triplechoice:I don't think demons are responsible for suicide. I know they are. That's because I have on several occasions healed many of suicidal thoughts by casting out demons. |
triplechoice:I only provided clarification because the OP and his source had wrong diagnosis. I even painted a comparative picture for my position. |
immortalcrown:The content still passes a message. The OP can rectify the integrity issue at any time. |
triplechoice:Okay. Thank you for the clarification. But the post was originally written by an atheist. That doesn't change the theme of the post and the direction of the thread. |
OLAADEGBU:Smiling, you're behaving the same way as atheists who try to escape reality by asking for video evidence for matters that we're not video recorded. You're asking for video evidence of deeper life doctrines that were preached often on deeper life pulpits in the days when deeper life tagged television as the devil's box? Isn't that a joke taken too far? A doctrine is not necessarily written down as an article of faith. Deeper life preached that anyone who left the congregation for any other church is a backslider. You cannot tell me that you're unaware of this. You're an hypocrite. |
OLAADEGBU:I think you should go ask your elders. Anyone who left Deeper life for any other church back then was regarded as a backslider. You need to give your life to Christ. I wouldn't regard you a Christian for denying such a well known position of deeper life. |
OLAADEGBU:I was in Deeper life in early 80s and left in the 90s. I know the Deeper life doctrines of that time very well. It's either you're a new member or you're purely an hypocrite! Who doesn't know Deeper Life had such a doctrine? Those were the days you're immediately tagged a backslider for leaving Deeper Life to join any other church. You should be ashamed of yourself for calling this obvious truth a lie. Are you really a Christian? |
OLAADEGBU:A believer can err. There's what the Bible advised us to do in such scenario. Titus 3:10-11 KJV "A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself." Have you given him your first and second admonition? 1 Timothy 5:20 "Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear." Have you rebuked him? And have you taken your time to hear from his own side of the story? Would you do the same things you're doing now if Kumuyi was the one accused? You're biased. The scripture you quoted is not applicable to people who have been known to be children of God. Olukoya is not a worker of darkness like TB Joshua was. TB Joshua was never a child of God. Olukoya is a child of God even if he has erred, he still remains a child of God open to rebuke and chastisement by God and by elders in the faith. The scripture you quoted instructed us to expose the evil works of darkness. Do you know what the evil works of darkness is at all? Children of God are not in that category. Since Deeper life initially taught you that your congregation is the only Godly congregation, I understand where the bias is coming from. Can't you see that even Kumuyi has risen up to redefine that position? Whatever you're doing against one child of God, you do against the body of Christ. Remember that one day, we shall all stand before judgement seat of Christ. |
jaephoenix:But the OP is actually an atheist. Are you angry that he has exposed what you have been denying? |
The suicide problem of atheism comes from the same demons whose existence atheists deny. Christian converts in Muslim countries, and those who dwell among chronic Muslim brethren suffer a greater measure of persecution which includes but not limited to isolation, death threats (often carried out), rejection, dehumanization, excommunication, molestation, mockery and a host of other evils. Yet, they do not commit suide or have the faintest thoughts of it. The same demons are putting your focus on Christians as the cause of your problems while taking your attention off themselves. You guys should keep deceiving yourselves. A day would come when you would never be able to say again that there's no God because you'll see Him face to face. Those who have died are currently regretting. If they have the chance, they'll love to return to warn you to discontinue in this destructive path of atheism. It's quite too late for them now. If you still have your breath, you still have opportunity today to repent. Yes, those atheists who have died including your revered Darwin is in full regrets right now but it's too late for them. You might ask how am I sure of this. Yeah, I am 2,000% sure because I have met God. I know Him and He knows me. |
All is well in Jesus name. Glory to Jesus!!! Your testimony shall be permanent in Jesus name! God shall perfect all that concerns you in the mighty name of Jesus! A Word for You: God Shall use you to deliver many from the same afflictions He has delivered you from. Keep increasing in faith and in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Dtruthspeaker:Not so brother. They're actually blind. Just like those who crucified Jesus. |
