can sell-off its candidate(Nwoye) for some ulterior/pecuniary reasons or a party that killed one of its governorship candidate(Funso williams) just to pave way 4 another candidate(Obanikoro)or what do U̶̲̥̅̊ call a party who's state chairman(Bode George) was sent to jail 4 stealing more than N50bn from NPA or a party that killed a whole Minister of Justice(Bola Ige) without blinking a eye?! #KillerParty Who cares if U̶̲̥̅̊ morons across d Niger are stuck with PDP/apuga or who cares if U̶̲̥̅̊'re blessed with short memory to forget the evils that hv been done in this land by that evil party(PDP). Most of 'ur accusations against Tinubu are stemmed from share hatred and not facts. Deluded lots...pls leave our Tinubu alone O°˚˚˚ he's light years away from his peers.
Politics › Re: Electricity: New Owners Complain Of ‘overwhelming’ Problems by funshint(m): 11:11am On Nov 28, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Vultures and enemies of progress are already congreting on this thread and spewing gibberish. One confused slowpoke has already confirmed the barely one month old privatisation exercise as a failure.

Ladies and gentlemen, are we comparing the over 3 decades old system that delivered nothing but epileptic power or UP-NEPA syndrome and a one month old privatisation era? What exactly is the basis of this prophesy of doom? How foolish, ignorant and petty could these Tinubu slaves be?

As far as I'm concerned, any fair analysis of the new power regime and post-privatisation era should be done 2-3 years post-privatisation. 2-3 years is not more than the over 3 decades of darkness Nigerians endured under the past clueless, rudderless, corrupt and confused govts.

In the past 2-3 weeks, there were 2 reported incidents of vandalism of major gas pipelines that lead to complete shut down of 2 major power plants and loss of about 1,000 megawatts of power. This accounted for drastic power shortage nationwide witnessed within the period. Besides the issue of vandalism, the new owners of the power firms are still settling down, working out new frame work of operation, identifying facilities that have to be upgraded or changed, etc. This will take a few weeks, after which they'll import some new equipments. It will take time for these equipments to arrive and for installations to be made. The new owners do not have supernatural powers to make miracle happen over night.

The e-she-goat talking of true federalism or devolution of powers on this thread should direct attacks at the members of the NASS, the bulk of whom are APC members who are under COMPLETE control of his master Tinubu. The NASS are the lawmakers with powers to amend the constitution. Yes the president can play a role in bringing about the much desired true federalism but if he pushes too hard on this issue, they'll simply tag him as anti-north.
Na wa 4 dis Nigerian "Pipeline syndrome". Fuel no dey...na pipeline. Light no dey...na pipeline. Food no dey...na pipeline. It is well!

Politics › Re: INEC On Anambra Poll: Only Courts Can Cancel Entire Election by funshint(m): 3:41pm On Nov 19, 2013
Most of u are just so ignorant of what is hpning on ground. Hp u all know that the Returning Officer of the Anambra election has been changed which means Ngige/APC has been vindicated about their allegation against d former returning officer. Secondly what INEC is saying nw is that they've accepted that the whole election is a sham but they cannot order a total cancellation since some results hv earlier been announced because that would be against the electoral law; "once an election result is announced it cannot be re-called again except by a competent court of law". So essentially what INEC is telling Ngige is to approach d court of law if he wants a total cancelation and re-run of d election. Thirdly Ngige/APC were right when they said that a re-run election shld be carried out in nothing less than 4 Local govts instead of just 65 polling units; nw inec whats to rush re-run in more than 150 polling units. What is basically hpning nw is that INEC is nw confused but they don't know hw to admit it. Ngige shld just head to court; he shldn't even bother participating in any rush-rush re-run because that election will definitely be cancelled in its totality. My 2cents!!
