CIC just want to see a bank statement over a 6 month period that's all. I don't think the cash should lie in the account doing nothing for 6 month. boldinc: You don't have to wait 6 months for your POF... if you get ITA soon, apply immediately and add documents showing proof of sales to your POF.

Pls be afraid to pay oo. If u pay, u have dash WES USA free dollars. For Canadian immigration, you must use WES Canada. You can have WES USA send your transcript to WES Canada if you beg them and they agree to send it. But if sending transcript from your school is no problem, then pls kindly create an account with WES Canada and resend transcript. God bless you. MzWalls: Good Evening Everyone,
Please, my transcript was sent to wes usa in error. But, i haven't made payment yet. Can they evaluate for eca from there? Or do i need to send another transcript to wes canada.
I'm afraidto make payment so i dont waste money. Has anyone made this mistake? What do i do please?
Awaiting your responses
Thank you. |

First thing to do is to write IELTS exams but make sure you aim for a band score of 7.5 that would mean that you will be getting 8 in Listening, 7 in Reading, 7 Writing and 7 in speaking. You need to prepare well because proper preparation is the secret behind getting good ielts score. Any thing lesser than the above quoted score is practically useless, trust me. Or else you will be dashing British Council ur hard earned 68k on a steady basis. Secondly you get your highest qualification evaluated. There are whole lot of bodies to choose from but I will advice you to use WES. The secret of getting almost all the scores in education is when you have masters or PHD. With your age (34), you are a bit disadvantaged but not to worry, you will still get some scores on age.. With this two requirements handy and intact, you are now ready to create an express entry profile, it is absolutely free. This stage is usually called DIVING in to the pool. Usually with a projected good score, you could be caught by a fishing Hooke called the DRAW, usually 3 draws are done monthly with the last draw pegged at 434, the lowest this year was 413. So if your projected CRS score is above at least 430 you could be lucky and then the Fishing Hooke will notice you and you will be caught. When you are caught because you have a CRS score greater than what the Canadian masters have decided for that draw, then you will receive what is referred to as the first golden mail popularly known as the ITA (Invitation to Apply). When you get to this stage, by that time you will be well informed and even well grounded than myself lol. Good luck. kenny4uu: 34 & yrs of age, & Hw can I evaluate my certificate? Thnk u. |

Sometimes ago while trying to do some oversees stuff, I can't remember in particular but I clearly saw what looks like "Transcripts from university of port Harcourt are not accepted" written in red ink flashing back and forth. I wish i can remember what website was that. One way to verify is to check if university of port Harcourt is in the list of schools attended in the drop down menu. sistaj: Sorry pls Op kindly clarify the statement that Wes does not conduct assessment for uniport .I need to know cos that's my alma mater for my Masters which I intend to evaluate.Thank you |

Was thinking at a point during ur application one will have to provide a form of ID i.e international passport. But got to the payment page with nothing like that. cochtrane: WES is an institution located in Canada and the US. They help other institutions evaluate educational credentials. After the evaluate the credentials, they produce something called an ECA. The first thing you need to do is create an account on www.wes.org/ca/ that's the Canada offshoot of WES. Then fill everything and input your own mailing address. That's the address WES will send the ECA report to when they are done with the assessment. You will pay on WES website, whether via credit card, your GTB card or Western Union. They will usually send the final report to you by post or courier. Depends on the option you choose.
Now, you need to give WES address to your university after you create your account on WES and you have a reference number. You need to include this reference number in a form with your transcript that will go to them.
This is the address you'll give to your university to send your transcript. You'll put your reference number in that space provided:
WES Reference No. _ _ _ _ _ _ World Education Services Attention: Documentation Center 2 Carlton Street, Suite 1400 Toronto, Ontario M5B 1J3 Canada |

I know my question may seem lame, but I've been cracking my head, and no answer seems to be coming forth.
I wrote ielts to see what my score will be, and I got a decent score.
Since April o. I just paid for WES this month. Been reluctant to do it since, because I just felt, if I get ITA and I don't have the money what's the use.