AntiChristian:It's your cup of tea. If that's what you see, then spiritual blindness has happened to you. What Samson had was a gift of might. That doesn't mean the Holy Spirit comes upon him each time he wanted to act. That's absurd. I have a teaching gift. That doesn't mean the Holy Spirit would come upon me each time I want to teach. That's absurd. Once the Holy Spirit gives you a special enablement, you'll flow naturally with ease in that capacity. While others may struggle to achieve the same feat, a gifted individual would do it with such ease, and it would be completely natural. Once you are faced with what you're gifted for by the Holy Spirit, the gift would be stirred up in you to deliver. You'll flow naturally but deliver supernatural results. Natural giftedness is different from Spiritual giftedness. You can't compete with someone who is supernaturally enabled. The Holy Spirit guides and cautions us. However, people can ignore Him and disobey. The disobedient would face the consequence. The Holy Spirit doesn't turn men to zombies. Is that clear? There are no zombies in God's Kingdom. We have the liberty to choose our actions. We can accept or reject guidance but there'll be results and consequences afterwards. If you choose blindness, you'll have it enough. You can keep interpreting the scriptures blindly in spite of the corrections you've received. It's your own cup of tea. You can keep saying everything I said are lies. Tagging them as lies does not change the reality and the truth of the explanations. The life we live as Christians who are filled with the Holy Spirit is what I've described in my previous post. If Islam doesn't come close to that, it's spiritual blindness and crass ignorance for you to tag them as lies. If you're wise, you would have embarked on an investigation and exploration to verify these things. Rather than wallow in your ignorance and deep rooted deceit delivered to you in Islam. If you become open minded and prayerfully investigate these things using the right channels, you'll be stunned at what you'll discover. You'll end up meeting Jesus, and your life wouldn't remain the same afterwards. Forget Christianity as a religion. That's not what we're talking about here. Most Muslims only see religious Christians and use that to judge what Christianity is all about. Christianity is not religion. Even most Christians are just deceiving themselves. A definite encounter with Jesus is all you need. There are many former Muslims here on this platform. One of them goes by the moniker Speaklove. He can relate. I just pity you for your ignorance and the stubborn opposition you put up against the Almighty God to the detriment of your own soul. |
AntiChristian:The Holy Spirit is not our conscience. He's our Guide. He guides and instructs us, and also empowers us to walk in obedience. He teaches us what is right and gives us power to do what is right. The Holy Spirit would guide you to do the will of God. The will of God is not just righteousness alone. It could even be your choice of profession. He could guide you into the profession that God wants for you. He can guide you to choose the spouse who is God's will for you. He can guide you to know whether you should travel abroad or remain in Nigeria. He guides and empowers us to do the will of God. Our conscience on the other hand is our moral police. It makes us feel guilty of some general sins when we commit them. However some people's conscience are dead. They do not even feel guilty when they commit murder. The Holy Spirit can resurrect dead consciences and empower the most despicable sinner to turn a new leaf and live a life of righteousness. However, the sinner must yield to His guidance. He'll then empower the yielding sinner to do the righteousness he could not do naturally. He trains us into righteousness by patiently guiding us, instructing us and empowering us. Even when we fail, He convicts us and brings us back to the path, and keeps guiding us until we are transformed and become what God wants us to be. |
AntiChristian:How many times should we tell you that the Holy Spirit is a Guide? He doesn't force anybody. His work is to enable you do God's will if you decide to do God's will. If you decide to do your own will, He'll warn you and let you have your way. But if you make a decision to do the will of God, then, He'll give you the power to do the will of God. Many people love to do their own wills. But there are a few regenerated souls who love to do God's will. However, it's one thing to be willing, it's another thing to be able. The Holy Spirit adds ability to your willingness. A person having the Holy Spirit can receive power to overcome the temptation to sin if he actually does not want to sin. Yeah, the Holy Spirit will strengthen our weaknesses. But if you decide to sin, the Holy Spirit would warn you and leave you to do whatever you please. That's why the Bible says: "As many as are led (guided) by the Spirit of God, they're the sons of God." Romans 8:14. "Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves." James 1:22. He guides into all Truth He doesn't force into all Truth. When you choose to be a doer of the word, He'll empower you to do the word. If you choose to be just a hearer and not a doer, He'll warn you and watch you as you reject His warning. |
TenQ:He will never answer the questions. He'll rather create another meaningless topic. |
Mvnster:Meanwhile, their Allah told them Adam was a prophet. They couldn't even take a clue from the fact that Adam their prophet committed sin; what would then stop other prophets from committing sin? Prophet Adam of Islam disobeyed Allah by approaching a tree Allah commanded him not to approach. So, then, if it is impossible for prophets to commit sin, why did Adam commit the sin of disobedience? The only truth Allah told them in that their Quran was that Jesus was sinless. Every other thing in the Quran was a lie. And indeed Jesus was sinless. He was the only sinless man who ever lived. That should be an eye opener to the average Muslim but the lies they hold on to were planted through a well coordinated indoctrination and brainwashing process. They can't even see truth if you break their heads and put it inside. Every Muslim needs some sort of deliverance from the Deceptive spirit of Allah before they can see truth. Allah is very good at his job. Indeed, he's the best of deceivers. |
