PointB: There is nothing wrong with the location of the location of the current military academy, and no one has remotely suggested that it should be relocated. But we are saying that, knowing the sort of country Nigeria is, it is important to thing regional balance when establishing federal infrastructure. Why should one section of the country have most of the military institution located in their domain, while others have none.

Your comment about members of zones dominating military academies in the location is self incriminating, and that is exactly at the core of the problem. The North have have used the advantage of having the academy closer to them to dominate the institution, to the detriment of other section of the country. While you are right that the issue of transparency in admission should be looked into, the question you should be asking yourself is by whom? And why has this not been done before now? Besides, what is to say new military academy in the south is a waste of fund? But when sited in the North, it becomes prudent!


You can call me names all you like, but we all know your type. You keep mute when the status quo favours you, but should tribalism and ethncism when it favours someone else. Your hypocrisy is classic!

PointB: Location does indeed matter. Not many people want to travel the distance to attend school, even if the enrollment office is nearby. On the other hand citing the academy in a location serves as both advertisement and motivation to attend.

And btw, this is not a call for relocation, it is rather a call for 'more' military school. Obviously having just one has bequeathed unfair advantage to a section of the country, and I doubt if one is enough for a populatin the size of Nigeria. Finally, Nigeria need to balance alot of things. Citing of military academy is one of them.

I aint saying state creation has totally eradicated community/ethnic agitation/tension. No matter the number of state created even 500 to represent d number of 500 dialects spoken ,there will still be agitation!!!


Within Homogenous community there is agitation!! But the states created so far has helped reduced such tension and agitations experienced during regional system.........!!!


E.g An Igboman can't tell a Calabar man what to do with Cross River same goes with Efik or Ibiobio (Ndigbo,bikonu ooo) same goes with Ondo and Ekiti man(even when both has alot of similarities)



Atleast,diving Nigeria into states is a very good development.......now,each state shd be given that autonomy has required by Federal System of Government to develop the people so grouped under HER!!!

If states were abolished.....then we go back to the problems of the 60s!!!
