This is the best decision you have ever made and if you are consistent, you will be financially free very soon. Started out in 2017 after i saw MK82's trend and i jumped into it. Made a lot of mistakes and got my account terminated. Started all over again, this time well informed and know things to do to avoid amazon's hammer. Today i see N400,000 every month. Don't ever be discourage with little beginning. With consistency, prayers and hard work, you will get there. No short cuts, just be diligent. I am still a working progress. Still writing like mad until i get the 7 digit figure. Below are some of my sales report to encourage you and to make you know you have chosen the right path to financial freedom when most Nigerian youths are still carrying files up and down looking for job, you can live your dream life from kdp income. Keep the faith, it will take you a lot of sleepless nights to get what you want, but trust me, in the long run, you will get there. The best thing about kdp is that you are not depending on the Nigerian economy to survive. All thanks to God, Mk82 and the rest of the kdp forebearers who showed us the path and light to financial freedom working from home.

So, I just borrowed money to write two books.

I saw another book doing well in the market. I contacted my friend who studied in one of the schools in the US to help me write and that I will pay him.

The money I offered was 33% than what my writer normally charge.

He complained and suggested that he will write the book while we share the royalties. I was OK and gave him the title.

Three weeks later, he said he gave it to someone else to write but the person did not finish the writing. He said he was going to compete it and send it to me. Two months plus without hearing from him but today, he just called me that he wants me to teach him how to get the book uploaded to amazon.

I was pissed although I promised to.
I have asked him severally to join this journey some years back but he was never interested.

I just feel pained but gets to move on.

1. Find niches with more than 1000 searches but not more than 2000 - 3000 searches.

2. Find niches with an average BSR of not more than 50,000.

3. Your book cover must be very catchy.

4. Your book title must be very captivating and appealing and problem solving.

5. Your book description should be your selling point which captures the pain points of your prospects and if possible go with bullet points.

6. You must have a review generating strategy even before you lunch your book.

7. Run free promotions of your book for the first 2 weeks after going live on Amazon. (Free promo is only for your ebook, not the Paperback)

8. Once you have 5 reviews, then start running Amazon ads and you can also run Facebook ads by sending traffics to your Amazon sales page after capturing the leads.

9. Make more books on the same niche.

Try doing your Drivers license. I applied for and got my Permanent license within 1 month and spent about 12k to get it (I had my driving school certificate before tho) or you could do your international passport at about 25-45k.

Good for you op, in this digital age is either you go through trial and error by using free resources, or paying (investing ) someone who has done what you want to do.

But beware of who you pay, not doing my due diligence make lost #25k to learn KDP back then. But we thank God now.