That's exactly what he's saying. 8777 is Infact the key to getting high CRS score. Anything lesser will result to a low score. U can use the crs calculator to do the permutation and combination. Saintp: Are you saying that 8777 will not give the same point as 7877,7787 or 7778? |

I think I have read on this forum about more messier situation and the person even gotten ppr faster than some well documented applications. Its all about grace. What will be will be. don't trouble ur pretty head. At least u have done an affidavit so why worry. I know its not easy but just be hopeful. yimiton: I feel I need to share this here in case anyone is in my position and don't know what to do about it.
I have names that appear very inconsistent in all my degrees. My full name is Mary Olamide Emeka (not real name) and my name in the following documents are as follows:
Master's degree: Mide Mary Emeka
First degree: Emeka Made Mary (notice the wrong spelling in Mide)
IELTS: Mary Olamide Johnson (married name is Johnson)
WES: Emeka (Johnson) Mide Mary (Olamide) - I like how WES wrote the very complete names
So, to avoid stories that touch, I went to Lagos State ministry of justice and swore an affidavit of 'one and same person' informing the world that no matter how my name is written spelt, it's one and the same person. I listed all the possible ways it can be presented and it was upto 6!
I earnestly pray that CIC will accept my affidavit and treat my application but for now, I'm not letting it give me a headache. I have attached the affidavit with my educational credentials and waiting to submit my application as soon as we do our medicals on Tuesday. |

Hello, The only anomaly is on my WAEC certificate. All others of my documents are intact. I learnt from the thread that since I am evaluating only my highest qualification then I don't need the WAEC certificate hopefully. Redoing another passport is not advisable. Might even be a criminal offence. You may however correct the issue with ur institution and redo ECA. Time and money consuming but ur best option. This will save you unnecessary headache and explanation. I don't know anything about VO and how they think but for documentation purposes, I think an affidavit to that effect will suffice. DatechMan: Thanks for the options elfmann. I guess you were lucky in your own case.

Greetings to everyone.
Some idea came to mind and I need clarification. I am anticipating that my wife's ECA might take forever so I checked the CRS calculator and discovered that we might be able to have a score higher than the last draw 433. My question is can I dive into the pool without her ielts and ECA ? If eventually we got ITA, and are not claiming points for her education and test of English can this be a problem?
Many thanks. |

Thanks for your response. Does it mean I can show the whole 5million in my account as a gift deed? cochtrane: You want a foolproof explanation? Well, I can assure you that you won't get a foolproof explanation One of the critical things I have learnt about this express entry stuff is that there is no foolproof explanation for anything (besides some basics). What works for one person does not necessarily work for another. This is no mathematics, I tell you.
Though most Nigerians are bent on using cash as POF (money in savings or current account), IRCC is actually more flexible. Gift deed is good. You are on the right track there. Use the huge millas to buy treasury bills well before 6 months so they don't show on your account statement, but the TB certificates will carry your name. Use tangible properties transferred to you which you can show to IRCC are easily dissolved into cash, etc.
Just my opinion sha. As I understand, there is no foolproof. |

Good morning House. Please, I am at the ECA and IELTS stage however, I get worried about this POF saga. I have read so many views about pof and CIC requirement. Please seniors in the house should take a look at my situation and help please. I currently do not have the funds in any of my account but I have talked to my cousin and he has promised to help me with some of the cash, secondly, I will be getting some sort of gift deed from my parents too. So am thinking, an account that witness low cash deposit like 3k, 2k, transfer of 800 naira e.t.c all of a sudden gets huge deposits of 3milla and 2 milla respectively within a short period of time. Would it be wise to get the deposit done before even getting an ITA or wait until ITA is received before getting the funds. I would appreciate a foolproof explanation of pof relating to my case. Many thanks. |

That's Naija for you. I paid £6 for the last transcript I ordered from my uni. When it was time for me to order for my undergraduate transcript from a Naija uni, I knew I was in for hell. With so much calls and begging and of course some cash spent I got it after a month. I need to learn to stop complaining about naija . I am simply fed up. einsteino: you mean the much you were charged is £12 (6000naira)? UNN charged me 35k for transcript, one would think overseas institutions would charge a foot and an arm for it. |