Mvnster:He doesn't understand the work of the Holy Spirit and His operations in believers, so he's creating wrong topics that hold no water. Their lying Quran portrayed prophets to them as people incapable of sinning. |
AntiChristian:If He's dead to this world, He wouldn't be saving souls, baptizing people with His Holy Spirit and healing the sick as He does today. And you'll agree with me that Mohammed is not just dead to this world. He's completely dead. |
AntiChristian:No my friend. Jesus is alive. Even your Quran says so. |
AntiChristian:Allah told you that I'm lying just in order to deceive your soul. Some day, God would open your eyes to the truth if indeed you're a seeker of Truth. I've been a Muslim, so I understand where you are are talking from. You're as ignorant as I was when I was following a dead Mohammed. My dad was an extremely zealous Muslim who came from a generation of Muslims himself before Christ met him. |
AntiChristian:Your cup will soon be full. If this is all your brains could still come up with after all that you have read in responses so far, then all I can say is "may God have mercy on you." |
AntiChristian:So, if someone is correced, he must also be forced to obey? Didn't you read that even Samson's parents corrected him to no avail? After correction, a man still has his choice. Just as you have your choice today after many corrections. But, you won't have your choice on the day of judgement. Samson can relate. |
AntiChristian:In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit only speaks to prophets. In the new Testament, He speaks to everyone. Samson was a Nazarite. He wasn't a prophet. He already knew the rules of a Nazarite but he blatantly broke it. |
AntiChristian:God does not always have to send His Holy Spirit on Samson before he could act. He had the gift of might. An anointing that he could use and misuse. God punished him eventually for his errors. |
Dtruthspeaker:They don't know what they're doing. |
AntiChristian:Assuming you have a few policemen in an area troubled by terrorists. If you as a Governor donates firearms to the policemen in order to help them fulfil their purposes as Law Enforcement Officers; and one of them takes his guns and firearms to kill an animal and 30 people who enraged him, would it be just for anyone to accuse you of wrongdoing? The Holy Spirit empowered Samson. The locks of his hair were his storehouse of power. He had the Gift of Might. He could use it as he pleased but in the end, he would be accountable to God who gave him the power. The same way God has given you the Gift of Life. You can use that life as you please. You can even blaspheme the Holy Ghost with it, but in the end, you would be accountable unto God who gave you the life. |
AntiChristian:I was actually supposed to ignore the thread because the ignorance it showcases was so high. Even a normal Christian who rarely goes to church would see how irrelevant the thread is. I had to post a reply only because I wanted to educate you a bit. I don't expect any Christian to respond to this post because it's so ignoble. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God is a meek Spirit. He's gentle. He is our guidance but He also enables us to fulfil our purpose. He is an enabler. He can make the weak strong. He is the Power of God. The power to do all things is in Him. He empowered Samson according to Samson's purpose. He empowered the Lord Jesus while He was in His human body. That's why Christ said "I can of my own self do nothing." The same way Samson could do nothing without the Holy Spirit. He empowered the prophets to see the future and tell the mind of God to the people. He is the one who empowers us to live a righteous life and to win the battles over sin and the devil. Whatsoever the purpose of a child of God is, He is the One who empowers us to fulfil our purposes. He is the Spirit of Wisdom, Counsel, Might, Understanding, and Knowledge. He is also the Spirit of the Lord and of the Fear of the Lord. In Samson, He operated through Him as the Spirit of Might to bring judgement unto Israel's enemies and deliver them from their oppressors. You can keep ranting in your ignorance. It doesn't change the fact that God is Almighty and His Spirit empowers His servants to fulfil their purposes in life. |
Happy birthday mama. Long life and more prosperity in Jesus name. |
TheFinesseKid:It means the occurrence is abnormal. There are some unknown forces at work which might be either natural or spiritual. |
It's a pity. If you can't understand this simple passage of scripture, how can you understand deeper truths? In the Old Testament, the Spirit of the Lord doesn't dwell inside people because there were no sanctified men. The Spirit of the Lord dwells in people today because the Blood of Jesus sanctifies those who believe, and therefore could become a habitation for God. In the old testament, this wasn't possible. The Spirit of the Lord only visits and departs. Samson was raised by God as a defender of the nation of Israel against the oppressive Philistines. He missed his callings and traded his anointing for sexual pleasure. The Spirit of the Lord is a gentle and meek Spirit. He doesn't force you. He only guides you. You still have a choices whether to accept His guidance or reject it. It is still the same way He operates till today. |

Our conscience has no power to control us but let us know the good from the bad! Samson had the Spirit which empowered him to kill. The spirit gave him power! It didn't guide! The Spirit left David on his own to fall into committing murder and fornication!
