You can pick up another UTME form, but struggle hard to switch to Geology in 200Level (using it as plan B), this is because University Admission get as e be for the Country oo.
I can assure you that you might even 'fall in love' with Geology and need not look into another School. I went through this same process some years back.

Education › Re: Fg Stops Diploma Programmes In Varsities by FutureDon(m): 11:55am On Feb 14, 2012 |
chuksme: The Federal Government has stopped universities in the country from running National Diploma (ND) programmes, urging them to adhere strictly to their approved mandates of awarding degrees and higher degrees. It has equally warned vice chancellors of federal universities against violation of the White Paper released and distributed to the institutions on the 2011 visitation panel. Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, who spoke at the weekend in Abuja at the public presentation of the government White Paper, said the White Paper gave far-reaching recommendations on how to deal with the rot in the nation’s university system. She also said vice chancellors and members of the Governing Councils would henceforth be held accountable for their actions in university management. The minister said: “Universities must focus on their approved mandates of awarding degrees and higher degrees while they leave the award of NCE, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma to the Polytechnics and colleges of education. “Some universities have also veered into areas that are clearly outside their competence. It is foolhardy for a University of Agriculture to float programmes in Law and Management Studies. NUC has been directed to invoke its statutory powers to ensure compliance.” Rufa’i also frowned on overshooting the carrying capacity of universities, saying they must adhere to their approved carrying capacities to ensure standards and avoid overcrowding of classrooms which put unnecessary pressure on available facilities. Meanwhile, principal officers of federal tertiary institutions, which include registrar, bursar and librarian, will now spend one term of five years instead of two terms in office. This was contained in the proposed “Amendments of Tertiary Institutions Act” 2012 recently passed by the National Assembly, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune. The bill, which would be signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan any moment from now, also pegged the retirement age of the officers at 65 instead of the former 60 years.

kaycome: thanks housemates for your advice . Now that my cert is not ready in stool shouldn' i collect the letter my skool want to send on my behalf to wes stating that myers ia not ready? Or wat do you guys tink i should do on that? Even my sch did not know the the day my cert will be ready due to some internal problem they have. Log into your WES profile and check the status, see what is written in the space for ''photocopy of degree certificate''. I doubt if WES will give you a preferential treatment concerning this, credential evaluation could be a major stress in application process. While you wait for more enlightened members to advise you, I will suggest you start looking for some other schools that doesn't require evaluated credentials, since some deadlines are still kinda far.
I know how you feel right now, take it cool bro. |

Good because things have changed very much , OOU is currently the sixth/seventh?(not very sure in between the two) best university in Nigeria according to recent ratings . I am a student of the school and I can proudly tell you that things have changed though some things still need to be addressed and remedied . Check again dude things have changed .
@Topic , it's a very good and welcome development , the schools in Ogun state are so much that the government can't attend to all of their needs hence incessant strikes , malfunctions etc Bravo !! now that they are merged they can be catered for adequately . Recent ranking by which body please? Just wanna know. |

What appears to be a delay in transcript evaluation should be blamed on our respective institutions. Mine took more than 2 months solely because my University did not send my transcript to WES on time. As soon as WES received my transcript, it became a speedy process.
You can only hope that your transcript is sent as earlier as possible. Don't also forget to send the photocopy of your degree certificate. |

werepeLeri: There are so many eeediots on this forum.
OP - You are an epitome of someone who has nothing to do, a time waster, and a busy body in other people's matters. Are you her husband? Or just because she has been appointed to public office gives you the audacity to speak against her in such a manner? Can you tread in the same place she treads? You need to get a life and think before you rant against people you know absolutely nothing about.
Whats wrong if she has a tatoo? Show me anywhere in the constitution where it says, anyone with tatoo should not be appointed to public service. Show us why you think her dressing dis qualifies her as a public servant. Arrant nonsense.
My grand mother of almost 80 years has tatoo all over her body, I guess when you see her in public, you will open your dirty mouth and attempt to debase her for her tatoos, very silly and ras. I guess you are one of those who adorn ear rings and all those other form of fashion and you come here to deride an innocent woman, a wife, a mother, all because you have a cheap laptop and a cheap connection to the internet. |

@ OP, I seriously don't know what you stand to gain concerning this post. I can boldly tell you that's not a tattoo. It's one of those traditional paintings, and I'm sure it's been on her hand for a very long time. Some of those paintings (you wrongly called tattoo) are used to write the bearer's name on any part of his/her body. It could be the leg or hand as you can see on that photo.
I'm guessing you didn't grow up in this part of the world. Don't take it as insult, just trying to make things clear to you all. |
Travel › Re: Life In The Usa As A Student. by FutureDon(m): 8:28am On Feb 08, 2012 |
Sagewood: For those of you aspiring to study here in the USA, remember to plan accordingly. I would recommend that you pursue a program in Healthcare/ medical sciences, such as Pharmacy, Medicine, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Dentistry, Medical Assistant program, Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics and Radiological sciences/ Tech. These areas currently enjoy high favorability in employment, and will continue for the next 10 years according to the US Dept. of Labor. This is because of the aging population, and especially the baby-boomers. No point in studying some worthless courses and you can't even find an employer to sponsor you. Even if you marry an American and get your papers, finding a job may still be a problem. This is my 2 cents contribution as a Nigerian American Doctor in the USA. Thanks for the info, how about Graduate degree in the field of Biomedical Sciences (Anatomy, Cell Biology, Neuroscience e.t.c)? Can they also fit into this category. I'm looking in that direction. |
